Throwing a pop up after a selection in F4 search help

Hi,
I have attached a search help to a parameter in selection screen. I am getting the values in F4 help properly.
I want to throw a pop-up, after the user selects any value in the search help. asking the user to enter some input.
If the user clicks 'OK' or 'Cancel', it has to go back to the original screen.
Please help me.... very urgent...

Hi,
I dont know whether is there any FM r not....
But,
If u can creat a screen in module pool with the respective fields to accept....
U can call that screen in ur selection-screen on value-request for <f1>.
I think this serves ur purpose..

You could resolve your issue by changing the value of the "ls_map-context_attr" to the attribute value seen on the F2 help on WebUI screen.
If you change the value   ls_map-context_attr to   'ZZBUT000000102' , then F4 help would work properly.
Hence the correct code would be:

Skip standard select method in search help exit

Hi experts,
how to skip standard select method in search help exit? Currently I'm selecting my custom data with select statement in 'DISP' section, but still text: 'more than 500 results were found' is shown. I just want to skip/disable standard selection. Thank you.

Hi,
1)Double click on the dataelement of your field on which you want f4 help then in the first tab itself you will find two option one for attaching the search help you have created(Elementry/ Collective) and second option is the parameter ID.
You have to look for the first option to attach the search help.
2) You can create f4 help for your Parameter or Selection screen by using the event.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST for PARA/Selection screen.
Further you can use the FM mentioned above F4_INT.....

Difference between 'Selections from' and 'Search helps' in some HR program

Hi,
I notice at the top portions of some programs like Payroll Driver and pre-DME program there's two separate pushbuttons, 'Selections from' and 'Search helps'. What's the diff between the two?
Because to me, both seem to have same functionality, i.e. to further filter the records.
When I create customized programs, usually I use logical database pnp, and by that, we are adding 'Selections from' at the selection screen to help further select.
So my questions:
1. Why is there another button to help filter? Since both have same functionality to filter.
2. What's the diff between the 2?
3. Can somebody confirm the 'Search helps' is really for filtering?

How can I to obtain the value selected in a search help?

Hi Gurus,
I have a search help and it has a "search help exit" (a FM).
At FM search help exit I am calling the standard FM RHF4_RFC_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST to another system ( assigning the corresponding "destination" ).
The FM RHF4_RFC_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST display a screen where the search is done. When a field is selected returns the values in the internal table RETURN_TAB.
At FM search help exit I assign the selected value ( in RETURN_TAB ) to internal table's field RECORD_TAB-STRING.
The search help is assigned to a table field and when I want to obtain a value through search help in SM30 transaction, the screen created by FM RHF4_RFC_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST appears, but when I select a value, this is not "copy" to the table field.
In what am I wrong? What am I omitting?

Probably you are not mapping the right fields from source to destination structures.
plz check RETURN_TAB-STRING(this is an example) assigned to RECORD_TAB-STRING.
put a break point at this line and check.

How to restrict the values for selection in the search help..

hi,
i have a requirement regarding screen programming. i have added a i/o field in a screen and i linked a search help for that field.
i used the standard search help it holds some 15 values for selection...
when i click on the search help i m getting some 15 values for selection. but i dont need all the 15 values. i need only 4 values for selection..can any one help me regarding this...

Export all data of selected line in search help to fields in table control

I've created a search help which will export 4 fields. These 4 fields should be populated to the corresponding fields in TABLE CONTROL. However, in my program, only the first column is populated and the others are blank. How to solve this problem? Do I need to include POV? Thank you.

1. Create a search help with four exporting parameters.
    ( check the you have created properly the sterp step
     procedure in creating the search help).
2. No need to go for POV.
3. After creating the table control assign the fieldnames into
   the control, then click on the fieldname it will show the
   attributes of that field . ther you can find te search help field
   fill that field with your search help name .
4.After assigning the field, check it in executing the report.
      Hope this will work for you, if it is not let me know.

Well, the code you posted won't pass a syntax check. You have an extra form statement, a missing endform statement and an extra endcase statement.
But have you put the assignments to ti_estejec in the INITIALIZATION event??

Annoying baloon pops up after text selection

I often read longer internet text in a way to select/higlight small portions of text (it is much easier for eyes). After updating on firefox 24.2.0, selecting any text makes small baloon pops up on end of selection, and cover some words...
Baloon has 4 search items: duckduck, google, wiki and canyon.
I can not find way to disable this baloon, but it is really annoying for me. Please help me.

NML2NDeviceObserver pop up after trying to install Telecom tstick HELP

Hi. I was using The Vodafone VODEM but decided to change to the Telecom Tstick. I installed it but now get this infuriating pop up that will not go away no matter what! Tried shutting down, searching for files related to it and deleting them, and read the "report" to try hunt down what its problem is but I just cant stop it coming back. Have rung Vodaphone support and they are HOPELESS.
I really hope someone here can help me.

I believe your problem is software related not hardware. Try to do archieve install and install update by downloading 10.4.7 PPC combo from apple site and then do the rest of the update from software update.
I think this problem caused of the bug in the 10.4.7 the first released by apple has problem with software update app (I've seen few of our customer has to do archive install to solve their boot related problem after software update to 10.4.7). Apple already released the update and also they fix the bug so I believe it is already safe to do archive install and update your software to 10.4.7 from software update but just want to be safe do from combo update download.

Select Options and Search Help in ABAP Dynpro

Hi Guys,
I am new to ABAP WD. We are workin on ABAP Stack of the Portal with no DB Tables n data. we have to fetch the data from R/3 and display it on the Dynpro screen.
But here the problem is the Standard Search Help attached to the data elements cannot fetch any data, as by default it searchs the ABAP stack for the data. Is there any work around for the same wherein i can fetch the data from R/3 and display it when user requests for the search help.?

Regarding Search help on selection-screen field

Hi there,
I am working on custom tables.
I have a requirement to maintain search pattern on a selection-screen field.
selection-screen parameter: p_name which is company name filed from Z table.
By giving a string like Holl* and by pressing F4 on the field p_name it has to popup a dialogbox having list of company names starting with Holl.

How to display our own selected data in a search help using a exit

Hello,
I had created a Search Help Exit to restrict the values to be displayed in the search help. This code was written under the event 'DISP' in the exit. But it is not giving the desired result. So I want to replace the RECORD_TAB of the exit with my own selected data. For this I had written code for selection under the event 'SELECT'. But when I try to overwrite RECORD_TAB with this, this create errors.
What should I do to overwrite the values of the RECORD_TAB field with my own values?
