Third party cycle

Dear All,
As per my knowledge , third party cycle is defined as inspite of providing goods directly to customer , organization do it by introducing a third party called vendor who directly supplies to customer and produces invoice of same to organization. Can anybody explain the total workflow like what things are needed to be created in this cycle and for whom like po , sales order and others ?
regards,

Hi,
Third-party sale order process passes through SD to MM module. By creating a third-party item in a sales order, purchase requisition, or purchase order, you can request that the vendor sends the goods directly to your customer. A document can consist of one or more third-party items.
Process Flow for Third party process with SD-MM Integration
Step1: Your organization structure should be ready before defining the Third party sales process.
Step2:Create Sales Order: Based on the customeru2019s purchase order we create sales order in the SAP system. Now if the customer supports EDI then creation of the sales order in SAP can be automated through customer inbound EDI.
While creating the sales order we need to specify the item category as u201CTASu201D or u201CZTASu201D. TAS is a standard item category provided by SAP for 3rd Party Sales Order. Ideally we copy and create our own u201CZTASu201D item category.
Now while saving the sales order system automatically creates purchase requisition against the sales order in the background due to TAS/ZTAS item category.
Step3:Create Purchase Order
Once the purchase requisition is created, we take that purchase requisition and convert into purchase order for the vendor who is going to supply those materials to the customer. The creation of purchase order can be automated by maintaining relevant master data.
In this case the account assignment category in the purchase order should be u201CYu201D and item category in the purchase order should be u201CSu201D.
These account assignment category and item category will control subsequent flow in the process.
Agin if vendor is on EDI then go for EDI settings.
Step4:Delivering Goods to Customer
Once vendor receives the PO, vendor ships the goods directly to the customer as per the guideline provided on the PO.
Step 5:Goods Receipt (GR)
GR can be done either of following 2 ways.
1.Manual GR.
2.You can also Automate the GR:
This GR will have financial posting in such a way that no posting will happen to Inventory account rather it will directly post to COGS account.
Step6:Entering Vendor Invoice :
The vendor sends you an invoice. You enter the invoice receipt in Invoice Verification. The invoice receipt is necessary (Based on the setting made at item category level) before a billing document can be created in SD.
Step7:Creating a Billing Document for the Customer.
Above is the whole process of Third party sales.
Thanks,
AMIT

please provide me in steps the procurement cycle in third party order and stock transport order.

    Hi,
    STO Process: -
1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group :0007 using T-Code XK01.
    2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
    4. In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
    11. Create Delivery :VL10G
Click on the Background Button after selecting line item
A message is flashed : See log for information> next Click on Log for delivery creation Button >click on line item>click on document button to get Delivery document No
    12. Picking, PGI:VL02N
    13. Billing:VF01
Save the document and its done
    14. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice
    15. MIGO - Goods Receipt against outbound Delivery
    16. J1IEX - Capture & Post Excise Invoice
    Pricing configuration for STO: -
In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (For e.g. UB) and Supplying Plant.
Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condition type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
You can create new freight / delivery cost conditions in M/06 and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08 and also assign the Accrual Key to this and do the Account Determination for this Accrual Key in OBYC
    At the time of PGI, following accounting entry will get generated;
    Stock A/c - Dr - 110 INR (Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 INR (Supplying Plant)
Freight Clearing A/c - Cr - 10 INR (Supplying Plant)
    Third Party Process Flow: -
    1) MM01 - General Item category Group should be BANS in basic view of material master.
    2) VA01 - Creation of sales order with VA01 transaction in SD module
    3) When sales order is created system automatically creates a PR for the material with item category as "S"--> Third Party Item
    4) ME21N - Directly PO with item category as "S" and delivery address as customer address
    5) MIGO - Statistical GR by MM ( When it is made goods are received and delivered)
    6) MIRO - Invoice by MM for vendor

  • Third party sales revenue getting posted to Profit Center valuation in COPA

    Hi,
We have activate profit center valuation for our operating concern.
During normal OTC cycle (third party sales), all the data is flowing correctly in legal view for the COPA document
In profit center valuation, only revenue is flowing and no other values like discounts, standard costs are flowing to Profit center valuation view
My question why only revenue is flowing and not any other values. Is this way system should behave
    Thanks.

If you have created new GL Accounts to map the Third party scenario, the pre-requesite is that you might need to create cost elemenet with category 11 or 12.
Further only assignments are condition types assigned to value fields.
Check if the billing type is reset under TCode KE4W.

  • Capture cost of procured materials in a third party sales order scenario

    Dear Experts,
I'm developing a third party sales order solution to my company following the recommended third party scenario by SAP.
Everything is working fine from creation of sales order, automatic creation of purchase requisition, create purchase order using the purchase requisition ect...
The problem I have is the in the Sales order, the cost of the material is not getting captured correctly. The condition maintained in the sales order is VPRS and it is deriving the material cost from the material master record. Ideally it should be deriving the material cost from the invoiced value or else from the purchase order(which is the actual amount we are spending to buy the items). Deriving the cost from material master depicts an incorrect profit in the sales order.
Can someone please advice me how to derive the cost(to be shown in the sales order under VPRS condition)from the invoice or the purchase requisition and Not from the material master.
I'll be grateful if you can describe in a step by step proceedure.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Lakshmipathi
    Thanks alot for your response.
As u mentioned, at the point of sales order creation the price does gets picked up from the Material Master.
But during Billing, it does NOT get updated to reflect the purchase order price. If that happens, then its perfect.
I did a complete testing cycle and the material master price remains unchanged throught the process upto billing.
Is there any special parameter that I should maintain in VPRS condition for this to happen?
Anyway thanks again for ur reply, appreciate it alot. Let me know your views on this.
As u advise I'll post it on the sales forum as well.

