/TIP/ IE7,IE8 UI Performance

My Env: Platform Oracle Linux
OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0
Client : Windows XP, IE8
If there are many analyses on one dashboard, In IE7,IE8 there are some hang mouse scroll up & down.
In My Env, We use many agent ( mail attached mht file), Bi Users complained too heavy mht file to open.
I have struggle to fix this problem for several days.
Finally today i found what cause it.
It was cell background images, especially below css items.
PTRHC, PTCHC
So delete PTRHC0~ PTRHC10 and PTCHC0~PTCHC10's below properties on views.css.
======================
background-image;url(../viewui/pivot/ptgrd_ovrly.png);background-repeat:repeat-x;background-position:bottom;
======================
In my case, it give us big performance gain.
When i delete PTHT's same css properties, it make a strange view(no right and bottom line and no alternative column colour...)
It make PTLC properties not work.
I don't know why , if somebody know that, please reply .
That's my small tip.
Thks.

You have used elements like header, footer, footer1 and nav without using the correct DOCTYPE declaration. Replace the first line of your code with
<!doctype html>
Also have a look here for other problems http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fhome.surewest.net%2Fstorytales%2F test%2Fforposting.html
After the above has been fixed, please come back here to fix the remaining problem(s)

  • Images are cutted and youtube-videos are breaking down in ie7, ie8

    hi muse-experts,
have the problem, that some images are cutted in ie7, ie8. the side is now working on businesscatalyst and another server.
    images are cutted here on bc: http://trabbitour.businesscatalyst.com/angebote.html , http://trabbitour.businesscatalyst.com/ostalgisches.html , http://trabbitour.businesscatalyst.com/deine-trabbitour.html
    the same on the other server: http://trabbitour.de/angebote.html , http://trabbitour.de/ostalgisches.html , http://trabbitour.de/deine-trabbitour.html
the videos are breaking down, by starting to scroll the side: http://trabbitour.businesscatalyst.com/trab(b)i-was-is-n-das.html
for ie adaption I inserted on all pages between html and head this line: <!— switch IE 7,8,9,10 to quirks mode —> but with or without this, the error is the same.
maybe you have an idea, what I can do and what the problem is?
    thank you.

It's very difficult to say without knowing more about your system. There are a number of possibilities. First, your 13" lacks a discrete GPU, so the CPU is doing the work that a GPU would have done as far as decoding video streams, etc. Each video stream will consume considerable resources from the machine, and if you have multiple things running with video streams being decoded (for example, a browser with video Flash or cumbersome animation and iMovie running at the same time), then that may be a factor.
Additionally, it could be that you are memory constrained. You didn't post a picture of the process list from activity monitor or the memory usage stats, but you probably want to look and see what the memory and CPU usage is and who's consuming what. Some applications are pretty inefficient. For example, if you have iPhoto open and have thousands of images, the indexed metadata and thumbnails are all stored in RAM. iMovie pulls in clip thumbnail sets - (and worse, it has to do on-the-fly transcoding video assets from some cameras that don't encode the video using the parameters it expects to make indexing frames easier). Again, this would show up as periodic spikes in CPU activity for the app.
You seem to have plenty of disk space, that's not likely to be a problem.
Check if Time Machine is running. Time Machine introduces a performance impact, but it's exacerbated by the presence of frequently changed large files (e.g., you don't want Time Machine backing up your video projects while you are working on them).
Lastly, you may consider checking the console for error messages. This might reveal background processes that might be bogging down the system, or things like filesystem/disk errors. If there are errors in the filesystem, when you access certain portions of the disk, the OS and applications can slow down or lock-up as a result.

  • Problem with Flash Player in IE7 / IE8

    I'm stumped.
    I've got a problem running Flash content in IE7 / IE8. I had
Adobe Master Suite CS3 installed on my laptop, and had no issues
running Flash content in any browser including IE7 when this was
installed. I've recently un-installed it and can no longer run
Flash content in IE7. I've tried re-installing Adobe Flash Player
from the Adobe website and, whilst the browser window is open, I
can run Flash contect with no issues. However, when IE7 is closed
and then re-opened, it stops running Flash content again. No errors
are experienced, just a black space or a "you must have flash
installed to view this content" message where the Flash content
should be. If I re-install again, I can view the content until I
close IE7. I've tried upgrading to IE8 but I'm getting the same
    problem.
I have FireFox 3, Opera and Google Chrome installed also, and
have no issues playing Flash content in these browsers.
    Please help!

