Third-Party Insurance?

I used to have my Blackberry insured through Safeware. It covered everything, including accidental damage. Unfortunately, they don't cover the iPhone yet, and rather than wait for them to start covering it, I'd like to find an alternative.
I've heard rumors that State Farm may do this, but I can't seem to find info on their site about it. What does everyone suggest?

digitalleash will cover it, 100.00 for two years -- at least they have covered a few.
There are very few homeowner or renters policies that don't cover it -- it needs to be added as personal property protection - it cost me 12.99 paperwork fee to add my iPhone to my homeowners insurance, where it is joining my computers and cameras. Normally anything that has a value of 450.00 or over in your home can be added.
note that the web is MyDigitalLeash.com, not just digitalleash,com which points you to an adult content site. You will need to send an inquiry and they will get back to you. I haven't tried it for iPhone, but my office insures all their pda phones with them. Others in this website have reported that they also cover the iPhone. Once caveat -- you have to insure it within the first 14 days of ownership.

Who is well regarded third party insurer (loss or theft) for iPad? I am not looking for warranty, I mean actual insurance. All my other computer equipment is under my State Farm personal articles policy, but State Farm told me today they no longer insure the iPad due to high risk of a loss. I have a 64GB 3G iPad. Definitely Google on your choices... I've seen much better evaluations and many more about Square Trade.
The key is the accident, breakage coverage which you don't get with Apple Care. OTOH, AC is excellent to have, especially if you live near an Apple Store and can just drop by to have a genius diagnose and fix your device!
That's too bad about State Farm.
Also, the ultimatedad coupon doesn't seem to add anything over the 20% you already get at ST.

Return process in third party

please find one senario mentioned below
i have raised a sales order with 630 units of a third party material, followed by
630 units of Tata Swach Crystal were sold to M/s Friendu2019s Combine Indore (Madhya Pradesh) through third party sale order from TWGZ plant (Uttarpradesh) on 30/11/2011.
It was a CST sale. Here all the sales are made against advance payment.
Materials were purchased from The Supreme Industries Noida. Since it was a third party sale, initially Third Party Sale order (SO No - 2010209914) was created. Order type ZTPS.
From the sale order Purchase requisition was generated (PR No -3900009137 ) and then PO was generated (PO No - 4100007931).Based on the PO vehicle was loaded and GR (GR No - 5105605330) and Miro was done and then invoice (Invoice No u2013 2644001743) was generated in the warehouse (TWGZ plant).
Invoices were handed over to the driver and vehicle was dispatched for delivery of goods to Indore. Goods are invoiced on delivered basis (Vehicle is arranged by company).
Now on the way to Indore (in MP) vehicle met an accident and 50% of the materials got damaged.
50% good stocks were kept at transport go down for about 1 year where it took time for investigation to complete for insurance claim. In the mean time company has come up with a new warehouse at Indore (TWID plant). Now that the investigations are over, company wants to take GR/build up 50% good stocks in TWID plant.
Also note that after the accident to cater customer requirement, credit for 630 units were given to the customeru2019s account. Now it is also important to normalise customeru2019s account as because customer had already paid the amount in advance.
Now please suggest the ways to build up the 50% good stock in TWID plant.

Firstly, let me request you not to disclose the Client's business details (like Customer Name, Vendor Name, Material Name, Plant codes, etc) on Public Forums.
Now, coming to your question, there are many angles to your question.
1. The Transaction has happened sometime in November 2010 & you too would know that MM & FI Periods would be closed by now.
2. Your client would have already filled Excise & Sales Tax Returns to espective authorities by now.
3. You have mentioned that after accident Credit of 630 Units was given to Customer? What do you mean by this statement? Was a Credit Memo was issued? or the Advance Payment received Entry was reversed? or another Delivery of 630 units was made to Customer?
4. What about Vendor? Has he already beed paid?
You will have to throughly discuss this matter with client & ask them what is that they exactly require to be done now & then explore the options.

Third party but SD billing before MM billing

Hi,
In my third-party flow I can not wait for receiving the MM invoice. My SD billing process is daily.
So I want to use the functionality of third-party but I want the SD invoices does not depend on the MM invoice.
I have changed the item category TAS.
Instead of billing quantity F (SD invoice quantity depend of MM invoice quant.) I have put A (invoiced quantity depend on sales order quantity).
The same in the coping control but it is not working.
I have checked the copying requ: 012 thinking in a standard validation but I have found nothing at all.
Can you help me.

