TOC inside FOR EACH
Hi,
i have come across a requirement where i need to place a table of content inside a conditional loop. Basically, requirement is to get ToC for each opportunity in an XML.
At the moment, i tried inserting the TOC using MS Word features but the output PDF/RTF is not rendering the table of contents. It is coming blank.
The TOC is only rendered if it is placed outside the BIP code.
is there any workaround for this, where i can place an MS WORD TOC inside BIP code.
Many thanks
Rohit
Hy all,
I've the same problem with TBW : putting a toc in a for each loop doesnt render in pdf output. It works outside loop but not inside. Any solution since las t post on subject ?

Hi I am trying to date sort inside for each but it is not working i am using below code
<?for-each:G_3?><?sort:BEG_DT;'ascending';data-type='text'?>BEG_DT END_DT <?end for-each?>
Can any one please let me know how to solve this?
Thanks in Advance
Have a nIce Day.depends on the format you have in the BEG_DT, if its not in YYYY-MM-DD, you may see some different order.
All sorting works well if you use the date in canonical format.
if you want to force to code., then do this.
<?sort:concat(substring(BEG_DT,7,4),substring(BEG_DT,1,2),substring(BEG_DT,4,2),'0');'descending';data-type='number'?> -

SSIS Help For each Loop Container
I need a little help with this process that I am developing. I am fairly new to SSIS so please bear with me. I have done research online so If I seem limited in my knowledge please apologize me.
Requirement: I have a folder where we will have flat files monthly they could be one or more...
each file will have the following name standard "123456.EEAKQ2.EASDREWA12A.BID".
What I need to do is maintain a table which will have filename and date when it was added to the folder.
I have created a package with the following components "For each loop" which grabs files from a source folder.
This is where I am stuck. I need to grab the file name from the path and insert it into the table.
Can someone help me with this?
Thank you
FM
FMSee similar requirement implemented here
What you need is to declare and use a variable inside for each loop to get filename each time. Then you may use script task to check for pattern within the file for identifying correct files

Based on the description, I understand that you want to add subreport in the main report. When previewing the main report, the subreport can be shown in detail. Please see the screenshots on my test:
In Reporting Services, we can create parameters and pass them from main report to subreport in order to control the data dynamically.

Here's How to change the image on the TOC to be different for each chapter.
Suppose you don't follow the Very Strict default Rule that you use the exact same image parameters (shape, pixels, size, etc.) for your Table of Contents image entry as you use for its associated Chapter, a requirement built in to iBooks Author that applies universally to ALL Chapters under the One Image Size and Location is Best For Everyone rule. Suppose you start adding chapters and messing with each chapter's image and then, later, it occurs to you to get the TOC all set up and when you go there you encounter a mess. Either by chance one of the images you had in one of your chapters found its way to the TOC and, gosh, now every TOC entry for every chapter has the very same exact size and location image! This is not part of your grand plan and then... how to make lemonade here? It's Not Obvious.
You can resolve this in your favor. You must do this patiently.
First, whatever image size is created in any chapter TOC window—by dragging the image placeholder handle re-size box—will apply to ALL image entries (i.e., chapter image entries) in the TOC . If you want maximum flexibility make the image placeholder box big. Hint: you may need to mess with the Edit Mask option in order to get the image placeholder size box in the size and location you want. An option here in preparing your images is to **** with Photoshop or Preview to really engineer the images that will be used for the Chapter Page and, separately, the TOC / these could be the same content images but formatted differently in order to look nice in their respective locations. The Chapter Page image can be manipulated on the Chapter Page. On the other hand, the TOC image must fit within whatever (universal) size you've created.
Plan ahead
Get your TOC images ready.
Loop until done:
a) from the Finder menu, right click on the filename of the image to be put in the TOC / select the menu item “Copy”..this image. This puts the image in the clipboard. Another way to get the image in the clipboard is to pull it up with Preview and pretend to crop it (full size) then command-C. Another way: just click on it if it is in a file somewhere and again command-C.
b) Click on the Table of Contents option (near the top of the left navigation column in ibooks Author ) and navigate to the TOC chapter for this image by clicking on the correct chapter “button” (a white dot in a black background surrounded by a white rounded-corner box) in the center bottom of the TOC chapter window;
c) Click on the image placeholder in this chapter TOC window to reveal the highlight boxes defining the boundary of the image;
d)command-V (paste); Voila! the image is in the TOC. NOTE: dragging the image into the highlighted imagebox (see c) above) will NOT work.
e) mess with the image by clicking the mask editor button so the image fits as desired being careful to move the image only and not resize the image box.
Go back to loop and repeat.Finally, after a while, I finally found all the procedure explained,

