WHat are the Pros and Cons if the Quality notification is keep open for ever but all tasks are complete
Notifcations are Niothing but communications.These are alwaz not intended for complain.they can be informative also.
As you know that Notifications are for analysis.You can certainly keep them open with all tasks close.
You can close any notifcation from T code:QM02 or QM10.
If you do not close the notification the signal lights in QM10 will show red as per priority set by you.
There is no harm keeping notification open.
But there are no repercations even you close it.because any notification you can put in process again.

Close Notification is triggering at the completion of each path

In my company we are using BRF+ flat rule for routing rule in process id: SAP GRAC Access Request. The problem is when each path is completed the end user receives close notification and we want user to receive close notification only at the end of request. For example: request splits into two paths, (1) training verification, (2) 2nd level role approval – when training verification is completed user receives close notification and also he receives after the completion of 2nd level role approval path.

I don't see this template ID GRAC_AR_CLOSE linked to any recipient ID in any stage notification settings and looking at the above text message the person who build this workflow knows that this notification triggers at each path.

TestStand close notification from a DLL

How can I get a close notification from TestStand to my loaded DLL? I would like to have a message/notification from TestStand that it is in progress of shutdown, before it does FreeLibrary() on my DLL. This is to ensure that I always do a clean exit.
Alternatively; can I have TestStand call a function inside my DLL before doing FreeLibrary?

You can use the dll entry point DLL_PROCESS_DETACH in your DLL which is executed each time teststand unloads your DLL. See also http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682583.aspx
In Teststand you can define when your DLL should be unloaded in the Step Properties of your C/C++ Prototype Adapter -> Run Options -> Unload Options. The Dll is also unloaded if Teststand shuts down.
If you use CVI you can insert the code needed with:
Edit->Insert Construct ->DLLMain

For example, I do not want to go to my trackpad and click "Close" on the notification. I simply want to trigger a hotkey or keyboard shortcut that will close the notification as I see it.

Can someone advise on how the First Response Time (Avg) and Ticket Close Time (Avg) are calculated on the Help Desk dashboard? What I am wondering is if a ticket is accepted but no comment entered, is the acceptance considered first response? Also in the Ticket Close time, does it exclude weekends and/or time spent in the "waiting on user" state?

Cannot close notification in workflow-Please help

We had some notifications that got stuck for new hires and we manually processed them through IQS22 but we are not able to close the notification after processing those new hires! Does anyone happen to know any transaction/tables where I could go by notification number and close that notification?

Hi,
We do not have any data in our system for this transaction. I assume it is like IW22.
You should be able to close or complete by clicking on the "Technically Complete" button (if available).
Or use function module: BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CLOSE or ALM_PM_NOTIFICATION_CLOSE to try and close the notification. Check the func.module documentation for help.

When trying to close notification the system provides error message u201CError in EDI Partner or partner profile partner number". The Relevant transaction code is QM02.
EDI relevant partner profiles are maintained in table EDPVW which has entry for as u2018VNu2019 = Vendor. It doesnu2019t have any entry for customer.
When I tried to debug the program the system looks for the entry for LI (under field partner type) for partner function number 51400 in the tables EDP13 & EDPP1. As it is not able to find this entry, it populates above error message. The entry for 51400 has been updated as KU (Customer).
But the same configuration is working fine for other notification number and its getting closed successfully.
Please help me on this.

Maybe only the vendor partner function has been maintained in the notification.Check the difference between this notifcation and other notification.Does they have all partner types assigned to them, are they of same notification type etc.
Currently as idncated by the error message, the profile isnt able to identify the reciver for specific vendor and not customer.Since that config hasnt been maintained, it is resulting in error.

Helpdesk Customization

Ok hoping there is an easy answer for this but looking to expand our helpdesk by department. The goal is to have a portal with a custom department field and when a ticket is created it only notifies people in that department.
If that cannot be done can I have all ticket creation notifications hit one person that have them assign to the group.
The goal is I do not want the entire team to see all tickets only what is assigned to them.

Hi All,
Need some assistance with a Windows 2012 R2 IE version 11 problem. Right now we use Windows 2012 R2 for our Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.6 app servers. We have Windows 7 x64 workstations running citrix receiver accessing citrix apps and VDI. I have a seamless published app that just opens IE and navigates to external and internal websites. Right now when a standard user launches the app via citrix xenapp storefront, it seamlessly logs them into the 2012 app server okay, they see IE pop up on their workstation but it is just a blank white window and then IE closes about 10 seconds later. Any local admins on the app server open IE just fine.
I have adjusted Enhanced Security for IE and turned off for Admins and Users, but that does not have any affect. I have logged into the app server directly, run IE as a local admin just fine,...

