On Safari, I can not adjust the font size in Reader. why have app Facetime on iPhone 4, iPhone 4s?
Hopefully, Apple can continue to fix bugs in iOS 7 for the client and myself. On the iPad 3 and iPad 4 are also many more errors such as freezes, slow to open applications, the iOS app does not fit 7 tablet.

I am now running Windows 7 Ultimate on my Macbook Pro and the through VMware Fusion Software and I have a few questions about the ins and outs.

So far I have a few kinks to work out. While running Internet Explorer 8, I get the error message, " Cannot connect to the internet." In Networks on the control panel, it says that I am connected to a local area public network but there is no internet access. How do I establish a connection to my existing network which works with the mac os? Also, of course, programs like Adobe, Quick Time Player, and uTorrent/bitorrent are already installed on my computer. I am about to run specialized GIS software that may or may not need the full machine resources. I am an attorney who uses QuickBooks for my accounting. The Mac version does not do as much as the Windows version. This is from both Apple and Quick Books professionals. I am using Parallels Desktop version 8 at this time. It does not support QuickBooks Windows version per Parallels. Any other questions? I am a highly competent PC user who is new to Macs. I am entitled to my own configuration choices. That said, I know when I need help which is now.
As to the free space issue I have 665.18 GB free space out of 749.3 GB on the drive. I am not trying to run the 32 bit version. I know that it requires the 64 bit version. Besides, it does not get that far in the process. As I said Boot Camp asssitant terminates unexpectedly as soon as you hit the continue button after setting the partition size. Therefore I conclude that it does not have a chance to see which version of Windows that I am using. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version in the virtual engine (to use Parallels speak), but again Boot Camp would not see that since it is not running. It can't run at the momenet because Apple just installed a new hard drive and I have just restored the data from TIme Machine and Parallels needs reactivated, which I have not done yet deliberatley. With all of this addtiional information do you have any further suggestions? Thanks for your time and interest my issue.

I have a few questions about the warrenty for the iPhone 4

I just called technical support and they said since the vibrate on my phone is broken, they would send me a used phone, no cost to me. However, I have to send back my current phone and they said if they find out that I was the reason the phone is broken that they would have to charge me $300 for sending me the used one.
How could they know if it was my fault? As far as I know the vibrate just stopped working one day. What would have to be wrong with the phone for them to be positive that it was my fault? If they do come to the conclusion that it is my fault, how do they charge me? Can I cancel the order for the new one and just keep my old one?
My phone has minimal scratches on it, looks like it is practically brand new. If i receive the replacement phone tomorrow and change my mind, can I send it back with the prepaid label they send me?
Sure I would love a phone with vibrate in working condition but if it is going to cost me $300, I can deal without it.

@Dougnvic, no need to worry because I'm here to help! The vibrate function is very important especially when you're in a situation where you cannot have the ringer turned on.
If we replace your phone through the warranty you are only charged for the equipment if there is any damage on the phone. The normal wear and tare is expected and you will not be billed for the phone because of these scratches.
Once the phone is received it is inspected for any physical or liquid damage. If damage is found you are then billed for the phone and the charge will appear on your bill. You will also receive a text message advising you of the charge. Once you are billed the charge cannot be removed even if you return the replacement.
If you change your mind and do not want to have the phone replaced you can just return the replacement once you receive it and keep your current phone. Just use the prepaid return label that will be inside the box of the replacement.
If you are sure there hasn't been any damage then there is nothing to worry about. You will not be charged. You can also take the phone into a store and have a store representative take a look at the phone before you return it, if that makes you feel better.

Tethering via USB between the Z10 and a laptop or PC & and few Comments About the Playbook Tethering

Tethering via USB between the Z10 and a laptop or PC can be a bit tricky.
On the Z10 do the following:
On the Z10 go to the Settings.
Go to Network Connections.
Go to Internet Tethering.
Select USB.
Turn on Tethering.
On the computer run the Blackberry Link software for the Z10:
Once the software starts, connect the Z10 via the USB cable to the PC.
Open the browser.
You should now be able to cruise the net, and do emails.
With the Playbook, the Bluetooth tethering does not yet work. This may be an OS or communications issue.
The best way to tether the Playbook for full speed and functions is using the WiFi option. Simply turn on the WiFi hot spot option and follow the instructions. The Playbook WiFi must also be properly set up. The Z10 USB and Bluetooth tethering mode must be turned off when using the WiFi mode. You can leave the base Bluetooth active on the Z10. There is a lot of available information about using the WiFi hot spot from the Z10. The process is very similar to the past models of Blackberry phones.
If you use the Bridge mode to tether, the Playbook email client software does not work very well. The browser will work fairly well, but slower with the Bridge mode. With WiFi the Playbook can brows at very high speed. With Bluetooth it is restricted to about 1.5 to 2.5 mb/sec. Take care that the WiFi mode burns through battery time very fast on both the Playbook and the Z10. Using the Bridge mode uses less power consumption than WiFi.
To use the Bridge mode, make sure the Playbook and the Z10 are first Bluetooth mated. Also the Bridge mode has to be set up between the devices. You will have to first install the Bridge software in to the phone for this to work.
I did extensive testing between the Z10 and the Playbook. They function well together as far as Internet and email are concerned, in consideration of using either tether or Bridge, depending on what you want to do.
From what I understand the Bridge mode uses some compression. It will not be as fast as using WiFi or Bluetooth tethering. The data cost using the Bridge mode is probably a bit lower because of the compression.
As far as the Bridge phone options are concerned, these features are not yet available. From what I read in a number of articles there are going to soon be some updates coming out to fix this. The Bridge options are a big part of the tablet application with the Blackberry phone. This was the big original application point of this tablet, otherwise any generic tablet would do the job.

