To use page_number and total_page_number built-in functions in a variable

Hi,
Our requirement is to leave a blank page after odd no of pages in a repeating frame.(eg after each invoice). I am able to do it by giving a page break after the last object when pages are odd.Problem is that report counts the blank page also and displays in the field whose source is total page number.Is there any way i can give a blank page and show correct no of pages.

I have been able to get a blank page as mentioned in my question, by putting an object at end and giving a page break when pages are odd. Problem is i need to exclude this page count from total no of pages.
eg. For one invoice we have 3 page output and i include a blank page after this. Our requirement is to show total no of pages as 3 not 4.but total no pages function includes blank page also in count and shows as 4. is there any way we can control total no of pages behaviour?

The basic answer is that Apple has not programmed the capture routine with this capability. As such, you can always send QT feedback requesting this feature be added as a future enhancement.

I have found cas32() atomic function in (solaris 10) </usr/include/sys/atomic.h> (and also there is another atomic.h header file in </usr/include/atomic.h> but this header file does not have any cas32() function declarations) the declaration of cas32 in <sys/atomic.h>
is as follows

And if i use the function other than cas32 group of instruction

in <sys/atomic.h> it is giving no error where as for CAS32 it showing as undefined symbol.Why it is giving like that we are not able to know.Is it the case that CAS32 instruction only available in Kernel mode and not available to user mode.Please inform us if anyone knows how to use cas32() instruction in the user C programs.As this is usefull for writing Nonblocking versions of stacks and Queues.Is there any way to write
our own atomic functions?

I am trying to read a text box from a programme running at the same time as my Labview application using calls to the Windows
User32.dll. I believe I need to find the window handle for the 'form' containing this text string and use this together with
various other defined input variables to access the sting.
I have no experience of using this 'Call Library Function Node', but have an understanding of the 'C' programming language. Does anyone have
example Labview code showing how this might be done.

If you're trying to access information that's being displayed in the window of another application and that application has no ActiveX interface, then yes, Windows calls can be used. There's a very good example on calling DLLs that ship with LabVIEW. Open the Example Finder (Help->Find Examples) and switch to the Search tab. Enter "Call" in the search box and open the VI "Call DLL". Run the VI, select any of the examples, and click the "Open Example VI..." button. That shows you how to call a DLL.
Now, given that you have no experience in calling DLLs, have only an "understanding" of C (which to me means you have never written something like a DLL), and don't seem to know that much about what Windows functions you may need, you're going to find this route pretty difficult, especially since you have to deal with Windows API calls, which are not always that easy to do from LabVIEW.
Let me propose an alternate solution. Go over to http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/ and download AutoIt. This is an automation tool that allows you to automate just about anything you want. It has an ActiveX interface that you can call from LabVIEW. I've attached an example VI that shows you how to use it to get the value of a text box from one of the tabs in the computer "System Properties" control panel applet.

How to call the built in functions from flex?

I want to use some of the Built in functions like the twelvesprints.getActivityOwnerId() in flex. From the java example i could make out that we needed to import some classes to do this but was unable to find them for flex.

Below are some converters/adapters to look at. If these look like they may work:
USB 2.0 to HDMI Audio Video 1080P Adapter for Windows and Macbook
Matrox DualHead2Go D2G-A2D-IF (or look here)
These should allow you to run multiple displays in extended display mode. Note that these use HDMI as an output so you would need some additional adapter to conver HDMI to whatever your displays require. Of course these suggestions are all academic if such an adapter doesn't exist.
Update:
I just reread your last post and I am confused. Is it only your TV that you are trying to run in extended display mode? I thought you wanted more than two displays. If only the TV it should just work if you are not using mirrored displays. Your Displays Arrangement tab should show both your main screen (one with the little whith menu bar) and the TV. Set the proper resolution and refresh rate for the TV using it's Displays preference window. That is all you need to basically do (ignoring overscan/underscan problems).
Note, if you are using Lion then I have heard that when using full screen mode in Lion additional screens show nothing.

A string is internally represented by a character array. An array of characters will reside on the stack, not the heap. Yes, we always learned that String is a reference type, but what goes on in your memory might still surprise you...
A struct is internally represented by only it's private properties, sequentially on the stack.
So basically, what I thought is happening by messing with the structlayout: is only tricking our programming a bit into thinking that the top X bytes on the stack represent a chararray, while actually we put them there as a string.

Using SSRS Built in Functions in SharePoint

Hi there,
I currently have a number of reports deployed on a SharePoint site at work. I would like to monitor who actually uses which report and when they ran the report and also how long the report ran for. This is for auditing purposes and getting an idea
of the performance of these reports.
I came across the following built in functions on SSRS; UserID, ReportName, ReportServerUrl and ExecutionTime. Is it possible to use these functions somehow in SSRS & SharePoint whenever someone accesses a particular report and perhaps write this
information to a SharePoint list within our SharePoint site.
If this is possible, how would I go about doing this?
Also, some of our reports run off parameters, is it possible to capture what parameters were used as well?

If you have Pages you can create customs pages for your book as TD suggested. If you have Pages from iWork 09 or 11 this app will add 80 or so additional frames to those offered: Frames and Strokes Installer. Don't use it on the latest Pages version, however.

I'm publishing it with GoDaddy and when I do that the interactive functions of the blog page don't work. (Adding comments and photos as well as searching). Is there any simple way to host this site somewhere so that those functions work?

No, because all those functions were MobileMe only and now that MobileMe has gone, they won't function any longer.
To enable these to function, you either need to add them yourself or change your blogging platform to something else such as WordPress etc., and create a link from iWeb to your WordPress blog or embed the blog page using iframe into your iWeb site.
Commenting systems such as Disqus or http://www.intensedebate.com work quite well.

Bad performance due to the use of AGO and TO_DATE time series functions

Hi all,
I'm building an OBI EE Project on top of a 1TB DW, and i'm facing major performance problems due to the use of the AGO and TO_DATE time series functions in some of the Metrics included on the reports. I discovered that when a report with one of those metrics is submited to the DB, the resulting query/explain plan is just awful!... Apparently OBI EE is asking the DB to send everything it needs to do the calculations itself. The CPU cost goes to the roof!
I've tried new indexes, updated statistics, MV's, but the result remains the same, i.e., if you happen to use AGO or TO_DATE in the report you'll get lousy query time...
Please advise, if you have come across the same problem.
