at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:179)Hi. This indicates a problem between the oracle driver version and the DBMS
version. The first thing to do is to go to oracle's download site and get
their latest version of the thin driver that is appropriate for your DBMS
and JVM, and then edit your startWeblogic script so the new driver is ahead
of the weblogic.jar in the -classpath argument for the commandline that
starts the server.

  • How to get error's field name when execute sql error

    I want to get the error's field name when execute sql error,but SQLException is not provide corresponding function to get it.
    How can I do for it?

    user523110,
    I believe the "unique constraint" error message displays the name of the constraint, not the column name, as you have posted.
    As far as I know, the only way to extract the column(s) would be to query the data dictionary using the constraint name provided in the error message.
    Also, as far as I know, there is nothing in the JDBC API that can return the names of the columns associated with a given unique constraint.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • SQL2005 cluster error MDB-05053  Errors when executing sql command: p nr="

    Hi all,
    We are migrating from 32 bit to x64 bit machines. SQL 2005 database on windows 2003.
    I am trying to install E 4.7-200 SR1 on the clustered nodes. The installation manuals for 4.7 are very old and there is nothing for SQL2005 installation.
    Now that some how we were able to have SQL up and running in clustered environment (It only took 10 days), After installing CI, I am not able to deploy the database and database creation phase is failing with the following error:
    MDB-05053  Errors when executing sql command: <p nr="0"/>.
    I am heavily relying on our server managment team on clustering and hoping they have done a good job, However I need some guidelines which can help me in verifying what they have done is correct and meets SAP and SQL requirments and issues we are facing is actually install problems not cluster.
    SAP install manuals are not detailed in this regards. Also manuals are out dataed and they only show the sql 2000 clustering pre-requisit for 4.7 installls.
    Can any one with clustering experience please help.
    Calling out NPC, As his sql installation and upgrade manual has helped me with stand alone installs, Hoping he has some thing for clustering as well.

    Hi,
    What installation CD/DVD are you using?
    Try look at SAP note [924288|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/924288],

    In special the last note say at the end:
    "3. You must use the 51031444 CD to install Enterprise 4.7 on an x64 platform with SQL Server 2005. This CD installs the central instances and database instances. To convert the A and B nodes in MSCS, use the SAP NetWeaver 04 SR1 installation master CD or DVD."

  • ORA-27369 Exit-Code: 255 when executing sql script as job

    Dear all
    I'd like to find and compile all invalid objects in an instance. This should be done every day as a scheduled job with the use of DBMS_SCHEDULER.
    For this, I set up the following sql-script:
    ---------start script--------------
    set heading off;
    set feedback off;
    set echo off;
    Set lines 999;
    Spool /tmp/run_invalid.sql
    select
    'ALTER ' || OBJECT_TYPE || ' ' ||
    OWNER || '.' || OBJECT_NAME || ' COMPILE;'
    from
    dba_objects
    where
    status = 'INVALID'
    spool off;
    set heading on;
    set feedback on;
    set echo on;
    @/tmp/run_invalid.sql
    exit
    ------ end script ----
    The script ist working well when executed manualy via sqlplus. As you can see, it spools the commands to a second file (run_invalid.sql) which is the beeing executed to compile the invalid objects found.
    I now want to schedule this script via DBMS_SCHEDULER (running the job every day at 7AM). Creation of the job:
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
    job_name => 'compile_invalid_objects',
    job_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
    job_action => '/home/oracle/scripts/sql/compile_invalid_objects.sql',
    start_date => trunc(sysdate)+1+7/24,
    repeat_interval => 'trunc(sysdate)+1+7/24',
    enabled => TRUE,
    comments => 'SQL-Script, und invalid objects zu finden und zu kompilieren'
    END;
    Manualy execute and error message:
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.RUN_JOB (job_name => 'compile_invalid_objects',
    use_current_session => true);
    END;
    FEHLER in Zeile 1:
    ORA-27369: Job vom Typ EXECUTABLE nicht erfolgreich mit Exit-Code: 255
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_ISCHED", Zeile 150
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_SCHEDULER", Zeile 441
    ORA-06512: in Zeile 2
    --> Sorry for this, I'm using german localized oracle.
    Unfortunately, it seems that only Shell-Scripts can be scheduled when using job_type='EXECUTABLE'. Can you confirm this?
    BTW: The script is chmoded to 777, therefore it can't be a permission problem.
    Is there maybe another solution with one single script using dbms_output functionality and run the script in a loop?
    To complete my post, here are the commands used to create and test the job:
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
    job_name => 'compile_invalid_objects',
    job_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
    job_action => '/tmp/compile_invalid_objects.sql',
    start_date => trunc(sysdate)+1+7/24,
    repeat_interval => 'trunc(sysdate)+1+7/24',
    enabled => TRUE,
    comments => 'SQL-Script, und invalid objects zu finden und kompilieren'
    END;
    Thanks for your help
    Casi

