TOC Does Not Synchronize

I have a large WebHelp file containing 775 topics in it. Most
of these are field descriptions. In the TOC, I have a book titled
Fields- A to Z. When I click one of the fields that begin with a
higher letter in the alphabet (e.g., M), the TOC does not jump to
that location. Instead, it jumps back to the top of the book (in
the A's). In my WebHelp settings for the file generation, I have it
set to automatically synchronize the TOC. I do not have this
problem with my other (smaller) WebHelp files.
Has anyone else come across this problem?

After the TOC jumps back to the top of the book, scroll down.
You will find the selected topic actually is highlighted.
So WebHelp (1) properly highlights the selected topic, then
(2) refreshes from the top of the book. We haven't found a good way
to kill step (2).
A possible strategy is to divide the TOC into books, each
with no more topics than will fill the left column. With all the
other books collapsed, the current topic line won't disappear below
the bottom. If you click a link to a topic in another book, the new
book should open from its first topic and the selected topic is
highlighted.
It's not a great solution, I know.

    "page2.htm" - Robohelp will just expand to the first one.[/li]

    That's the default behavior for Webhelp.
    Thanks for your advice on handling multiple
    calls in the TOC to the same topic - I have some deliberately
    duplicated topic links so this will be useful. However, I don't
    think this is the cause of problem. I built the TOC myself and
    there are only 5 duplicated TOC entries, but the problem I am
    having is occurring with non-duplicated TOC entries.

    Thanks for responding! I uninstalled and reinstalled RoboHelp 11 and the WeHelp appears to display OK now. BUT, I have graphics in my project that are not displaying, only the empty placeholder for the graphics. This was displaying fine in WebHelp generated with RoboHelp 9 but not now. I see the graphics when I do “Preview Topic” but not in the generated WebHelp. Any clues what is causing this behavior? How can I correct it?
    My tables appear very strange too. They are the default table in RoboHelp with the raised gray/silver border. However, in WebHelp, the tables appear as double solid black lines for the border. The tables appear fine in the topic but when viewed via “Preview Topic” and WebHelp output, they are double black likes. Help!
    Another thing is that I also get an occasional message about a topic that says “The reference to the file  contains illegal characters and will not be shown in Project Manager. How can this be? My css is valid and I use it in numerous help projects.

    My Nokia N70 does not synchronize my outlook once off appointments but only reoccurring ones with Windows 7 as operating system & MS Office 2007 using PC Suite version 7.1.40.1 Why it was working before with older PC Suites?

    I had a similar problem.  there are many solutions, not anyone works for everyone. 
    Here is what I did:
    In the windows file manager, under properties, for each of the files, in the iTunes programs directory.
    AppleMobileDeviceHelper
    ituneshelper
    Synchserver
    to xp compatibility mode.
    Do NOT change compatibiliy mode on itunes.exe.
    It only applies to Window Vista and newer.
    It appears that apple does not play nice with Windows.  The relationship with Microsoft is tenuous, and fixes come late and lst.

  • TOC does not include hyperlinks in export to PDF

    I created an eBooklet in Pages, but when I export it to PDF, the TOC does not include hyperlinks to the pages. There aren't any signs of the TOC including links in the original Pages document, either.

    The iWork '09 DVD can be had at Amazon. You will need to apply the Apple IWork 9.3 updater to bring the applications to their last revision, and compatibility with Mavericks and Yosemite. The help menu in Pages ’09 v4.3 has a link to the that specific PDF user guide. The Number '09 guide is there too. The Keynote  '09 PDF User Guide is here.
    Pages v5 documents are not directly backwards compatible with Pages '09. You will need to export the content as Pages '09. Since Pages v5.5.1 is lacking nearly 100+ features that were in Pages '09, you must take care with opening Pages '09 documents in Pages v5. It will filter out content that it does not support (e.g. linked text boxes).
    Any double-click on a Pages document with both applications installed, will default to opening in Pages v5.5.1. Deliberate effort is required to open Pages '09 documents, either by the Pages '09 file chooser, or a two-finger tap (on your Air) to bring up the secondary menu that has Open with > Pages (4.3) on it.

    In my iTunes I do not want to sync new songs I add to the library.
    I deleted the iTunes on your computer from anywhere possible and then reinstall it but still it does not synchronize my new songs I add to the library.
    What should I do and how I fix this problem?
    The iTunes version is 9.2.0.61

    For music files purchased via the iTunes Store, Apple has used the following file extensions -
    .m4a unprotected AAC format music files
    .m4p protected AAC format music files
    .m4b protected Audio Books
    .m4r unprotected ringtones in AAC format
    As you can see Apple have never used .mp4 for music files via the iTunes Store.
    For videos Apple use .m4v and these are in H.264 format.
    You could try changing the file extension to .m4a, first then see if it plays on your computer and then try re-synching it.

    I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago.  I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam.  I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase. 
    Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions.  Could you please explain? 
    I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items.

        Hello Zeni,
    Ensuring your daughter is able to communicate while she's mobile is extremely important. I'm terribly sorry for the mobile number change disabling her sim card.
    One good suggestion here from the community was to remove the sim card and reinsert it.  I do want to elaborate on that a bit.  You should have the phone completely powered off and I would recommend the sim to be out for at least 30 seconds.
    Put the sim back in and power the phone back on.  Hopefully that will kick it into gear on the database side.  If not the new sim will work.