External ID (SSCC / EXIDV) for each item inside a heterogeneous pallet
Hello experts,
I need to generate an external ID (SSCC code) to each item (box) inside a multi-product HU(pallet) in my system.
In normal operation, my system picks up a delivery and packs it, creating standard HUs (one fixed quantity of one material), and/or heterogeneous Hus (non-standard quantities of one or more materials) inside a pallet for each item in the delivery. Each pallet (HU) created has an entry in VEKP table and a distinct SCCC stored in field EXIDV. Iu2019m using shipping materials of type pallet.
If I need a different SSCC to each BOX inside the non-standard pallet, what is the better approach?
- Create shipping a material with type BOX
- For each HU created, unpack it using BAPI_HU_UNPACK
- For each BOX inside the initial HU, create a shipping material type BOX with a new EXIDV (SSCC), and pack inside it a box, and then pack this shipping material back into the initial HU?
To have one EXIDV for each box, I canu2019t group (sum) the quantities even if they correspond to a some material.
This seems to me the only way to solve this problem, but it will be a hard work.
Can someone point a simplest way to turn around this problem?
Thank you
Best regards
Paulo SousaI kept researching, I found some possible solution in this blog:

Usage of for-each loop inside another for-each loop
Hi All,
I have tried using a for-each loop inside another for-each loop as given below.
<?for-each:G_1?>
<Customer Details>
<?for-each:G_2?>
<Address>
<?end for-each?>
<?end for-each?>
Its not getting inside the second loop.I have referred this link
Re: Loop Question but it didn't help me much.Please let me know if am going wrong somewhere.
Regards,
Sudeep.Sudeep,
The syntax of the for-each statements looks oke. but you have omitted some question marks after the < and before the >.
Furhermore, there cannot be spaces in XML element names. So, "Customer Details" won't work. Change it to something like: "Customer_Details". Also be reminded that the element names are case-sensitive.
try this:
<?for-each:G_1?>
<?Customer_Details?>
<?for-each:G_2?>
<?Address?>
<?end for-each?>
<?end for-each?>

Bursting Reports via email with seperate email address for each page
I have been reading "Oracle® Application Server Reports Services Publishing Reports to the Web" (most specifically chapter 15 Creating Advanced Distributions) trying to figure this out but still having difficulty getting my head around it.
I am trying to email invoices when applicable. Here is the "perfect world scenario".
Report is scheduled to run once a day.
Any qualifying invoices are picked up in the run.
If there is an email address associated with the record the invoice is sent via email. (email address would be included on report and variable)
If no email address is associated, the invoice is printed.
There could/would be several different invoices on a single run.
Does this mean I have to write dynamically write a distribution.xml file for each run or can I pass the email address as a variable to the distribution.xml?
(builder version 10.1.2.0.2)
bump
Edited by: sdortch on May 21, 2009 9:09 AMHi !
You're able to use Report-Variables (e.g. from a Group in the Data Model) in the distribution.xml-File to send email to different adresses.
Just bear in mind that you also need to set the "repeat-on" Property of the relevant layout section and use a "foreach"-Loop in the distribution.xml.
So, no, no "dynamic" building of xml-Files necessary (though we do it at times...).
See also "Publishing Reports to the web" for a complete reference on "burst distribution" and the components of the distribution.xml
I would, however, run the report twice, once for "all email-invoices" with email-distribution file, once for "all invoices w/o email-adress" with (probably) printer-distribution file, as "exception" handling inside a distribution.xml could be a bit awkward...

