Timeline Web Part is unable to load

Hi All,
Recently i am facing one issue in PWA. In my project server environment one "web part is unable load" after searching more i came to know its timeline web part.
Below is the screen shot.
Can anyone please help me in this??

Hi Abbas, did you check out the ULS logs in order to have more details about the error? It could help to know if it is a permission issue or if the webpart is corrupted. Also try to connect from another machine and with another account.
Cheers.

  • Error "This web part was unable to load"

    Hi!
    I'm designing workflow in Sharepoint designer 2013 for Project Server. I have 3 stages. In second stage I have "start a task process (task outcome to variable: outcome)" and in "transition to stage" I have:
    If variable: outcome equalls approved
      go to third stage
    else
      go to first stage
    I receive a new task and I click "rejected". Then I refresh this page "Project Detail Pages - Workflow Stage Status" and I get this error:
    Workflow Status
    This Web Part was unable to load.
    Information that may be useful in solving this problem was written to the Unified Logging Service (ULS) log on the Project Web App with the following ID: c2780c9c-323c-20cd-dc2e-02cf3e2bd3d3
    For more information, contact your Project Web App administrator.
    How do I solve this? Workflow goes back to first stage and everything else seems to work (In my first stage I have wait for project submit and if I click submit, workflow goes to second stage and that web part reloads fine).
    Best regards
    Parkelj

    I found a way to handle this issue. Webpart is not able to capture the movement to the last stage in the same phase. You can easily move back to a stage in the other Phase. e.g.,
    Phase 2: Stage 2 -> Phase 2: Stage 1    (Issue)
    Phase 2: Stage 2 -> Phase 1: Any Stage ()
    You can add a new stage in previous phase and in the Transition to Stage segment put a Go to Stage action to your desired stage.
    The flow will be
    Phase 2: Stage 2 -> Phase 1: Transition Stage -> Phase 2: Stage 1
    By doing this the Workflow status will work fine but the only trade off will be an additional Phase movement will be displayed in the workflow visualization (marked in red in the below image).
    I hope it will help you guys.

  • Timesheet error (Only for one user on one task): This Web Part was unable to load

    Hi,
    We have a weird problem with Project server 2013.
    We are on the latest March CU 2015 update on MS Project and Project server.
    Problem:
    A resource(user) is being assigned to a task. When opening the Project with the MS Project client, you can see that the resource is effectively assigned.->OK
    The real problem is when the user goes to his timesheets. He don’t see this task anymore. Other users that are assigned to the same task can see this task in the Timesheets and can open it.
    When the user go back to a timesheet on a period where the task was working and visible, and he open that timesheets, he get an error: “This Web Part was unable to load”

    Hi Johan,
    The assignment of this user on the given task might be corrupted. Try to remove the resource from the task, publish the project, assign the resource again and publish again the project. If it is not working, try to unpublish the task (column "publish")
    and publih it again.

  • ProjectCenter Webpart on another Site Collection "This Web Part was unable to load"

    Hi,
    Project Server 2013 on an url like http://domain.tld/pwa
    Trying to use the Project Center Web Part from another site collection, let's say http://domain.tld/sites/siteA
    I get the "This Web Part was unable to load" error and in the ULS I get Object Reference not set to an instance of an object classic error
    What am i doing wrong?
    Thanks!

    Thank you for the thoughts Michael but none of those worked for me.
    What I have done so far is I have added the PWA features to the site which is what has made it work when logged in under the farm account.
    So I have 3 account I am testing with
    1.) regular account with read only permissions to the Publishing page
    2.) Admin account that is in a group that is a site administrator to ALL sites
    3.) Farm account
    Currently it works for the Farm account and the Admin account but not the regular account.  I have added the regular account to the same group as the Admin account and will test when the change updates to see if I can access the information.  This
    will at least let me know that it is a Permissions issue which is what I think it is I just cant figure out which permission it would need to be.

  • This Web Part was unable to load

    The issue described here is happening to me trying to load timesheet webpart
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2249896/es
    the kb says that you need to set NULL to the PWAURL property, but the PWA instance has no "PWAURL" property when I call AllProperties method.
    Many thanks

    Hi Andres,
    Which version on Project Server and IE are you using? It could be a IE support issue.

    Not sure if this helps as I have CRSXIR2 not BOE (though the web parts are probably the same thing). I had to edit the web.config for the MOSS web application to pass through the relevant credentials, but it seems only able to pass a userid - the password must be blank so I also had to create a user on CRS with no password. I expect it depends what type of authentication you need to use for BOE.

