Time differences when syncronizing iCal and SonyEricsson W810i

Does anyone know why the time of appointments and other entries in the calendar is different in my phone and in iCal? There seems to be one hour dislocation...
For example, if I add an appointment using my phone, setting it to 13.00-14.00, after syncronizing with my computer the appointment in iCal is shown to start 2:00 PM. THe other way arount, if I add an appointment in iCal to start at 10 am, after syncronizing (with iSYnc) the appointment appears to start at 9 am on my phone.
The time displayed is the exact same on my computer and on my phone, and I've tried both with and without using time-zone support in iCal.
This is really annoying and makes both my iCal AND phone calendar useless since in the end I don't know which time is correct! So if someone has any ideas on this problem, please let me know!

Got help from SonyEricsson support. The problem was that the wrong time zone was selected in my phone. (Stockholm GMT+1 in iCal and GMT (wrong!) in my phone. In settings/Time & date/Time zone choose your time zone (GMT+1 for me), and then make sure the correct is also set in iCal. After this I had to manually adjust the clock in my phone to get it all right. Also the settings for daylight saving has to be the same.

    I haven't synced with a password, I don't mind losing all the data I just want to be able to use it again !! I'm not sure what IOS it is, not sure it's the most recent, I have a feeling I'm not on IO7.
    Thanks for all your help.

  • I'can't synchronize iCal and my w810i...

    Hi all !
    I saw that a lot of person have a problem with iSync/w810i/osX.4.6... But for me (osx.4.8), I can use isync for contact and task.
    It's really great.
    But for calendars...
    After a synchronization, I don't see events in my phone. The calendar in my phone is empty, but I have a lot of events in my iCal's calendar ! If I try to create an event in my phone, after a synchronization, this event is remove from the phone, and it doesn't appear in iCal !...
    Why ?
    I watch the iSync's history, and I see that iSync copy only 5 events from iCal to the empty calendar in my phone (I have 50 events in iCal), and in the same take, iSync remove 5 events from my phone !
    Why ?!
    iCal's data are corrupted ?

    Damned !!! It works !!!
    Thanks !
    I reset all my config, and make only 2 events in "Travail". I choose the "Erase data on device then sync option from the phone first sync", and sync.
    In the calendar in my phone, I have nothing, and in the iSync's history, I have:
    14:53:10 [Mac -> TelToto] Modification des événements du calendrier : 2 ajouté(s), 0 modifié(s) et 0 supprimé(s)
    (In english: Events modification in calendar: 2 added, 0 modified, and 0 removed)
    After, I reset sync history, and re-sync.
    I have an alert, because iSync want to add an event in iCal from the phone. Now in iCal I have 3 events. An event is duplicated from the first day to the second day.... hum... hum... And in my phone... nothing appear !
    And... I saw that I have a problem with the year... In my phone, the calendar was in 2006, and iCal in 2007...!!!
    Now, all is right !

  • Time difference when sincing

    Sincing between ibook G3 and Sony Ericsson K750i gives no problem, except for the time. Some, not all, transfered data show a time difference with the source. ibook >>K750: +1 hour, K750>>ibook, - 1 hour. Both are set at the same hour. Any idea what is wrong?
    Thanks,
    Walter.

    Yes, the *Time Zone* and/or *Daylight Saving* setting in your phone is incorrect.

  • Time difference when synchronizing between 6300 an...

    When I use OVI to sync between my 6300 and my Outlook, the imported calender posts is shown one hour earlier than they were in Outlook. The time is set to the same in both my 6300 and on my PC. Both are set to automatically update the time.

    I had the same problem and I found out that my computer and my phone (X2-01) showed different time-zones (GMT + n). I live in GMT+1 but GMT was selected (by default) on my phone however the time was right (hh:mm). Since I selected GMT+1 on my phone, calendar shows the same time on my phone and my outlook calendar.
    To check your time zone on your phone, go to the menu, select "settings" > "Date and Time" > "Date and Time settings" > "Time Zone" and select your time zone.
    Note: you can't change in "Date and Time settings" when "Auto-update of Time" (in menu "Date and Time") is on. Set your "Auto-update" on Off and you can access the "Date and Time settings" menu.

