Topology Manager Error for Essbase Dataserver
Hi All,
I am trying to create Hyperion Essbase data server and followed the ODI documents and adding Essbase drivers (downloaded from edelivery).
When I try to insert new data server using Topology Manager, under physical architecture, I got an error:

I think the issue is because of the long host name of the machine : dhcp-hyd-phase2-ground-floor-10-176-82-232
I have requested the IT ops guys to take a look. In the meantime, if you think I need to do something else, do let me know.

"Assign Access Control" returns error for essbase apps in shared services
Hello,
I installed and configured Oracle EPM 11.1.2 (Foundation, Essbase, Planning, Reporting&Analysis):
OS: Windows Server 2008 Sp2 (32bit)
Default Installation with default ports,
Installation of all components on the same server,
no clustering
EPM System Diagnostic says that everything is OK.
Now I want to assign filter access for an essbase database in the Shared Services.
Starting the menu item "Assign Access Control" in Shared Services returns the following error:
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
+10.4.5 404 Not Found+
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

Can anybody help ???
best regards,
NicoleHello,
here's what I found out so far:
I get the error if I start the shared services console via the URL "http://servername:port/interop/index.jsp" and then select the "assign access control" for an essbase database.
If I start the shared services console via the workspace everything works fine.
Does anybody know what to do so that it also works if I start the shared services console via URL?
best regards,

Hi John,
Was running an interface and came across the following error.
AttributeError: class 'com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIConstants' has no attribute 'PRE_LOAD_MAXL_SCRIPT
I have not used any MAXl scripts in this.Hi,
It may be alright to copy the drivers across
Copy
odihapp_common.jar
odihapp_essbase.jar
odihapp_planning.jar
Make sure you restart any agents and ODI components after copying the files.
I would recommend upgrading your version though so ODI is the same across your environments, upgrading is not a big task.
Ok?
Cheers

Error while configuring work repository details in topology Manager
Hi,
Could anyone pls advice, is it possible creating more than one Master repository connection for the same instance.
When i try to do so, am getting the below error while configuring the work repository details in topology manager.
“A work repository already exists for this connection.
Enter the repository password to declare it in your Master Repository”
I tried with both the new master and work repository password. But no luck.
Previous Master & work details:
Master: PCS_MASTER
Work:PCS_WORKREP
New Details
Master: PCS_MASTER_INT
Work:PCS_WORKREP_INT
Instance: PCBID
Am trying to create new master repository for PCS_MASTER_INT.In the same oracle schema you can have only 1 master and 1 work repository. Usually they take 2 schema (1 for each).
If you need 2 master repository you have to use 2 different jdbc path. I'm using a db with several master / work, each repo has got its schema.. -
Error while starting Topology manager
Hi,
I have Oracle XE & ODI installed in Enterprise Linux. Both are on the same machine. I have created the new schema (Fusion) and also ran the repcreate.sh to create the master repository for the same.
Now to log into topology manager, I created a new connection, tested it and then tried to log in.
I get the following error:

Ethan.Hi ethan.....
U always need a driver to be present inside ur <ODI installation directory>\drivers folder.....for both the target and the source......Because ojdbc14.jar is the driver for oracle already present inside the drivers folder ....we don't have to do anything for it.....But for Essbase ...you need a driver......If u haven't already done this.....try this.....
Hope it helps...

ODI 10.1.3.4.0 - Topology Manager Connection Error using SQL 2005 SP3
Hello All,
I am using the ODI repository in SQL 2005 SP3. I could create my master repository using the following parameters:
driver: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
URL:jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://server_name:1433;SelectMethod=direct;DataBaseName=ODI
I needed to copy to the drivers directory all files of SQL 2000 (msutil.jar, msbase.jar,mssqlserver.jar) and SQL 2005 (sqljdbc.jar). I am using the JRE 1.4.2 and JDBC 2005 1.2 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms378422(SQL.90).aspx)
But when I try to connect in Topology Manager to create the work repository appears the following error:
using this driver string: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC] Can't start a cloned connection while in manual transaction mode.
using this driver string: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
Does Somebody know what is happening?
Regards,
Wallace Galvao
Sao Paulo - BrazilHi,
If you plan on using the SQL Server 2005 drivers then you only need the 1.2 sqljdbc.jar file in the drivers directory.
The connection details for SQL Server 2005 should be like the following.
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
jdbc:sqlserver://<sqls machine>:1433;databaseName=<db name>;integratedSecurity=false
I would try just with just the correct driver in place, remove the others, restart any ODI components and then make sure the connection information is correct like above.
Cheers

How to fix Adobe App Manager error code -60 Download appears corrupt but only for Photoshop CS6 app
How to fix Adobe App Manager error code -60 Download appears corrupt but only for Photoshop CS6 Creative Suite Cloud App. Many attempts were made to install Photoshop CS6 with Adobe Application Manager without success. Every other Creative Suite Application was successfully downloaded. I keep getting Installation Failed when attempting the Photoshop install. How does one correct this?
Thanks Jeff! So, it totally appears as if it was a network issue. The corporate network where I work is quite likely the culprit. Where I was thrown off is that since I have admin rights on my computer, I can install software. But using Adobe Application Manager to install Adobe software wasn't working. And to make matters worse, there didn't appear to be any way to install Acrobat Pro for Mac without using AAM. The workaround that I used previously was to install the trial versions of Adobe software, and then just register them using my username and password. But the workaround for being able to install everything using AAM was to bring my computer home and download from my home network.