How do you limit TOC navigation for multiple users on one computer?
If you have 5 Adobe Captivate 5.5. Projects linked together to play consecutively how can you set up a TOC so that each new user starts from the beginning and can only go back to slides that the new user has viewed? We have the TOC set to Enable Navigation, Navigate Visited Slides Only, and View Status Flag. This is a required training video that will be taken by many users. We need them to be able to go back to the sections that they already viewed but not be able to see the sections that others have already watched. In other words, we don't want them to be able to advance ahead to the sections that the previous test takers have viewed.
Message was edited by: DOLOnlineTrainers
Problems:
• Remove the TOC and they have no navigation abilities to see something they may have missed
• Keep it in and the viewer can advance to parts they have not viewed as the previous user set the ability
• Put a back button in and they can only go back one at a time and have no ability to get back to where they were if they keep hitting back other than watch over
• Tried the clear button in TOC under status flag which clears the status flags yet it only works on one section at a time and does not clear all linked projects
• Is there something we are missing? Tried reading blogs and really can’t pinpoint problemTo get each user to have a different experience when viewing the content, you need to have some way for each user to be uniquely identified, otherwise the browser has no way of knowing that THIS is not the same person that was looking at the content an hour ago. The way this is normally achieved is by getting users to log in as a different profile.
There's no EASY way I can think of to achieve what you want WITHOUT users having different profiles. You would need to get some custom HTML programming done by someone that basically mimicked separate browser sessions under the same login. It's theoretically possible, but I've never been required to do anything like this. -
Web application with RAD tool inside for dynamic JSP building
I would realize a J2EE Web application based on JSP,Struts and eventually Spring for transaction management and iBatis for data access in my opinion very complex.
The application presents search, list and detail pages, and the information visibility depends on the user.
Each edit page could be based on a single page or many tabs, and a tab could contain entity's information or information associated to the entity subject of the page, displayed as list. The informations in editing phase will be controlled by javascript rules.
A web application administrator will set the information's grants (hidden, readonly, read and write) for each entity managed inside the application.
Now there is the complication: each page (search, list, detail) must be built by the web application administrator with a configurator/builder directy inside the same web application on the server!
For example, for a detail page:
1) each tab must be defined and named: so I can't develop a static number of tabs, in which I managed a fixed set of data inside each of these tabs. I must develop a page with all the entity's fields and all the rules, and then the web application administrator set which informations must be available for each tab from the same page detail developed. The tabs in which there's a list could be displayed or not, and the data in the list follow the grants setted by the web application administrator.
2) the web application administrator can specify all the data inside a tab: every tab will be built indicating which fields show or edit if the user has the grants. For example for entity1, we could define a detail page for user1 with field1, field3 and field2, while for user2 we could define the detail page with tab1 within field2, and a second tab, tab2 within field3.
3) the web application administrator can specify the layout inside the tab, indicating the pixel position inside the tab, or the application could provide a visual tool, in HTML, in which there is a design area, and in which the web application administrator clicks in a point and positions in it an information, and even specify the style's properties (color, font, background,...)
4) the application must provide to the users the possibility to define new fields for an entity, and must manage them adding in whichever tab for that entity. For such informations will be possible only management without controls except the controls of type (data, int, money, ...)
In my opinion point 3 I think it's part of a report tool and not of detail visualization; moreover all the styles of a page must be personalized, not only the informations contained inside the tabs. I think the only solution in a highly configurabile application is to show the search/detail fields 1 for row, and not with a positioning based on pixel coordinates or positioning with a RAD tool.
I ask to you:
- have you ever seen or realized web application that they supply application design tools within the same application, realized in HTML+Javascript?
- is realizable this kind of application?
- ...any suggestion to supply for proceeding?
Honestly my ideas are to realize points 1 and 2; I suppose point 3 is not feasible and that the result of the styles customization is little appropriated; for point 4 I suppose to simplify the management of new data by managing all the new ones inside the same tab, or I will have to think another possible solution...
Thanks to everyone has interesting ideas or suggestions to give.have you ever seen or realized web application that they supply >application design tools within the same application, realized in >HTML+Javascript? Yes, Oracle HTML DB is one such purchasable off the shelf :)
is realizable this kind of application? I would think so - yes. It requiresa good team - 4 or 5 developers with excellent jsp/servlet knowledge :)
- ...any suggestion to supply for proceeding? Such kind of functionality is achievable only in 1 way-DB, always. You would store the information for each entity and the permissions for each attribute of that entity per user in the db. You can consider having roles (teams), assign permissions to the roles and then add users to the roles so that they inherit the permissions. You should be able to ovderride the permissions per individual user too.
I would say you first plan this out in a piece of paper, convert it into relationships in the db. Implementing the jsp solution is by far the easist (& tedious :)), IMO