  • Time difference issue between actual and system internal time..

    Hi,
    We have PCCE v9.0.3 running in our network.
    We see time difference of mor than 30 minutes between CUIC reports and SQL quries output for the calls.
    I checked system time for all components along with NTP source, all good.However the RTTEST and PROCMON utilities STATUS command output shows the local time is behind actual time.
    I have attached the snapshot of this.
    Thanks!

    Not exactly true:
    User SYS is the owner of the data dictionary. In fact, SYS is the owner of the entrire structure of the database. The datadictionary is stored in the SYS-schema (a user = a schema)
    SYSTEM is an account with many privileges and is used as an administrator account. SYSTEM owns some objects, but not the data dictionary
    The tablespace SYSTEM is the tablespace in which the SYS schema (and SYSTEM schema as well) is stored. The names of the SYSTEM account and SYSTEM tablespace have nothing to do with each other, not as far as I know anyway

  • Time Difference between iPhone calender and Mac iCal

    I'm having trouble when syncing my iPhone to my Mac. All of the times I enter on my computer are correct, but when I sync my phone to through iTunes, all of the times are one hour behind on the phone. When I correct it through my phone and sync again, the time on the Mac is one hour ahead. Now I bought the computer in central time zone. I also had to trade my iphone due to a broken switch in the central time zone as well, but I live on the east coast. Could the fact that I activated the phone in the midwest but live in the east be the reason for this?

    Sorry for hasty posting. Deep in the setup, under Mail, Contacts, Calendar, the Calendar was set to Cupertino and I am in Prague. That is why, stupid me ...

  • When will iCal and Mail on the Mac work as well with exchange as their IOS counterparts do on the iPad?

    To get mail to access my exchange email I have to use a private smtp server  as the passing in the settings for our actual exchnage server have never worked.  But that does at least work.  With iCal I have never been able to access my exchange calendar.  It accepts the login and appears to connect but the calendar can never be refreshed so is non-functional.
    Contrast that to my iPad where I just put in my email user and pwd (for the same account as above) and both mail and calendar are fully functional (or at least so far). This is appearently due to cal and mail on iPad using OWA for everything but fetching mail.  Why oh why is this approach not taken on the mac?

    John Galloway wrote:
    OK, I'll bite.  What are these "full desktop" facilities that you don't get on the iPad?  (I have been using email for as long as its been around pretty much, but just started using email/cal on the iPad).
    You're still missing the point.  The iPad uses the same code for the mail and calander apps as the iPhone.  So the code was already baked in when the iPad was released.  Thus "simple" to have the iPad connect to Exchange 2003.  Apple didn't start supporting Exchange the the OSX apps until after that and for whatever reason, decided to only go with the Exchange 2007 protocols.  Different programs and different capabilities.
    I have never seen the innards of OSX Mail or IOS Mail
    Not necessary to see the code for the apps specifically.  But if you've ever written any apps, particularly under a large bureaucratic environment where there are many cooks in the kitchen, you'd know what I meant when I said "...What you think can be "carried over" is a substantial rewrite to Mail and iCal.  I'm not saying it's not possible, just that it ain't as simple as you think...."
    What Apple product is competing with exchange server for email?  Sure you can run an email service on OSX...
    You've just answered the question.  Apple does sell a email server product and they did have MobileMe, soon to be iCloud.  Exchange is a competing product.
    ...but there is pretty much 0 corporate presence of Apple servers (servers not clients) as far as I know.  And sure exchange 2003 is old hat, but what percentage of clients still connect to one?
    And you know that "zero" figure for sure?  Like you know for certain exactly how many (or little) Exchange 2003 servers are still in use?  I never said that there were NO Exchange 2003 servers in use.  (I have a client still on one, so I know for a fact that it is not zero.)  My point was that Apple made a decision whether to spend the time, $$$ nd effort to add in an additional feature to their existing Mail and iCal OSX apps, which uses a different protocol, to a competing product, that is not a new product and is more than one version out and that already has a specific EOL date from the manufacturer (April 2014.)  Again, I specifically state that it's not a technical reason that it can't be done.  But if you don't understand that it's more likely to be that someone saw the ROI wasn't there, then you likely will never understand.
    (You will, of course, want the last word.  Please go ahead.  I have already given you answers, regardless of your acceptance of their correctness.)

