Timed Objects do not appear, part 2

I am having an issue with getting timed objects to appear and was asked to post a screen shot of the set up. I apologize, but I am unable to post a screen shot here. I can take the screen shot and post elsewhere, just not here.
Here is the setup as best I can describe it.
There is one slide out of 19 that does not work correctly. It is a new addition to the slide deck and is intended to introduce viewers to the layout of an upcoming quiz.
It has a title and text area. There are three buttons that mimic quiz selection buttons. These three buttons are viewable throughout the full duration of the slide and work properly.
As the audio flows, Objects in the form of arrows are timed to appear to direct the viewers attention to the proper button. These do not appear at all. This is the reason I am writing.
The structure of the time line, from bottom to top is: Audio, Slide, the three buttons, then the arrows. I believe this layering is correct. The properties is set so they are viewable in the output.
Again, I apologize for not being able to paste in a screen shot.

They are copy pasted into a word doc, which I was able to attach.

I am using Ind CC 2014 exporting a document to a reflowable epub. The document contains an .ai image. The image exports correctly in some parts of the.epub but not others, where it is distorted. There is a warning on export :"Non rectangular objects will not appear correctly when exported using CSS." Any suggestions appreciated.

After installation of FCE Upgrade 3.5, Objects Do Not Appear in Browser

I recently upgraded to FCE 3.5. To save disk space on my primary hard drive I installed the Live Type media files on a secondary Lacie 250 gig hardrive. The files appear on the secondary hardrive but some objects do not appear in the browser when I open Live Type and click on the object tab in the browser. (only four appear in browser). I went to preferences of Live Type and my computer appears to know that the media files are stored on the secondary hard drive - ie it got the secondary drive location correct in LT preferences.
What can I do to make the LT media files appear in the browser so that I can use them?

You only need to post a URL to your web site. We can see your code in Browser.
So, your page looks OK to me in Firefox, but when I tried to check it in IE, it choked my browser and closed it.
You have quite a few code validation errors - no document type declaration, etc... Start by fixing these reported errors.

BSP OTRs and MIME Objects do not appear

Dear SDN Members:
I have been facing a very peculiar issue. At first we had problems in our Z* BSP Application with SY-SUBRC values after a
READ TABLE itab INTO wa WITH KEY field1 = var_field1.
If there were no matching record(s) in Internal table, the SY-SUBRC value was still '0' (Zero) and not 4 etc..
Now another problem has cropped up...
At a point in the program (Layout section), there are some HTML lines and OTRs+MIME objects to be executed.
The program executes those lines as visible in debugger, but does not display the same on Internet Explorer screen. The OTRs and .gif files do not appear in this case. A small preview of the code is pasted here below:

Thanks Raja for posting back. The issue is slightly more complex: there are other "src" usages, but they are working fine in other sections of the layout code. The MIME objects have all been stored at right places.
This BSP Application has been in use since 2-3 years. Only while we posed for CRM 3.xx to 4.xx upgrade, we are facing these issues in Quality Testing.
We have tried some 2-3 permutations and combinations for this part of code, but nothing works. Do you think the source path changes in different CRM versions? Or do OTRs face some compatibility issues? Do guide me with them.
The READ table issue is a shocker for us as well!
Ofcourse the work area is empty, as nothing's there to be read! Now we have placed a double check with "work area NOT INITIAL" to override this problem. In fact this is on SAP OSS as Priority 1 issue but no definite solution has been provided till date, except that they were talking of some Kernel patch (...??).
Do let me know if you can think of some reason for this abnormal behavior, as right now everything is "out-of-the-box".

Smart object does not appear at specified time in slide.

Here's my issue: When I insert a speech bubble into the slide, set it to appear after 5.0 seconds and the display for the rest of the slide, it does not appear at the specified time. HOWEVER, if I move the speech bubble to appear at the very START of the slide, then it appears. I thought perhaps I needed to add an effect to make it work, so I selected the thought bubble, then added a "fly in" effect and set the time. It still won't appear at a specified time--only if I put it at the start of the slide.
Here's my question: Why won't the smart object (speech bubble) appear at a specified time, but it WILL appear if I set the "appear after" time to 0 seconds? I also have tried moving this on the timeline, and it still only shows at the start of the slide.