How can I Create an individual MD5 file for each folder in a main directory?
The specs for a file delivery I'm making require an individual MD5 file per folder, with the contents of that folder being inside the MD5 file. Such as:
DAY_01 (MAIN FOLDER)
A01
-(files 1-1000)
-md5 for files 1-1000
A02
-files 1001-2000
-md5 for files 1001-2000
And so on. Is there a script or program that can make those MD5 files automatically or do I hace to go and do each one individually? ThanksI don't know of any pre-existing solution to your question, but it isn't hard to write one:
set theFolder to (choose folder)
tell application "System Events"
set subfolders to every folder of theFolder
repeat with eachFolder in subfolders
set fPath to (POSIX path of eachFolder)
set fName to name of eachFolder
set md5Filename to quoted form of (fName & ".md5")
do shell script "cd " & quoted form of fPath & "; /sbin/md5 * > " & md5Filename
end repeat
end tell
The idea here is that it asks for a folder to process. It then grabs a list of all the folders inside that folder (subfolders), then for each subfolder it extracts its POSIX path and the folder name, then it builds a shell command that actually goes to each folder, runs the md5 command (passing in all files), writing the output to a .md5 file named according to the folder. -
Looping through an array to get the index for each measure in a combo box
Hi folks,
I am working on a web application that has two combo boxes, one for year (called yearcombo) and for measures (called myURL) for that selected year, and also two radiobuttons (in radioBtnGroup). I have two years and a bunch of measure for each year. I have a map tool tip that when you mouse over the county you see a measure for that specific year. However I have a bunch of measures for each year and I want to be able to loop through the measures (which are in an array collection inside a combobox) so my "if" expression can find every selectedIndex and bring me the tool tip for that selected measure for that selected radio button. Right now I would have to create if statements for each measure (each selectedIndex inside the myURL combobox)and each radiobutton (inside the radioBtnGroup) instead of creating a if expression to get a map tip tool for each measure. I know I would have to create a loop to search for these indexes and enter that in the if expression and also change the graphic.attributes to reflect the right measure or index selected. Do you API for Flex wizards can give me any tips on how to code this according to my code below ? Any help is greatly appreciated! (the print scree is attached)
Below is the code snippet:
if (yearcombo.selectedItem.year == "2007" && myURL.selectedIndex == 0 && radioBtnGroup.selectedValue == 0)
fLayer.definitionExpression = "DATA_YEAR_TXT like '2007'"
var graphic:Graphic = Graphic(event.currentTarget);
graphic.symbol = mouseOverSymbol;
var htmlText:String = graphic.attributes.htmlText;
var textArea:TextArea = new TextArea();
try{
textArea.htmlText = myURL.selectedItem.label + graphic.attributes.ForDirIndOut.toString()
myMap.infoWindow.content=textArea
myMap.infoWindow.label = graphic.attributes.NAME;
myMap.infoWindow.closeButtonVisible = false;
myMap.infoWindow.show(myMap.toMapFromStage(event.stageX, event.stageY));}
catch(error:Error) {
