Toggle enabled/disabled on FloorPlan Manager step

Hi Experts
I am enhancing one of the standard ABAP WebDynpros for Travel Management.
In the Overview screen I have added a checkbox which the user selects to indicate that he/she accepts the terms and conditions.
The checkbox is linked to a WDYBOOLEAN in the controller context.
I want this checkbox to control the enablement of the "Review" button as well as the "Review and Send" step in the FloorPlan Manager breadcrumb.
Could somebody please explain to me how I can do this?

hi, you should process FPM Toolbar element programlly.
For example, you can use "Process_Event" method, in which you can modify the enable/disable of the standard toolbar element in FPM header.
1) You should know the Event-ID of the toolbar element
2) You should use the following example coding:
method PROCESS_EVENT .
*Check the incoming Event ID
CASE IO_EVENT->MV_EVENT_ID.
"Disable/Enable the Editable
WHEN 'EDIT_NOT'. "You desired Event ID
3) in that method, you should modify the enable/disable according to the context attribute which you mentioned been bound to the Check box.
For example, you can also bind one WDYBOOLEAN to the toolbar element "Review and Send""
In addition, you should know that OIF and GAF are different for toolbar element, you should differentiate them.

Floor plan manager steps comes disabled, is there a way I can make it clickable for a custom floor plan manager application, so that the user can move to different steps on his wish? Or is it better to go for a webdynpro app with a tab control or something of that sort as opposed to using FPM.. We are replacing an app in ESS, so would really like to use FPM...

Hi Ashish,
This is completely infeasible. You can not navigate by clicking the road map step. If your client is asking for such requirement you can tell him directly this is not possible at all.
ESS applications are not "display only" application. Road map steps are just to guide the user like where are they and what could be next step.
Summary: It is not possible.

Agent Collection disabled by upload manager - how to enable it

Hi
I am using EM grid control agent 10.2.
The upload is disabled in my machine.how to enable it?
and the agent is UP for a few minutes and goes DOWN again.
Can anyone help me on this please?

IPhone App Management: Enabling/Disabling Apps, Ordering by Usage Frequency

Hi Folks.
Does anyone know whether Apple or a 3rd party is moving to more sophisticate app management. I've got over 350 apps installed on my iPhone 3GS and it would be great if:
1) there was an option for ordering apps by usage frequency
2) there was a supported mechanism for app "playlists" (dumb or smart) which could control sets of apps currently being installed on the iPhone.
AppManager by Allan Marcus seems part of the way to a 3rd party solution - needs enable/disable functionality in a "playlist" fashion. Strange since playlists are already part of the rest of iTunes, why not extend the paradigm to apps?

Enable/disable fields in Workspace form

Okay here is my scenario. I need to disable some fields on a form depending on which user logs onto workspace to open the same form.
1. User1 logs onto workspace and opens leave request form, fields at the top of the form are enabled for the user to fill out, bottom fields which are for leave request administrator to fill out are disabled but visible.
2. User1 fills out top portion of leave request form and completes form. Workflow sends form to leave request administrators "To do" list in Workspace.
3. Administrator opens up submitted form in Workspace and sees User1's filled out data on the form and the bottom fields are now enabled for administrator to approve or dissaprove. Bottom fields only include two check boxes, two text fields and one date field.
Now how is this done? I am sure their maybe scripting involved? if so what is it and at what events in the form? Is this whole process done in the form or through Admin UI or Workebench as well? Please help!!!!!!!!!

You can use the same form and enable/disable some fields according to the user's role with only little scripting. Review the steps the below:
1-First place a hidden field ("user_role") in your form
2-Insert a script object into your form onder "Variables" in object hierarchy and write a script for enabling/disabling the fields (regarding the value of "user_role")
3-On the initialize and change events of the "user_role" call your script object
4-On your process design, put a SetValue service before User tasks. In the asssignment you should set the desired user_role to the form, so that the script is triggered in your form and the fields are enabled/desiabled

Enable/Disable Column in a Advanced Bean Table

Hi,
I have 2 columns that needs to be enabled/disabled on a standard oa page PO Lines summary page.
I went through couple of blogs/forums and found 2 approaches :-
Approach 1
1) Extended the standard VO POLinesMerge.
2) Added a attribute column DeriveDisplayFlag of type VARCHAR2 . This call a database function and will return Y or N
3) Added a attribute of type ShowAdditionalColumn boolean. the get method of this attribute returns TRUE if DeriveDisplayFlag is 'Y' otherwise returns FALSE.
4) created a substitution for the custom VO
5) uploaded the substitution to mds.
6) copied the xml/class files to $JAVA_TOP/..
7) Bounced entire middle tier
8) using personalization, entered a SPEL command on the rendered property. I know rendered will hide/show the column but for time being I just want this to work.
But this fails :-
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Message not found. Application: FND, Message Name: FND_VIEWOBJECT_NOT_FOUND. Tokens: VONAME = XXPBPoLinesMergeVO; APPLICATION_MODULE = oracle.apps.po.document.server.DocumentAM;

2) trying to extend controller class OrderLinesTableRNCO. But have couple of questions. This iis a advanced bean table so how should i reference individual record and the column that i need to disable/enable ?

