Using XCode 2.4 I have the following code:
int i;
for(i = 0; i < SOMETHING; i++)
That compiles just fine. I then shorten this to the more common:
for(int i = 0; i < SOMETHING; i++)
I get an error on that first line - something about C99. I went and checked the C99 spec and I should be able to declare my int inline of the "for" loop. Why does XCode throw an error here? This is perfectly valid C99.

Make sure you're compiling to the C99 dialect. I
don't know about Xcode 2.4, but I know 2.3 uses GNU89
as the compiler default. The C Dialect build setting
is part of the Language collection.
Yes, this was the problem. The compiler is set to "default", however if I set it to "C99" this now works fine.

Anyone else have the issue where, after the 8,3 upgrade, you cannot access more than 1 exchange account on your iPhone? This is annoying to me as I need to access 4 daily and cannot due to this error.
The first one, my private home email, works fine. With the other 3, I get the message "Cannot get mail: The connection to the server failed"
All were working fine before the 8.3 upgrade. I did try the old trick of making one minor change on the account and resaving, but that did not change anything. I even deleted my work account and re-entered it from scratch, but again, sadly, no luck. For the time being, I am successfully getting the email via IMAP, but this ***** compared to exchange. Anyone have any idea what is happening or if a fix is in the works?Well, the one set up on exchange 2k3 is now working fine, although no changes were made on either the iPhone or the exchange side, so that's fun, but it still is throwing errors when connecting to the other 2 exchange accounts. The common elements are that both non-functioning exchange accounts are google apps for business accounts. So is one of the ones that's working, by the way. The settings on both accounts are the same as the one that's working, and both worked fine before the 8.3 upgrade. I have no issue accessing both of these accounts on my ipad which is currently on 8.2.x. If it's not the iphone OS at fault, I'm at a loss as to what it could be.

How do I stop this extremely annoying noise?
Whenever I record a movie in imovie with my built-in isight camera and built-in microphone, there is this incredibly annoying background noise - a fast beeping that almost seems to represent the cadence of the frame rate. I thought it was some kind of tool but when I save the event and play it in quicktime on its own, the beeping remains!!! Its killing me. Please help me make it stop.
I apologize if this is a topic that has already been covered, I'm not sure how to find out if it has.Mate, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt that the hum of my computer is the cause of this noise. The volume of the noise is significant enough to be a major issue. It is not a light static or low-level humming. It is fast beep, going off at a rate of about 25 per second. If it were part of an ichat or phone call the average person would not tolerate the sound and think there is an error. Plus, the noise is sharp, clear, rhythmic, and unheard in any other situation but this use of imovie.
Thanks for the input, mate, but the likelihood this explanation is correct is extremely low. Anybody else with an explanation/solution that doesn't involve buying a replacement microphone? -

The latest Mozilla update change the way my computer starts when I click on Mozilla on the desktop. The first think that happens is that a small window appears and tells me it is checking for add-ons compatibility. After what seems like a long period, the screen fills with some sort of Mozilla about Android and Mozilla. I then have to x this to get to my email page. This is annoying. How do I fix this?

I recently upgraded to OS mavericks and really wish I hadnt. Just more problems to fix. Little anoying bugs
Upon sending mail I always get a pop up box saying unable to contact server so I have to click okay.
Often I think an email has gone - only to find it stuck in drafts days later. This is extremely annoying ... mostly I have to wait around and after maybe 5 minutes check my sent box just to be sure it actually went. Even though I heard the whoosh ... doesn't seem to mean it really did go.
Some of my photos in Iphoto just have a big exclamation mark when I try to open them up - any ideas how to fix this one.etresoft a long time contributer to Apple Support Communities wrote a very useful app he called etrecheck which helps in diagnosing many problems caused by third party installs etc.. This happens when I have several tabs. I'll click another tab and a tiled window appears with one window being the page of the tab and the other one the tab beside it. It's become quite annoying.

Wow i need help with my itunes. this is annoying.
i reformatted my comp and and re instralled itunes.
and i plugged in my ipod and it doesnt show any syncing thing at the top, to let me know its putting music onto my ipod. also, 2pac,8ball mjg, 311 and 50 cent, are all on the bottom of my music.....now why the **** is my ipod not showing me its syncing music, and why the **** is 90 percent of my music alphabateized and then a few artists are all over the place? how do i fix this? why the heck is "A dozen furies" in the D section? seriously. this is just stupid+ annoying.Huh. Hi my name is Amit, after upgrading to OS X Maverick I often have problem of my Hot corners stop working after a short period of time. I have to go to mission control and have to reset them for them to start working again. However this is temparory and they stop working again and this is quite annoying. Right after I take a picture using the camera which is made to face you the image is flipped as soon as it saves to my library. Is there a fix for this? Ive read a few other posts saying apple intended for the software to do this but I was wondering if there was an option to turn this feature off.
I actually tried the steps below due to the error -5000 I had encountered during the previous tries updating my IOS to 5.1.1

I personally like to Crop, and then use PNG for my screen-caps. If I need more images, say to show other Palettes, etc., then I do one each for those shots.
We see a lot of full-screen caps posted, where aggressive JPEG is used, and nothing can be read. That is especially true with images, like Adobe Encore's Flow-chart, where there is a lot of text and linking being shown.
Just my personal preferences.

Although I do not have 'switch to new tab immmediately' ticked, when I ask to open in new tab it switches immediately. This is a problem as I open several tabs from my main page and don't want to go to them at once, I'll look at them in order as I need them. Since an update I now have it switching to the opened tab, and I have to keep flicking back to the main tab. It's giving me repetitive strain problems having to keep clicking the mouse more than necessary. It's an option in the settings, I'd like it to rmain that way. I seriously don't want to keep having to go back to my main page every time I want to open a new tab. Could you make it as it was before please, it was super then. Many thanks in advance. :-)

Are you using the correct email address that you told her to FaceTime you at in the settings? In other words, is she using the email address or iPhone number in Settings>FaceTime>You can be reached by FaceTime at on your iPad?

CUIC 10.01 ICM 9.0 We have a reoccurring issue where some scheduled reports fail with this message: "SCHEDULED REPORT EXECUTION FAILED - DATA-PROCESSING-CENTER-ERROR" When I access the report, the filtering criteria is missing. Once I define the cri
