Timezone data returned by Java SDk is not defined anywhere?

The old Java WSDL classes returned the timezone values as defined here:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/bing-ads-time-zones.aspx
However, the new Java SDK is returning different values. For example, it returns:
GREENWICH_MEAN_TIME_DUBLIN_EDINBURGH_LISBON_LONDON
instead of
GreenwichMeanTimeDublinEdinburghLisbonLondon
Is this changing across the board?

We use 'wsimport' to generate proxies for the Bing Ads Java SDK, and you can find details
here on GitHub. The UPPER_CASE_UNDERSCORE pattern you see is generated by default by wsimport for all value sets e.g. TimeZoneType in the Customer Management service and BudgetLimitType
in the Campaign Management service. Using an IDE such as Eclipse, the possible values should be available through intellisense.
The values you see documented are accepted by the service when a string is expected (not value set). For example when adding a campaign you would set the time zone with one of the CamelCase values you see documented
here on MSDN.
Campaign campaign = new Campaign();
campaign.setName("Winter Clothing " + System.currentTimeMillis());
campaign.setDescription("Winter clothing line.");
campaign.setBudgetType(BudgetLimitType.MONTHLY_BUDGET_SPEND_UNTIL_DEPLETED);
campaign.setMonthlyBudget(1000.00);
campaign.setTimeZone("PacificTimeUSCanadaTijuana");
campaign.setDaylightSaving(true);
I hope this helps!

    Hello,
    The storage type in which you want to place the material or pick the material from has not been defined in the storage type search sequence.
    You need to define the search sequence in customization so that storage type is determined automatically when the transfer order is created;
    SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Warehouse Management>>Strategies>>Activate Storage Type Search
    In this go to determine search sequence and then
    for warehouse number W10, operation as stock removal 'A' and in this maintained the relevant the storage type (10E) so that it is determined automatically.
    I hope this helps.

  • Data for storage type search is not defined (E FC1  ) in WM module

    Hi friends,
    I m working in Ware house management.I have created material document and using the matertial document number in LT06.
    I am getting the following error while creating transfer order for material document in T-code LT06.
    Data for storage type search is not defined (E FC1  )
    Message no. L3007
    Diagnosis
    Information on the storage type search has not been defined.
    Procedure
    Contact your system administrator. Note down the values that are within parentheses in the error message.
    Please advise me how to solve this error.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    William

    SAP does not know where to put the material.
    You usually enable SAP by defining storage type indicators, that you maintain at the putaway and picking indicator fields in material master.
    then you setup the storage type search based on this indicators.
    SAP can then know in which storage type it shall search for a space to store your material.
    As a first step check whether you missed to enter this indicator in your matrial master WM view

  • Webi document prompts order from Java SDK does not refresh correctly?

    Hi
    I'm developping a standalone command-line Java program which will schedule a report with custom prompt values.
    I am having a problem with Webi prompts ordering acquired from the SDK.
    We are running BO XI R2 SP4 under Windows on Tomcat servers.
    Here is the problem:
    I have a Webi report called "Articles Racines" in a "Tests SDK" directory.
    This report uses two prompts named "Type Article :" and "Code Marque :" (in this order).
    Java SDK (code below) returns the right prompts in the right order.
    Now, in Infoview, I modify the report in order to change the order of the prompts (in the "Properties" tab) making "Code Marque :" the first and "Type Article :" the second one and save the changes.
    When I run the report, prompt order has changed but the prompts retrieved from the Java SDK are still in the old order.
    I noticed that if I update the name of both prompts, the prompts retrieved from the SDK now are in the right order (with the updated names).
    Am I doing something wrong? Is it a known issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Guillaume
    PS : I am aware that "select *" are very bad but I am still in research stage of developpment.

    Here's the reason why:
    Web Intelligence document prompting is handled properly if you open the doc using the ReportEngine Java (REBean) SDK.
    When you set prompts and schedule, you'd first open the doc using REBean, set the prompts, then copy over the prompt values you've set to the IWebi you're scheduling using the PromptsUtil.populateWebiPrompts(...,...) helper method.
    So the InfoObject IWebi doesn't know about the actual ordering of the prompts in the document itself - it's just receiving the prompts in order as it's fed from PromptsUtil.
    It's not recommended to assume that the IWebi.getPrompts() will return a non-empty collection.  The Web Intellligence document must be first opened in ReportEngine and the prompting values set using PromptsUtil to fill the collection.