  • Billing Qty in Third party sales

    Hi ,
I am MM person , executing a Cycle for third party Sales.
I have query regarding Item category , in std SAP Billing relevance field value for Item category TAS is set as F ... what does it mean ? What if i set it to B , what would be difference ?
Also , at my end , I have creates a Sales order - > PR - > PO and now i am changing Qty in PO and expecting that it will automatically update my Sales order but it is not happening.
    Is it Std functionality
    regards
    Shrey

    Hi
SAP Billing relevance field value for Item category TAS is set as F ...
    what does it mean ?
F: Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice quantity
Relevant for order-related billing documents based on the invoice receipt quantity (third-party business transaction). The system transfers the order into the billing due list only after the vendor invoice has been received and processed in the purchasing department. After the receipt of each invoice, a  customer invoice is created for the quantity that appears on the vendor invoice. The order has status "Billed" until the next vendor invoice is received.
Item category TAS (Third party item) is set up with billing relevance "F" in the standard system.
This process can also be related to the quantity of goods receipt.
    This is self explanatory
F means system will check whether MIRO has been done for that item
What if i set it to B , what would be difference ?
Billing relevance B is wrong for third party because if the sales order is for 5 qty qnd the vendor PO is for 5 units but the vendor delivers only 3  to your customer directly and he gives you bill for only 3 and you do MIRO for 3
If you make Billing relevance B system will make customer invoice for 5 qty which is wrong
If you make Billing relevance F system will make customer invoice for 3 qty which is correct
Also , at my end , I have creates a Sales order - > PR - > PO and now
i am changing Qty in PO and expecting that it will automatically update
my Sales order but it is not happening.
    Is it Std functionality
Yes if you update po qty system will not update the sales order qty
you need to go for some development here
    Regards

  • Billing in Third Party Scenerio

    Hi All,
I completed the complete cycle for third party process. While i am trying to do billing for Third Party Scenerio, i getting a warning message "No Billing quantity has been determined".If i ignore it, i am able to create the billing. But the issue is that we are using a user-exit in billing.Because of the above message, User-exit fails.I want to aviod the error. Please guide me.
    With Regards
    Vinu.N

This error occur b'coz of two possibilities:
    1) Check your billing relevance in Item Cat (VOV7) in your THIRD PARTY process or sales order. It should be F.
    2) IR - Invoice receipt (MIRO) should have been completed before you raise a sales invoice.
+If you don't want IR to happen before raising sales invoice, select a relevant Billing relevance for your process Item Cat. +
    Hope this can assist you.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Issue in returns PO process- Third party

    Hi All,
We have an issue in returns PO process -Third party
Customer Forward Processp flow as below
OR (US Sales Order) -> US Purchase Requisition (NB) -> US Purchase Order  (NB) -> MIGO (Mvt 101) -> MIRO (Vendor Invoice) -> F2 (Customer Invoice)
    Customer Return Process:as below
ZREP (with US customer) -> US Purchase Requisition (NB) -> US Purchase Order Return (NB) -> MIGO (Mvt 161) -> MIRO (Vendor Credit Memo) -> ZRE (Customer Credit Memo)
When the user raises Return purchase order , it is taking  the price from Inforecord  for current validity date.
But ,Our user wants , it should select the same price from the  initial purchase order( as in forward process) even though the price changed in Inforecord for the current validity date when the Return purchase order raises .
Please advise how to achevie this reqmt. Any user exits available.

    Amara.

    Hi ,
Thank you for the answer .  Actually the user wants to capture the  same price from the initial PO (forward cycle) into the returns PO(return cylce) .
For example  initial PO (forward cycle) raised on 01.11.2008 at price $100 , then Inforecord changed at  price from $100 to $200 on 20.11.2008.
User raised  the returns PO(return cylce)  on 21.11.2008 , then price is taking as $200 . But the user wants to capture the old price ($100) from the initial PO in to the return PO .
    How it can acheived.

