How to set a payload field value only once for multiple instances selected?

The user needs to set a payload field value and then he can approve the task so the task can continue through the process, that's fine when the user selects one instance and sets the value in the task details section and then clicks the approve button, but how do we achieve the same behavior in a multiple way?, I mean the user can select multiple tasks in the workspace (in this case the details task page is not available and instead the following label appear "Multiple tasks selected") then if the user clicks the Actions drop down -> APPROVE he only gets the message "your request was processed successfully", so how can the user modify the payload field value only once for all the selected tasks so when he clicks APPROVE the value is populated in all the instances selected.

Return each value only once using cfloop query

I have some code that dynamically populates a cfselect list and then populates a second list based on those values. Everything seems to be working fine, except that all values are being pulled from the database, and there are duplicates in most cases. For example, value 1S1W diplays in the drop-down menu 10 times, where I would only like it there once.
Is there a way to have one of each value in my list?

Notice I removed any mention of SECTION, because it's irrelevant to generating a unique list of TOWNSHIP_RANGE. Also, GROUP BY is not needed, but an ORDER BY will sort the records in alphanumeric order.
Then you need to modify your code where you generate the option list for the first pulldown:

Here I did a couple of things beside changing SECTION references to TOWNSHIP_RANGE . It's a good idea to add the query name prefix to column names when you output them so that you avoid collisions with variables that have the same name. I also reduced your <CFIF> statements to one compound statement for simplicity, and replaced the IsDefined with a StructKeyExists function. This is considered to be better practice and won't throw an error when used in a compound statement (if you kept the IsDefined statement and tried that in a compound selection, it can sometimes throw errors if the variable in the IsDefined doesn't exist).
Now, your second query should be something like:

One other thing I noticed. If you are on ColdFusion 8 or 9, the dbytpe="odbc" is no longer needed. I'm assuming you are using an ODBC database connection to something like MS Access. If so, you can omit the dbytype entirely. It's only needed now if you do query-of-query queries, where it would be dbtype="query".

The LOV Type is - QTR_DET which has the following values -
1.Description - 04/03/2009 & Display Value - "Q2-2009"
2.Description - 07/05/2009 & Display Value - "Q3-2009"
3.Description - 10/02/2009 & Display Value - "Q4-2009"
These 4 quarter values are updated for every year
Hence, I need to compare values, on the basis of these values.
The Quarter for the Close Date has to be compared to Quarter which includes "Today"
As far as i know, JulianQuarter divides the year into exactly 4 parts, but as you can see, the values are not same as the quarter values, i need to use.
It would be surely great if you could help me solve this, as i am new to siebel.
I was trying to try with Lookup as well.
(The Following way, i was trying, but did not work
-Field1 is a calculated field - Lookup(QTR_DET,[Close Date])
-Field2 is a calculated field - Lookup(QTR_DET,Today())
-InPresentQuarter is a calculated field - IIF((Field1 = Field2), "N", "Y")
And this was further used for the Field Read Only Field: [Field Name] to make it read only)
Also please let me know, if this is the right way.

Hi,
   If you choose 'only plant related conditions allowed' option in OMF0, then the info records can be created with plant only, you cant create central contracts etc.
   Since the issue is for only one condition type, I would suggest you to go for access sequence with plant for the condition type. Create a new access sequence for the condition type with condition table containing plant (and any other characteristic as required) and assign the same to the condition type. Maintain the condition type with "Not possible to process manually". Maintain the condition record accordingly in MEK1 with relevant plant.
   Now the condition type will be available automatically, based on the plant, in PO. The user wont be able to insert it manually.
   If the condition is a manual condition as of now, then you can create a new condition table with plant only as characteristic. Maintain the condition record with blank value. Now the condition will be always visible in PO with blank value for the particular plant.
   You may check the option and revert back.

I wanto retrieve result in the following form:

TName and TicketNos must be grouped by DateIssue. Since "Group By" clause uses agregate functions only, therefore this type of query will not run:

Getting Reason Code, Condition Type, and Condition Value in one report

Hello there,
I have got a Question for you all BW Gurus. I need the answer for this as soon as possible. I will assign points to all helpful answers.
I am having a Sales cube, Delivery Cube, and a Conditions Cube which I built. Each cube is populated from different ODS. Means there are 3 ODS for 3 cubes. I am joining these 3 cubes under a Multiprovider.
My Question is:
We are using Reason Codes at Delivery level. We have identified an empty field in the delivery tables and populating this field with the reason codes. We have condition type and condition value only in the Condition cube. One of the reporting requirements is that we need to see Reason code, Condition Type, and Condition value in one report. I am planning to report on the Multiprovider. Since Reason code, Condition Type, and Condition value are not present in all the 3 cubes (means they are not common characteristics in the Multiprovider), I dont think I can get those values in one report if I report on the Multiprovider. Please correct me if I am wrong. If what I say is correct, please tell me how to solve my problem. Once again, helpful answers will be greatly appreciated and rewarded with points.

