To display total records in a table through Go URL

Hi All,
Can anyone give me the solution how to display all the records of a table through Go URL. Actually according to the documentation provided by the oracle or the stuff in the blogs, We can write Go URL to display all the records in a table in two methods.
1) To change the properties of a table and use the basic Go URL.
2) Adding Action=Scroll&P5=-1&ViewID=go~Table to the Go URL.
First one is not a solution in our case, According to our scenario we should not change table properties because If we change the properties and display the whole records in one page... it will impact the performance.
Coming to the second, we tried to append this part in the report Go URL. But It gave Assertion Failure Error.
Anybody please provide a solution how to write a Go URL to get all the records in the table.

Try creating records in detail block in the when new block instance trigger of
detail block. Set the validation unit property of the form to FORM before trying this.

Insert a record into a table through email in an Oracle APEX application

I developed an Oracle APEX application, there is a table called events. I can insert/update/delete a record in the table through browser. I am thinking in order to quickly do the data entry, user should be able to send an email, then the table should be inserted with values from email address, timestamp, subject and body. Anyd idea how to realize this functionality?

Start by checking whether your mail server provides any API's for accessing emails , if it does you might be able to reduce a lot of work by using some kind of web service consumer from apex to your mail server. In any case your implementation is going to be dependent on your Mail Server configuration.
Your problem breaks down to reading/accessing mails from the mail server from PLSQL (apex is driven by PLSQL).

If these do not work for you, find some java library to read mail from your server, write a PLSQL wrapper for it and use it in a scheduled job(DBMS_JOB)/a PLSQL block triggered from Apex.
If you get stuck there, find some utility that can read mails, invoke them from your DB using java,shell scrpt,dbms_scheduler etc and use the utility's function for the rest.
NOTE: I haven't tried any of these utilities and you must validate any java code before running them on your environment.
Since aren't really much restrictions(other than spam checks) in sending a mail to your mail account, you might want to consider filtering out the mails from which you create records.

Sql Except query to Display mismatched records along with Table names

I am using below query to display mismatch records between two tables

EXCEPT
SELECT * FROM table2
UNION
SELECT * FROM table2
EXCEPT
SELECT * FROM table1
This displays mismatched records like below
Sunil 1000 india
Sunil 1500 india
I would like to display even the table names in the result For ex;
Sunil 1000 india Table1
Sunil 1500 india Table2

cnk_gr's query should work for you.
One change that I would make is to use UNION ALL, not UNION. UNION eliminates duplicate rows, which means SQL has to do additional work (sort the result and then check for duplicates).
So if you can have duplicates and don't want them in your result, then you would use UNION. And if you can have duplicates and you want the duplicates in the result, you would use UNION ALL. But in cases like this, where you know you cannot have
duplicates (because column 1 contains 'TABLE1' for every row in the first half and column 1 contains 'TABLE2' for every row returned from the second half of the query), you should always use UNION ALL. It will be more efficient.

Scenario: Record of a table “prototype” is made up of 8 columns,
key_col,
text_col,
label1_col, label2_col, label3_col,
check1_col, check2_col, check3_col,
I have created the following items on a page:
a) A Display Only item that is populated through a SQL query
“SELECT text_col from prototype where rownum=key_seq.NEXTVAL “.
b) Hidden item for the database columns “label1_col, label2_col, label3_col”
Source type for the hidden items is of type SQL query, Source expression is:
Select label1_col from prototype where rownum=key_seq.NEXTVAL ;
Select label2_col from prototype where rownum=key_seq.NEXTVAL ;
Select label3_col from prototype where rownum=key_seq.NEXTVAL ;
(key_seq is a sequence).
c) Checkbox item for the database columns “ check1_col, check2_col,check3_col"
d) The labels for the above checkbox items are &label1_col. , &label2_col. , &label3_col.
I have created a Save button to save the state of the checkboxes; (STATIC:;1 )
I want the page to be refreshed with the data from the next record (Fields text_col, label1_col, label2_col, label3_col) through a “ Next” Button.
Can I please know how I can achieve this?

Inserting Record In same table through triggers.

I've a table cus_mst ( cus_div_cd vachar2(1), cus_cd varchar2(5), cus_nm varchar2(100) )
Records are inserted in this table through forms ...
We need to automatically insert a record with a diff div_cd for any record inserted in the table .
If div_cd 'I' is entered automatically a record with div cd 'S' with other coulmns having same values should get inserted .
In case div_cd is 'S' then record with div_cd 'I' should get created.
Eg : If in insert ( 'S', 'A0001', 'ABC COmpany' ); another record with values ( 'I', 'A0001', 'ABC Comapny' ) gets created;
One way to do is to insert records in a view ( on the table ) and use instead of trigger to insert the corresponding record. But that is not possible as development team has to change form and use view instead of table.
Have tried doing it by populating a collection in-each-row trigger and then using statment level trigger to insert from the collection. But this leads to recursive error.
Would be great to get more insights into this..

