i'm working on simple createAccount page where login, email and other data are written to mySQL db thru dataProvider.
here's the snippet from my code of create button:

Easy for you but hard for me

I am sure this will be a simple issue for you, but I am not an experienced Oracle person. I run SQL reports from an Oracle database every night for work. Now my bosses have put a large LCD monitor on the production floor and want the data from the Oracle DB to be shown on the monitor. They would like it presented in easy to read graphs or something that can be understood by a non technical person. The data must update around every 15 minutes. As I said, I have the SQL scripts already and I am wondering if there is an application I can use to do this sort of thing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Audigy 2 ZS Distortion Issues With Vista - See if this solution works for you guys

First of All Creative - It's sad, really sad that you really haven't supported your customers. As such a big maker of excellent products, I'm disappointed to know that you have barely provided driver support to your customers. I've been buying Creative products since 1997 - Also - I purposely upgraded my sound card on my Hp Media Center to an Audigy 2 ZS. Secondly - I formatted my computer and re-installed Vista. Before that, the sound card i.e. the sound worked fine (after a lot of trial and errors with different drivers, i somehow managed to get it working without Snap, Crackle and Pop Issues. In other words, I experienced distorted playback when I first installed Vista. Now that I re-installed Vista - Everything installed but as usual - only issue: Yup, you guessed it right.
Creative Audigy 2 ZS Infamous Snap Crackle Pop (SCP) I did try k_daniels drivers and even though I applaud for his efforts - unfortunately it didn't work for me but i'm sure they would if you did the following - ) Uninstall all Creative Drivers Using Driver Sweep2) Do not install the driver through Windows Update (did not work for me)3) Install latest drivers from Creative or K_Daniel's Package4) Install Vista Codec Pack5) Install DirectX06) Then do the following: Got this sorted. Hope it works for everyone..found the answer searching Google.
Right click VOLUME icon in taskbar
Click PLAYBACK DEVICES
Right click SPEAKERS
Click PROPERTIESClick ADVANCED Make sure there's no tick marks in any of the options there including ENHANCEMENTS.
This should sort it. [After doing all this, I have no sound issues whatsoever - Crystal Clear Audio Quality but still not better then XP] I am planning to try K_Daniels pack with all the extra applications and I'll post later on in regards to my experience with the pack. Good Luck P.S: Hope this helps somebody because doing all that helped me get back the audio clarity I was looking for without any distortion whatsoever.

Im not using a decoder, only an amplifier alone with two speakers ... My cable is plugged in line out , and then plugged on line in of the amplifier.
The distortion is very audible, in HL 2, Battlefield 2, etc
When got a explosion, a shot from shotgun, missile, the sound comes distorted ...
Any more hints?

UK Delivery - How long was it for you guys?

really didn't know where to put this topic, so sorry if it's in the wrong place.
Basically just curious to know how long delivery normally is, I ordered a quad G5 yesterday or so, order status says it should be shipped by Jan 12th, but while completing the order it said delivery should take 5-7 days, 10 days at most etc.. but i am finding it hard to believe in this day and age and from such a company like Apple that Next Day delivery wasn't an option.
Am i really going to have to wait a week for delivery?? bad enough having to wait a week for the building etc...? what length of time have you guys experienced from shipping to delivery?? i want my G5 now! :o

Just as reference for those awaiting delivery, i'll just run through the various stages i experienced. Ordered 5th January, Powermac G5, Cinema Display and Ipod Nano with other various accessories.
Estimated Shipping Date was 12th Jan.
Actual Shipping Date was 9th Jan.
The G5 was shipped via Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r., the package was picked up from Cork, Ireland at 18:15. The remaining items were picked up by Flextronics c/o Express Cargo , i am unsure where it came from originally, but i assume it was these items that caused the slight delay. As all items need to accumulate in one place before being handed over to UPS or TNT.
I called Apple yesterday (12th Jan) they had no extra information than that on the Tracking page, and said delivery was estimated for 17th Jan, but he said could come sooner, which it did, it arrived today (13th Jan).
Early this morning, the Tracking page changed. All the items, except the PC, were under the Carrier name of FLEX POST & HUB UK.. this changed to APPLE EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA, and new tracking numbers had been applied to ALL the items. After some googling i discovered the new numbers belonged to UPS.. a quick visit to their website turned up some results. They had revieved the packages yesterday, and had been sent out for delivery this morning...
Packages recieved at 12:05 13th January. So for me build time was 3-4 days, and shipping was 3-4 days. All under the estimates. I think the ipod and the extras that resulted in the 1-2 delay, from what i've read apart from John Keith's experience, is that shipping usually takes no more than 3days after you get the shipping confirmation.
All in all very happy, Apple's tracking page should display more and update more, a fair majority of the info i recieved was due to a lot of googling and trial and error. I've yet to open the pc and monitor so can't comment on the state, read some horror stories so am waiting with trepidation mixed with huge excitement!!!