Application Error: Adobe Has Encountered a Problem?

I know this thread is a million times posted and one fix for one system doesn't resolve the issue for another system so instead of reinventing the wheel with this error I am reverse engineering the error. I will post what fixes it for my situation in hopes to find a permanent long term solution instead of a simple bandage. I have an internal application that uses a pdf reader to view pdf's and when using Adobe Reader 9.x (multiple versions attempted and all properly uninstalled/reinstalled), a popup is displayed onscreen with the generic Adobe Reader has Encountered a Problem and Needs to Close notification. After reading many posts regarding this error and attempting a multitude of fixes I was able to identify my point of failure. The application calling upon Adobe is launched as a different user then the actual user signed into the OS (application is launched as an administrator account but the user is actually a limited user account) so when Adobe attempts to access user specific files then it fails and inevitably crashes the application. I have added special permissions to every file ProcMon identifies as being touched (Adobe included) but still end up with the same results (all other readers work fine but I prefer Adobe) so the only work around was to imbed a call out into the application code to forever launch Adobe as a set user anytime certain extensions were called upon. Outside the application Adobe works fine and there are zero errors when launching pdf's, internal and external to IE. However, I am now experiencing other issues due to this "arranged marriage" between these two applications (i.e. a third OS user attempts to use this application then it fails, File does not begin with '%PDF-') so if anyone has ever been able to find the root of this error under these circumstances (a solution would be a bonus) then any added assistance in where to go next would be greatly appreciative. Javascript (or some plugin) issues present in Firefox 8 but not Chrome.

Not sure if this is a Javascript issue or what, but here are some of my issues:
* Facebook: cannot close notification tab after I open it.
* Tumblr: cannot expand images in posts on my dashboard; preexisting text in forms (such as the tags form when making a new post) does not go away. This "typeover" error exists on other pages as well.
* Reddit: cannot enter the subreddit in a post; logging in from the main page results in error
This hasn't been a persistent problem; it just started today. I tried reinstalling Firefox and restarting my computer, but the issues are still present.
I don't have any of these problems in Chrome. Is this an issue Javascript and/or other plugins? When I disable Javascript, these problems don't exactly go away - the aforementioned features just don't work.

Inconsistent substitution string expansion in email templates - SCSM 2012 R2

Coming to the conclusion that email templates should not be stored in a custom MP ?
I'm seeing odd begaviour where only some fields are expanded when the email is created. See below example where ID in the subject line has not been expanded but it has been expanded in the body of the email. If I store the custom template in "Service
Manager Incident Management Configuration Library" then it works as expected.
In the following notification, Subject has not been expanded yet when ID is used in a subsequent field in the email body it is expanded (Fault No.)
Also Affected User Firstname has not been expanded.

it should be noted that those substitution strings are contingent on the MP that stores the notification template. for example, 'System!System.Domain.User' is only valid if the
MP Reference "System" points to an MP that contains the element System.WorkItemAffectedUser, and that element is a relationship class definition.
to break it down:

$ starts and ends a variable.
Context is one of the keywords that control the behavior of the variable, but in this case, you can read it as the target of the notification template.
Path[] means we are going down the projections path \

Collable statement and stored procedure problem

I am using a collable statement to execute a stored procedure.
The stored procedure is a bit complex since it uses a function to retrieve sequence nextval (newId),
than insert a row and returns the newId.
Anyway, I checked it with sql plus and it works, but when trying to execute it from my Java code, I get the following error message:

PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol ";" when expecting one of the following:

Bridge limbo email

I have a PB currently bridged to a Torch 9810 and all seems to be working reasonably well. My problems is that from time to time, an email gets placed in limbo between the Torch and the PB. This random limbo email is showing up as a "!" notice and/or a "yellow envelop w/red star" notice in the upper left corner of the PB when Bridge is connected. The limbo message is always one that has been deleted on the Torch but Bridge seems to still know about it. The only way I've ever been able to get rid of these limbo messages is to fully delete the tablet from the Bridge app on the phone and then reconnect via the who QR scanning process, etc.
Does anyone have any idea here? It's not rally a functional problem for me, but these limbo message seem to accumulate over time and I keep having to redo the Bridge connection to get rid of them.
