Hi Masters,
I m working on ALV in which i have to display output with the following format.
Header
"Some String"                                                             date/time
User:XYZ01       page 1
Line
1st field    2nd    3rd     4th       5th   6th    7th   8th   9th 10th field

same thing for every change of 4th field .
So the problem is with inserting the line with string "Total of 3rd+4th" in the output .
Can Anyone help me out?

Hi,
Use control-break statement ON-CHANGE for the 4th field, and do the changes.

Custom infotype - issues with conversion class - making fields display only

I created the custom infotype 9008 using t-code PM01, created conversion class ZCL_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_9008_XX and assigned it to screen structure ZHCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R9008 in the view V_T588UICONVCLAS. Coded the methods IF_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_STANDARDOUTPUT_CONVERSION and IF_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_STANDARDINPUT_CONVERSION. I'm trying to make some fields display only within the method OUTPUT_CONVERSION dynamically. Coded the check class ZCL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_9008 with business logic.
Everything seems to be working fine when I test using the test tool through t-code PUIT_UI.
When I try to create/modify 9008 record through PA30, the code in the methods OUTPUT_CONVERSION and INPUT_CONVERSION is never getting executed. The control is not coming there at all. The fields are allowing input. Any idea why this is happening.
We are on ECC 6.0 and at service pack level SAPKE60035. Couldn't find any relevant SAP notes as well. Appreciate your help in this regard.

Background job on change of some field!!

I'm having troube with music. Some artists that start with an "A" appear under the "B" menu and similarly throughout the alphabet. Same about albums, songs and genres. It suddenly happened after about 3 days of iOS 5 usage. Re-synchronization doesn't help. I also tried deleting some artists from ipod, but it doesn't help either.

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

Workbook with changed query does not display the changes...

I have a problem with a workbook with one query in - the query has been changed, but the new added keyfigures are not displayed in the existing WB.
I know from Bex 3.5 there is the option on WB settings "return to global definitions" - I miss this functionality in BI 7.0.
My installed sap gui is version 710
Please let me know where I can switch on this feature...

If you use "Return to Global Definition on refresh" option, all the users would have to have it turned on in their workbooks. In that case won't they lose any settings/navigation the user did, specific to their need. All the workbooks end up being the same in that case.
We are still running on 30B and starting the upgrade to BI70. We just went through training on the new BEx analyzer, and I have to agree with you that some of the useful features of BEx 3X will be missed. Specially in the area of Workbook support, things like Copy query, insert query etc are missing as well.

Issue with length of delivery field displayed in LM06 on RF device

Hello everyone,
I have a challenging issue which I have posted on another forum as well, and was hoping that somebody on SDN may be familiar with this. This issue is being reported by one of our warehouses. SAP RF transaction LM06 is used extensively in this warehouse, and we use a 10 digit delivery number. The delivery field itself in SAP is 20 characters, and we have always displayed 10 on RF. The warehouse is telling me that about a week ago, the number of characters displayed on the RF device for the delivery field in LM06 changed from 10 to 9, and that a leading zero was being inserted when the barcoded delivery number was scanned. There have been no changes to the barcode on the picklist, and I am told there have been no changes to the printer that prints the pick list. A change was deployed a week ago that contained some unrelated configuration and a small code change in a user exit for transfer order creation. Neither of these is in any way related to LM06. Our basis team tells me that there have been no changes to the SAP console server, but I have no way to verify that myself as I am a WM functional consultant. Can anybody tell me if they have seen a problem like this before, or if the field display for a transaction like this is configurable in the SAP console server? The RF hardware being used is the Symbol PDT-8146. Unfortunately, I am 10,000 miles from the warehouse, which puts me at a bit of a disadvantage in trying to diagnose this.

Outlook not sync contacts with changed "file as" field?

I am syncing contacts and calendar from Outlook on my office PC (and everything else from Mac at home). I have a very large contact list and have noticed that a number of key contacts have not synced. It appears that any contacts with a changed "file as" field have not been syned (e.g. contact entry of "Daniel Smith" with "file as" field altered in Outlook to show "Dan Smith" does not show anywhere on iPhone). Needless to say, these are actually the contacts that I use most often so I'm hoping to find a solution.
On a related point, it's hard to determine exactly how many contacts are not syncing b/c I can't find anyplace on the iPhone or in iTunes that lists shows info on the number of contacts (so I can't compare to my count in Outlook).
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there any known solutions or work-arounds? (I'm hoping to avoid a full export, clean-up, and import to iPhone through the Mac Address Book or similar b/c I'm concerned that in then trying to sync w/ Outlook I'd get duplicates. Also, my contact list has thousands of contacts so it would be very dedious. My current work-around is to still carry my Treo in my briefcase, which is not ideal).