    All sorted now...
Removed Flash Player and its ActiveX control. Completely
reset IE8. Re-installed Flash Player 9. Now working.
Should have done this hours ago!

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 Fix for WinXP and Vista, IE7, IE8, Firefox, ect.(New Fast Fix)

(This is a possible solution for most users) I have found that inside the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash (WinXP Home/Pro) (Computer > C: Drive > Windows > System32 > Macromed > Flash for Vista) there should be a file named FlashUtil10b.exe (IF NOT YOU SHOULD UPDATE AS SPECIFIED!) (or FlashUtil10a.exe or for older versions something similar depending on your version), which is the update utility for flash player. Click on this and if it updates, you will have to restart your computer. This should fix any missing files, and update you to the latest version.
On a side note to all those who read this, I downloaded and installed 5 different times, the same version, from different websites, all for the "new" flash version, and they didn't work (this also included trying to update Shockwave player itself). Apparently, going directly to the website and downloading a new version of Adobe Flash Player, and installing, doesn't uninstall the older version, (though it says it does nor does the uninstaller work directly from the website) nor fixes the problem. I assume they are aware of this problem, because they included this bug fix in revision 10b. This fix should work for those of you whom cannot view/see flash images as well. There also appears to be a bug/reference problem with the installation of IE8 giving the error "Missing Shockwave Decompression XTRA", when trying to play a Shockwave/Flash file, which seems also to affect Firefox and other browsers. It doesn't recognize that the folder or files that it needs in it, exist. I never had his problem before, until IE8 was installed. I checked which version I had in the system32 folder and found this updater built in to Adobe. Version 10a does NOT automatically update, but version 10b includes this fix. I currently had version 10a when I received this error, and began digging for a solution. Doing the update as described above fixed the problem, and updated it to version 10b.
The new flash version 10b has some new features, such as volume control, auto-updating, and several rendering options for those who may have a faster or slower computer/video card.
I found this works great for XP users but unsure of the Vista users. The process is the same  for Vista and the update should still work the same, as long as you run it as Administrator, I assume. I have this also posted on wwwdslreports.com at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22115254-IE-IE8-and-Adobe-Flash-Question and here http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22361930-Adobe-Flash-Player-10-Fix-for-WinXP-IE 8-Firefox-ect. It appears to work for everyone so far. I have not heard of any problems from users with this problem running the RC (Release Canidate) for Windows 7 yet.
I hope this works to your benefit.
Please leave a reply to help Adobe and other users know if this fix worked for you or not. If not, please explain what you did, and the effects your seeing, including operating system, site of the flash file trying to view, browser type (ex. IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Opera, ect.), and I will try to help you as best I can.
(I would strongly recommend those not using IE8, or Firefox 3.5, get the updated versions)
If your looking for uninstallers go to this site: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
If your looking for a true full install, you can download this developer version for Windows and Mac: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/10/flash_player_update2_flash10.zi p (44MB) (If you download this, I would recommend you still follow my instructions for the Flash Utility before restarting your computer.)