From the look of this thread it appears that no one outside of Canada uses an OS 10 BB yet. 247 views and no comments or help ? I'm sure I'm not the only BB user that uses Tether. If BB doesn't care to help then this will just be another nail in the corporate coffin that has been projected.
Maybe we need different forums for US users as the Canadians don't seem to have the same issues or cares.
The whole idea of the app Tether is not to have to pay the outrageous tethering fees that US carriers charge and it has worked well for years. But it can't work and won't work in the future without help from BB and the BB community.

I have an idea/comment about the 4s.

Hello, my idea is something that I have picked up on but not too sure if anyone else has. If you have Siri turned on, and your phone is locked and you need the 4 digit password to unlock it people can easily get past it. The way to do this is just holding down the middle button until Syri comes up, ask it a simple question like "Local resturants", when the list of resturants comes up just click on one, and it will take you to google maps, and boom your in. You guys should maybe do a fix for this, I think you can get past it using the camera also, thanks

Going through Siri will NOT let you into the phone to edit or make any changes if you have your phone password locked. As soon as you tap the screen or home button, the keypad to unlock the phone comes up - which means your example of "local resturants" will fail to gain access to the phone. Siri also will not do web searches while locked. You can also disable Siri from working while locked by changing a security setting (Settings-General-Pascode Lock). Furthermore, when using the camera while the phone is locked, you can only view and delete photos/videos (you can't even edit them) you are taking at that time , not any photos/videos that are in your photo's folders. If you take a picture when the phone is locked, that picture will not even go to the photo stream until you unlock the phone. So if you delete the picture before unlocking the phone, the picture is lost.
So basically, there is nothing to fix.

A few questions about the ka790gx and dka790gx

i have a few questions about the ka790gx and dka790gx , how much better is the dka790gx compaired to the ka790gx ? . how much difference does the ACC function make to overclocking etc , i plan on getting a phenom II 940BE or 720BE . i already have the ka790gx so would it be worth building another system using the dka790gx mobo , or should i keep what i already have and just change the cpu ?

It's largely irrelevant what other boards had VRM issues other than the KA790GX - the fact is it died at stock settings. Since there is little cost difference between the more robust DKA790GX (or Platinum if you really need 1394) why bother with the proven weakling? There are other examples around of the KA not having a robust power section. There's no way I would use even a 95W TDP CPU in the KA and absolutely not O/C.....!
As for the credentials of Custom PC, I have generally found their reviews accurate and balanced, and echo my own findings where applicable. If a little too infrequent.
The fact that the KA has such a huge VRM heatsink leads me to my other comments on the Forum, particularly regarding the "fudge" aspect:

Gigabyte's UD3 2oz copper mainboards sound like a good idea, on the face of it. However, without knowing how they have connected the device tabs to where and what remains a mystery. I suspect it is more hype than solution, although there will be some positive effect. From an electrical perspective, having lower resistance connecting whatever to whatever (probably just a 0V plane) is no bad thing.
The way the likes of ASUS sort of get round the problem is to increase the sheer number of MOSFET devices and effectively spread the heat dissipation over a larger physical area. This works to a degree, there is the same amount of heat being dissipated, but over several more square inches. The other advantage of this is that each leg of the VRM circuit passes less current and therefore localised heat is reduced. Remember that as well as absolute peak operating temperature causing reduced component life, thermal cycling stresses the mechanical aspects of components (die wire bonds for example) as well as the solder joints on the board. Keeping components at a relatively constant temperature, even if this is high (but within operating temperature limits), is a means of promoting longevity.
For myself, the first thing I do with a seperate VRM heatsink is take it off and use a quiet fan to blow air on to the VRM area of the PCB - this is where the heat is. This has the added benefit of actively cooling the inductors and capacitors too....
Cooling the epoxy component body is a fudge. If the epoxy (and thus any heatsink plonked on top of it) is running at 60C, the component die is way above that.....

