Time Dimension - Expanding Time Table Dates

Hi all!
I have an Analysis Services project with a Time table that was created through the wizard.
(Generate a table in the data source option)
The date range used was too small, is there a method to add more dates into the table? Hoping I won't have to recreate the dimension again from scratch.

According to your description, you create a time table using "Generate a table in the data source option", and the issue is that the date range was to small, right?
When creating a table table using "Generate a table in the data source option", we can specify the time periods, and also the start and end dates for the dimension.
So in your scenario, you can specify the first calendar day earlier to expand the time table dates.

You can simply use ALTER TABLE ADD.. syntax to add the columns if the tables already exist.
You can generate a single script for all tables using INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES view
You can make then of NOT NULL type and set the default value to GETDATE()
In addition you can also have a Audit Trail trigger for UPDATE to make sure Modified date gets updated correctly on each update if not passed explicitly.

Modelling Time Dimension with Fact Table containing Start Date and End Date

Hi Gurus,
I have a time dimension with Year till Date. I have a fact table which consists of Start Date, End Date, Person ID, Department ID.
How do i design Time dimension with fact table the below scenario
In the dashboard i have start Month and End month as prompts.
In the report i need to display Count(Person ID) > Start Date and < End Date along the trend.
For instance, i have selected Jan-2009 as start date and Apr-2009 as End Date, then i need to display Count(Person ID) of Jan-2009, Feb2009, Mar-2009 andApr-2009.
I Can not connect Time dimension with only Start Date or only with End Date to get the trend along the months.
Please advice on the issue which i am having.

Thanks for the response, Infact i tried using Complex join in physical layer. I have considered Time table joined with Fact table, and used >= and took and alias of the Time table and joined fact table using <=. When coming to BMM, i am not knowing how do i design this as if i merge the both the time dimensiona and its alias into single table, values will not be correct and if i make them as seperate columns. i can not show the trend as both are different columns.
Can you please let know where i am going wrong.

We can move into other tablespace as well. But concern is how to improve the alter table move command performance.
Is there any specific parameter apart from the nologging and parallel server..
If it is taking 8 hours , can some have experience that nologging will save how much time. or is there any risk in doing in production.

How should i go about to create the following?
I want to Expand a table at the same time as i set at variable and unhide another table. I have implemented a single-click solution i the Table API that works fine. I would like to use the Table API for this problem also.
Is this possible? Do I need to make it in multiple steps ie some kind of java-script?

This is not written in the WAD, but in the Table API. The table API generates the link, creating a JavaScript call. But i hvae also tried to write this url directly in the WAD on an http://.... format but it still does not work.

EABP table dats is missing in TDMS ERP time slice tranfer

Hi,
Is EABP table (Budget Billing Plan) is not part of TDMS ERP transfer? Recently we did some erp time slice transfer with 2 yrs of data but this table data was not selected in sender system. Our project team needs this table data for their testing. For temporary solution we transported table data from sender system to receiver system with sap transport tools.
Is anyone have any idea why this table data was not carried out with tdms?

It should get transferred by TDMS, there may be some customizing issue. Raise a OSS message to SAP support they will be able to solve it.

Fields DATBI & TIMBI are the end date and time for a time segment, so this will change each time the equipment is dismantled/installed in a new location.

Auto Expand Html table when we paster data from Microsoft Excel sheet

I need copied data to my Html table.
Actual requirement is like that when i copy selected rows with selected columns from Microsoft excel sheet and press "ctlr v" on my jsp page then table on jsp must be auto expand as data in excel sheet.
Take an example.
I copy 4 rows with 3 columns from excel sheet.
I have JSP page with 1 row and 3 columns.
when i press "ctrl v" on first cell of my jsp table then table should be auto expand to accommodate 4 rows of excel sheet.
here i have some of the code which is near to this, this code just copy past only one row, but i need multiple rows.
If need then please refer below code and if possible then give me the solution to auto expand HTML table on JSP

I'm just trying to understand how the subcubes are created using SCOPE.
Example 1:
SCOPE([Measures].[Credit Note CA]);
SCOPE([Date NextYear].[Date].[Date], [Time].[Date].Members, [Currencies].[Currency].[Currency]);
THIS = [Measures].[Credit Note LC] * [Measures].[Exchange Rate To Euro NY];

Example 2:
SCOPE([Measures].[Credit Note CA]);
SCOPE([Date NextYear].[Date].Members, [Time].[Date].Members, [Currencies].[Currency].[Currency]);

The difference between both examples is: [Date NextYear].[Date].[Date] vs. [Date NextYear].[Date].Members
If I use the 2nd one I get the results that I expected.
I should explain that the measure [Measures].[Credit Note LC] is related to the 3 dimensions: [Date NextYear], [Time] and [Currency], while the measure [Measures].[Exchange Rate To Euro NY] is only related to [Time] and [Currency].
The only different I can see if when I use the "Members" I get the set of members in the [Date] level, if not I get the same result + the All member, but I don't know exactly how this affect the subcube and my results.
Could anyone explain me that? I would really appreciate it.

Using [Date NextYear].[Date].[Date] will return the Date members without the All member .
Using [Date NextYear].[Date].Members will return all members including the ALL member itself (assuming IsAggregatbla property set to true) .

Query Question - Linking in Time Span Data to Point-in-Time References

I am trying to pull historical data from a time-span table of records, using another point-in-time reference. I have been unsuccessful.
I've thrown some sample tables and data together to illustrate what I am seeking:

I have attempted to join the historical table using a less-than operator. This doesn't work since more than one row can be returned.

I haven't thought of a way I can do this using a nested subquery - I keep running into that problem - how do you link in Time-Span data with a point-in-time reference.
Any ideas / enlightening thoughts?

I changed the tables to hold VARCHAR2(6) shift information and your query to reference the ChangeDate column.
I also assume you meant to link a TimeCard entry with the most previous ShiftChange entry rather than one that occurs after the time worked (TC.WORKDAY>=SC.CHANGEDATE(+) rather than TC.WORKDAY<=SC.CHANGEDATE(+)):
Another issue you don't take into account the case where there has been no shift change. In that event you need the current shift from the EmployeeInfo table which is taken care of with the NVL function.
You correctly note that multiple shift change records will result in duplicate TimeCard records though your test data fails to check for that condition. I added this row:

I need to transfer CATS data to FICO. I found out about transaction CAT7.
At the moment, I have 2 issues:
1) My CATSDB data have status "30". However, there is no corresponding entries in CATSCO. Could you tell me what I need to do to ensure that CATSCO has values?
2) My FICO system is running on 4.6C whereas my HR system is running on ECC6.0. Can CAT7 still works?

How to create a time table by Automator

I want to create a new calendar by using Automator. It is a time table.
In the time table, there are Day 1 - Day 6.
For example,

It starts from 1/9/2010 and end on 1/7/2011.
h represent holiday, no event needs to be created. The date of holiday is provided by the school.
The problem that I am facing now is I can filter out the holiday but I don't know how to pass the dates to next action. The provided iCal actions are suck. How can I write my own action? Or do you guys have any suggestions for me to create such calendar?

You have 1 WebI document which has 2 objects on it. One is a table and the other is a graph of the same values.
You are linking to the graph using openDocument. However, you want to pass values from tableA (selected row values) into the graph.
Is this correct?