  • Difference when using old and new PCA datasources

    Hello experts,
    We have implemented the new PCA datasources provided by business content version 3.3. We have built a new infocube (ZPCA_C01) as we were not concerned about the appropriate performance of these new datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 0EC_PCA_4.
    After loading the new cube (ZPCA_C01) with the new datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 4, we made a comparison to the content of the old cube 0PCA_C01, that was loaded with 0EC_PCA_1.
    For thesame period (2005.001-002) there is a difference between the contents of the cubes. When checking the results I found that this may be caused by the fact, that 0EC_PCA_4 does not populate "Total credit postings" and "Total debit postings" fields in the new cube, however, we have a couple of records in table GLPCA, where ACTIV = 'PRC4', and that have a corresponding record in GLPCT, where there is a figure in
    TSL02 field. It results in the fact that>
    - 0EC_PCA_1 extracts the figure from GLPCT for Posting Period 2,
    - 0EC_PCA_4 does not extract the same figure from GLPCA.
    Can you please help me with the above problem? Do you know how Credit and Debit figures get to BW from GLPCA, where ACTIV='PRC4'?
    Thanks,
    Csaba

    Hi
    I am exeuting a trigger and while retrieving a date field from it using :OLD and :NEW variables, it leaves the timestamp part.
    for example,the actual value for start_date field in the table is '10/12/2005 7:04:25 PM', but when I use :NEW.start_date , it returns only '10/12/2005' .
    How to make it return the timestamp also?
    Thanks.How are you determining that it's missing the time component from it?
    If it's a DATE datatype then it will have both date and time components. If you take that and store it in a DATE datatype column then that too will store the date and time components. If you then go and view that data, it will have both date and time components unless you have your local settings (NLS settings etc) set so that dates are displayed without the time portion. That doesn't mean the data is not there, but that you are not displaying it when you query it.

  • JDBC Interaction response time difference in j2sdk1.4 and jdk1.3

    Hi All
    I am working on performance issues regarding response time . i have upgraded my system from jdk1.3 to j2sdk1.4 . I was expecting the performance gain in terms of response time in j2sdk1.4. but to my surprise it shows varied results with my application. it shows that j2sdk1.4 is taking higher time for executing the application when it has to deal with database. I am using oracle 9i as the backend database server.
    if any body has the idea about, why j2sdk1.4 is showing higher responce time while interacting with database as compare to jdk1.3. then do let me know this.
    Thanx in advance

    You may use the latest jdbc driver - http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/index.html
    And check the documentation for the new features and changes between jdbc drivers from JDBC Developer's Guide and Reference - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/java.102/b14355/toc.htm