    You could more simply use $ORACLE_HOME/dbms/admin/utlrp.sql

  • Nothing returned when executing SQL

    I don't get the expected results when I run embedded parameterized SQL in c# if my where clause uses the primary key as a parameter. It does work if I use a date range or anything else. When I debug this and grab the SQL string and execute it in Toad it works fine. Any ideas why this won't work when I use the primary key as the parameter? I am using VS2008 and the latest version of the ODP.
    The first code block works the second does not. The CLM_ID is of type number(20) in the db, but it has integers so I convert the number in the code to OracleDbType.Int16.
    Any ideas.
    This Works
    /* Build the query */
    string sql = "SELECT * FROM (SELECT C.CLM_ID " +
    " FROM CLAIM.CLM C " +
    " JOIN CLAIM.CUST CUST ON CUST.CUST_ID = C.CUST_ID " +
    " where C.UTC_CREATED_ON >= to_date(:pStartDate)" +
    " and C.UTC_CREATED_ON < to_date(:pEndDate) )" +
    " WHERE ROWNUM < 200 ";
    /* Add parameters. */
    OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand(sql, objConn);
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter(":pStartDate", OracleDbType.Date));
    cmd.Parameters[":pStartDate"].Value = startDate;
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter(":pEndDate", OracleDbType.Date));
    cmd.Parameters[":pEndDate"].Value = endDate;
    cmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
    objConn.Open();
    OracleDataReader dr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); // C#
    dr.Read();
    //if there are results put it in a data table.
    DataTable dt = new DataTable();
    dt.Load(dr, LoadOption.OverwriteChanges);
    return dt;
    This does not.
    string sql = "SELECT * FROM (SELECT C.CLM_ID " +
    " FROM CLAIM.CLM C " +
    " JOIN CLAIM.CUST CUST ON CUST.CUST_ID = C.CUST_ID " +
    " where to_number(C.CLM_ID) = :pClaimId )" +
    " WHERE ROWNUM < 200 ";
    OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand(sql, objConn);
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter(":pClaimId",OracleDbType.Int16));
    cmd.Parameters[":pClaimId"].Value = int.Parse(claimId);
    cmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
    objConn.Open();
    OracleDataReader dr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); // C#
    dr.Read();
    //if there are results put it in a data table.
    DataTable dt = new DataTable();
    dt.Load(dr, LoadOption.OverwriteChanges);
    return dt;