If you are still using 012 routine in copy control then remove this routine because this routine is used for following :-
When using a third party vendor to source products for a customer's order, the invoice for the goods should not be issued until the vendor has actually delivered the goods to the customer. In order to insure that this is the case, an additional validation check is needed. This requirement contains this check and can be assigned to the relevant third party billing item category to insure that undelivered items are not billed prior to delivery.
So instead of this you can try using standard routine 2 Item/order related and test the scenario if works,else you can use Z routine as per your requirement.

Third party apps and peripherals to blame?

I am wondering what applications and external add-ons are working and which ones are not?
It appears to me a lot of people are having problems with external hard drives and previously installed applications.
I did a clean install and have only added Apple programs so far (iLife, iWork). I am hesitant to add any other programs for fear of messing up my install, or worse... my Macbook.
The big question is who did the research and development (lack of) on Leopard.
It is beginning to look more and more like Apple focused all it's attention on perfecting the OS and left all the responsibilities for software compatibility to the third party software developers.
Bad idea. Companies that make software for Apple computers are catering to a far smaller market than our PC brothers, which leads me to believe they do not have the resources to insure 100% compatibility. Apple should have anticipated this and performed more testing.
When I installed Roxio Toast 7 I could not burn a disk image. Shortly thereafter my superdrive stopped working completely. I found out from other posts, that you need version 8, or an older version of 7 to get it to work. On Roxio's website there is no mention of this at all. No a peep.
Apple had a few years to check compatibility and work software engineers to make sure their products worked on Leopard.
I further confirmed my suspicions when I visited the apple store today. I was there because my superdrive stopped working. After I installed Leopard and started to re-install my applications (Office, Toast), the drive quit accepting disks. They replaced the drive while I was at the store. By the way they said it was a coincidence. Mmmm.
While I waited (Fantastic customer support by the way, even on a Sunday) I noticed all the computers in the store happily running Leopard without a hitch. I looked deeper and found little or no third party software installed. External hard drives and cameras appeared to be working fine, but with no added software.
My suggestion is be real careful with what you install.
To Apple... Pleeeaaase test your products more thoroughly before sending them out the door. It may not be your responsibility, but if there are known issues then they should be disclosed.
On the other hand how sad it that... Imagine- "To install our software you must take the weekend off, back up all your data, delete all third party apps, and hope you hardware works with our new OS. Some of you will be lucky and others will not. Meeting our system requirements does not really guarantee anything... Good luck".

How can you handle Third Party Payment in Oracle Payroll

I have a question and that is i would like to know how i can restrict a dependent from getting an Insurance benefit after he has crossed the Age =18 Also the To date must be calculated and populated automatically.
Also, how can we handle this third party payment in the Oracle Payroll.

For the payment piece, create a payment method on the person record as a third party. you would need to have setup the recieving party as a third party organization before setting up at employee level.
During normal payroll processing, you may run Third party check writer to generate a check .
Ankur thank you for the response i have understood that we must create a Payment Method and Check the Check box for Third party Payment on Payment Method window.But how will that be handled for case where an employee has taken a Loan from a Bank and he has to be deducted every month from his salary how can we handle such a requiremet.

Third Party order - Acct Assig - G/L Acct

Hi Gurus,
In case of third party scenario, with Acct assignment category V (Direct Shipment), how G/L Acct is picked under item details.
Also, i found there are no Finance doc generated @ MIGO & in MIRO, value is debited to Material In Transit Acct & Credited to Vendor ?
How it is directly posting it to Mat In Transit acct, why there is no GR/IR...just like normal GR.

Well to make my question simple I need to account Delivery Costs(Freight,Insurance etc) during GR.Although I have setup all the COnd types in PO Pricing.Now I need to know since GR is Statistical and Goods are in Transit can I account the Delivery Costs into seperate G/L acounts??
It would be great if any of the Forum ppl have already setup capturing of the Delivery Costs in PURCHASING and accounting them into Sepate a/c's. I feel this is Common Scenario in most of the Mfg Org. So knowledge transfer is higly appreciated!!

Third party Client copy tools -

Hi,
We have a production system copy in our QA which has about 6.5 terrabyte. How do we know the size of the client in that system? If I have to make another client copy in my QA it will be highly impossible - considering storage, memory, backup times etc. To justity buying a third party tool I need to give exact size of the production client in QA ( not the whole database size) to the mgmt. Is it possible?
Any one know any third party tools to copy subsets of a client? such as Gold client, Infoshuttle etc.? Which product is a better option?

How to reposition some of the third party icons on the RHS of the menu bar

I want to move some third party menu bar items closer to the center of the menu bar display.
Help says to do a command drag but this does not work on third party icons (and doesn't do much for apple icons either).