I would recommend all users having problems try the above solution first.
I have posted this on a couple of websites, and so far it has fixed everyones problems.
Firefox 3.5 Beta 4 has Adobe Flash Player coding built into the browser so that it not only loads faster but works better.
You still need to have the Adobe ActiveX plug-in and Adobe Flash Player for both browsers.
I would also recommend you download Shockwave Player 11.
IE8 has tried this as well, but it still has a couple bugs in it.
If you have IE8 or FireFox 3.5 Beta 4, and you are still having problems, then I recommend that you go to www.windowsupdate.com and get all of the latest updates (including SP3), then try this fix again.
Your auto-updater built into windows (If you even have it on) doesn't always pull down every update available for your computer. It only pulls down the manditory ones.
Sometimes you HAVE to go to the website and manually get them yourself. I recommend when you go to the website, you click on custom install and pick every last one of them to install, which includes, hardware and software fixes for your computer.
What a lot of people don't know is that when you have installed and tried all of the recommended fixes that Adobe gives you, and it still doesn't work, is that you are having registry conflicts within your Operating System (OS ex. WinXP, Vista, Linux, ect.), and that it is not the Adobe software at all.
Those are usually repaired by making sure your computer stays up to date.
The fact is the computer world is changing so rapidly that everyone can't keep up. You have to check for updates weekly.
If you fall behind on those updates, then you start having problems with your computer and/or software.
One problem then can turn into many and people get frustrated when something all the sudden just quits working.
Take a day or two at least once a month, and make sure you update and maintain your computer.
This includes disk defragmenting, disk cleanup, and making sure you have all the lastest updates.
You can get to Disk Defrag, and Disk Cleanup by going to Start, All Programs, Accessories, then to System Tools.
I would do Disk Cleanup first, then Defrag.
I hope you take this advise into consideration, and that it is very helpful for you.
If you find this useful, please come back and reply to this forum, and let everyone know so that others will be encouraged to do this.
Thanks and goodluck, from another user like you.

  • Flash Player 10.1 crashes with IE7, IE8 & FF3.6.6

Hello!  First I'd like to say you all are providing excellent information and help here.  I've read some answers and am very impressed with the time you take to help Adobe product users.  Maybe you can help me too! *hopes*
I have read a couple of the threads to see what I need to provide here.  I hope I give all the needed information.  First of all, I sound kind of like the user 'Carol' who uses Farmville/Facebook and updated to Internet Explorer 8, Flash Player 10.1 and there was another program she mentioned.  Anyway, my problem is similar except FP 10.1 crashes while using FF3.6.6, IE7 or IE8.  I have also reverted back to FP 9 (just to test the browsers) with same results - player crashes.  I have not run my SuperAntispyware to see if a virus could be the issue - although I am suspecting it is Not since so many others are experiencing problems with FP also.  My SuperAntispyware virus protection does not protect real time so there is nothing to disable regarding that.  When I'm using IE I do keep Protected Mode On.  If you would like me to try a game session with it Off, I can try that and provide you with the results, however FF has been my browser of choice lately, but now it is failing me too with the FP.
The sites I am having trouble with are Shockwave.com and BigSeagames.com (instead of Facebook & Farmville like Carol is/was having).  There are certain games at Shockwave and BigSeas that crash consistently.  Another player at BigSeas was told to not use IE, and to try FF.  So I did just that.  It worked for awhile, but then FP started crashing as well.  I have searched FF, Microsoft and now Adobe for help with this FP problem.  It consistently keeps crashing.
You can freely go to Firefox browser and type in the ID for my FF crash reports (listed below) - in the FF browser type about:crashes in address bar; on the resulting screen you can paste in the report numbers, if there is time to look at a couple.  I won't include all the reports, unless you specify that you need them.  Today I have had the most crashes - 12 total!  I have always been an IE-girl  (lol) just because I was so use to it.  I don't really care what browser I use as long as it works!
Thanks for any help you can give and I look forward to hearing from someone. ~Mindy

I've had this problem with Flash Player 10.1 crashing constantly in Firefox 3.6.6 since July 4th weekend.  I eventually installed version 3.6.3 and it stopped happening.
Once I installed FF version 3.6.8 this morning, the problem came back.
I tried this solution and it seems to be working so far (keep your fingers crossed!)
    (from: http://www.technogadge.com/how-to-stop-firefox-plugin-container-exe-process/)
    Steps to stop plugin-container.exe process:
    Open Firefox web browser.
Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter key.
A warning will appear. Ignore it and press the "I’ll be careful, I promise!" button.
In the Filter field type dom.ipc. Six preferences will appear for the filter dom.ipc.
Ignore first and last preferences. Toggle (double-click) each of the four remaining preferences to change the value from "true" to "false".
    That’s it. Look the screenshot.
Explanation: The crash protection feature in Firefox  3.6 is enabled for certain plugins only. The four preferences that we  modified here specifies four different out-of-process plugins. They are  the the NPAPI test plugin, Adobe Flash, Apple QuickTime (Windows) and Microsoft Silverlight (Windows).  These plugins are specified in a separate  dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.<filename> preference by default is set to  true. We can disable them by changing their value to false. And thus  plugin-container.exe will not run. By default the preference  dom.ipc.plugins.enabled is already set to "false". So, no need to touch  it. The dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs is also not important here as other  values are false.

