Time displayed incorrect - Belgium

Hi there,
just upgraded to 4.2.1 software on my Iphone 4 and guess what?
Time is displayed incorrect in automatic mode.
Time is normally 10u30 and it displays 04u30 ...
Does Apple know this already?
Anyone else got this problem?
I manually changed the time on my Iphone, but I hope Apple come up with a fix for this, very soon!?

Time display incorrect using Output (generatePDFOutput) module

I needed to manipulate the date & time to display the day, date time with am/pm and timezone. So using formcalc with renderPDFForm as the module i am using this formCalc code:
$.rawValue = Concat(Num2Date(Date(), "EEEE MMM DD YYYY")," ", Num2Time(Time(), "h:MM:SS A Z"))
This works correctly and it prints out " Tuesday May 01 2012 1:26:02 PM EDT" this is exactly what I want and it is correct, but for 508 purposes we switched out renderPDFForm and are now using generatePDFOutput. There has been no change to the code but now my pint out says "Tuesday May 01 2012 1:16:15 PM GMT-04:00" Why is this gmt part now showing is it due to the module is there code to get around it?

I changed the RenderPDF to generatePDFOutPut and I am getting the expected time format.
Not sure what is wrong with the settings you made.
If you still have issues, keep the RenderPDF option and then add the transformPDF service to flatten it out. That way it can keep the same format.

[SOLVED] Incorrect time displayed in my system

Hey Archers,
I have trouble correct time being displayed in my system.
My BIOS time is:
May 18 2012 08:39:21 PM IST
Date command displays
Sat May 19 02:09:59 IST 2012
Clearly the time displayed by date command is localtime+05:30 (Asia/Kolkata), when I expect it to be just localtime.
How do I correct this?
I dont dual boot and have just Arch installed on my machine.
And my /etc/rc.conf has this:
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
Please correct if my understanding is wrong, but is this how it works?
When I say HARDWARECLOCK=UTC and TIMEZONE=''Asia/Kolkata",
It assumes, hardwareclock, time displayed by BIOS, is infact UTC, and, since the user is interested in timezone, +0530, it adds 0530 to hardware clock.

You were right, my hardware clock was on local time.
So this is what I did to set it correct.
1. Set the HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" in /etc/rc.conf
HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
2. Reboot the system
3. Set the systemclock to UTC by doing a -0530 (minus 05 hours 30 minutes)
# date `date -d "-05 hours -30 mins" +%m%d%H%M%Y`
4. Copy the system clock value to hardware clock
# hwclock --systohc
5. Edit the /etc/rc.conf to set HARDWARECLOCK back to UTC
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
6. Reboot the system.
And yes, now my system clock displays correct time
Just setting HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" also worked. But since I the beginners guide recomments "UTC" I did all this.

I am having trouble with the calendar displaying incorrect dates and times

I am currently receiving calendar invites that i know are displaying incorrectly in my calendar and i am unsure how to fix this.

Yes its all correct. I have just discovered that a separate calendar was set up with incorrect settings from the originator. I have checked all my settings and I'm good to go. thanks for your response

Clock time being displayed incorrectly

Hey all, I have a little problem with my macbook.
I noticed a while back that the time displayed by iStat Menus time is an hour faster than the actualy current time. Thinking that the current time zone was giving me problems, I went into time zone and sure enough, it's the correct time zone. I looked at the time in the Date & Time preference pane, and it shows the correct time. Also, when I turned on the clock in Date & Time, the Mac OS X stock clock, it showed the same time as iStat Menus was showing me, the current time plus one hour. Does anyone know a way to resolve this as it is really bothering me. Thanks

Incorrect Time Displayed - Help

G'dday All,
I am a newbie in J2ME and learning to "crawl" through this area. Now one of the issues I am having is that if I execute the following command:
Calendar c = Calendar.getInstance();
String timeString = c.get(Calendar.HOUR) + ":" + c.get(Calendar.MINUTE) + ":" + c.get(Calendar.SECOND);
System.out.println("The TIME is : " + timeString); //display on console
For instance, if the current actual time is 10.04.02 pm then the time displayed on the Sun J2ME emulator phone is 10.4.2 . My question is that why does J2ME drop the 0s from the MINUTE and SECOND units ? Is there a way around it so this would be displayed correctly? Further, how does J2ME differentiate between 10.04 and 10.40 since in J2ME both will be 10.4 ?
I will appreciate any ideas as how to go about fixing this problem.

