Third Party reporting-referrer address

Hi,
We are running redundant CSS's in one armed mode, and we use the group command. We have one group of servers that has content from third parties (search Engines). Since putting the group command on (to correct one issue) the source address is now being changed by the CSS (which is correct) however when the link on the internal web servers is clicked the third party gets the report and the referrer address shows up as the VIP not the Internet user.
Is there anyway to get this original source address back or into the packet(s) that hits the web server soas to send to the third party?
Thanks in advance

no - there is no way if you use the group.
That's the problem with one-armed design.
We try a smuch as we can to recommend not to use one-armed design unless there is really no other way to do so.
In your case, you can get rid of the group command if you make sure the CSS sees the server response.
This can be done if the CSS is the default gateway of the server or if there is a device doing policy routing to redirect the response to the CSS.
Regards,
Gilles.

    Hi Venkat
        to my knowledge Third party report is nothing but the report generated by using Third party reporting tool other than delivered by SAP.  This is said becos we are doing reporting on SAP data using non-sap reporting tool.

  • Third party reporting tools

    I am trying to use a third party reporting tools.
    I have found one I like from Inetsoft.
    The problem I am having is running the sample code they provide. I keep getting the error of method not found in my package.class file. They have provide sample.java files, I am not sure how to get jdev to see the method.
    here is the .java code:
    package smart_package;
    import inetsoft.sree.*;
    import inetsoft.report.*;
    public class SimpleReplet extends BasicReplet
    public ReportSheet createReport(RepletRequest req) {
    StyleSheet report = new StyleSheet();
    report.addText("This is a very simple Replet!");
    return report;
    here is the event code:
    <event name="print_report" >
    <method class="smart_package.SimpleReplet" method="createReport"/>
    </event>
    my question is why do I get this error:
    Warning(43,73): report.uix: Parsing error, line 43, column 73: Could not find method createReport in smart_package.SimpleReplet
    also if anyone has a suggest on a third party reporting tool let me know.
    thanks

    I think that I figured out my own problem. my problem was method not found in class.
    here is the solution:
    I need a method with a EventResult to start the process. and then that method would call the third party method.
    package smart_package;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import inetsoft.report.*;
    import inetsoft.report.io.*;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.BajaContext;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.Page;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.event.EventResult;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.event.PageEvent;
    public class PrintReport
    public PrintReport()
    // HERE IS THE KEY!!!
    public static EventResult StartPrint(BajaContext context,
    Page page,
    PageEvent event)
    createReport();
    return null;
    public static void createReport()
    try
    StyleSheet report = new StyleSheet();
    report.addText("This is a simple report");
    PreviewView previewer = Previewer.createPreviewer();
    previewer.print(report);
    previewer.pack();
    previewer.setVisible(true);
    previewer.setExitOnClose(true);
    catch(Exception ignore) {}
    my event on the uix page:
    <event name="print_report" >
    <ctrl:method class="smart_package.PrintReport" method="StartPrint" />
    </event>

  • Accessing SAP BW from a Third party reporting Tool.

    Hi,
    We are trying to acess SAP BW using a third party tool for reporting purpose.
    We need a url to access SAP BW (something like http://host:13080/sap/bw/xml/soap/xmla
    SAP BW should have fully functional Web services interface (XMLA Standard  protocols)).
    Presently our SAP BW has only ABAP Stack installed and no Java Stack.
    To get a URL as mentioned above do we need a Java Stack to be installed?
    I am not a SAP developer and hence need a confirmation on the above question.
    Some documentation associated would also be usefull.
    Thanks and regards

    Thanks for the response
    May be you are telling abt SAP GUI
    the url for it is like
    http://<fully_qualified_hostname>:<http_port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!
    But I need to use that URL to connect to SAP BW which needs some XMLA protocol.
    Any suggestions on same..
    Thanks and regards

  • Third Party Reporting Software

             Can anyone give me a line on thrid party reporting software that dips into the CUCM and has the ability to create custom reports and then send them via email, FTP, text, etc.  Need something that can be scheduled and automated as well.  The CUCM is very limited.  Don't want to do a bunch of sql stuff either.  Need something that a simple administrator(s) can operate from a gui.

    Hi John,
    Sorry for the delay...I'm not on the support forum on a regular basis.  This maybe an answer to your request - it's web-based, you can customize your reports with the data fields you want, schedule delivery of the report via email or FTP.  Here are some screenshots:
    It's called Variphy Insight.  You can find them online via Google, and ask for a free trial. Mention you found them via the Cisco Support Forum and they'll extend the 15-day trial license to a 90 day trial.