  • Some web pages are unable to load

    hello there,i notice that my mac mini are unable to load some web page that build-in with msxml.i found that all my web brower are unable to load them(firefox/safari/IE for mac),but i can load them in my window XP PC,i think the problem is my XP have installed msxml but my mac,is it possible to view those web pages with safari/mac?
    example to those web:http://spbo.com/live.htm
    mini   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Welcome to the discussions!
    It is slower in a measureable sense, or just a "seat of the pants" feeling?
    Go to PC Pitstop and run their test. If you are getting the bandwidth that you are paying for, then it is an issue with your broswer.
    I do not like Safari. It is slower than Camino, especially in conjunction with CamiTools. Safari is a memory hog and grabs CPU cycles like nobody's business. I have never had any issues with either Camino or Firefox. Either are much better than Safari, IMO.
    If you miss the look of Safari, there are skins and even a great RSS reader that can be added to Firefox called Sage. It offers better RSS integration than Safari IMO.
    In my experience, Macs just render pages slower than PCs due to poor coding or IE specific coding that lazy web authors. Safari is one of the most standards compliant browsers out there, but if the pages are coded poorly or browser specific, then there is nothing that Safari can do about it.
    You can take a look at some settings, but let us know what speeds you are paying for from your ISP and compare those to the actual speeds. Then we can talk about possible solutions.

  • Status list web part indicators keeps on loading

    Hi,
    When I am using more than 1 status list web part on a page, only the first one loads completly.
    Rest are in loading status.
    Please assist.

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the status list web parts in your page only load completely for the first one.
    I made a test in my SharePoint 2013 environment, and the status list web part can all load properly in the page.
    Did your environment install the latest CU updates ?
    I suggest you can install the latest CU updates and test if it works.

  • Project Details Web Part Unable To Load

    We have recently migrated a customer's Project Server 2007 instance to Project Server 2013. While opening some of the projects in PWA to edit the project custom fields, we encountered an error "This Web Part was unable to load.". Further investigation
    found that it was due to some non-mandatory custom fields having lookup tables and graphical indicators, but were entered as blank. We did not have any problems in Project Server 2007. Is there any solution for this?

    Hi,
    Try to update web from following after migration you need to perform below for web part
    $Web = get-SPWeb $Web.AllProperties | Format-Table
    $Web.AllProperties[“PWAURL”]=””
    $Web.Update()
    $Web = get-SPWeb
    $Web.AllProperties | Format-Table
    $Web.AllProperties[“PWAURL”]=””
    $Web.Update()
    also from you last reply i understood that after removing custom field which are having graphical indicator and look up PDP is working as expected. It means look up and graphical indicator is creating issues.
    For Custom field which are having look up field if no value will be selected then it may give error its a expected behavior. It means you need to fill values in those custom field else you will face issue.

  • Workflow Status page - web part unable to load

    Has anyone seen "the web part was unable to load" in the workflow status page? Only some users are seeing this error but it's not consistent. What we noticed is that this error occurs only after transitioning from our Select to Manage Phase in

  • SharePoint 2013 RSS Viewer not loading when other Custom web part using Update Panel or Ajax Timer control

    Hi,
    SharePoint 2013 RSS
    Viewer web part failing to complete loading when the page loads.
    This happens when having RSS Viewer and then adding a Custom webpart with an updatepanel and timer control.
    I  had used Ajax update panel and timer control to load the web part asynchronously after the main page is fully loaded.
    The RSS-Viewer web part hangs in loading state while the custom webpart loads just fine.
    The issue occurs when an like button click or Timer Tick event fires after the page
    is loaded.
    Haven't been able to track the issue.
    Couple of workaround I tried to call a server side button click event from the custom web part after the page gets fully loaded using JQuery shown below did not work out either.
     $(document).ready(function () {
                $('#<%= netButton2.ClientID %>').click();
    And
    document.onreadystatechange = function () {
                if (document.readyState == "complete") {
                    $('#<%= netButton2.ClientID %>').click();
    Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

  • XSLT List View Web Part Error when Using Group By

    I have a Tasks List created a tasks list in SharePoint.  The Tasks (normal OOTB template) list works fine in the normal view, however, I have created an XSLT ListView Web Part that points to this tasks list.  When I set the web part to display
    a view with a "Group By" rule, it returns an error:
    "Attempted to use an object that has ceased to exist. (Exception from HRESULT:
    0x80030102 (STG_E_REVERTED))
    The list has just over 1000 items and the threshold is set to 5000, I have tried indexing the column that I am "grouping by" just in case and that has not worked.
    Has anyone experienced this issue before?  If so, what steps can be done to display the XSLT List View Web Part properly?