The Calendar.get() method returns an int. So the value 04 is actually 4. Integer.toString() has no idea it should use two digits so it displays this as "4".
You will need to get the minutes and seconds into a temporary variable, and if they are smaller than 10 add the additional "0" yourself:
int minutes = c.get(Calendar.MINUTE);
if (minutes < 10) {
timeString = timeString + "0";
timeString = timeString + minutes;

Iphone 5s incoming call number displays incorrectly.

Whenever I call my wife's Iphone from work, the number displays incorrectly on her caller ID. It is always dropping the third number of the area code, so if my work number was 123-456-7890, then when I call her it shows up on her phone as 124-567-890, it doesn't even show a ten digit number. So far I have noticed that it only happens when I call her from the landlines at my work. I also have the exact same iphone 5s on the same carrier and the numbers display perfectly fine on my phone so I feel like it's some setting in the phone. Before switching to an iphone we had her contacts imported from an old Verizon flip phone, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Has anyone seen or heard of a similar issue?

By the way I have completely reset all content and settings several times, tried turning off international assist, tried several suggestions I found online dealing with the sim pin, switched to a different phone to have the same thing happen on that phone also. I have the same exact iphone 5s and carrier and service plan and the numbers appear perfectly on my phone. I'm so confused why this is happening.

Try doing a reset on your phone. Sounds like your carrier's time set is not getting through to your device. If the reset doesn't do it, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. That should do it.

Some character display incorrect after unicode conversion

Dear Experts,
Currently we upgrade our SAP system from 4.6B NU to ECC6.0 UN.
in 4.6B system we had implemented Simple Chinese and French language package to the system. after upgrade to ECC6.0 no-unicode system. we perform a MDMP unicode conversion.currently system running with ECC6.0 unicode interface with language 1EFD. SUMG releated tasks had been finished. Chinese and French language checked OK in ECC6 UN system.
Our issue is. in the past time. some Spanish local end user typing some spanish character in some master date field when they login in 4.6B GUI choice english as login language.these kind of spanish characters could not display correct in current unicode environment.
could you please given us some suggestion for how to fix this issue.

I doubt that the data shown by you in the link was caused by Spanish users logged on in EN.
I think this was rather caused by utf-8 data uploaded into the Non-Unicode system.
In this case, you need to repair the according texts manually, I do not know any automatic repair.

Photos Display Incorrectly after iPhoto 9.1.2 Update

Since the latest iPhoto Update (9.1.2) Photos have been displaying incorrectly on AppleTV in Events View. Instead of being organized in events like in iPhoto, the events are displayed with 2 photos in each, creating multiple events for each actual event. For instance, if a specific event in iPhoto has 1,500 photos, then on AppleTV, this event is displayed 750 separate times with 2 photos in each "event". That makes it impossible to fins anything specific, and is embarrassing when you are showing people your cool AppleTV.
I have restored the AppleTV, rebuilt the Thumbnails and Caches in iPhoto, adjusted my Firewall, yet nothing has fixed the issue. Everything else displays correctly, Movies, TV Shows, Music, Pod Casts, just not the Photos.
Anyone else experiencing this, or find a fix?

I found this other thread discussing this topic, no fix, I will revert to 9.1.1 from Time Machine and wait for a new update.

System time is incorrect

I just recently installed Arch Linux i686. I thought I got the time set correctly when I first installed Arch, but now I notice that the system time is incorrect. I live in Tucson, Arizona. Arizona (execpt for the Navajo Indian reservation) is on MST (GMT-7) year round, no DST. I dual boot this machine to both Windows and Linux, so the hardware clock is set to local time. When I boot to Windows, the correct time is displayed. in /etc/rc.conf, I have
HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
TIMEZONE="Ameria/Phoenix"
When I boot Arch, and type the date command, it displays localtime - 7 hours. Also, if a create a new file and do a "ls -l" command, the timestamp on the file is localtime - 7 hours. It appears that Arch thinks the hardwareclock is set to UTC, even though I have HARDWARECLOCK="localtime" specified.
How can I fix this?
(I did a pacman update a week ago and it looked like it installed a new kernel. Maybe this is when the incorrect system time started. Not sure.)