  • Third party reporting tools that can be used with WLI 8.1

    All:
    I am working on Weblogic Integration 8.1. I am wondering are there any ready tools that can be used with WebLogic Integration process related tables to get different types of reports out of it.
    Can somebody point me to these tools??
    TIA,

    Are you using ADE to read bought books, library books, or only free books?
    If only free books, I suggest you install the superior free Calibre instead (http://calibre-ebook.com/)
    For bought or library books you do need to install ADE on the new machine.
    You will also need to register it with your Adobe ID; the same one you used on the last machine.
    If you can't remember that ID or the password, ask, and we may be able to help.
    I will give instructions for the latest version of ADE (2.0.1), even though I am afraid it has more problems than the old one it is more 'standard'.
    Goto http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/digital-editions/download.html
    Click on the 'Download Digital Edition 2.0.1 Windows (5.6 MB)'  (you can go direct to http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/digitaleditions/ADE_2.0_Installer.exe if you prefer)
    When it has downloaded you must open/run it.  If you are using Internet Explorer, choose the Run option when you start the download.
    It should now go through a fairly standard install procedure, asking if it is ok to run the program, etc etc
    Take the easy 'yes' or equivalent option at each step.
    When it is safely installed, run it.  It should have put an icon on the desktop.
    You now need to authorize ADE.
    Use ctrl-shift-U which will open up a dialog asking for your Adobe ID and password.
    You should now be able to use it pretty much as you used ADE on your old machine.
    Good luck.  Unfortunately not a very easy process even when all works well, and there are several things that can go wrong.
    Don't hesitate to ask again if you need help.

  • Delivery address change in third party PO

    Hi all,
    There is a requirement that the user should be able to change the delivery address in a third party PO. The process is like SO is created with TAS item category which will create a PR with "S" item category and subsequently the PO with respect to PR. Now for reasons the customer may ask to change the delivery address given at the time of order. Now in standard SAP, a third party PO delivery address cannot be changed in PO (as the field would be disabled) rather in SO. But the user wants to change in PO itself and not in Sales order. One possibility for this is that the delivery address need not be a ship-to-party address rather could be a one time address without any masters. So the user need to manually type in the address.
    Could anyone suggest a way by which the user is allowed to key in the address manually in such PO.
    thanks & regards
    asbin.

    Hi Rajesh
    thanks for ur response. But when a PO is generated from a PR which is automatically created when a third party SO(TAS item category) is created, it will not allow to change the delivery address in PO. Even in change mode the delivery address fields remain gray. I know this is against standard SAP ,but would like to know whether there is any workarounds to change the delivery address in PO itself.
    thanks
    Binesh.

  • Getting BW and third party data source into SAP Cloud for customer

    Hi Experts.
    I have an architecture question and would like to know any guidance or pointers to help. We have a requirement to integrate 3rd party data sources to be brought into SAP cloud for sales so that reporting can be driven out of SAP cloud for sales. What is the best approach to do it.
    Client doesn't want users to go to another site to look for reporting data.
    Worst case scenario, is there a way to show BW or Third party reports in a separate tab where we can fetch the report data for user or may be a redirect link displays home page of reports under new tab without user leaving the cloud for sales application.
    Thanks
    Apoorva

    Hi Vivek/Mithun,
    I have brought in data from BW system to C4C using Webservice and stored it in C4C backend.
    I am building a custom datasource from these variables, but I want to restrict access of this data based on user roles.
    However, while creating the datasource "Enable Access Control" checkbox is  not enabled. The help text says "To enable access control your BO must contain an association marked as relevant for access control".
    Could you help me in understanding how can we enable this feature for our custom datasource?
    I have also raised a separate thread also for this query Require more details on "Enable Access Control" feature of Data source
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Bex integration third party tools

    Hi gurus,
    i have few doubts on BEx and BW
    1. How a third party reporting tool is accessing the BW data and also adhering the Reporting authorizations. what is the technology behind it.
    2. How Bex (excel) gets the data from BW what is the mechanism its using.
    3. If we have some custom reporting tool how to integrate it with BW so as to do or view reports in our Z reporting tool.

  • Third party sales order report

    Hi
    I got to prepare a report and the description is as follows:
    "Report for discount pricing conditions manually entered in third party sales orders."
    "Discount price reporting for manual pricing conditions in sales order processing (not in billing)"
    "The report should reflect manual pricing discounts captured in the third party sales order.The relevant (third party) document types will be confirmed.Currently we have the following pricing condition type used for manual discount: YRD2- Manual Distr. Discount % YRD3- Manual Distr. Discount fixedThis report will facilitate the monitoring on the discounts given to the distributors.We still need to confirm the complete list of discount pricing conditions for the report.The report should extract the manual discount information based on the following criteria:Sales organization, period, sales order, customer (wholesaler and/or third party) and pricing condition type.Summing per sales order, customer, period should be enabled.The discounts should be displayed in document (sales order) currency. "
    I didnt understand the following to get the purpose of this report:
    1. what is this third party sales order ?
    2. What is manual pricing condition?
    3. what is manual pricing condition? how many types of conditions are there like this?
    4. What is the actual analysis that can be made from the output of this report?
    Please explain them in detail. Thank you.

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
    In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
    The processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally, can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
    Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing
    If a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
    In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
    If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
    If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
    You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
    When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
    Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
    All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
    You process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
    If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
    In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
    If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
    You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
    FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
    Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
    During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
    Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
    We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
    Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
    It can be done using MIRO.
    THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.
    Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
    Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
    assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
    should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.
    10. Billing *--
    Regards.

    Hi,
    In standrad application it is not possible. however, there is a user exit here, EXIT_SAPLMMDA_001, in which you can implement your own logic to select the address.