Normal project -- not responsive.
And..I'm not worried. No need for wine. (Although I've never been known to refuse one if someone offers. )

I think there may be a bug in the system, as I have noticed other weird things. (EG: The time indicators under "timeline" often disappear for no reason. I have to close out and re-lauch Captivate to get it back. (Clicking on "timeline" in Windows dropdown does nothing to correct the issue. Other things I've noticed is that the navigation works fine when I play the whole project through ONCE, but upon a second preview, all settings -- such as "jump to slide __" -- do not stick. When I go back in and re-enter all of the navigation slide commands, the same thing happens when I replay it. My client notices the same thing. Bizarre.)

Objects do not appear to deselect

We are having an odd behavior in Illustrator CS4 in our office. Multiple users try to deselect objects by clicking in blank space, but the last object still appears as if it is selected onscreen. When they select another object (without holding SHIFT), it looks as if the old object AND the new object are selected...but when they delete or otherwise manipulate the newly selected object, it only affects that particular object and does not alter the old object that appeared to also be selected. Although the actual functionality is correct, it is extremely distracting and annoying because it looks like they have more objects selected than they actually do...and they can never really tell what's what!
For one user, this happens frequently when selecting objects with clipping masks. For another, it happens when simply using the selection tool on any old object. All users on Mac Leopard 10.5.5. Aside from resetting preferences which I've had one of the users do (he's going to notify me if the behavior continues), any other ideas?

Been seeing this problem for years, since CS4, currently working in CS6.
It happens when you draw a selection box over an object containing a clipping mask and then try to deselect the object by drawing another selection box. That just selects an object inside the clipping mask, but you can't deselect that object by clicking off of it. You have to draw another selection box reselecting everything you just deselected, then click off of it. Or alternately, resize the offending object, hit Cmd+Z and THEN click off of it. I dunno whether this is a feature or bug, but anyhow it's a pain in packaging design where we use a lot of clipping masks.
I love how everyone who has never had this problem tells you to trash your preferences or quit other applications or reinstall something though, you guys are a great help!

Create Object menu not appearing

For a particular group I have given the Create Subportal activity right and even though they can get to the Subportal Manager section they're not getting the Create Object from where they should be able to create subportals. Any ideas?

Your description is a bit vague - but here's something you
can try
If your using Text inside a MovieClip then you need to Embed
the Font.
Select your text and click the Embed button on the Components
Panel - select all the Characters that are likely to appear in your
text. Save and Run - See if there's a difference.
Check your Alpha also you never know.

Info-Object data not appearing in Multiprovider

Guys,
I got a problem here. I have created a multiprovider based on master data and cube. My master data has certain attributes which are not present in the cube. I want to display data for those fields in the multiprovider.
I can see cube data in the multiprovider view but i don't see any data coming from the master data info-object. 0INFOPROV shows only cube name.
Is there something i am missing or any setting that i need to do ?

Hi All,
Multiprovider always has issues when you are trying to link two objects vary in their structure. Lets say if you are creating a multi-provider on a ODS object & Cube or Cube & Info-object. Lets say CHAR X is available in Cube and not in ODS or master data.
Any selection on char X will not fetch you any record from ODS / master data as it is not available in ODS / master data. You need to add the characteristic to ODS / master data and update the same way as you are updating it in the cube. Otherwise don't make any selections based on this characteristic.

ADF-BC/JSF Attributes of reference entity objects do not appear on new rows

Here is something I have been meaning to ask for a long time and never found the time to do so.
Let's suppose that we have two entities named Item and and ItemType and a view object named ItemsList defined like this

              Item.TYPE = ItemType.IDLet's also suppose that using JDeveloper's standard ADF/SF pages, we create a list page and a create page that uses a combo box to allow the user to set the item type which then commits the changes and returns back to to the list page.
I have noticed that new rows created using this method do not display the TYPE_NAME (and all similar) attributes, until the view is executed again. What I usually do in this case is have an Execute binding that fires only when a request scope variable is set from the creating page. This approach works for me but I feel that there must be an easier and "more right" way to achieve the same results.