    Hotmail aps does not work properly in mail.
    I get my mail and am able to reply and do all the things that I can do with my mail aplication; however when I try to delete the junk mail and all of the other stuff that needs to be deleted, mail does not actually delete anything of Hotmail account. My account is just getting bigger becouse mail does not synchronize.
    Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

  • RHS9 & RH8/Clicking links to topics more than 3 "deep" in the TOC does not open the TOC

    Our IT department recently purchased and installed RoboHelp Server 9. I am publishing two RoboHelp 8 projects to the server using WebHelp Pro output. When I view the projects, I am able to navigate the table of contents without issues, but if I click on a link in a topic that links to another topic that is 3 or more "deep" in the table of contents, the topic will display in the main window but not open its location in the TOC. I am able to navigate the topic in the TOC myself and view it without a problem.
    The behavior we expect when clicking on a link to a topic that has an entry in the TOC is that the TOC will open and highlight the topic as well as open it in the main window. We need this functionality because we use a "recent updates" page and would like our staff to see where a topic is located in the TOC after they click the link to the topic.
    This behavior does not occur with items two levels deep in the TOC or with our current WebHelp output. Using our smaller, 600 topic project, we tried removing all TOC books except for one that went 3 levels deep and then tried to duplicate the behavior - but it worked fine. So, we suspect that it is an issue with RoboHelp Server and the number of topics/TOC entries we have. (Roughly 600 in one project and 1500 in another)
    We have attempted the Adobe fix described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/books-topics-missing-toc-webhelp.html which results in the same behavior, as well as some new behavior when attempting to access items 3 or more deep in the TOC - the message, "Loading, click here to cancel..." displays and the topic will not load. (Similar to this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4116269#4116269) We've since reinstalled the server, republished the projects and we're back to square one.
    Any thoughts on this behavior? We're at a loss at this point.

    Often, when this issue arises with regular WebHelp, I will advise the following change. Perhaps it will help with WebHelp Pro, I'm not sure. But it's worth trying to see.
    In the Single Source Layout properties for WebHelp, look in the Navigation section and change the Speed Optimization.
    I just checked my WebHelp Pro and really don't see anything similar that jumps out at me for this setting, so I'm guessing the suggestions in that link are possibly a way of doing that.

  • PC Suite does not synchronize messages

    Hey guys,,, have some little probs with the interplay of my brand new Nokia N70 and PC Suite. PC Suite works perfectly, including contact synchronization, notes synchronization, sending messages! Unfortunately SMS messages cannot be displayed under Nokia Phone brwoser -> Nokia N70 -> messages. When tryin to do so, the updating progress takes ages, buggers up the system and finnally the explorer stucks. Sometimes, but not always an error message "cannoction is not possible" (translated from German, actual words may be slightly different). At the same time, I cannot open the Message function of my Nokia N70 phone and it also stucks! On the other hand, sending SMS via PC Suite works fine, also the sent SMS will be displayed in the "Sent" folder on the mobile... I already disabled my firewall (which should usually not interfer with the functioning of the software), downloaded the latest PC Suite Software, updated my Windows and updated the firmware, still the problem persists and makes it impossible to read and manage SMS messages on the PC. Data: OS: XP, SP2, German PC Suite: Nokia_PC_Suite_682_rel_22_0_ger_web.msi Connection: CA-53 USB Connection cable Would be glad for any kind of suggesstions...     Uninstall MMS plugin from phone (you can find it from installed applications)...After that restart PC and phone. Does it help??
    If not...run "Get Connected" (it installs that MMS plugin back to phone).

  • ICloud does not synchronize Outlook 2007 with ipad

    I want to synchronize outlook calendar with iPad calendar. I installed ICloud on the PC, choosed calendar for synchronizing, allowed iPad to synchronize with iCloud and started. The first synchronization worked. Both calendars on Outlook and iPad looked the same. Now I thought, that any new thing on each of the calendars would be pushed immediately to the other calendar. This does not work. Is there a time limit or did I need to make some more changes?

    Here's the solution provided by Risco in the iPhone 3GS forum. It's the only one that I found that works for exactly the same problem on both the iPhone 3GS and the iPad. I might add that I was also getting two other error message every time I connected to iTunes ("Mobile Sync stopped working," and "Yahoo Go Sync stopped working").
    Here it is (for Windows):
    Go to Program Files ( x86 if using 64 bit )
    Open Common Files
    Open Apple
    Open Apple Application Support
    Copy the Sqlite3.dll
    Go to the windows folder
    Open system32 if on 32bit, or syswow64 if on 64bit
    Find the sqlite3.dll
    Rename it to sqlite.dll.bk (if none there, go directly to Paste step below)
    Paste the new one in there
    Open iTunes and it should sync everything fine and no errors!

    Well, we finally have the "synchronizing update" to Link.
    This is greeted with a warme welcome and many happy faces, not doubt.
    However:
    - after following the instructions, the sync runs, claim to be completed, but the agendas have not swapped appointments...  ie the synch does not work.
    I have tried to use the "local" calendar and the "Link" calendar options in the Q10 - makes no difference.
    Has anyone been successful in using this synchronizing software?
    Please note, this is to synchronize with the laptop, not an online email service.

    Thank you for your question regarding Calendar synchronization using BlackBerry Link.
    Have you been able to verify whether or not the synchronization process updates in either direction? Are you using the steps as listed here and have you tried selecting the remove device function, reconfiguring the synchronization settings and completing the process again?

    You don't say whether or not temporarily removing it
    identified the conflict. If it is, whose fault is it, Adobe's or
    the Firebug people?
    You can only report it as a bug to both and see what happens.