  • Dreamweaver respond.min.js=Not working with IE7 & IE8

Six months ago I purchased Dreamweaver CS6 to have my site more interactive, I'm new to Web development.
My computer system is Windows 7 with IE9, when testing my new site all went well, until I uploaded and learned about Internet Explorer Developer Tools, which has cross browser mode to test IE 7 & 8 versions.
Unfortunately my site shows phone view first in IE7 and IE8.
    Link to my site http://www.angelsbyangels.com
    I have learned that “html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js" and "respond.min.js”
are not working properly with my site  in IE 7 & 8.
I AM Grateful for your help.

    Hi mlfa,
Can you chek out the following discussion on min.js and IE8, and try Sudarshan's solution?

  • "Object expected" JavaScript error in IE7/IE8 using AC_RunActiveContent v1.7

So this is a low-priority but annoying problem I seem to be having on a site with the AC_RunActiveContent embedding script that Flash CS3 automatically generates (v1.7, according to the comments). In IE7 and IE8, I keep getting these alerts when the page first come up:
    Line: 39
    Char: 1
    Error: Object expected
    Code: 0
    URL: etc.
What's weird is that Line 39 of the file seems to be in the midst of a try-catch thing, so I don't see why that error should even be showing up. Mind you, the site is working fine - the Flash shows up fine - like I said, not high-priority. I'd just like to try and get rid of that error if I can. Anyone else have any idea what's going on here, and how I might be able to fix it?

Bump. Also, additional details: Yes, I did upload the script to the server. Yes, it's being found and read properly by the browsers, including IE7 and IE8; I've confirmed this using the Developer's Toolbar. So it's not the same problem that everyone who's asked about this before has had; yes, I did dig up those posts via Google before I came here, and yes, I have made sure. So any other thoughts?

  • Tips for increasing fetching performance?

    Hello,
I'm doing some select queries from odp.net against my oracle database.
first i do maybe: select id, ... from table1 where id in some_collection.
then I might do select id, ... from table2 where id in some_collection and id2 in some_other_collection etc.
Let's say I do 3-5 calls from odp.net with a few collections to retrieve a set of results from different tables. So my in-parameter are collections. Some of these collections are used in several of my calls.
    Now I do the calls with SqlCommand.CommandTYpe = CommandType.Text;
Is there any difference between a text query and one to a pl/sql stored procedure? I thought that maybe it would be good to remove any context switches between the sql and pl/sql engine.
Also, if using a stored procedure I guess I'd have to use a REF CURSOR to retrieve the data. What are the advantages and disadvantages to this compared to a regular text sql statement?
If I'm using a ref cursor in a stored procedure I could also retrieve all calls directly via multiple ref cursors, reducing the amount of calls and re-using the in parameter collections that are used by several queries. Just would like some feedback on which approach to take.