Update of SU24 Data in RAR - Permission objects does not appear in Funct

Hi All,
We are using SP9 of RAR 5.3. We have developed custom objects for many custom transacitons and hence wanted to update the same in GRC for permission level configuration.
We extracted the latest SU24 text files and uploaded as per the procedure mentioned in the post installation guide. The text files got uploaded successfully and also the full synch of User, role and profile background job was successful.
But still the permission + tab is appearing blank for the custom t-codes without pulling any authorization objects. Due to which we are unable to enable the permission objects to the t-codes.
We have uploaded the SU24 data separately to 2 different physical systems of Dev & Quality. Whereas the rule set is defined for Logical system of Dev & Quality.
Did we missed any step in the process of uploading the text files?
Please advise.

If you have configured RAR to include logical systems you need to generate the rules from the configuration tab, Rule Upload, Generate Rules. Generating rules from the Rule Architect is very inconsistant if you are using logical systems.

OBIEE Objects do not appear when intergrating in ADF

hi,
I am trying to embed OBIEE components (analysis, dashboards etc) into ADF pages.
The BI Presentation Service Connection is build up successfully, and I can enumerate the BI Presentation Catalog.
However, after I drag&drop a OBIEE component into my JSPX page, I run the file but the OBIEE component do not show up in the page. (Other page components are fine,such as lables and buttoms)
No error is reported by Jdeveloper.
My environment:
Jdev 11.1.1.5.0
OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2

Desperating for any suggestion!!!!!
When I drag&drop the BI component, the Jdev log gets the following error:

10.1.3.1.0 : Nested View Object sould not appear in Data Control Palette

Hello,
I have a strange behavior in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.
I have two View Objects, a parent and a child, that are linked by a View Link.
Although my Application Module instanciates only the parent View Object, I can still see the child View Object in the Data Control Palette.
I've checked in JDev 10.1.3 SU5 and this behavior doesn't occur.
Is this a bug ?

I tried to reproduce but cannot. I created a m/d ViewObject that are linked by a ViewLink. I removed the detail from the master tree in the AppModule configuration so that only the master instance is left. Opening the DataControl palette, I only see the master view.
Is the project one that you upgraded from 10.1.3.0? If yes, please try and reproduce in a new workspace

Timed objects not appearing

Captivate 7 (Windows 8) - I have added a number of images and smart shapes to slides and changed the timing so that they appear at different places in the slide. Some have limited duration and some last till the end of the slide. Everything works fine when I preview the slide (F3). However, when I preview any other way (5 slides, from this slide, project, in browser) or publish, then those objects do not appear on the slide.
I am able to add highlight boxes OK and change the timing, but not smart shapes or images. If the timing is anything other than the full duration, then they do not appear.
I have checked the objects to ensure they are visible, I have cleared my Captivate Cache, I have duplicated the affected slides.
Any ideas?

What Vikram is hinting at I believe is that your image button is pausing the slide before your other objects appear.
F3 is not a publish preview. It just plays the timeline in Edit mode but interactive objects do not pause the timeline in that mode. When you actually publish for real, at run-time these objects will pause the timeline, which is probably causing you to not see objects that would be added to the screen AFTER the image button's pause point.

Graphical Glitches: Objects appear not selected when they are, Symbols not appearing correctly

I've been having a ton of graphical glitches with Adobe Flash CS6 and I can't for the life of me figure out for the life of me.
Things that happen:
Objects will not appear selected when using the Free Transform Tool.
Symbols don't appar in scene when pasted, or dragged in until I leave the scene or symbol im in. They show up in the preview window though.
Something else I've been noticing is that when I use the Pen tool my computer or speakers or something making this werid noise and it only happens when I'm using the Pen tool.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No one has had these issues? I just got another one. My timeline disappeared, I don't mean the menu hid or thats it not there. It's there its just not actually displaying the Timeline or at least it didn't till I wen't back a few changes for some reason. It was still there though as I could click the eye and lock and the layers (which ones I have no idea) it was all grey. Also again the selection area doesn't show up, all movements of symbols are slow to update their postitions and when I turn on outlines it does nothing.
Also everytime I close Flash I get an error from windows, no idea why.

I recently downloaded Keynote 3.0 and successfully converted a MS Powerpoint file to Keynote. However, some of the objects are not appearing on my build list. Furthermore, when I try to edit the slide with "new" text, etc they still are not on the build list.
I have tried Web searches and downloaded the manual without resolution of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