  • BW Hierarachies in Web Dynpro either using BI java SDK or Not

    Hello,
    I am working on a requirement to develop a web dynpro Tree for a BW Hierarchy. On This requirement I have following Questions.
    1. How can I retrieve Nodes/Hierarchies from BW Hierarchy into the query? Is it Query , Cube or RFC?.
    2. What is the standard way to retrieve the Hierarchy onto Web Dynpro?.
    I appreciate if somebody can help on this problem.
    Thanks,
    Raj Peddisetty.

    Raj,
    we used the following delivered function modules to read, add and delete the nodes:
    --ZRSBB_NODES_READ_WITH_FILTER
    --BX_FAVOS_ADD_OTHERS
    --BX_FAVOS_DELETE_NODE
    We created some wrapper function modules to call these above delivered fm's.
    Hope this helps.

  • Scheduling webi reports via Java SDK in BI 4.1

    Hi,
    Has anyone been able to schedule a Webi report containing date prompts via Java SDK in BI 4.1? I have tried doing so but it doesn't work when date prompts are involved, I get the exception raised: java.lang.NullPointerException error. Though the scheduled instance is created and the date prompt appears to be correctly populated the report fails with the above mentioned error message. The code is working for other text prompts but fails when I have a date prompt in the report. I am using the populateWebiPrompts() method to populate the prompts.
    CF

    Hi Christopher,
    Try adding the following line in your code before scheduling:
    iWebi.setUserInputLocaleName(documentInstance.getProperties().getProperty(PropertiesType.BASE_LOCALE));
    Also as an FYI, please refer below details.
    For scheduling webi reports with prompts, the only supported way is to use Restful webservices SDKs.
    The feature of scheduling a webi report with prompts were deprected from release BI 4.x and introduced in the new restfull webservices. Restful is the future which SAP is focussing and would be great to have your application on supported terms with SAP.
    You can get details about the restful webservices from the documents and blogs available at below forum
    http://scn.sap.com/community/restful-sdk

    how to resolve this error, and why this error is coming?
    I am migrating the MI 2.5 application into the MI 7.1 application.In new MI 7.1 application some synbo's are imported using the text file and some new data objects are created. Imported synbo's are activated successfully, but newly created objects are not activated because of the above error.
    Can we solve above error or is there any restriction that in Migration project ( project with backward compatibility ) we can't create new Data objects?

  • Why SDK and not just JRE

    Hi,
    I am amazed that for just running a Java application one needs the Java SDK and not the runtime environment only.
    Has Oracle got shares with hard disk manufacturers ?
    Regards

    The reason to require a JDK or our bundled jre+tools.jar is for the plsql debugger. The debugger use the jdi apis which are not included in the stock jre. If you never intend on using the plsql debugger you can use a jre and everything else will run just fine.

  • Install NW Developer Studio. Error:SDK Folder not found!?

    Hi All,
    I installed Java EE5 SDK(with JDK) and now want to install NW Developer Studio 2.0. The wizard ask for the Java SDK folder path and when I enter it gives an error message "JAVA SDK folder not found".
    I used this "path C:\Program Files\Java\Sun\SDK"
    Can anyone help ?
    Best Regards,
    Kushi

    Hi Kushi,
    NWDS 2.0 is released with SAP NetWeaver 2004 which runs on JDK 1.4. Another reason for this issue might be the space in the path "C:\Program Files\Java\Sun\SDK".
    Please install JDK 1.4 into a path without spaces and try again.
    Hope it helps!
    -Vladimir
    PS. Your question does not seem related to the Java EE 5 Edition of SAP NetWeaver, so I'm moving this thread to the NetWeaver AS Java forum.

  • Error "Item is not defined as an Inventory Item" using oInventoryGenEntry

    I am trying to create a Receipt from Production with this code:
                    receive = (Documents)_Company.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oInventoryGenEntry);
                    receiveLine = receive.Lines;
                            receiveLine.BaseType = 202;
                            receiveLine.BaseEntry = oli.ProductionOrderNumber;
                            receiveLine.BaseLine = 0;
                            receiveLine.Quantity = oli.Quantity;
                            receiveLine.WarehouseCode = "01";
                    int errorCode = receive.Add();
    where the production order will contain several component items that make up a finished good.  Two of the component items are Labor and Royalties and are not marked as Inventory Items.
    The Add method returns this error:
    "Item is not defined as an Inventory Item" and references one the non-inventory items (ie 'Labor').
    I can received the same Production Order through SBO without an error.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