  • Third party logistics (TPL) Urgent

    Hello everyone,
Can anyone help me with third party logistics (maintaining). To my understanding from:
"A third-party logistics provider (abbreviated 3PL) is a firm that provides outsourced or "third party" logistics services to companies for part or sometimes all of their supply chain management function. Third party logistics providers typically specialize in integrated warehousing and transportation services that can be scaled and customized to customer’s needs based on market conditions and the demands and delivery service requirements for their products and materials."(Resource: Wikipedia)
Cont: 3PL manages all the inventory of an organization (Warehouse management), maintaining handling units, packing the finished products, optimize routing and ship the finished products to customers. so, generally they stay next to manufacturing plant and carry out these activities. So, I'm comfortable in MM,WM and LE cycles. Can anyone help me what would be the difference from regular cycles as all the items are shipped through a seperate organization (Third party) . It would be great if some one explains it in the form of a scenario and various configurations involved and process flow (PO, GR and GI)
Hoping for a positive response from you, I take leave
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gandluri Srinivas

    Hi,
I have worked on exactly this scenario at Japanese electronics company in the UK. They used a third party transport company situated next door (in the same building).
The solution is to NOT do anything differently, do NOT use complex third party orders etc. simply use the same process that you would normally use but let the TPL users enter the transactions directly in SAP as if they were your own employees.
They can manage the consignments, deliveries, goods issues etc. they can also manage the stock movements.
You obviously have to be careful with the authorisations but this should all be manageable.
So basically design the processes as if your own users were doing this and just allow the TPL users to post the transactions and view the delivery due list etc.
It sounds dangerous but remember that they are only processing the receipts from YOUR POs and the goods issues for YOUR Sales orders.

  • Third Party Wall and Car Chargers for ZV

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the third-party wall and car chargers that are available on Ebay? I just purchased a Vision: M yesterday and was wondering if I should purchase a bundle pack off of Ebay with a case, chargers, TV cables, and sync cable? Or if I should only purchase the skins off Ebay and get a genuine Creative charger? I love the unit already (I have been a Creative customer for 6 years) but fi've hours via USB is too long a charge cycle for me...
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Integration of ChaRM with third party tools

    Hi all,
We are in the process of building the solution for Change Request Management implementation integrated with third party tool.
As the normal process for ChaRM is to work with the Service Desk functionality (to raise a ticket, then support message, change request, change document etc...), but what we need is create the change request, and change document directly with ChaRM without using the Service Desk functionality.
Did anybody come across this situation?
    Please share your experience.
    Thanks in advance.
    Balaji

    Hi Balaji,
there is no problem, as I understand, you want to use ChaRM without Service Desk. OK, than you create directly a Change Request in CRMD_ORDER, the transaction type you have to select is SDCR (standard transaction type), you have to approve it and then you can create a change document, it is not necessary that you start with a Service Desk ticket like SLFN.
You need configured TMS a SolMan Project with a Maintenance Cycle, thats it (but this is enough , don't forget the customizing).
I hope I understood you correct

  • MRP in third party scenario. System not creating schedule lines

    HI
I am using third party subcontracting scenario. As i am purchasing material but i am not taking material in under my company. I am paying to my vendor but the delivery is going to my subcontractor.
Here i am able to create planned order or purchase requisition. But MRP is not generating schedule lines for that vendor.
    Regards,
    Anand.

    Hello,
    Check the following settings.
    1. Source list active in Material master.
    2. Valididy of the source list.
    3. Any quota arrangement
    4. Purchase infor record.
Note: all are OK, but still PR's only created, then check for the requirement date, if the requirement date lies before the validity of the source list then also system will create only purchase requisitions.
for this calculation you have to check the lead time for procurement cycle you have to check. Based on this no. of days only system will try to create the procurement proposals.
If the lead time is very high and this is going beyond the sourcelist validity, then also PR's only created.
So there are so many possibilities. check for the above said things and revert back.
    regards,
    <Manick>

  • How do I program my third party keyboard to skip song in any application?

I have a microsoft keyboard, becuase unfortuantely I couldn't afford to buy the Apple one... The keyboard has function keys, number pad a pause/play button, mute, volume up and volume down. What's really annoying that it does not have a skip song key, or go back song key. I have tried to program it through system preferences, but that only works when I am in the itunes application. What I want to achieve is, for example, go into safari and press a particular function key and then it will skip the song that's playing or if I hold it down, fast forward. Just like you would do on the actual apple keyboard.
Is there anything I can do to do this?

With BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) accounts e-mail accounts are polled every 15 minutes for mail. If mail is found then it is pushed to the device. Then the mail account is polled every 3 minutes (for 5 cycles) for mail. If there is no mail found, then it will be polled again in 15 minutes.
Gmail and Yahoo! Mail have special agreements with RIM that allow the mail to be delivered instantly, thus the instantaneous push. If you want your mail instantly pushed then you would need to create a BlackBerry E-mail Account (via your carrier's BIS web site) then configure your mail account to forward the mail to the BlackBerry e-mail account.
For example, let's say you have T-Mobile. You could create an e-mail account called [email protected] Then you would configure your third-party e-mail account to forward any e-mails received to the [email protected] address. This way the messages would come through instantly. More information on this is here: Methods of Receiving E-mail on BlackBerry
The only other option would be to use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) or a Hosted BES provider (like MailStreet or ExchangeMyMail).

  • Third party app writing to exercise ring

Can third party apps such as strava send their data on workouts to count towards the exercise ring? When I use strava on the watch for 25-30 mins all I get is 3-4 minutes of exercise registered, but when I use both strava and outdoor cycle i get the full time registered. Seems a little strange that I have to open and start both apps to get it to fill the exercise ring.
