Tool to generate object types being worked upon by team members
do we have any table in sap where in all the data regarding the user along with the objects worked upon by him are stored?
thanks'
jai
You don't want to be spying on your people, do you?
Each object together with creator/changer information is stored in different tables, so quite a tedious task. The closest I can suggest is table VRSD for version management, try typing in your name as AUTHOR and a narrow date range in DATUM, it should show you the stuff that you changed and released recently.
Thomas
P.S. TADIR shows only the "person responsible", usually the original creator of the object

Adobe guideline on design documents when working with freelance team members or agencies
Adobe guideline when working with freelance team members or agencies:
should the publisher recieve a copy of the documents (Indesign etc) used to publish it's magazine?
Our client has an ongoing discussion with a freelance designer who was hired to make editions of their interactive magazine.
The publisher has briefed the designer on their digital magazine and the designer created the folio-files, based on their input (design, pictures, video, audio, texts, etc) and their printed magazine. The publisher is the owner of the copyrights on this material.
The designer used the software licenses provided by the publisher, but refuses to hand over the Indesign-file after recieving full payment for his design work. Is there a Adobe guideline or 'best practice' I can consult in this matter to help resolve this discussion?
Thank you.Hi Yves,
I know this case very well and here the publisher has payed for all time spent in and the cost of DPS training. The material is copyrighted and owned by the publisher and he also owns the DPS license.
To keep your example: this feels like the worker assembling the car wants to keep the car and be payed his hourly wage to assemble it.
It's not an original work, that is clear to me.

Using HTMLConverter tool to generate Object-id
Hi,
I want to generate a unique class-id for an applet I have coded. The object then has to be used in a HTML page.
Can anyone describe the entire process of how to go about this?
Thanx in advance.Go to bin Directory of JDK.
There will be "HtmlConverter.bat" open it in GUI mode by using folowing command at comand Prompt.
"c:\jdk1.3.1>HtmlConverter -gui"
Browse the file & submit there will be converted file in the same directory.
PS: Do take backup of the old file.

Support for unit testing object types
There's a Feature Request that suggests expanding the unit test tool to object types:
Title
Provide object type support for unit tests
Description
In the current version (2.1.0.63) I can perform only unit test for packages, function and procedures. But we use a lot of object types in the database and would like to test them. When is a support for object types scheduled?
Average Rating
10
Development Comment
This is planned for the next release.
Status
Scheduled for 3.0
Although the status suggests inclusion in v3, in my current version 3.2.20.09 there is nothing.
This is clearly an important issue for those who have voted for it as it scores a perfect 10 on average rating.
Is there any sign of object types being supported in the 4.0EA1 release? There is a strong desire within my organisation to move to a more object-based approach to PL/SQL coding but until we are able to unit test easily there will be no real progress.If you are ready to learn a little bit of Ruby then you can try [PL/SQL unit testing with Ruby|http://blog.rayapps.com/2009/11/27/oracle-plsql-unit-testing-with-ruby/]. ruby-plsql library [supports also PL/SQL object types|http://blog.rayapps.com/2009/11/25/more-oracle-data-types-supported-by-ruby-plsql-gem/] as input and output parameters and return values.