    Because I am concerned about eliminating Labor from the Bill Of Material and its effect on the 'Acutal Product Cost' when I create a Production Order I set up a test.
    I created two Finished Goods Inventory Items with similar Bills of Material.  Both included a Labor component (non-inventory item).  The difference though, is one Labor component has an Item Type of Labor and the other Labor component has an Item Type of  'Items'
    Next, I create a Work order for each of the finished items.  Then I did a receipt from Production and closed the Work Orders.
    Looking at the Production Order summary, the Finished Good had an 'Actual Additional Cost' that was non-zero for the Finished Good that had a Labor component of the 'Items'; the other Finshed Good had a zero 'Actual Additional Cost'.  These seems in conflict with the eLearning segment on Production.
    At this point is this a different Forum?

    How can I fix it? Thanks

    Hi Abhishek / Durgesh ,
    Thank you for your valuable suggestions
    We checked back for all points that you guys suggested
    1:  I coudn't find planning method attribute at plan options >> main tab
    2: Parent item is not a buy item and all the components are active.
    3: For Components: WIP supply Type is not Phantom
    4: Sourcing Tab for the parent Item is as expected (i.e. Source organization is populated with appropriate value)
    5: Actually, We have re-tested a different scenario where Work Order was not created through custom program. We created a new sales order and ran collections+Plan. Still no Planned Orders for components

  • How to create a report with data using the Crystal Reports for Java SDK

    Hi,
    How do I create a report with data that can be displayed via the Crystal Report for Java SDK and the Viewers API?
    I am writing my own report designer, and would like to use the Crystal Runtime Engine to display my report in DHTML, PDF, and Excel formats.  I can create my own report through the following code snippet:
    ReportClientDocument boReportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
    boReportClientDocument.newDocument();
    However, I cannot find a way to add data elements to the report without specifying an RPT file.  Is this possible?  I seems like it is since the Eclipse Plug In allows you to specify your database parameters when creating an RPT file.
    is there a way to do this through these packages?

    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.definition

  • How do I return a java.sql.Timestamp data type in a Web service?

    I'm new to workshop and java. I'm creating a mini application to simulate a real work Web Service (development environment is on an intranet). I was able to completely simulate the Web Services minus all date values.
    I'm using a standard weblogic workshop database controls that are feeding the various WebServices and their methods (Web services was generated from DB control). I get a java type not support error when I attempt to return a java.sql.Timestamp. I temporarily got around the problem by omitting all dates from the sql.
    However, we are at the point where we need the complete record.
    My two questions
    1) What java data type do I convert the java.sql.Timestamp to
    2) Where and how do I do it in workshop.
    Thanks in advance
    Derrick
    Source view from workshop looks something like this.
    public interface MyData extends DatabaseControl, com.bea.control.ControlExtension
    static public class dbOverallRec
    public String key;
    public String field1;
    public int field2;
    public java.sql.Timestamp create_date
    public dbOverallRec () {};
    *@jc:sq; rowset-name="OverallRowSet" statement::
    *select key, field1, field2 ,create_date from overall where key={KEY}::
    dbOverallRec getOverallByKey(String Key);
    * I had to omit the create_date to get it to work

    You should try changing java.sql.Timestamp to java.util.Calendar.
    java.util.Calendar maps to the dateTime type in XML Schema, and TIMESTAMP as a JDBC type.

          IBIOlap olap = connection.getOlap();
          Cube cube = olap.getObjectFinder().
          findCubeFirst((String)null, "ZFI_C11/ZFI_C11_Q001");
        // This is just a sanity check to verify that the
        // cube on which this example relies was retrieved
        if (cube==null){
            System.out.println("no cube found");
    // Didn't print out this message, seems it can connect to BW and get the InfoCube and Query.
        Dimension plantDimension = olap.getObjectFinder().
        findDimensionFirst(cube, "ZPLANT");
      Dimension materialDimension = olap.getObjectFinder().
        findDimensionFirst(cube, "ZMATERIAL");
      IBIQuery query = olap.createQuery(cube);
      IBICommandProcessor commandProcessor = query.getCommandProcessor();
      commandProcessor.moveDimensionToRows(plantDimension);
      commandProcessor.moveDimensionToRows(materialDimension);
      IBIDataSet dataset = query.execute(); // After execute this statement, error happens.
    Thank you!
    Andy

    Solved myself, it's because the query used in my code have user input variable.