The Arch boot sequence, from the wiki page, http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Boot:

2 Kernel and memory management functions loaded into memory
3 init called - follows instructions from /etc/inittab
4 /etc/rc.sysinit is called.
Early in rc.sysint , from my x86-64 Arch on a dual AMD cpu, the realtime-clock driver is loaded. In my case, it's rtc-cmos. Bugs have been reported in various places about this driver. I don't know which version of the driver, or which kernels might be affected. The driver is for PC-style computers; without it ACPI would not function.
Then, the hwclock may be adjusted for system drift depending on use of localtime or UTC.
After the local filesystems are mounted, the hwclock may be adjusted again.
You could add lines to rc.sysinit to echo the hwclock time to the screen for the boot sequence using "/sbin/hwclock -r" to see which adjustment instance is causing the errors and then take steps to correct the adjustment or prevent the adjustment from occurring.

Bullet (unordered) sublists within number (ordered) lists are displayed incorrectly

In my FrameMaker source, I've got the usual L1 Bullet List,
L2 Number List, L3 Bullet Sublist, L4 Number Sublist styles
defined. I've imported the source by reference into RoboHelp, and
I've mapped the FrameMaker styles via fmstyles.css to RoboHelp
styles. I've resolved almost all the style issues, but a nasty one
remains: Bullet sublists within number lists are not displayed
properly.
All the combinations of lists and sublists look fine in
FrameMaker. In the help (WebHelp) that RoboHelp produces, bullet
sublists within bullet lists are displayed as I would expect: The
sublists are indented and have a different bullet style (circles
rather than disks) relative to the "parent" list. Bullet sublists
within number lists, however, are displayed incorrectly. They are
indented too far (twice as far as I they should be), and they use
the wrong bullet style (circles rather than disks). No matter how
many times I use the style editor to try to convince RoboHelp to
display bullet sublists within number with the correct indentation
and bullet style, I get the same result. Has anyone every fought
this battle and won? If so, how did you do it?

I think you cannot mix bullet and numbered lists at different
levels during the import because RoboHelp makes one single list out
of the entire list/sublist order. I.e., after the import, all list
items are simple items in one list even though they belonged to
different list levels in the original document.
I did succeed in using bulleted sublists within normal bullet
lists. I created a second CSS style in the import dialog (with a
larger indention) and mapped it to the FM-style that resembles the
sublist items.But due to RH putting all items into one list, you
cannot mix different bullet styles. Most browsers will ignore this
and display a sinlge bullet style for all items in the list.

Illustrator CC 2014 Links Panel Displaying Incorrectly

Hi,
I am having trouble with the Links panel in Illustrator CC 2014.
The panel does not display correctly, it seems to hide all of the link information and preview unless I enlarge the panel to a huge size.
Even if I resize the window it still displays incorrectly and hides all of the link previews. The same also happens when I hide all of the link information as well.
Is anyone else having this problem and / or has a solution?

Has a solution been found?I am actually having another issue with the links panel and the links themselves. Sometimes my links panel will not even show up when clicking Window>Links Panel. Whether it shows up or not, I can no longer work with linked images in illustrator. Simple clicking on a linked image inside a clipping mask causes illustrator to stop for about five minutes. Releasing the clipping mask takes another five. Moving the image behind the clipping mask takes another five along with re-making the clipping mask. It is certainly not the hardware because I can quickly minimize illustrator, make edits in PS, download a movie while playin iTunes...while illustrator is taking 5 minutes to move an object. I am truly stumped by this, someone please help as it costing me hours and hours of time at work.

All Menus in Firefox Display Incorrectly

Every menu in Firefox displays incorrectly. All menus appear to be the entire Firefox window shrunk down into the bounds of the menu. I can even see part of the menu in the stretched version. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit and I've reinstalled Firefox several times. I wonder if it has something to do with my Window FX 5.1, but I've set it to exclude Firefox as an app.

Cursor Displaying Incorrectly

So for about 3 months now, the mouse cursor on my macbook has been displaying incorrectly. Instead of displaying the solid black arrow, it displays the white shape of the arrow, but with vertical black lines in it. It flickers the correct display of the cursor as I move it over the right side of the screen, but otherwise displays it all wacked out. It still functions as normal, just doesn't display properly. Before anyone asks, I did nothing to change the cursor, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it started doing this. I left it powered up, but sleeping, for about 12 days while I was out of the country in January, and when I got home and opened it up, it was like this and has been ever since. Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks for your time and help!