Also, when i am entering a new record at what point in time the 2 new attribute will derive its value? the 2 attributes are dependent on the Item number column but i have not created a dependency between the attributes and Item# column.
Will the controller logic fire for every column while i am entering a new record?

I have went and told back to my business team that I am not able to do this so now they have asked me to enable/disable columns based on a dff value on po header. I thought this will be easier by extending the controller class on PO Lines table but that too is not working.

How to enable / disable SSRS Parameter

I want to enable a parameter called "start date" (type is date) when another (value from dropdown) parameter is selected
Say for an example, i have below 3 parameters
1. drop down which 2 values called "vtextbox","vdate"
2. start (data type is date)
3. finish (data type is date)
when i select "vdate"value from the dropdown 2nd and 3rd parameters has to be enable
similarly when i select "vtextbox" value from the dropdown 2nd and 3rd parameter has to disable
I have searched many forums every one says this is not possible in report manager interface
But this is possible in custom code
please make a note all three parameters are independant
It would be great if any one provide the custom code for same

According to your description, you want to use a parameter to control enable/disable other two parameters. Right?
In Reporting Services, when we create a parameter, this parameter has been enabled. The only way you want to disable the parameter is deleting it. In this scenario, disable the two parameter is same as selecting all values in these two parameters. So
we can just modify the default values in 2nd and 3rd parameter instead of using cascading parameter. We can create a dataset, put in the query below:
IF @Param='vtextbox'
select distinct startdate from [table]
else
select '[value]'
The [value] can be any value which is not existing in [table]. So when you select 'vtextbox', the default value will be all values in the table. If you select 'vdate', it will need you to select value automatically because the return value is not existing
in the table. This can be an effective workaround for your requirement.

Set sign-in status toggles to disabled on its own?

Hello! I have a user whos "Set sign-in status" in OWA keeps toggling to disabled on a daily basis.
MS support says this is managed by the AD settings for the user. I've checked ever setting and compared them to users who are not experiencing the issue. Does anyone know
what attribute controls this setting?

Enabling/Disabling PDF in Browser Option (Acrobat XI)

Firstly, know that yes I understand that this setting is no longer found in and handled by Acrobat XI and that to enable or disable PDF in browser setting you enable/disable the add-on in IE (or other browser).
In the hopes of making it more straightforward and convenient for users to toggle this setting, one option is being explored to create a custom Javascript action in Acrobat to write to the user registry to turn this on/off.
Is this feasible? Can Acrobat JavaScript actions read and write to the user's registry? As we have a collection of users that need to regularly toggle this setting (for reasons I won't go into here), it would be ideal to have an easy and straightforward means to change this setting. One possibility might be a custom Acrobat JavaScript action.

About:config Javascript Enable/Disable not working correctly

It used to be that the About:Config Javascript Enable/Disable toggle was an all or nothing swtich. If you turned it off, it was turned off for all of Firefox, including and most importantly active loaded pages with interactive content. It was an absolute need for defense against rouge pages that would do things like trap the close page function and open up many more pages when you closed a page. Other pages would attempt to download code repeatedly and the only way to truly "escape" those pages was to open up a tab with About:Config and toggle the Javascript Enabled option. This is still there, but the behavior has changed in Version 29. It no longer turns off Javascript for all pages loaded or future loaded, only future loaded ones have it turned off. This is a show stopper. Get it back to disabling for all loaded pages or we won't use Firefox anymore.

The problem of being trapped in an onbeforeclose event handler was tackled directly. You should not encounter that problem any more as of a few versions ago. (And/or you could use my Escape bookmarklet: [http://dev.jeffersonscher.com/bookmarklets.html#escape])
I'm not familiar with the other issue of sites trying to download code repeatedly.