  • Procedure execution time difference in Oacle 9i and Oracle 10g

    Hi,
    My procedure is taking time on
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 is 14 min.
    same procedure is taking time on oracle Release 9.2.0.1.0 is 1 min.
    1) Data is same in both environment.
    2) Number of records are same 485 rows for cursor select statement.
    3)Please guide me how to reduce the time in oracle 10g for procedure?
    i have checked the explain plan for that cursor query it is different in both enviroment.
    so i have analysis that procedure is taking time on cursor fetch into statement in oracle 10g.
    example:-
    create or replace procedure myproc
    CURSOR cur_list
    IS select num
    from tbl
    where exist(select.......
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET SQL_TRACE = TRUE';
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET TIMED_STATISTICS = TRUE';
    OPEN cur_list;
    LOOP
    FETCH cur_list INTO cur_list; -----My procedure is taking time in this statement only for some list number. there are 485 list number.
    end loop;
    TRACE file for oracle 10g is look like this:-
    call count cpu elapsed disk query current rows
    Parse 1 0.00 0.00 0 0 0 0
    Execute 1 0.37 0.46 0 2 0 0

  • Keeping latest entries when syncing iCal and iPhone

    Hello,
    Is there a way I can *keep my latest entries* on iCal (be them on my iPhone or MacBook Pro) rather choosing one device's entries to replace the others?
    Thank you,
    Nando.

    I am having the exact same problem! UGH!

  • Time difference in both hours and mins

    I have used below code in column formula(OBIEE 10g)
    TimestampDiff(SQL_TSI_Hour, TIMESTAMP'1998-07-31 23:35:00', TIMESTAMP'2000-04-01 14:24:00')
    The result I am getting in hours. But I would like the output to be both hour and mins .
    Is there any possibility to get the output this way. I have used the option decimal points
    present in column properties but its not working.
    The output is 3.00(Here 3 being hours)
    The output requrired is 3.27(Here 3 bening hour and 27 being mins)
    With above code I can only get hours.If I do on Minutes it is only showing minutes

    Hi,
    Use the following formula:
    TRIM(BOTH ' ' FROM CAST(FLOOR(TimestampDiff(SQL_TSI_Minute, TIMESTAMP'2000-04-01 13:00:00', TIMESTAMP'2000-04-01 16:37:00')/60.00) AS CHAR)) || '.' || CAST(MOD(TimestampDiff(SQL_TSI_Minute, TIMESTAMP'2000-04-01 13:00:00', TIMESTAMP'2000-04-01 16:37:00'),60.00) AS CHAR)
    This will give you 3.37 as a CHAR. You can cast it back to an INT if needed.
    The trim has been used as CAST from INT to CHAR gives trailing spaces in 10g.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get the time difference (in seconds) between two timestamp fields?

    Hi All,
    I'm exploring validation expressions in SAP MDM Data Manager version 7.1.07.245
    I have two timestamp fields, suppose Update Date and Update-GDS.
    What I'm trying to do is prompt a warning when:
    (Update Date minus Update-GDS) is greater than or equal to zero seconds
    AND
    (Update Date minus Update-GDS) is less than or equal to 900 seconds
    the bottomline is, Update Date must be equal or greater than to Update-GDS but Update Date must not exceed 900 seconds difference.
    my initial try was:
    (Update Date - Update-GDS)>=0 s AND (Update Date - Update-GDS)<=900 s
    But it always returns true even the time difference between update date and update-gds is beyond the condition.
    Can you please guide me through this?
    Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards,
    ~erwin

    Hi Abhishek,
    I tried your code but it always returns true.
    It seems subtraction of timestamp fields do not actually get the time difference... (in seconds)
    Is this possible anyway? Or is there any other better approach on this?
    Thanks,
    ~erwin

    I need to get the elapased hours between these two columns. Please help me
    Thanks

    you can use beans or create a case when statement like:
    case
    when TimeStampDiff(SQL_TSI_Min, table.column1, table.column2 ) <= 60 then 1 else
    when TimeStampDiff(SQL_TSI_Min, table.column1, table.column2 ) > 60 and TimeStampDiff(SQL_TSI_Min, table.column1, table.column2 ) <= 90 then 1.5 else
    when TimeStampDiff(SQL_TSI_Min, table.column1, table.column2 ) > 90 and TimeStampDiff(SQL_TSI_Min, table.column1, table.column2 ) <= 150 then 2.5 else
    end