Hi,
I have a problem to get a valid PL/SQL wrapper for the web-service at http://adostest.armstrongconsulting.com/DSX/DocumentServices.asmx?wsdl
I use jpub to generate the web service callout (jar file and pl/sql wrapper) and the generation of that file completes without an error, but if I try to load the pl/sql package into the database it fails, because one of the generated object types has an invalid definition.
-- Create SQL type for oracle.j2ee.ws.common.encoding.literal.AttributeMap
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE OBJ_AttributeMap AS OBJECT (); The object type for the java class oracle.j2ee.ws.common.encoding.literal.AttributeMap doesn't contain any attributes.
Software used:
-) Latest JPublisher 10g Release 10.2 (http://download.oracle.com/otn/utilities_drivers/jdbc/10201/jpub_102.zip)
-) 10.1.3.1 Callout Utility for 10g and 11g RDBMS (http://download.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/jsp/dbws-callout-utility-10131.zip)
-) Oracle DB 10.2.0.3
Command used to generate files:
jpub -proxywsdl="http://adostest.armstrongconsulting.com/DSX/DocumentServices.asmx?wsdl" -proxyopts=noload -package=ados -plsqlpackage=ADOS_WebServiceBTW, I noticed that the dbwsa.jar contains this class, but the "runtime" classes contained in dbwsclientws.jar which are loaded into the database do not contain this class. If I look into the previous version of the Callout Utility (10.1.3.0) at http://download.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/jsp/dbws-callout-utility-10R2.zip it is contained in the dbwsclient.jar which is loaded into the database.
What is wrong or what can I do to get a valid object type mapping?
Thanks
PatrickYes. We are calling a .NET web service as well.
I got around the problem by the following steps:
1. Forcing JPub to use the jar files that come with JDeveloper 10.1.3.3, rather than dbwsa.jar and dbwsclientws.jar.
2. Upload the JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 web service libraries into the database
3. Manually edit the JPub wrapper code (static methods) generated by JPub. I have to comment out all references to AttributeMap. Not sure why JPub wants to use it... -
JDOQL queryfilter failure while retrieving field of "java.lang.Object" Type.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION --->
JDOQL FILTER ON A FIELD OF "java.lang.Object" TYPE, NOT WORKING.
HELP REQUESTED WITH SUGGESTIONS OR POINTERS TO THE CORRECT SOLUTION.
Deatiled Problem :=
Environment :=
Kodo version 2.4.1 (on Windows 2000).
J2SDK 1.3.1_06 (on Windows 2000).
Database:= MySQL 3.23.55 (on Windows 2000).
Java Class Hierarchy Example:=
SuperPersistentObject
|__ LevelOneDescendant
|__ LevelTwoDescendant
|__ LastDescendant
Procedures Followed :=
Java class named "LastDescendant" is enhanced and persisted in the
database.
The field "m_value" is of java type "java.lang.Object" and is
represented as a "blob" in the database.
Aadequate data is pumped in the field "m_value" (Data of Type
String/Integer/Double/Boolean etc.). The class "LastDescendant" is
retrieved using following JDO specific code :=
SUCCESSFUL EXAMPLE :=
Extent extent= PersistentManager.getExtent
(com.name.project.LastDescendant.class, false);
String m_queryFilter = "";
Query query = PersistentManager.getQuery(extent, m_queryFilter);
Collection m_resultset = (Collection)query.execute();
The above code returns all the available "LastDescendant" objects
persisted in the DB. Post Load, The value in the field "m_value" of
all the retrieved "LastDescendant" objects, is testeded successfully
and found to be matching to the expected values.
FAILED EXAMPLE :=
Extent extent= PersistentManager.getExtent
(com.name.project.LastDescendant.class, false);
//Retrieving only the objects whose "m_value" field contains Integer
// values, between 10 and 9000. (110 objects with Integer value
// between 10 and 9000 are pumped in the DB, for testing).
String m_queryFilter = "(m_value >= 10 && m_value <= 9000)";
Query query = PersistentManager.getQuery(extent, m_queryFilter);
Collection m_resultset = (Collection)query.execute();
NO "LastDescendant" OBJECTS RETRIEVED, the Collection "m_resultset" is
Empty, (Actually Expecting 110 objects).
Tried every other way, using "declareImports()"/ "declareParameters()"/
"declareVariables()" etc. Tried TypeCasting the m_value field to Integer,
but to no avail.
Actual Classes :=
public class SuperPersistentObject implements java.io.Serializable {
protected String appKey;
public class LevelOneDescendant extends SuperPersistentObject {

