TLS issues when receiving mails.

I have the following problem. I have activated TLS both for incoming and outgoing mails. Email sent from our domain to outside recipients works fine with TLS header. The problem is with incoming mails. Mails sent to our domain are received with no TLS header. Could it be the certificate that is not trusted? How can i verify it? Could it be the firewall that may be dropping incoming TLS connection?

Strange results when receiving mail sent form mail.app

Hi all,
I've searched these forums for an answer to this problem but I didn't find anything that seemed to fit the bill.
I'm using the latest version of mail.app 2 with updates applied running in 10.4.3.
I'm using Gmail as my mail server but have the same problem with other email servers I have tried.
When I send mail to my work account (based on an exchange server) I'm getting some strange results. I'm using Windows 2000 and Outlook 2003 at work.
When I send an (new) email with an attachment then all text that I write below the attachment in the email, when received through exchange at work, becomes an attachment its self. If this is a plain text email then the attachment is a text file, if it's a rich text email then the attachment becomes a webdocument (HTM). This is not the desired result!
Similarly, if I reply to or forward an email, any text below new text I type into those emails becomes an attachment rather than an actual reply (with that attachment either a text file or a webdocument as stated above).
My question therefore is how can this be corrected. It's rather annoying to have half my message cut off if I put an attachment half way through the email I am composing (I guess i could attach it to the end below all text and signature). Equally frustrating is having replied or forwarded text appear in an attachment.

Urgent help - PO issue when receiving

Dear gurus
i have an urgent production issue, i have done a mass conversion of all the master data from one plant to another, the scenario is that they are closing down and stopping operations at old plant and moving the entire operations to new plant under the same company code, so for this i did the entire MM master data conversions
i also changed the delivering plant and address using MASS T-code for all the open PO's line items from old plant to new plant (some of line items had partial open qty and some of them entire open qty)
1st issue:
But when i am doing VL31N inbound delivery, the PO qty is NOT showing up automatically in the delivery qty field, so it is causing issues when trying the do a GR
2nd issue
also another issue is that in the Goods Movement Data tab while using VL31N for GR, it is by default showing the old plant still and is grayed out even though the PO line item contains the new plant code and delivery address, so how can we change the receiving plant to new plant and why it is not picking the new plant still
so can you please help me on this issue and let me know if there is any settings or resolution

you have written that you have converted the material master data, but what about the existing puchase orders, you have to copy all the orders in the new plant .
or if possible try to chane the delivery address in in the item details of the P.O.

Issue when receiving SOAP message with HTTPS on non-central adapter engine

Hi,
we have a central XI system (PI 7.1 EHP1 SP03) and a non-central adapter engine (XI 3.0) in the DMZ, both systems on HP-UX.
In the affected configuration scenario, a business partner is sending us IDocs (INVOIC.INVOIC01) over HTTPS with Certificate Authentication and without SOAP Envelope.
The configuration and security settings seem to be correct, because we've already received several messages successfully over this connection. Now, since several weeks no message arrives anymore in our system, while the business partner always gets a HTTP_OK_200 response. So the messages seem to be accepted by our system, but nothing is shown, neither in the MessageMonitoring or CommunicationChannelMonitoring of the Runtime Workbench, nor in the in the traces/logs of the NetweaverAdministrator (trace level = DEBUG for "com.sap.aii.adapter.soap").
I also removed the assigned user in the sender agreement which should cause a HTTP_500_error on sender side, but our business partner still got a "OK_200" notification and we didn't find any information in the trace of our system.
When using TCPGateway to trace the communication, I can see an arriving message and the response, but it's encrypted because of HTTPS.
1) Did anyone have similiar issues yet?
2) Are there any further possibilities to check if an incoming message at the SOAP adapter fails?
3) Which further trace settings can be done, to get most detailed informations about the soap traffic?
4) Is there a way to decrypt the message of the TCPGateway (e.g. with private key of server)?
I'm looking forward for any helpful hints or information!