    Hello,
I have done no performance testing between raw SQL and the PL/SQL to SQL via a context switch -- but look at this link:
    http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:60122715103602
"But don't be afraid at all to invoke SQL from PLSQL - that is what PLSQL does best."
I believe the main time you will experience context switching problem is when you are calling a function in a SQL statement (eg SELECT d.ColA, SomeFunctionHere(d.ColB) from etc d )
or when you have a loop in a PL/SQL that is doing 1000s of inserts or updates instead of handling it in one call.
(going back to asktom: http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:47458244605081 --> his mantra is repeated often in these forums )
Now about packages, I am a big fan of packages (so much so I tend to actively try not put raw SQL (parameterized or not) in my code). This is a personal preference thing, but I have found that the packages allow me to reduce my calls, have easier ability to maintain my SQL and data logic all in nice self contained units, and the more I have used PL/SQL the more I enjoy using it (even in SQL Server I tend to store proc everything!).
    REF Cursor: http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/mastering_dotnet_oracle/williams_refcursors.html
Once again I have not done any performance testing between REF Cursors and running the SQL in code (as I mentioned I am biased towards utilizing PL/SQL, whenever I can call a package/procedure and return 2-5 ref cursors in one call, then I am happy).
Now you can return your result sets with UDTs; they are a bit more complex to work with and require:
    1) a user defined type in Oracle
    2) a package to fill that and ship it out
    3) relying on Oracle on the .Net code side (they can autogenerate your classes but you can still modify the classes if need be)
when you install ODP if you look into your ORAHOME\product\11.1.0\client_1\odp.net\samples\2.x\UDT you will see some working examples of this.
and a nice walk through via oracle: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/hol08/dotnet/udt/udt_otn.htm
Now I have done performance testing with UDTs vs. REF Cursors, and as the result sets get larger the UDT becomes more effective for inserting collections as opposed to looping through to insert rows (this is of course excluding bulk inserts and such).
I would say that your test case looks like a simple one to try out packages with. I would recommend trying to create one call to return all of your datasets. Just remember to create your package like your .net code, keep the procedures/functions small so you can maintain them in the future!
"How will a package help me?" You are correct, it is just a class in Oracle that allows you to expose methods to be used. These methods can be private or public, have full access to Oracle's functionality for handling data, etc. I find it helps me maintain my database component of the application and occassionally do bug fixes really nicely without the overhead of a MSI roll (our setup has db changes a bit easier to perform than .net server changes)
I would recommend trying to reduce your query count as much as possible (exploring the joins) and try to have it done with one command and returning the data as quickly and easily as possible. The UDT may be a fun thing to play around with, but I would seriously look at it and make sure that it fits in with your department developement guidelines and you think it will be maintainable. We are slowly putting our toes into the waters of UDTs and are primarily utilizing ref cursors returned from packages.

  • Any general tips on getting better performance out of multi table insert?

I have been struggling with coding a multi table insert which is the first time I ever use one and my Oracle skills are pretty poor in general so now that the query is built and works fine I am sad to see its quite slow.
I have checked numerous articles on optimizing but the things I try dont seem to get me much better performance.
First let me describe my scenario to see if you agree that my performance is slow...
its an insert all command, which ends up inserting into 5 separate tables, conditionally (at least 4 inserts, sometimes 5 but the fifth is the smallest table). Some stats on these tables as follows:
Source table: 5.3M rows, ~150 columns wide. Parallel degree 4. everything else default.
Target table 1: 0 rows, 27 columns wide. Parallel 4. everything else default.
Target table 2: 0 rows, 63 columns wide. Parallel 4. default.
Target table 3: 0 rows, 33 columns wide. Parallel 4. default.
Target table 4: 0 rows, 9 columns wide. Parallel 4. default.
Target table 5: 0 rows, 13 columns wide. Parallel 4. default.
The parallelism is just about the only customization I myself have done. Why 4? I dont know it's pretty arbitrary to be honest.
    Indexes?
    Table 1 has 3 index + PK.
    Table 2 has 0 index + FK + PK.
    Table 3 has 4 index + FK + PK
    Table 4 has 3 index + FK + PK
    Table 5 has 4 index + FK + PK
None of the indexes are anything crazy, maybe 3 or 4 of all of them are on multiple columns, 2-3 max. The rest are on single columns.
The query itself looks something like this:
    insert /*+ append */ all
    when 1=1 then
    into table1 (...) values (...)
    into table2 (...) values (...)
    when a=b then
    into table3 (...) values (...)
    when a=c then
    into table3 (...) values (...)
    when p=q then
    into table4(...) values (...)
    when x=y then
    into table5(...) values (...)
    select .... from source_table
Hints I tried are with append, without append, and parallel (though adding parallel seemed to make the query behave in serial, according to my session browser).
    Now for the performance:
It does about 8,000 rows per minute on table1. So that means it should also have that much in table2, table3 and table4, and then a subset of that in table5.
Does that seem normal or am I expecting too much?
I find articles talking about millions of rows per minute... Obviously i dont think I can achieve that much... but maybe 30k or so on each table is a reasonable goal?
If it seems my performance is slow, what else do you think I should try? Is there any information I may try to get to see if maybe its a poorly configured database for this?
P.S. Is it possible I can run this so that it commits every x rows or something? I had the heartbreaking event of a network issue giving me this sudden "ora-25402: transaction must roll back" after it was running for 3.5 hours. So I lost all the progress it made... have to start over. plus i wonder if the sheer amount of data being queued for commit/rollback is causing some of the problem?