CO-PA: value field correction due to miscalculated SD condition value

HI,
we are using ECC 60 SP11. Due to incorrect condition value calculation in SD this condition value (only used in CO-PA) is posted on a CO-PA value field causing wrong CO-PA results.
As the SD document (invoice) will not be changed anymore a reversal/reposting in CO-PA (ke4s) does not solve the problem.
My idea of value correction (only in CO-PA, I do not care about KEAT in that case...) is to use RKECADL1 to logical delete the old documents and to create a LSMW for ke21n to repost the documents again with the right value for the affected value field.
The question is, the document reference of the old (wrong) CO-PA document shows the billing document and its logical deleted by RKECADL1. My new document does not have a document reference to this billing document as the document source is ke21n.
Any idea how to "change" the document reference in a way that document flow for the billing document shows the ke21n-created document (with the right condition value)?? If I don not change it, document flow will not show any CO-PA document for that case (the old one is logical deleted, the ke21n-doc. is not linked to it)
I want avoid manual changes in Ce1**** as its a dirty solution and I am not completely sure if/which other tables are affected.

The only way to effect the document flow is to cancel and repost the document. if that is not possible then KE21N - Create Line Items will fix your issue in COPA but this will not appear in billing. You can enter data fields that coonect to billing doc etc.

I call a Windows live SDK logon function, GreetUser(); when the apps loads on start-up as below. If I navigate to another page then back again the logon calls again.
How can I make it call the function only once?

I'm sure a real programmer would use something more sophisticated. I am a fake programmer. So, I use very simplistic solutions for this kind of thing.
In the App.xaml.cs page, create a static bool variable. This will be your app global variable. Initialize it to true.

Now, in the page that you posted the code from, modify it to this.

Condition value need to be applicable only once

Hi,
I am working on solution to define set up cost for machined components. When components needs to be ordered, irrespective of the quantity there will be a fixed cost for the given material which is other than the normal unit price.
Although I can simply define a fixed value condition, it will not solve my problem. When we run MRP, based on MRP area requirements / project requirements, each of the requirement for the same material can come as different line items in a PR and when we covert the same into a PO, there is always a possibility that same material can appear in several line items. If I use fixed value type of condition, this value will appear for all such line items for that given material which is not the desired situation.
I think I can't even use condition grouping functionality (I am not very sure of this), as same condition if used for other materail number in the same PO, it should consider that value.
I am looking for a solution, how to define a condition that will be applicable only once for a particular material number in one given PO.
Any ideas / help? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply but I am not clear how it will solve my problem.
Please note:
1. Manually intervention is impossible as volume of such scenario and materials are very high.
2. MAP of the material should be impacted with the cost which is to be paid as set up cost which is nothing but fixed cost for that given material at PO level.
3. During IV, the condition value should be available for processesing (not to be provided manually).
Will definitely reward points if it can help me in solution.

How do I make something happen only once on a true condition in a loop

So I have a way of doing this, but it uses a dreaded local variable, and seems to me that it might be unreliable.
What I want to happen is to have something happen only once on a condition that will remain true. What I need is to set something after a given amount of time, but I only want to set it once after that time has been reached. Problem is, if I use a range, it could be true more than once, if I use a greater than, it'll be true every time after the set time, and if I use an equal, there's no way to know that the particular millisecond value will even appear in the loop.
Maybe I'm wrong in even using those comparison functions... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. See the attached vi for a better look at what I'm trying to do... (v7.0)

The "Idle" state that the help file refers to is the "non-running"
state. The Top Level VI must end execution before any "First Time" VIs will
return TRUE after being called initially.
Therefore, if your application calls a subVI at the beginning of the
Test portion, on the next iteration of the loop it will return FALSE
from that subVI, since your main VI never stopped running, and received
a TRUE from the "First Time" on the initial test loop.
If you have code that you want to execute only on the first run of your
entire program, "First Time" should work fine. If you have code that
you only want to execute on the first iteration of just the Test loop,
the "First Time" VI is not ideal.
I think that shift registers are going to provide the best solution,
however you mentioned that for your particular application that is not
ideal. Could you describe a little bit more why shift registers are
problematic?

How to make for loop pass only once in a next() method

What I actually trying to do is that I have a multiple tables and from these tables I'm going to write each of it into a flatfile that is a pipe delimeted that is why I have to make a loop to know how many fields I am going to write. The code that was attached are actually working, my only concern is that it will take a longer time of processing cause every record of a table it will pass to the for loop(checking how many column) wherein number of column/ were already known on the first loop.