11G ADF java datacontrol and displaying new records in ADF table

Hi,
In 11g I have a java class which return a list of objects and I made a data control on it. I displayed this in a ADF Table based on a ADF tree binding.
When I fire the create operation on this java data control I see in the tree binding that the new entry is created and even the table has the correct
rowcount but the new records are not displayed in the adf table. I added PPR but this not work.
Empty new classes are displayed when they are added before the page is loaded.
the only difference between a class created by ADF and initial by the adf datacontrol is that mAtrrHintsMap hashmap of DCdataRow is null and the other has 2 entries
What can it be in 10.1.3 it works

What if you place the create button in the same panelGroup as the table?

Total Records in a Table

I am new to the Oracle environment and I am trying to find a quick way to get the total number of records loaded into a table. Is there any command you can use to verify this? I know a log file can be created when loading a file, but I do not see a record count displayed in this file. Thank you in advance for your help.

The simplest way to do this is to issue a SELECT statement on the table you have loaded. This can be achieved by issuing the following command:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table_name;
where the table_name is the name of the table you have just loaded.
Secondly, you can obtain the number of records loaded by turning your FEEDBACK parameter on before prior to loading. At the end of a successful load, the number of records created will be displayed, assuming that your are loading from one table to another.
For more info, please refere to the SQL*PLUS reference manual.

shall i use normal report via SE38, if yes, what is the table that stores detail from FBL3N or does report painter support the above requirement..pls advice

Count total records in 2 tables

Hello,
I am using this query
select count(*) from table1, table2) to get the total number of records in those 2 tables. Actually I have only 7 records in both the tables, but I get 15. What could be the problem?
Also I need to find out another query where in I can find out which table is giving a particular record. e.g table1 has firstname,lastname and table2 has firstman,lastman. I need to know that firstname has come from tabl1 and firstman has come from table2.

Well, if I'm not misstaken the difference between
UNION and UNION ALL is that UNION ALL will include
duplicates while UNION will ignore the duplicates.The UNION clause forces all rows returned by each
portion of the UNION to be sorted and merged and
duplicates to be filtered before the first row is
returned. A UNION ALL simply returns all rows
including duplicates and does not have to perform any
sort, merge or filter. It is much more efficient.
(Although the performance factor may be irrelevant in
the OP's situation - the issue of duplicate rows

Simple Delete of records of a table through OWB.

One of the loading types in a target table is 'DELETE'. This option can be used in a mapping to delete data from a certain table...
Create the mapping according the specs (conditions where you want to delete data). Set the loading type to delete and run the mapping. And you're done!
Keep in mind that data you delete from a table is completely gone. Sometimes - especially from a data warehouse point of view - it is not wise or allowed to delete the data. Instead of removing the records you could also add a column which indicates wether the record is valid or not. We call this column 'Indicator_Logical_Deleted' and load the values 0 and 1.

Using this code i can get only single plant...
If i want to get multiple plants from an internal table,how i can change this code?
Since it is a recording i cant put this code in LOOP..ENDLOOP.
Suggest any method for doing this....

The you can place different plant in the BDC using loop and endloop

How to update the records in SAP table through BADIs?

Hi all,
I have added custom tab with one field(input/output field) in ME22N. As soon as the user enters the value in the field,the value should be updated in the appended structure which has been included in EKKO table. I was told to be done in the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and method PROCESS_HEADER. Please someone tell me how to do this.

Inserting new input record into the table through screen

Hi,
Example UserTable and PaymentTable
UserTable - UserID - Primary Key
PaymentTable - containg couple of fields and UserId is foreign Key.
I designed the page for to insert the new input record using the steps given in the doc "http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/web.1013/b28967/web_adv007.htm".
When i click the persistEntity method its throws TopLink error cannot insert null value into UserId column in PaymentTable.
Currently i am posting this reply from home... that's why i mentioning the scenario rather than posting the error.
Please tell how to populate the values from the screen to PaymentTable.

Display Total No of Rows displayed in footer -- Classic Table

I have a search page. I want to display total records selected in the footer.
Like:

Total Records : 3
I cant use column total in this case b coz i the column 2 is not numeric column.
I can get the total no of rows using getRowCount, but i dont know how to display it in footer of perticular column.
Can anybody pls help in this regards...