A few questions about the Zen Mi

I'm looking into the Zen Micro 5GB, and I have a few questions that I couldn't find on the sight or aren't completely sure of. Sorry if I'm just blind and didn't see them, but I figured you guys could help.
) How do you charge the battery? I'm assuming its with some sort of adapter, and if so, is it included with the player?
2) It says Windows 98SE is compatible, so does this mean regular Windows 98 won't work at all? I'm currently using W98 but will probably be upgrading soon so it chouldn't be too much of a problem, but if W98 is supported I could order it sooner.
3) Will it work in tandem with a cassette adapter for a car? A cassette adapter isn't on the accessories page, but will one I already own work just fine?

the headphone jack problem is not really fixed. If you rather not have it happen to early, i would suggest you take really good care of your ZM's headphone jack. Just take good care of it. But the headphone jack problem may occur at any point, i dunno why. it is very strange, some owners are lucky that the problem will occur in 6-2 months or maybe not at all for now. There are some owners that are unlucky that the problem may occurred like 2 weeks to couople months. I am currently trying to take really good care of my ZM after all the great lessons i learned from my previous mp3 players.
the headphone jack problem isn't fix, so be cautious a bit.

We have read every Lumia review and we are listening. An open question to those who comment about the lack of apps for Windows Phone 8.Tell us which apps you miss? Nokia/MSFT Customer Care

The major apps that are missing are Banking Apps. There are a few, but major banks like Regions Bank, Capital One Bank, are nowhere to be found for Windows Phone. Microsoft should be pursuing these banks to develop apps for the platform. Maybe bribe them with free software or tech support or something. Also some of the dating apps like Grindr for the gay community, Blender for the straight community, are lacking as well. Perhaps Microsoft could assist them in developing the "unified" app for both Windows and Windows Phone?
In fact, Microsoft would do well to begin a "Developer Assistance Program" where developers could (for a small fee) contact the DAP Center and get assistance with issues creating apps for the Windows Platform. If developers know they have a source to go for assistance, they may be more inclinded to develop better apps.

Hey just doing a check. In. Do you have any more information about the Lightroom app for tablet? Like when it is coming out, what features will it have? Because I can't Waite. Especially for editing a raw file on a tablet. Excited.
I do have a Few questions. 1. Will the app have a library mode that allows the photographer to display the raw files on the app like how photo shop touch does. Example. When your import a photo from the iPad it shows up in the photo app that Apple makes. But when you take that photo into photo shop and save it as a psdx file, the project or photo does not show up in the original photo app by apple.
2. Will the app use the smart previews when you import a raw file on to the iPad the same as you do with a computer?
3. Do you have to Waite to go home to edit a raw file or can you edit on the tablet once you import the photo from camera to iPad? Instead of going home import to computer into Lightroom 5, then to adobe cloud, then to iPad.
4. Will the app display catalog, book, etc modes like Lightroom 5 has?

Have a few questions about iPad before I get one

I have a few questions about getting an ipad before I committ to get one.
I have about 24 gb of itunes purchases in my itunes library, I am thinking of getting the 64 gb ipad. However, after you purchase the 64 gb, it will not truly be 64 gb,
1) how much actual storage space would I have on a 64 gb ipad accounting for the os? On my macbook now I have a 164 gb hard drive but only access to about 148 gb for example.
2) Would I be able to store the 24 gb of itunes purchases in icloud? How would I do that? Would I keep needing to go into the Purchase History tab in the ITunes store and download the song when I want to listen to it? My concern with this is that the item will no longer be "available in the Itunes store" and I will lose access to my music I purchased?
I would like to ditch the laptop and just have the ipad as my computer but want to know about these questions I have first.
3) Can ipad and iphone now be charged without needing a laptop? Per last year's June 2011 conference when Lion and ICloud were announced, it was stated in Fall 2011 with iOS5 that people could get ipads and iphones and charge them without needing a laptop for syncing?

You do not absolutely need a computer in order to use an iPad but you have to do more research to figure out if it will fit your needs that way.

A few questions about the Catalyst driver...

I was wondering a few things about the Catalyst (fglrx) driver.
1. Is it really that big of a performance difference between the os drivers?
2. Does it crash a lot (is it known to?)
3. I tried to install, and it says it conflicts with libgl. libgl has a bunch of other stuff that depends on it. How can I get around that?
Thats it. I'll look around some more and see if I can find anything on my own.

if you have a pcie slot i'd really recommend the nvidia 7600 GS (note _not GT_) without active cooling (fan).
though you need some good case cooling while playing/load.
it consumes about 10W (idle) to 35W (heavy load) and is powerful enough to play doom3, halflife2 or nexuiz in high resolution.
but even if you don't play (actually i started playing some old games again when i bought this card), it's the least power-consuming nvidia card i found.

it's a pity with amd/ati graphics chips. the HW is good, the boards with the HD3200 chipsets are great, but the support/drivers are so miserable that it is mostly impossible for users to use them!
the OS drivers are good, but what's the sense of buying a 3d-card/chipset if the drivers do not support this feature.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.