Looks like there are about 54 sessions on my database, 7 of the sessions belong to me (2 taken by TOAD and 4 by my parallel slave sessions and 1 by the master of those 4)
In v$session_event there are 546 rows, if i filter it to the SIDs of my current session and order my micro_wait_time desc:

  • Any Tips on Maximizing Computer Performance?

Windows has defrag and disk cleanup for all of their unresolved problems, but does Mac have an equivalent program to give the computer an extra push? I'm perfectly fine with my performance right now, but who would complain about getting a bit extra out of it? I'm running on my Intel-Based MacBook on OSX10.4.11

As mentioned defrag is not needed. Here is Apples take on it. About disk optimization with Mac OS X
Mac OS X: How to force background maintenance tasks ( logs and temporary items)
I prefer to use Onyx for the maintenance issues addressed in the second link. MacJanitor is also good.

  • Inspect or check IE7, IE8, and IE9 Dreamweaver sites on my mac?

Hi.  Apart from using Parellels, Virtual PC, buying Windows 7, etc, is there a free way to inspect or check my dreameaver site in internet explorer while on my apple mac or macbook?  Doesn't Adobe have some way of letting mac users check IE compatibility with CS5 dreamweaver sites?
    CS5, CS5.5
    Macbook 10.5, Macbook 10.6, Macbook 10.7
    Thanks!!!

    Hi jaynew16,
I'm a little hesitant to answer this because it almost seems like a trick question You posted this in the forum for Adobe BrowserLab, a web-based tool for cross-browser webpage compatibility testing. There is currently no charge for using it, and you should be able to test any public webpage by doing the following:
    Go to https://browserlab.adobe.com
    Register with your Adobe ID
Click on Browser Sets and choose which browsers you want to test
Click on Test and enter your URL into the entry field
Press Enter and screenshots of your URL will be returned which you can view singly, side-by-side, or overlaid
If your site isn't public, we offer Dreamweaver and Firefox integration pieces that allow you to test pages behind your firewall. Turn on the extension in Dreamweaver by going to Window > Extensions and selecting Adobe BrowserLab. Make sure your version of Dreamweaver has all the latest updates, and you should be good to go for testing pages directly from your machine.
Let me know if you have any further questions,
    Mark

  • Spry 2, IE7/IE8 bad, IE9 ok.

I have a horizontal spry menu version 2 (Spry pre-release 1.7) that appears to have a small problem with IE 7, and IE 8, but not IE9 or other browsers like Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
The problem is when I open the submenu, and scroll the mouse up and down the submenu, the submenu will close.  It does this even before I have scrolled the mouse down to the last menu item.  I also notice that the clickable zone is only active where the text is located, not the full width of the submenu.
What is bad is that I can produce this same problem with a clean website and using nothing but the default settings and code.
So I ask, is there a hack or fix for this?  Has anyone see this and knows what I need to do to get it working?
This is the code for the main page.

MenuBarLeftShrink - The menu bar will be horizontally 'shrinkwrapped' to be just large enough to hold its items, and left aligned
MenuBarRightShrink - Just like MenuBarLeftShrink, but right aligned
MenuBarFixedLeft - Fixed at a specified width set in the rule '.MenuBarFixedLeft', and left aligned.
MenuBarFixedCentered -  - Fixed at a specified width set in the rule '.MenuBarFixedCentered',
and centered in its parent container.
MenuBarFullwidth - Grows to fill its parent container width.
In general, all rules specified in this file are prefixed by #MenuBar so they only apply to instances of the widget inserted along
with the rules. This permits use of multiple MenuBarBasic widgets on the same page with different layouts. Because of IE6 limitations,
there are a few rules where this was not possible. Those rules are so noted in comments.

