Time Warner cable connected me to Worzilla cause I could not play my games on pogo, now it willonly let me into certain ones. Whats the problem?

Time warner cable talked me into conecting to worzilla because I could not conect to my games at Pogo.com. Now I can only get into some games and not all and they put my pogo accounct on facebook and I don't want it there what do I do. I'm ready to delet everything and reinstall.

You are waiting for an apology to something that happened over a year ago? Really? This is why there is a manager in the store. You have a problem with an employee you speak to the manager. Just like you did on the phone. You would have gotten your apology in July 2013.

It is because when you have a problem you (customers) go running to the store and want to take up the time of the reps to fix it. Other carriers have third parties that deal with technical support and those locations are few and far between. VZW provides this directly through their stores. Also, when you subsidize a $650 and pay $200 VZW has to pay $400. Your monthly service fee doesn't begin to scratch the surface of paying that back. Not with all the money that is put into the network and its improvements.
Then over a year later you get someone on the phone who apologized and offered to waive the fee on your phone and you didn't take it? That offer won't come down the pike again.
One thing you should know is that all these employees are people and as such they sometimes come off cross. I doubt that you speak to everyone so sweetly all the time. Cut them a little slack and put this whole thing behind you after 15 months. Either upgrade with VZW or move on.

When I connect Time Capsule to Time Warner Cable Modem, amber light flashes

I want to use Time Capsule as my primary wireless network base. When I connect my Time Capsule directly to my Time Warner Cable Modem, the amber light flashes and Time Capsule won't appear in AirPort Utility on my MacBookPro. I've tried unplugging everything and waiting to reset cable modem and Time Capsule.
Before I got the Time Capsule, I used a wireless router. The only way I can get Time Capsule to work is as a guest on my old wireless router network. I can't get the Time Capsule to configure itself directly with my Time Warner Cable Modem.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

This situation is pretty common now and it has nothing to do with the any of the routers but rather how cable modems are configured to work. They seem to latch on to the first device connected to them whether it be a router or a computer and will not allow any other device to access their network. The solution is to power off the cable modem and wait a minute. While you're waiting disconnect the old connection from the cable modem. Power up the cable modem and then connect the new device, router or computer, to the cable modem. Give it a few seconds to complete the connection and you should be ready to go. You have to do this every time you switch connections to the cable modem. This is also why you should set your router to serve addresses so that you don't have to do the cable modem samba when you want to connect a new device to the network.

Have you power cycled the modem for long enough to deregister the previous client/router MAC address.. it can take 20min or longer off time. If the cable modem is also a router then the AE has to be in bridge mode.
Sometimes there are connection issues.. modem to WAN port of the AE..

Cannot access rented movies via Clear USB Internet connection, but can via wifi and Time Warner Cable. Has anyone encountered the same thing?

I recently rented a movie from iTunes (version 10.4.1.10 on a Windows 7 professional laptop) and when I am at home, on my Clear USB connection, I don't see the Rented Movies in my Library. When I bring my laptop to work however, and connect to a Time Warner Internet connection via wifi, I am able to see my Rented Movies in my Library. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Time Warner Cable wideband broadband slowness issues with Motorola sbg6580 router

I recently purchased Time Warner Wideband broadband cable for Internet service. 50 Megabit down and 5 Megabit up. When I run the speedtests, I can see the full speed measure, but I stil see issues with browsing and getting connected to VPN.
I had Time Warner Cable come out and replace the router. I still had the same issues after the replacement of the SBG6580 router. There are no updates to the firmware on this router.
I consistently see slow web page loads and problems while on VPN. I found posts on the web saying that this router's firewall was not compatible with Apple's computer products. Even with this firewall turned off inside the router, I still had the same slowness and misc issues.
I finally just changed the router into a gateway using the Rg Passthrough (which automatically turned off the NATP). I added the Time Capsule's MAC ID to the bypass section on the Router. I set up my Time Capsule to act as the main router with a cable running from the Motorola router to the Time Capsule WAN port.
The web pages and VPN are extremely faster. So the root cause is with the Motorola SBG6580 router obviously. I always got the full speed on the Speedtest.net web site, but now everything works fine with this change.

Its amazing to me that someone would comment adversely becuase they feel its in the wrong forum. If it affected their life as it does mine then they would get it. safari won't open the time warner cable server, I'm trying to watch amc shows through the website, and it asks you to pick a server to login to. I chose my time warner cable server and it won't connect. ATandT works, but mine won't. I've tried restarting and downloading newer versions but it is still not working.

Recently upgraded my service with Time Warner Cable to Extreme speed and got a new Motorola Surfboard SBG6580, now I get Error -50 constantly. Anyone else have this issue?

I just upgraded my service to Extreme with Time Warner Cable and got the motorola surfboard sbg6580 modem. Now when I try to dowload any videos or TV shows on iTunes, I get an Error -50 mid download. Anyone have a solution for this? I am using a PC, not a Mac computer.