Exchange issue: send/receive mail fine - can't delete or move messages

Just installed Snow Leopard this morning - excited to finally be able to hook into my company's exchange server. Everything appears to be functioning fine (I can receive and see all messages in my inbox, I can send email fine) however when I try either delete a message or move a message to another folder I receive the following message:
"The message "XXXXXXX" could not be moved to the mailbox "Trash - [email protected]"
An error occurred while moving messages to mailbox "Trash - [email protected]""
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice/help!
EDIT: I am not currently aware of what exchange version my company is using.

I'll third the post. Identical problem, but I'm one of the Exchange 2007 e-mail administrators, so people ask me for answers. The autodiscover worked, so I know the settings are correct. Mail, iCal and Address Book all had no problem with the sync. I am also not being blocked by the firewall.
I'll start tweaking settings and see if I can make any progress. Just to reiterate what was stated by Tyrun, I can receive and send messages, but I can't move or delete (send to Trash) any messages. I'm running Snow Leopard, which was upgraded from an out-of-the-box fresh install of Leopard on a brand new MBP. All Software Updates have been applied.

Strange characters when receiving mail in mail.app

Hi,
I am having an issue with certain e-mails in mail.app cannot be read due to very strange charachers.
I have already seen that problem with entourage and it's just the matter of deleting a font cache but here I cannot seem to get around it..
Any idea someone?

Sometimes these problems are caused by the fonts Times Phonetic and Helvetica Fractions. Delete them if you have them.
Or it could be an encoding issue. Send a screen shot if you want (tom at bluesky dot org).

Issue when receiving incoming calls

Hi,
I have been experiencing the same problem for several months. Sometimes (hopefully it remains rare), when I have an incoming call, my iPhone rings but the screen won't turn on, so that I won't be able to answer the call. The only thing I can do then is to silence the call. Has someone experience the same issue ?

i had it in 1.1.3 but after the update to 1.1.4 didnt have it again (only had it a few times before thought).
i think when i reset the phone (hold home and sleep/wake button) it stopped but i cannot remember for sure
try that, make sure your running 1.1.4, if that doesnt work try a restore and then after that go to an apple store

User name/password message posts when receiving mail.

Have new iPhone 4. Am able to receive AOL email but message keeps posting "The user name and password for AOL is incorrect" How do I prevent this message from coming up?

It would appear that you may not have use the correct incoming server name, which would appear to me to be postoffice8.mail.cornell.edu. Mail 4.x makes lots of assumption, and maybe assuming you would be setting up to use an Exchange account?
Enter the correct data for the first page of setup, then if the next step would be to click on a Create button, instead hold the Option button until the button changes to read Continue. Then click Continue and proceed to POP setup.
Guessing a lot, so more info if this does not solve.

Im using 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'
FM TO send a mail from SAP to user with attachment in .csv format but the data isnot getting displayed correctly ...
I thnk it is competely displayed in ASCII format ..

How is the user opening the .csv attachment?
I'm guessing that it should be opened with Excel.
Are you using an attachment document type of 'XLS'?
If not, then the attachment won't be opened with Excel unless the user right-clicks on it and does 'Open with'.
Even then, the user will have to use the Excel import wizard.
Is a .csv file what you want?
You can use the ABAP OLE stuff to write a native Excel file that can be attached to an email.
Or you can (at the cost of more work) write the Excel file (still type XLS) using XML, which gives you more control, and still works when your program is run in the background.

Is there a fix for the 'mute' issue when receiving/makings calls? I can hear them but they can't hear me..

I've read about this being a common issue with the iPhone 4S, particularly with iOS 5.1.1. I spoke with someone at apple tech support and did a hard reset - no luck. She mentioned that replacing the phone was a possible solution but I'd rather use that as a last resort - I haven't heard the greatest things about turn around time with apple's warranty.
Is there a fix for this? The person on the other end (whether it's an outbound or an inbound call) can't hear me at all. I can hear everything fine. Speakerphone works fine. Facetime works fine. Checked my mute button, on/off/on/off, no luck. Checked all my settings and can't figure it out.
Any ideas?