/* IE6 rules - you can delete these if you do not want to support IE6 */
/* A note about multiple classes in IE6.
    * Some of the rules above use multiple class names on an element for selection, such as "hover" (MenuItemHover) and "has a subMenu" (MenuItemWithSubMenu),
    * giving the selector '.MenuItemWithSubMenu.MenuItemHover'.
    * Unfortunately IE6 does not support using mutiple classnames in a selector for an element. For a selector such as '.foo.bar.baz', IE6 ignores
    * all but the final classname (here, '.baz'), and sets the specificity accordingly, counting just one of those classs as significant. To get around this
    * problem, we use the plugin in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js to generate compound classnames for IE6, such as 'MenuItemWithSubMenuHover'.
    * Since there are a lot of these needed, the plugin does not generate the extra classes for modern browsers, and we use the CSS2 style mutltiple class
    * syntax for that. Since IE6 both applies rules where
    * it should not, and gets the specificity wrong too, we have to order rules carefully, so the rule misapplied in IE6 can be overridden.
    * So, we put the multiple class rule first. IE6 will mistakenly apply this rule.  We follow this with the single-class rule that it would
    * mistakenly override, making sure the  misinterpreted IE6 specificity is the same as the single-class selector, so the latter wins.
    * We then create a copy of the multiple class rule, adding a '.SpryIsIE6' class as context, and making sure the specificity for
    * the selector is high enough to beat the single-class rule in the "both classes match" case. We place the IE6 rule at the end of the
    * css style block to make it easy to delete if you want to drop IE6 support.
    * If you decide you do not need IE6 support, you can get rid of these, as well as the inclusion of the SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js script.
    * The 'SpryIsIE6' class is placed on the HTML element by  the script in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js if the browser is Internet Explorer 6. This avoids the necessity of IE conditional comments for these rules.

  • This Browser is not supported with Karbonn CRM! So Please Use only IE6/IE7/IE8 ....

please help me how to solve

It is quite possible the software suite is designed to work with Windows and the default Window's browser Internet Explorer. The message you quote seems pretty explicit that Firefox will not work.
If for instance it is dependent on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ActiveX Active X controls] there is little if anything you can easily do to make Firefox work with the software.
Your best option is to look for Karbonn support or forums and seek answers there.

If you have an email address i could email you the files as they are only small.
If it helps to understand i have 2 screen shots below of how it looks in IE7 & IE8.
Thank you very much for your help.
    IE7
IE8 - The left and right green headings are not there and the bottam banner has moved up to the top?

  • Jsp error Message: Access is denied. on customers IE7 and IE8

    Hello,
    Here is a thing:
Customer getting js error in IE7 and IE8. Firefox works fine.
I am not able to reproduce on internal machine with ie8. also internally all works in ie9 (also in browsing modes ie7, ie8). and of course firefox works great internally as well.
Error happens when they navigate back to caller page from popup page (SelectPG) by selecting not partial action. When they click on the commandImageLink popupPage get blanked (get white with no any information on it) and stays and IE showing yellow exlamation mark in the bottom left corner with error:
    Message: Access is denied.
    Line: 1
    Char: 53
    Code: 0
    URI: http://cusomer_host:7001/product/faces/selectFlow/SelectPG?_adf.ctrl-state=1paop64rm_38
SelectPG is inside bounded taskflow which is ran as dialog from caller taskflow.Popup page SelectPG opens fiine and all information is displayed correctly, they can see table with all information do filtering on table etc...
i dont have access to customer enviroment. and i am not able to reproduce this on any of our internal enviroments.
kind of stuck here will appreciate any thoughts/hints/suggestions.
    thanks in advance!

and it seems that to reproduce this - you can run any of your application which have taskflow's <inline-popup> with this kind of link:
    a href="http://weblogic:7101/yourproduce/faces/yourPage.jspx" target="_blank">go to your application </A
for some reason target="_blank" makes popup not to be closed throwing the Access is denied error.
Do you know if there is any patch for this? (updating jdev version is not the option)