Hi, welcome to Apple discussions.
Menu items can only be flush against the right side of the menu bar -- you can't move them to the center. And as you've discovered, command drag is for re-arranging your set of items, not for re-positioning. Re-arranging only works on Apple menu items and third-party menu items that have reverse engineered Apple's method of writing menu bar items.
Other third-party menu items are added to the left side of the Apple ones in the order they are ready for service (often their launch order, but not always). The only way to re-arrange these accurately is to write an AppleScript that launches your items in a specific order with a delay between each to insure they are active for service in the same order. Then, remove those menu items from your Login items and replace them with the script.

Activating a third party phone.

My phone broke so I purcahsed one off of a third party site (Ebay, Amazon, etc). When I activate the phone to my plan on my line, will the insurance that I had apply to the new phone, or would I have to get new insurance or would i have to go uninsured? I have a non-smartphone and i would be getting another non-smart phone. Please let me know!

You had a phone. You had insurance. Your phone broke, so you purchase a phone from a third party instead of going through the insurance. Why did you have insurance, then?
If you would have gone through your insurance to get your replacement phone, the insurance most likely would have transferred to the new phone.
Since you did not, it will not. The carrier will not insure something that does not come from Verizon or the insurance carrier itself.
You may be able to get insurance through your homeowners policy, but I am not really sure if that is worth it.
The best insurance I have always use was to be careful with the phone, and to keep my old phones laying around in case I need to reactivate them on my line. I have never had to do so and the insurance premiums I have saved would get me a couple of full retail phones as replacements.

What happens exactly when you buy a phone from a third party?

My contract is going to end this month and I have a $50 gift card to Best buy. I already posted up a question but for this post I want to know exactly what will I get and what will I won't get.
I'm hoping to buy a Droid Incredible or a Droid X2 or a Droid 3. (Have any reviews about one, two, or all of them? if you can please type them up... I already read reviews from the webpage and on google but you know more reviews are better)
So first of all, I want to get the Droids from Bestbuy... I want to. Not I have to. Otherwise, I can get a phone in a nearby Verizon store. (And I know that sometimes third party stores are bad and this one person said she got hers from walmart. But a lot of technology from walmart is bad. Finally, I've been asking specific questions about updating but since none of them apply to me, I want to know what I am eligible for.
For a brief description: I had an LG EnV 3 but I lost that one and instead of buying a new phone, I just traded my mom's old phone (which was broken so she got a new, same type phone that she graciously gave me). And according to the employee there, when I traded phones, I was still eligible in upgrading to a new phone... Anyway, my mom's actual phone (not the one that I have) is the first line on the family plan. I will ugprade my phone when my two year contract expires.

This is the Limitation of setting up free goods

Hello Gurus,
In case of automatic po creation from third party order we have attach purchase organization and vendor to sales organization. This restrict only one vendor against sales organization.
Is any BADI available which we can use which to change vedor dynamically ?

Dear Vasant,
For automatic PO at the time of GR following are the prerequisites:
1) In Customizing
a) Auto PO generation must be activated in Mov. Type 101 & 161
b) the plant for which GR is entered must be assigned to standard Pur. Org.
c) Default Document type for PO must be specified in GR ( MB 01)
2) Application - Front end side
a) material must be valuated material
b) Purchasing Info record must exist for vendor , material & standard Pur Org.
c) Conditions in Info Records must be valid.
d) Applicable for stock items & not consumable items
e) you cannot enter any movement in GR block stock
f) Material Master & vendor master records must.
If you ensure all above settings then it is possible to have auto PO during GR.

Stock is increased and FI entry is posted in statistical GR for third party

I was trying to activate the functionalty for statistical GR in third party but STUCK due to following issues. For enabling this functionaltity I have checked "Goods Reciept" and "GR Non-Valuated" check in "Delivery tab" of PO.
1. After creating Statistical GR through MIGO (101), stock has been posted in plant. I was expecting no movement in Stock .
2. I was hoping there should not be in FI posting but FI entry is posted through statistical GR .
We are using third party process from many years but without statistical GR. Requirement from client is to post statistical GR without FI entry and no stock should be updated. Please advise if anyone has idea on this.
FYI--We have item category TAS and schedule line category CS in customisation. Also advise if above two settings in PO are enought to turn ON the statistical GR functionality.

As advised , pleae find enclosed screens for OMS2, PO and FI entry. FI entry might be wrong as while posting MIGO ..I was getting error "WE etnry is missing in table YFTFI_SUBST236 and I maintained some dummy GL accounts.