How To Generate Objects From XML and DTD?
Are there tools to generate objects from dtd's and xml files?
If this is not possible for some reason: is there a tool to generate classes from a dtd?
I can not find the "XML Java Class Generator" (from oracle) anymore.XMLBeans
There are other solutions, but I know this one is pretty good. -

Error when generating java classes from object types
Hi,
I'm using JDeveloper version 10.1.3.0.2
I created an object type in the database, the definition is:

I tried to create a java class for this object using JDeveloper, by using generate java menu item.
I got the following error:

any body can hlep in that pleaseI would recommend using JAXB instead of the Oracle class generator. This will give a standards based object-to-XML platform.
Oracle provides two JAXB implementations: one in the TopLink product, and the other in the XDK.
For an example of using TopLink JAXB see:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/toplink/technical/tips/jaxb/index.htm
TopLink also provides the ability to map existing Java objects to an existing XML Schema, for an example of this see:

ZSAPLINK for Object type = CLAS is not working
Dear Experts,
ZSAPLINK for Object type = CLAS is not working. On executing by selecting Export Object to Slinkee with Object type = CLAS and class name, It is giving the dump which is shown in below snapshots. Pls guide me how to resolve this error.
Thanks
KHFrom the screenshot, It seems that the object _renderer did not point to any memory location.
You can verify this by putting a breakpoint in method IF_IXML~CREATE_RENDERER of class CL_IXML
If the return value RVAL is initial, this mean there something wrong with the kernel module abkm_iXML_CreateRenderer. If it is, you will have to check with your Basis team to apply some kernel patches.
Hope it helps. Cheers! -
Different EBS Adapter interfaces generate same object types differently
Hi,
We are experiencing the following behavior when using two different interfaces that are both generated from the E-Business Suite Adapter.
Wrapper packages and object types are generated and created in the database. But in both cases the generator creates a type called gme_api_pub_rowtype_sql1.
Alas, that same type has a different specification depending on the interface. Hence, one of the api's has compile errors as it expects the type to have additional parameters.
Has anyone experienced the same behavior?
More important: is there a way to overcome the problem?
Thanks, SjoerdTo add to that:
We are not willing to have separate schemas for each of the EBS Adapter interfaces so that we can have multiple instances / occurrences of type gme_api_pub_rowtype_sql1, i.e. one per schema.
This would quickly turn into a maintenance nightmare.
Thanks, Sjoerd -