I ended up getting a new phone, straight through Apple. I called their technical support and went through all he basics again and they decided to replace it. Was a pretty quick process - after defaulting and resetting the whole phone (about 2 hours), I called them back to inform that there was no change, so they set up the order.
I had to give my CC# so they could hold a charge on it (in case I didn't send my old phone bach, which they sent me a pre-posted package to send it in anyway). Had a brand new iPhone 4S in my hands in 4 days, which was pretty decent. I had uploaded everything previously to iCloud, so setting up the new phone was a snap.
Only thing I really didn't like was they charged me almost 30 bucks for shipping or processing, or something. Not so sure that should have been my responsibility after spending so much on a brand new product, only to have to have it warrantied after, like, a month.

Cannot get mail appears even when receiving mail

After I set up my email on my iPad, the cannot get mail pops up every time I open my email. I'm getting email. And it keeps asking me for my password. Email is working?

You get that if your username and password are not entered in the outgoing mail server settings so check the outgoing mail server setting.
Make sure that your username and password are in there.

Weird Pop Up Logo When Receiving Mail

Everytime I download new mail in Apple Mail, I get this very bizarre pop up logo:

Create a New User Account, and as that New User try to set up this one Gmail account. If not familiar with setting up a New User Account, see:

This will be a useful test, and is not meant to suggest a permanent switch to the New User Account, but rather a test of the Mail application outside of your normal User Account.

Get-childItem issue when sending mail

I'm having a problem where the below command works but not the way it should. For example, if i have two files it will display both files in the email instead of just one.
$fname=Get-ChildItem \\Main\Drop| Where-Object {!$_.PSIsContainer}
and here is the body of the email
$Body = "Check Drop Folder for new file: `n $fname `n`nOR `nclick here: \\Main\Drop\$fname"
If i have 2 files in that drop directory say: file1.txt, file2.txt the email will say:
Check Drop Folder for new file:
file1.txt file2.txt
OR
click here: \\main\Drop\file1.txt file2.txt
I know its a simple fix but im missing it..

The idea here is to get only ONE email PER FILE, i do not want to combine the files in one email. So for two files, i will have two emails.

Issue in workflow mail-link while receiving on MS OUTLOOK

Weu2019re having an issue in the links send to approver via Workflow email.
The link being sent is as below :

Since the workflow canu2019t send link with more than 120 digits, weu2019re breaking the link into multiple parts.

The mail is defined in HTML.
Our client-(end-user) uses two application for email u2013 Lotus notes and outlook.
The above mentioned link works fine on Lotus notes, but is creating issue when received on Outlook.
Issue :
When the mail is received on outlook u2013 A space is introduced in the link, due to which on clicking of link u2013 nothing opens up.
It seems that when the first line of link is generated a space is introduced after that.
Solutions tried:
Weu2019ve tried to combine 3 variables into 1 and created link with just one line.
But this doesnu2019t seem to be working.
Any pointers towards the solution for Outlook will be really helpful.

a possible solution that we implemented is:
create a method or Function module, by using classes like cl_bcs, cl_document_bcs, to send any kind of email (with any length text, even markup, attachments etc) to outlook (you can see standard program BCS_EXAMPLE_5 for reference).
invoke this function module from within the workflow, instead of using standard "Send Mail" step.

Mail.03 will download received mail from Gmai uising pop but not sent mail

After upgrading to Leonard, I decided to reconfigure my gmail with Mail.03 (hopping to eliminate the non sound issue when new mail arrives. Prior to this Gmail downloaded all received and sent mail. After, only received mail is downloaded but sent mail is No not. (Nor can I successfully send mail using Mail 0.3 through gmail.
I tried setting up an imap account and could not download any sent or received items.

Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is stored.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
4. Move any “IMAP-” or “Mac-” account folders to the Trash. Note that you can do this with IMAP-type accounts because they store mail on the server and Mail can easily re-create them. DON’T trash any “POP-” account folders, as that would cause all mail stored there to be lost.
5. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
6. As a side effect of having removed the IMAP account folders, those accounts may be in an “offline” state now. Do Mailbox > Go Online to bring them back online.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.