boynsea: Thanks for the input, but isn't the IMAP aspect of Outlook limited to the way one can connect to an Exchange server for e-mail? I've been successful in getting the IMAP connection for e-mail working. Contacts and calendar are designed to sync when physically docked with the computer rather than over-the-air; I know, if something like exchange activesync is ever licensed for iPhone then the calendar can be updated over-the-air, but I suspect that contacts will always be synced only when docked (which is how my Treo was set up).
Anyway, I did test my theory about the "file-as" field by changing a few contacts back to their default display and now they sync just fine. I really don't want to have to do this for all contacts, and can't actually tell how many are involved since I haven't found anyplace that the number of contacts is listed. Also, does anyone know if there is a readily accessible syncronization log that can be checked? That might show those contacts that are rejected.

Can I change the text fields displayed in iTunes cover view

I have alot of music in my iTunes library that are from "various artist" cds. when in cover flow view i want to see "song" & "artist" fields displayed not "album" & "album artist". is there a way to change the fields that are displayed. This is especially annoining when in full screen mode, i want to see the artist of the song that is playing, not the artist for the whole album.
I have my iMac in a fairly promenent location so that anyone can see what is currently playing on the system that is almost always piping music throughout the house via several airport expresses.
any tips?

Settings > General > Accessibility > Large Text

Downloading ALV to EXCEL - in some fields the last character is missing ...

I am experiencing this kind of problem when downloading ALV report into Excel :-
"You are downloading an ALV result to an EXCEL file. In some fields the last character is missing."
For example, if MATNR is 0000234567 in display but after downloading to excel it becomes only 23456.
I found another related forum thread : Pronlem while downloading ALV grid to excel
I tried the suggested method to apply OSS note 1075315. However, the note cannot be implemented in the system. I am working in a ECC6 environment (SAP version 700, 701).

1. Check FM : REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY
2. Import Parameter tab :IT_FIELDCAT
3. Double click SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV
4. On type group SLIS, check line 93

Create document with refrence + update some fields by passing some values

I have a small problem . I have to create the sales order from BAPI ...but the scenario is
      have to create with refreence to another document
      some fields like condition types or material or order quantity etc are passed from an excel sheet
hence some information which is populated in excel sheet should be picked up rest everything should be picked up
from the refrence document
How can use both information (from the refrence document and externally passed from the excel) and create a new document

Here <FT_TAB> must already be assigned to some internal table with a given (dynamic) structure. Did this happen before this piece of code?
What I would do is to create a dynamic table (see documentation to CREATE DATA) with MATNR and the STYLE field (LVC_T_STYL). See the documentation for CREATE DATA - creation of internal tables. When collection the field descriptions for that internal table I would also build the field catalogue for the ALV.
Then assign <FT_TAB> to that newly created internal table, <FS_TAB> to a newly created structure (same as a table line).
Move the MATNR to component 1 (or component 'MATNR') of the table and fill the style table according to your needs. Then insert the <FS_TAB> into <FT_TAB>.
Finally call the ALV SET_TABLE... method with your dynamic table and your field catalogue.

You can add RTF to active allowed output type list (provided that your reporting system supports it) by going to CustomerReportExtensions.xml file and adding the following node right after ParameterTypes node:

Change width of fields displayed on PDF from ALV

Hello,
I have a requirement in which i have to print an alv report in a pdf , now in the report say there are 11 fields of which 5 are hidden , so when i print the report in pdf , in the pdf output the entire width of the page is not occupied but only the width of the displayed fields
for eg. The 6 fields being displayed will cover only a part of the page..however i want the fields to occupy the entire page depending on the fields that are displayed .. plz advice how i can achieve this..

Customer Master Idoc gets some fields as garbage with English Lang

We are using SAP 4.6C MDMP system. This is not unicode. We are sending customer idoc. The customers are created in Japanese and English language.
When we login in Japanese language and send IDOC then the content looks fine.
When we login with English language and send IDOC then we get some garbage character.This is because the customer was created in Japanese language and the IDOC is being sent with English language code page.
I am thinking of copying the RBDMIDOC program and include a logic which will check if the customer is Japanese and logon language is Japanese only then send the idoc.Similarly if customer is not japanese and logonlanguage is not japanese then send the idoc.
Has any one faced issue with IDOC and the data being maintained in different language.
Please share your thoughts.

This is a configuration change that can be done via tcode NACE.
The Idocs will be automatically triggered and sent.
Ask your functional consultant for further details.

to delete useless zero of aufnr
Or:
set fieldcatlog-seltext_l longer
for example:
fieldcatlog-fieldname = 'AUFNR'.
fieldcatlog-seltext_l = 'ProductionNumber'.