DISTINCT on object type collection not working with GROUP BY
Hello,
I have an object type with collection defined as:
create or replace type individu_ot as object (
numero_dossier number(10),
code_utilisateur varchar2(8 char),
nom varchar2(25 char),
prenom varchar2(25 char),
map member function individu_map return number
create or replace type body individu_ot is
map member function individu_map return number
is
begin
return SELF.numero_dossier;
end individu_map;
end;
create or replace type individu_ntt is table of individu_ot
/When I use it in simple SQL without any aggregation, the distinct keyword works well and returns me the distinct entry of my object type in the collection:
SQL> select cast(collect(distinct individu_ot(indivmc.numero_dossier, indivmc.idul, indivmc.nom, indivmc.prenom)) as individu_ntt) as distinct_list
from site_section_cours sisc
inner join enseignant_section_mc ensemc
on sisc.code_session = ensemc.code_session and
sisc.numero_reference_section_cours = ensemc.numero_reference_section_cours
inner join individu_mc indivmc
on ensemc.numero_dossier_pidm = indivmc.numero_dossier
where sisc.seq_site_cours = 6
DISTINCT_LIST(NUMERO_DOSSIER,CODE_UTILISATEUR,NOM,PRENOM)
INDIVIDU_NTT(INDIVIDU_OT(15,PROF5,Amidala,Padmé))
1 row selected.However in SQL with broader selection with group by, the distinct isn't working anymore.
SQL> select *
from (
select sisc.seq_site_cours,
cast(collect(distinct individu_ot(indivmc.numero_dossier, indivmc.idul, indivmc.nom, indivmc.prenom)) as individu_ntt) as distinct_list
from site_section_cours sisc
inner join enseignant_section_mc ensemc
on sisc.code_session = ensemc.code_session and
sisc.numero_reference_section_cours = ensemc.numero_reference_section_cours
inner join individu_mc indivmc
on ensemc.numero_dossier_pidm = indivmc.numero_dossier
group by sisc.seq_site_cours
where seq_site_cours = 6
SEQ_SITE_COURS DISTINCT_LIST(NUMERO_DOSSIER,CODE_UTILISATEUR,NOM,PRENOM)
6 INDIVIDU_NTT(INDIVIDU_OT(15,PROF5,Amidala,Padmé),INDIVIDU_OT(15,PROF5,Amidala,Padmé),INDIVIDU_OT(15,PROF5,Amidala,Padmé),INDIVIDU_OT(15,PROF5,Amidala,Padmé),INDIVIDU_OT(15,PROF5,Amidala,Padmé))
1 row selected.there is case where I need to return more than one collections, with distinct entries in it.
Is there something I am missing?
Thanks
BrunoNot a bug, rather an undocumented feature.
Here are some alternatives you might want to test :
1) Using the SET operator to eliminate duplicates :
SELECT sisc.seq_site_cours,
set(
cast(
collect(individu_ot(indivmc.numero_dossier, indivmc.idul, indivmc.nom, indivmc.prenom))
as individu_ntt
) as distinct_list
FROM site_section_cours sisc
INNER JOIN enseignant_section_mc ensemc
ON sisc.code_session = ensemc.code_session
AND sisc.numero_reference_section_cours = ensemc.numero_reference_section_cours
INNER JOIN individu_mc indivmc
ON ensemc.numero_dossier_pidm = indivmc.numero_dossier
GROUP BY sisc.seq_site_cours
;2) Using MULTISET with a subquery
SELECT sisc.seq_site_cours,
CAST(
MULTISET(
SELECT distinct
indivmc.numero_dossier, indivmc.idul, indivmc.nom, indivmc.prenom
FROM enseignant_section_mc ensemc
INNER JOIN individu_mc indivmc
ON ensemc.numero_dossier_pidm = indivmc.numero_dossier
WHERE sisc.code_session = ensemc.code_session
AND sisc.numero_reference_section_cours = ensemc.numero_reference_section_cours
AS individu_ntt
) AS distinct_list
FROM site_section_cours sisc

Object key for object type WORKITEM is not generated
Hi experts,
I have a problem when I create a purchase requisition by workflow. This problem happens a client copy from production to quality system has been done.
The problem is that the object key for the object type WORKITEM is not generated. I check in transaction SWEL in quality system it displays the following data:
For the event data I have the following data:
Event Instance ID - 1099124
Object Type - BUS2105
Object key - 0120001588 (purchase requisition number)
Event - criadaoumodificada (createdorchanged)
For the Receiver Data I have the following data:
Receiver Type - WS99900003
Object Type (is not displayed)
Object Key (is empty)
Receiver FM - SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF
RFC Destination - WORKFLOW_LOCAL_010
In the Receiver Data the object type is not displayed and the object key is not generated. In production system the object type is WORKITEM, and the object key is filled by a number of workitem.
Can anyone tell me why this happens?
Best regards,
LeonelHi Leonel,
as far as I remember, those fields are updated once the receiver function module was successfully processed. In your case, I'd suggest, that you ...
- Check the workflow local RFC destination (SM59, WORKFLOW_LOCAL_<client>)
- Check the workflow-user (SU01, User-ID WF-BATCH normally),
- Check for entries that stuck in the event processing (tRFC queue, transaction SM58).
- To verify the complete system, execute transaction SWU3. The section under "Runtime environment" should be marked green. (Ignore the red sign on definition environment).
- For a more extensive workflow runtime check, use the transaction SWUD (workflow diagnosis).
After all that, your problem might be solved, or at least you know, what's all okay
Best wishes,
Florin