I don't want a used replacement phone when I just bought mine. I have had your "like new" replacements before for my basic phone and had a ton of issues straight out of the box, which is why I don't want one when my phone is so new and I have had issues since day 1! Not once on my several calls to tech support, did anyone tell me to go exchange it the first 2 weeks. That is just one reason they want to send me a replacement. Another is the USB does not work properly, I can't use it to do anything but charge the phone- and my husband has the same phone so I know is not the cord or the computer because his works perfectly. The connection was sporadic so I just installed a new SIM card. So far that has helped with dropping 4g all the time. I have never been able to back up my contacts, spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support the first night I got it just trying to sync the contacts from my old phone. It never worked, I had to hand input the numbers. If Verizon won't do right by be and give me a new phone, I at least would like them to get mine working like it should have when I bought it.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Using airport express to extend Time Warner cable modem wifi signal

I just today got a Time Warner Cable Arris modem with built-in wifi. I'd like to use my 802.11n Airport Express base station to extend the TWC network wifi signal to other parts of my house, but I can't get the Airport Express to shake hands with the TWC modem.
In Airport Utility, under the "Wireless" tab, I've selected "Extend a wireless network". I am able to select my TWC network under "Wireless Network Name." Wireless Security is set to "WPA2 Personal." But when I click "update" the airport express fails to join the TWC network, and my Airport Express signal disappears; I am only able to get the signal back by resetting the Airport Base Station with a paperclip.
Applecare tells me that I might be able to use the Airport Express to extend my TWC network, but they do not support that process. Is there any way to do what I'm trying to do? Are there settings in Airport Utility I need to change? I'd appreciate anyone's help.

You need TWO Airport units, one to function as the main radio and the other to function as an extender. I used two Express units.
Configuration is simple if you start from a factory default condition. Then connect the main Airport to AC power and finally to the Internet modem (or modem/router). Open Airport Utility on your Mac or other computer and accept all of the recommendations. After confirming that it works, insert your desired administrative and WiFi passwords.
Then connect the extender to AC power. As before, open Airport Express on your Mac or other computer and accept all of the recommendations. No need to add password info.
Do not expect the Airport to respond instantly to the configuration commands. BE PATIENT!

Time Warner Cable Chat Live Problem- no JRE Plugin

When I go to the TWC support site and try their Chat Live, I get an error dialog box in the Safari window. It says I need the JRE Plugin, which is N/A to the iPad's Safari. They are blaming Apple's Java on mobile Safari. Does anyone know what the story is? Is there a shortcoming in iOS Safari, or can the problem be with the design of their website?

The answer you sent me is not correct. You asked me to update the Java application on my iPad. iPads and iPhones do not use Java.
Since you have a LOT, repeat a LOT of customers that use Apple's devices, I'm making a suggestion, that you think seriously about upgrading your support site Chat Live function so that it supports iOS devices.
Or
Ad a Chat Live interface to your myTWC app for the iPad and iPhone.
You need to get really serious about making all of your sites iOS friendly as people are migrating from computers to tablets, and the iPad is the only game in town-at least for now.

What TC internet configuration should I use so it can handle Time Warner Cable's constant changing of IP Address?

Today is the third day that I have reconfigured TC internet settings so I can connect (again and again) to the internet. Time Warner Cable's IP seems to be changing daily. Your help will be very much appreciated!

You have to use DHCP.. there is no other option that will work because the modem is not a router.. Unfortunately apple hide any more sophisticated controls so there is nothing much you can do other than power cycle the TC when it gets lost.

Airport with Time Warner Cable Road Runner

We have Time Warner Cable's Road Runner as our isp. They gave us a wireless router, which has been working fine. However, we have 2 floors in our house, and occasionally my computer, that is on the floor above the router, drops the signal. I do have the Airport Extreme, which someone told me I can connect to my computer to help boost the signal. Is this correct, and if so, how do I do that? Because when I try connecting my computer via ethernet cable to the Extreme, it pulls up the old network I use to have the Extreme assigned to. How can I resest the Extreme to work with the Road Runner router account? And is this even how it is done?

In order to extend the Time Warner-provided router's network wirelessly, you will need to set up a Wireless Distribution System (WDS) between that router and the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS).
Unfortunately, most non-AirPort routers are not compatible with Apple's implementation of WDS...so it very unlikely that the router Time Warner has provided you can be extended wirelessly with the AEBS.

o Belkin F5D7230-4 and F5D7231
o BT Voyager 2091
o Netgear WGR614 v6
o Buffalo WGR-G54

Time Capsule and Time Warner Cable

I am having problems with the initial set up of my time capsule. We have an iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Gz and an internet connection through Time Warner Cable (with the requisite cable modem). During set up of the time capsule, I keep getting a message that the time capsule does not have a valid IP address. Do I need to contact TWC? It is my serious hope that I will not have to, as I think TWC's customer service is wretched.

You can normally get this going yourself. The cable modem has only one public IP allocated to the first MAC address to connect.. So you need to power down the cable modem.. power down the rest of the network as well... although not strictly required.. Make sure the only thing plugged into the cable modem is the TC via the WAN port. Restart the cable modem.. wait about 2 minutes for everything to settle down .. then turn on the TC.. it should then get the IP that is offered. If it still fails turn off the cable modem for longer period of time .. even overnight. But it normally takes just a few seconds.. if that fails, try 5min and then 15min .. after that overnight.
Tell us the results after each time.. I don't have TWC but have been a cable customer in the past and the system does keep changing. One minute off was more than enough but they changed and some of the modems that have phone services, also have battery backup.. if that is the case you need to drop the battery out as well.

WiFi via cable company modems normally is not that good. I would get an Apple Airport to simplify matters. At least then you can use Apple's own software that has easy to go through steps. Just remember to plug in your airport to the WAN port when connecting to LAN port of the cable modem via ethernet.