    I agree with the previous poster, do not cast your variables unless you must. but I disagree with dropping parameterized queries, you should use them or you will open yourself up to attack and inefficiencies in your code (period). while you may drop paramterized queries for testing, never go to production without using them.
    /** first query -- use between! */
    string sql = "SELECT * FROM (SELECT C.CLM_ID " +
    " FROM CLAIM.CLM C " +
    " JOIN CLAIM.CUST CUST ON CUST.CUST_ID = C.CUST_ID " +
    " where C.UTC_CREATED_ON BETWEEN :pStartDate AND :pEndDate" +
    " WHERE ROWNUM < 200 "; /* use between here */
    /* Add parameters. */
    OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand(sql, objConn);
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter(":pStartDate", OracleDbType.Date));
    cmd.Parameters[":pStartDate"].Value = startDate;
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter(":pEndDate", OracleDbType.Date));
    cmd.Parameters[":pEndDate"].Value = endDate;
    string sql = "SELECT * FROM (SELECT C.CLM_ID " +
    " FROM CLAIM.CLM C " +
    " JOIN CLAIM.CUST CUST ON CUST.CUST_ID = C.CUST_ID " +
    " where C.CLM_ID = :pClaimId )" +
    " WHERE ROWNUM < 200 ";
        /* drop the to_number */
    OracleCommand cmd = new OracleCommand(sql, objConn);
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter(":pClaimId",OracleDbType.Int16));
    cmd.Parameters[":pClaimId"].Value = int.Parse(claimId);drop the to_number, the claimId is already inputted as Int16, there is no reason to re-cast it.

    Hi,
    My jsf web application using tomcat is experiencing a sql exception "java.sql.SQLException: System or internal error java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe" when it tries to connect to database.

    The following is the scenario where the broken pipe exception occurs to me:
    - webapp on a Linux server with Apache + Tomcat.
    - database (SQL Server) on another computer.
    - the webapp creates one db connection at startup, stores it in the ServletContext and always uses that connection for any db access.
    - If the db server is restarted, or just the SQL Server service is restarted, the connection that was in the ServletContext becomes invalid, and any attempt to access the db through it throws the broken pipe exception.
    At this point the webapp has to recreate the connection and re-store it in the ServletContext in order to gain access to the db again.

    kkSocket.setTcpNoDelay(true);
    before connecting to the server, not after the initial message was sent.

  • ORA-20000 error when executing background jobs in BI System

    Hello Experts,
    We newly installed NW2004s System. Few BI related background jobs are showing Error no: 4 or Error no: 3 in SM50. Also few BI related background jobs are giving error "ORA-20000 occurred when executing SQL statement (parse error offset=0)". Please let me know what does Error 4 or 3 mean in SM50 and how to resolve Ora-20000 error?
    Thanks

    This may be to do with insufficient authorization for the user (for creating statistics for example). Check OSS note 963760.

  • Performance Analyzer crashes with "java.io.IOException: Broken pipe"

    Hi,
    I profile a distributed application using collect and Performance Analyzer. Till now, the Performance Analyzer really worked out nicely (thanks for that tool).
    However, since a couple of days, I work on a modified sideline of the code which crashes Performance Analyzer reliably when selecting a specific function in the "Function" tab.
    Has anyone of you experienced a similar problem or can give advice on how to work around this problem?
    (BTW: There is a bug report on broken pipes when multiple writers access a pipe - http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4028322 - but I'm not sure if this is the case here)
    I get the following error message:

    Thanks for your ideas, Manfred

    Which version of the Analyzer are you using? What OS, and
    what compiler did you use? Which version of Java are you using?
    (I doubt that the problem is related to the bug you cited; only
    one thread reads the pipe, and the bug concerns thread-safety
    reading from a pipe.)
    The most likely explanation is that er_print, the backend
    server that does the work for the GUI crashed. Is there a core
    dump from er_print in the directory?
    I'd suggest that if you're not using Sun Studio 12, patch_01,
    you upgrade to that and see if it still reproduces the problem.
    If it still crashes, we'll need more information to pursue it.
    You can send me email at marty dot itzkowitz at sun dot com
    We will need the experiment, and the a.out and .o containing the
    problematic function, and, of course, specific instructions for
    how to reproduce the problem.
    Marty Itzkowitz, project lead, Analyzer
