Flex 3.0 beta TileList problem with effects
I have a problem with deleting item from a Flex 3.0 beta
TileList component. While a delete item effect is playing and I
delete another item (while the first effect is still playing) , I
get an ‘RangeError: Index ‘8′ specified is out of
bounds.’ error. How do you delay processing until the effects
are done? or is there another solution? do I use a callLater()? or
remove the eventListener and wait until the effect finishes?

I think the problem is within the function below in the first line of code:
public function removeField(field:Object):void
                var index:int = selectedFields.getItemIndex(field);
                selectedFields.removeItemAt(index);
What does your function getItemIndex(field) include...I think the problem is in this function since in this function you are trying to getItemIndex based on the field Object...If there is no exact match in the function this function is returning index = -1 so in your removeField() function you are trying to remove the item at index at -1 which in real doesn't exist so it throws the error.
So you first needs to examine the code in getItemIndex() function that it is returning the correctIndex if not then write a check in removeField() function

Try posting the getItemIndex() function...

i want to add records in cloud.bt while adding the records if we enter existing record details and try to save again na it wont allow to that record.
that time the alert box should show this msg "This record is already existing record in cloud database.
ex: one company name called mobile. i am adding a employee name called raja now i save this record,its data saved in     cloud DTO
again try to add same employee name raja under the same compny means it should through error.

Thank you for posting your list of installed Extensions. One of them might be intercepting the menu command. Since you have the Add-on Compatibility Reporter, it's possible that an older add-on that doesn't actually work well with Firefox 5 could be to blame. Could you try disabling the "HP Smart Web Printing" extension and see whether that makes any difference?
Also, you can simulate a print button on a web site by pasting this to the location bar and pressing Enter. You also can save it as a bookmark for easier access (when scripts are saved as bookmarks, we call them bookmarklets). Hopefully you won't need it for long.

Problem with bitmap partitioned index

My order table (3.6 M rows) has got 4 partitions (one per year). I've defined 24 LOCAL BITMAP INDEXES on the data (DSS environment); every index is built on one column.
The cardinality of these columns is quite various (from 10% to 80%) - I know in some case the use of bitmap index is not OK -.
The table is manipulated in this way:
- Nightly it has about 5K new rows inserted.
- All of this rows have update after insertion (only some of this update are referred to indexed column).
- Early in the morning the partition table referred to actual data, is analyzed with COMPUTE STATISTICS option.
- During the day the data are queried thousand times.
The problem is:
1. Before table/index partitioning all the indexes of the table were BITMAP too, and their size were acceptable; these size did not grow up to much during the time. We use to rebuild index once at 2-3 months.
2. After table/index partitioning some of the bitmap indexes related to the partition that contain actual data, get poor in few days. Their size grow up very quickly (about 16mb at day) and they can allocate 100 times more space than before partitioning. So, I must rebuild these indexes / partitions once at 2-3 days. I have checked the distinct values of poor indexes column, and there is not correlation between cardinality and growth (I mean, this problem happens on index with low cardinality as well as high cardinality).
3. I have the same order table in another schema with the same indexes and similar number of rows (1.7 M). Any of these indexes have strange growth. (I.E.: size of index on AGENT column is normally 2Mb; the poor index is about 200Mb after 4 work days).
We work with 8.1.7.2 on Windows 2000.
Does anyone have any idea about my problem?

What happens if you just create two plain bitmap indexes without the join?

Are the column values evenly distributed? If not you might need to go for some column histogram. but I don't have the impression that this is really useful in your case.

Problem with Display,The color of display washed out!!!

i got problem with the screen. the color around corner of display and 6 rounds circle spot in middle of display, it looks like washed out( become white) when i view it on black background it looks more stand out. What can i do now? i only have Iphone 4s on 24/10/11

Array Index out of bounds error when rendering graph

OBIEE 11.1.1.5 running on RHEL version 5.7
I'm encountering a strange problem with graph rendering. I have a graph and a table that are tied to a list of values. The graph renders correctly for many of the values in the list, but for certain values the graph does not render while the table does. What is even more odd is that the graph renders correctly using BI mobile on an iPad for all values in the LOV.
From the Weblogic fusion bipublisher.log, I see this log entry immediately after getting the rendering error:
Message: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 124
The above log entry is followed about a minute later with this:
Message ID: ADF_FACES-60099
Component: AdminServer
Module: oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.renderkit.rich.RegionRenderer
Message: The region component with id: emTemplate:fmwRegion has detected a page fragment with multiple root components. Fragments with more than one root component may not display correctly in a region and may have a negative impact on performance. I cannot find an array. The only one I see is ResultList. This one seems to be in all Test Stand sequences. I am not sure exactly how it's used.
I have pulled the sub-sequence out of the main sequence and made a new main sequence with all of the same variables.
Look at it and let me know what you think.