Bootcamp Woes...Should be easy for you pros

Alright I'm gonna break this down as simple as possible
1) I had two partitions one large mac partition and one 80GB windows 7 partition. I tried to shrink my mac side and it created and empty space pushing the windows partition from number 4 partition to number 5.
2) I found a discussion on here using gdisc and I guess it moved 5 to 1 or made it look that way and did something to the MBR. I followed someones example. This brought my windows partition back but made my mac side disappear...and I know its still in there lurking.
3) Ive tried several utilities and tools. Some found the files but I need to actually boot the mac side to make a recovery ( I want my applications and everything) If I could just boot it one more time to make a recovery image then I could wipe my whole computer and start over.
4) The closest I got to finding the best information but I still didnt want to fix it was disk-boot-repair by sourceforge. Keep in mind that I can ONLY access windows at the moment. So don't even mention a mac side related solution....believe me I wish it was this simple.
Below are the images (excuse my crappy pictures) from the disk-boot-repair you can see that it sees the mac osx and something just isnt lined up right. The disk-boot-repair won't fix it because it found an EMI. Which I think is a good thing because I need that right?
Forgive me for sounding like a newb through all this but I got myself into this mess and I plan on fixing it and I'm learning along the way. Any help and I would be forever grateful.

I appreciate your effort but I'm not even sure you read my post. I know now thats what I should have done and I messed up.
Now I'm trying to fix it. My mac files still exist somewhere on my hard drive. I just cant get it to boot because when I used gdisk it changed my partition numbers, MBR, etc.
I just need my mac to boot one more time to make a backup or figure out how to access the files enough to make a backup that I can restore. Then I will wipe hard drive, re-install. Use bootcamp assit. Restore windows and restore mac files.
I have too many important files to let this slide. This is why I'm going to all this effort. Using all these tools to try and get it to boot one more time. Should I have made a backup when I could still get the mac side to boot yes. But I know its all still there somewhere just not pointed in the right place when I try to boot.

I'm losing my temper trying to achieve what I suspect is a trivial scripting task. In any case perhaps one of you will help me:
I want to select a range of .jpg files that have been captured into a folder and drag them over an automator app/folder --
1. A new folder is created and I'm able to name it
2. This folder becomes a placed inside another pre-determined folder.
3. The jpegs dragged over the app are moved into this new folder and are no longer in the original 'capture' folder

I'm not sure I understand the problem, though - the script I gave should do that (your assistant will create and name the folder in the correct place with the 'choose folder' dialog). I mean, of course, we could write a script that would create the folder first and then ask your assistance for a new name, but I don't see what difference that makes to the process. see what I mean?
the 'move' command should actually move (not copy) the files, except if you're copying from or to an external disk or card. then it will copy. if that's the case, make this change:
to doit(theFiles)
set theFolder to choose folder with prompt "Please choose or create a folder"
tell application "Finder"
move theFiles to theFolder
delete theFiles
end tell
end doit
the delete command will move the originals to the trash. you can also add the line 'empty trash' to automatically empty the trash after the move, but it's probably better to let them sit in the trash until you're sure it's safe to delete them.

got my dual LED and mac pro setup a few days ago and have been doing a lot of work in photoshop and a little in final cut and colour.
For me personally, the gloss is not an issue and I don't understand why some 'professionals' claim they cannot use glossy screens, just light your room properly and its no problem at all. As far as colour reproduction goes, the screens seem amazing to me. I am not a 'true' professional- ie have not worked with correctly color calibrated screens for 25+ years etc as some people bashing these displays seemingly have, but for graphic and web design the display is perfect for me. What I think a lot of people forget when they argue about how important it is for a screen to be colour accurate for design work is that every single screen is different, some completely different to others - so although it is important to be able to view 'true' colours, on the majority of users screens the graphics won't be reproduced how they looked on the designers screen. Thats my experience with web design at least.. Hope this was of some help.

Yes i did remover the sim and put it back in. shut down, removed sim re booted up did a network reset and installed the sim.

Potentially a band aid to merely save face. Hopefully proper RF tuning to account for the attenuation present when the hand is near that corner of the phone will be implemented.

Wireless network (and a shell script for you guys, also)

I don't know the right way to bring up my wireless iface at bootup, so I wrote a small shell script to do it for me.
Feel free to use it if you find it useful..
I'd also appreciate someone telling me what *IS* the arch way of doing what my shell script's doing

If you're looking for complaints, try asking, "What will not work for me in After Effects?" But that will depend on your hardware and your ability to learn this unbelievably deep and complex application.

I just got a AMD 6400+ for my DKA790GX Platinum and my question is this...
In EVEREST under CPU Type its calling it "dual core AMD athlon 64 X2 black edition". From what I understand the black edition is a special edition processor
that comes in a all black box. the box is saying its a ADX6400CZBOX.
why is EVEREST calling it a black edition??

1) Go to file, select new playlist. Creat the playlaist.
2) Download your music into iTunes.
NOTE: CHECK 'Recently Added' before you download your music.
If the select boxes has a check in them, turn it off by

It would be better to clear 'Resently Add' of all
previous downloads, but I don't know how to do that

I lost my iPod and I've been using the app find my iPhone. But when I would use it it would tell me, my iPod has been offline like (no wifi). Is there a way for you guys to turn it online?

I lost my iPod it's almost been a week now , but I've been using find my iPhone to track it. Recently it showed that my IPod has been offline (wifi) now so I've been wondering if there's a way for Apple to turn it back online (wifi)

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.

So? It's saying you didn't implement mouseDragged, which you agreed to do when you said it implements MouseMotionListener. So implement it.
Rather than making your applet implement the mouse interfaces, you could create inner classes that do, and then make those inner classes subclass MouseAdapter and MouseMotionAdapter.
You'd end up with smaller, tighter code.