    Thank you for the response.  I tried the above link and it didn't seem to solve the issue; in fact, when I clicked on Common Control Tasks there wasn't any Data View Tasks such Filter and Sort & Group.
    Perhaps some more information would shed light on a solution. I created a list template including content of the task list in question. I  was able to display the new list in an XSLT List View Web part with grouping enabled.  However, I noticed that
    the "Related Content" column was completely empty (it was there, it just had no data in each row).  What is the source of this Related Content? I know it is a system column that appears when Workflows generate the item in the list but could it be the
    reason for the Web part being unable to display with groupings?

  • Configuring Web Parts dynamically from a shared definition?

    We are building a large set of pages for our Intranet with (nearly) identical web parts (these are actually search results and refiner WPs with fixed queries, but the details aren't really relevant)  Only a few of the WP properties will vary across
    pages, the rest should be the same for consistency. Creating and maintaining these page WP configurations manually is going to be a lot of effort -- we could use custom web part definitions to provide some level of reuse, but that only helps with the initial
    setup; if (when!) we need to make changes to the WP config, we will still have to change each one individually.
    So what I'd like to do is find a way to centralize the configuration for all of the related web parts,
    and make it dynamic, i.e. the web parts should get property definitions at load time, vs coming from the personalization store. That way if we need to update a web part property, we need change it only once, rather than for every individual
    web part.
    I'm thinking about leveraging the existing web part gallery for the location of the shared configuration, as it seems like a reasonable place to capture definitions. What I'm not sure about is how/where to use it.
    One thought is to create a custom, generic "wrapper" web part class whose only configuration is a path to a .webpart/.dwp file in the site WP gallery. When the wrapper WP is loaded, it in turn creates a child web part (transient, not persisted)
    on the fly using the web part definition. The complexity comes with the requirement to override the common, shared properties for any given WP instance. Not sure how to allow a page author to specify these overrides in a general way.
    Another possibility is hooking into the web part persistence mechanism, hacking the Load operation to pull certain properties from the central config vs the stored WP instance definition.
    Has anyone come across something like this? Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi PeterHalverson,
    I may not understand the case correct, if it is the default search result page with search web part, refiner web parts, you can use search center, to make sure the site use the same result page, doesn’t need to use large set of pages with the same web part
    structure.
    If this is actually needed, and you need to change all the web part intances’ property in all pages when you update the property for the web part in one page, you may considering customize the web part, on the page load event, check the web part property
    changes, if it is changed, then iterate all the web part instance on the web part, to update the web parts’ property.
    The following is a sample about iterate the current web to get relative web parts:

  • RSS Viewer Web part not working after installing kb2767793

    Hi,
    I just patched our sharepoint farm with kb2767793 - after installing this CU the RSS Web part is no longer loading as expected on our pages, it just keeps trying to load forever.
    If I choose to edit the page the RSS feed loads with no issues when in edit mode. When going back to published view I experience the same issue.
    The symptom is only present if the page contains more web parts eg Content Query Web part. If I create a page with only the RSS viewer web part it functions as expected.
    Has anyone experienced this or has any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Luke

    We have the same issue after installing the April security updates.
    I opened a support case with Microsoft and they proposed these using one of these solutions (see below).
    Unfortunately these did not work for us.
    Summary
     Page Level: add a CEWP to the page and add the following custom script to it:
    Save the following JavaScript to a .txt file and upload the file to any document library in the root of the site.
    <Script Type="text/javascript">
    function CustomUpdateFormDigest()
    if(window._spPageContextInfo != null)
    var $v_2 = window._spPageContextInfo;
    var $v_3 = $v_2.webServerRelativeUrl;
    var $v_4 = window._spFormDigestRefreshInterval;
    UpdateFormDigest($v_3, $v_4);
    CustomUpdateFormDigest();
    </Script>
    Adding the above script to the Master Page
    3)     Web Application Level:
    Turn off Security Validation for the pages from Central Admin -> Web Application -> General Settings.