Problem with effectiveness of filters

I have at several occasions run into cases were the built in "query optimizer" don’t apply filters in the best order from a performance point of view when dealing with multiple filters joined together using AND-filters.
As a work-around to the problem I have sub classed the built-in filters adding an extra constructor that allow setting the effectiveness as a hard coded integer value that (if specified) is returned instead of the calculated value. This way I was able to force an AND filter to pick the filter I know (from application knowledge) is most likely the most efficient first.
Would it be possible to get this kind of constructor added to the standard filter classes?
I would also like to know how a few things about how indexes are used by Coherence:
1.     How does the various built in filters calculate there effectiveness? Do coherence for instance keep some statistics about how many unique values an index contain or how does it decide what index that is more effective than another?
2.     Can Coherence use more than one index at the same time (i.e. merge indexes)? From my experience it seems like only one index is used fully, other indexes are only used to avoid de-serialization when performing a linear search of the hits from the first index. As far as I know only the most advanced RDBM are able to use more than one index (instead of only performing linear search from the result of one index) so I am not really surprised if Coherence do the same...
3.     Does making an index sorted in any way improve the performance if the index is used as the second or third index applied in a query (one could envision that some sort of binary search could be used instead of linear search of the hits from the first index used if a sorted index is available)?

You can simply create a wrapper filter which implements IndexAwareFilter and wraps another IndexAwareFilter. The calculateEffectiveness should be implemented as you want it, and you can delegate applyIndex() and evaluateEntry() to the wrapped filter.

Of course if you form a logical expression between two filters using different extractors, indexes to both extractors will be used if they exist. The applyIndex() and calculateEffectiveness() methods receive all indexes in the mapIndexes parameter, so your custom index-aware filter can use any number of existing indexes at the same time.

This is independent of what other filters you use in your logical expression, the evaluation of the subexpression on the sorted index will still be more efficient than if the index was unsorted.

Problem with effect in fcpx 10.0.9

Hi,
almost all the effect don't work.
When I go on the effect icon with the mouse, nothing append and when i apply the effect on a sequence, it is the same, nothing append.
When i increase the amount of the effect, the screen become black (like as i decrease the opacity).
I have uninstall fcpx yesterday (following the instruction of apple) and reinstall but the problem stays.
my configuration:
imac 2013 with OSX 10.8.4
fcpx 10.0.9

Problem with replacement of index series, change of base year

Hi Experts!
I try to explain my problem in Real Estate.
In Italy from January 2011 the baseline (base year) national index of consumer prices for the entire community (NIC) and national consumer price index for families of workers and employees (CPI) moved from 1995 to 2010.
So, I have to change the base year of index in Rent Adjustment.
I think I have changed the base year from 1995 to 2010.
(Path: Real Estate>Rent Adjustment>Index>Replacement of index series, change of base year)
In table TIVAJINDXCON (previous was empty) now there is this record:
SERIESTO: 08000
BASEYEARTO: 1995
SERIESFROM: 08000
BASEYEARFROM: 2010
CHAINDATE: 31.12.2010
INDEXBASETO: 1,373
But with transaction FOA0 it seems that the rent adjustment still consider 1995 as base year instead of 2010.
I have to set the SAP application as to use 2010 as new base year instead of 1995.

Problem with Pages/SpotLight index

I posted a question regarding a problem I am having using "Open existing files" in Pages. The thread is called "Can't find pages files".
After some responses I was asked to use Onyx to rebuild the spotlight index. However the problem was fixed on the first search but soon returned back. One of the posters said that it seems that something on my system is clobbering the Spotlight index. He says I may require a clean system install to get rid of the issue. However before doing so, he suggested I ask in the forum dedicated to _Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard _

If you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, send a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, join the Mac Developer Program—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report or enhancement request. The nice thing with this procedure over submitting feedback is that you get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.