Synaptics enables / disables itself in a loop

I have GT70 2OD
Synaptics 18.1.30.4 08Oct14
Synaptics TouchPad V7.2
I recently installed the synaptic drivers and I can see that sometimes enter an enable/disable loop (I can see that is enabling and disabled both by the system tray icon and the led in the disable touchpad button below the spacebar).
Usually this flickering / loop starts on any of this two conditions:
1) Directly after at startup
2) If I press the Disable touchpad button below the spacebar
3) If I press Fn+F3
Usually the loop ends when I press the Windows key a couple of times and I manage to go the Start screnn then the flickering stops and I'm able to reenable the touchpad via
Control panel / Change mouse settings/ Device Settings/ Enable (using the keyboard to get there, since the touchpad is disabled).
Does anybody know how to fix it or why it's happening?

I upgraded the firmware to version 1516 (2014-10-15) and that solved the problem, no more enabling / disabling in a loop, no more flickering of the led.

Can't re-enable accounts with workgroup manager

Morning,
We have had cause to disable approximately 100 student accounts earlier this week, and we are now finding that we can not re-enable them. This is a major problem as it's coming to the end of term and they all need to be able to login!
The server is running 10.4.6 and the accounts were disabled using Workgroup Manager by selecting the account, unticking the 'access account' box and then saving.
I am trying to re-enable the accounts by simply reversing the process, i.e. ticking 'access account' and then clicking save, however every time I try this the following error pops up:
"Got unexpected error
Error of type eMemoryAllocError (-14901) on line 3318 of /SourceCache/ServerManagerUserGeneral/ServerManagerUserGeneral-193.2.5/UserAdva ncedPluginView.mm"
I have tried this with various of the disabled users on various different machines (including the server itself) and the same error comes up universally. I've had a poke about on Google but I can't find any reference to this happening anywhere else.
My inital thought was that the admin tools were out of date but looking we have version 10.4.4 of Workgroup Manager which is what is available on the apple site; is this the latest version?
I thought the point releases for admin tools ran in parallel with the server versions, i.e. the latest server admin tools would be of version 10.4.6?
Any help/ideas appreciated...!

Additionally, I have come up with a fudge:
I have turned on the advanced view in Workgroup Manager so that I can see the LDAP inspector for each user. If I delete the two attributes 'AuthenticationAuthority ;DisabledUser;' and 'dsAttrTypeNative:authAuthor ;DisabledUser;' and then save, I can then go on to tick 'access account' and save with no problem (which does in fact re-enable the account).
I don't know if this sheds any light on the subject, but it's working for now at least...

Enable/Disable a ldap account programatically

What I am trying to do is to enable/disable an account on iPlanet server through our application using LDAP API.
I know that I have to set a value to nsaccountlock operational attribute to activate/inactivate the account. However, I looked at the inactive Perl script on the server and it seems to add nsRoleDN and nsRole to this account as well.
Now I could do the same thing as the Perl script on my appliation, but my question is how do I know which Role do I use to add to the account I want to enable/disable? I know that the default role is nsManageDisableRole, but how about the admin change this Role name or using different role? Is there a way to detect the role?

You cannot change the role name. If you want to use the same account activation scheme as used by the console and the perl script command lines, you must use the exact same names for roles, etc.
If you don't care about using the console or the command lines to manage roles, you can use any scheme you like, but you cannot mix and match the two schemes.

Screen Personas 2.0 Enable/Disable script button in Javascript

Has anyone tried enabling or disabling script buttons on a flavor using Javascript. I have two script buttons,
The first one (Button1) searches for a contract based on the contract id provided by the user in a text box. (So, the script triggers the transaction me33k, fetches and displays the relevant fields in the flavor)
Now, based on whether the contract is present in the system the user needs to click another script button (Button2) which will allow him to create an order. Currently the button is disabled (ScriptButton.IsEnabled = false in the Properties menu).
In the Button1 script towards the end, I need to enable Button2 is a contract is found. So in the Button1 script, at the final step I try to calculate in JS and write the following JS code,
var args.btn2id = document.getElementById("Personas/blahblahblah");
args.btn2id.disabled = false;
But this is never works. And I have noticed that the control id does not return the control object in Javascript (so, args.btn2id is always null) and I tried removing the '/' and various other options.
Has anyone ever tried to enable/disable buttons in Personas? Is it even possible?

You don't have access to the Personas control properties from JavaScript to dynamically change them.
About the only thing that comes to mind is Tobias' method to hide the script button if you want to disable it.

Alternative to enable/disable javascript ?

I am looking all the time into Firefox options but there is no option into the menu to disable or enable javascript. Is there any alternative solution or only "about:config" trick (which is very uncomfortable)...

The check boxes to enable/disable JavaScript and load images automatically have been removed from "Options > Content".