Cisco UCS Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Login Error
I have Cisco UCS 1.4 (3q) and just installed the MP v2.1 for Cisco UCS, however when I click on the "Management Pack Events" alert view in the SCOM console, there are error for event number 19900. The description of the error is as follows:
Description:
CISCO UCS R2 MP (https://10.x.x.x/nuova) [CISCO.UCS.R2.Proxy.LoadCache.ProbeAction.vbs] : CISCO UCS Login Error: Authentication failed (Code: 551)
I noticed that it's looking for the /nuova directory, but in order to login to our UCS environment, we usually just go to the IP address - so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it? I've verified that when going directly to the IP from Internet Explorer I can login using the opsmgr credentials we specifically created for this account. I've also gone through the process of creating a run-as account on the SCOM side and associated it with the correct profiles.
Any help is greatly appreciated.Troubleshooting has found out its user error, wrong password configured.

UCS Management Pack for System Center 2012 OpsMgr add monitor wizard error
We're successfully using the 2.6.0.179 version of the UCS Management Pack for System Center 2012 Operations Manager in our 2012 SP1 OpsMgr environment; however, in the new 2012 R2 OpsMgr environment we've stood-up and in which we installed the 2.6.2.0 version of the UCS MP, we're getting an error when trying to run the Add Monitoring Wizard under the Management Pack Templates node of the Authoring pane. We get the same error from the 2.6.1.0 version of the UCS MP as well. The text of the error is as follows:
"The page [Cisco.UCS.MP.UI.Proxy.Template.Page.ProxyDetailsPage] in the assembly [Cisco.UCS.MP.UI.Culture="",PublicKeyToken="6c96076cdf2c87a",Version="2.6.0.0"] could not be loaded. Please make sure that the account you are running under has sufficient privileges to load the given assembly, or the management pack that defines this page is installed or the assembly containing the page is in the path of the executible or that the page derives from known Operations Manager page type."
I'm an admin user in OpsMgr, so this should not be a user privilege issue, and that leaves the MP itself. The fact that a 2.6.0.0 version is mentioned makes me wonder if the base version of the MP must be installed before the 2.6.2 version. I'd test this, but we no longer have that version, and its no longer available for download from Cisco that I can see.
Has any dealt with this issue successfully, or have any insight into the problem?Solved...the requirement is that you must do the MP configuration from the SCOM console on the SCOM Management Server where you installed the Cisco UCS MP; you can't do it from a SCOM console on a remote computer like I was trying to do.

Newbee's question: Error connecting to the management server for the first time
Dear all, I am very new to the oralce world and got stuck today the first time I install oracle 8i on my win2k pro.
After the installation, I was trying to connect the Enterprise Manager Console for the first time, using the default user name sysman and password oem_temp (correct?). The problem is that I don't know exactly what is a management server, and what name it should be called. I named the database/sid name orarem, under D:\Oracle\admin\OraRem, does it have something to do with this issue?
I only installed the oracle enterprise server edition 8.1.6.0.0, not the Client part, will that matter if I only wanna run oracle on my stand alone desktop as a testing procedure for now?
Any help would be really appreciated!!Bingo!! I had been trying dumping various .plist files
Not surprisingly i was a little hesitant about throwing the Airport folder in the bin.
First thing I did was to check it had been replaced on restarting!
Glad to say that "Check for updates" is now doing its thing.
I don't know why it gave me such grief, I just felt it could develope into something nasty down the line.
Thank you again.
Unfortunately they don't seem to have a points system for this topic.
Your fix should be available in Google from now on -
Not able to connect to Active Directory through Topology manager of ODI
Hi,
We are trying to connect to Active Directory though ODI Topology manager.
The details given are :
+1. Using LDAP(JNDI) driver:+
username : CN=Administrator
JDBC Driver name : com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory
JDBC URL : ldap://ten.mydomain.com:636/dc=oracle,dc=com
I am getting the error as shown below:
java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
at java.sql.DriverManager.getDriver(Unknown Source)
at com.sunopsis.sql.SnpsConnection.u(SnpsConnection.java)
at com.sunopsis.sql.SnpsConnection.a(SnpsConnection.java)

at com.sunopsis.sql.SnpsConnection.testConnection(SnpsConnection.java)
*2. Sunopsis JDBC driver for LDAP:*
Username: cn=Administrator
JDBC Driver Name : com.sunopsis.ldap.jdbc.driver.SnpsLdapDriver
JDBC Driver URL :
jdbc:snps:ldap?ldap_url=ldap://ten.mydomain.com:636/&ldap_password=abcd1234&ldap_basedn=dc=oracle,dc=com
We also tried with URL : jdbc:snps:ldap?ldap_url=ldap://ten.mydomain.com:636/&ldap_basedn=dc=oracle,dc=com
We are getting an error as shown below:
Java.sql.SQLException: A NamingException occured saying: Request: 1 cancelled with this explanation: Request: 1 cancelled and this remaining name: null
at com.sunopsis.ldap.jdbc.driver.i.e(i.java)
at com.sunopsis.ldap.jdbc.driver.i.a(i.java)
at com.sunopsis.ldap.jdbc.driver.SnpsLdapConnection.<init>(SnpsLdapConnection.java)
Did I misconfigure something? Do I need to install a seperate Driver for this?
Please help me out in this.
Thanks in advance for any help. For LDAP default user Root is having all the priviledge to access all the Ldap data.
Go to physical architecture and insert a new dataserver
user - cn=root,dc=css,dc=hyperion,dc=com [ change this according to your requirememnt for you it will be *cn=Administrator ,dc=oracle,dc=com* ]
password - null
JDBC
jdbc driver : com.sunopsis.ldap.jdbc.driver.SnpsLdapDriver
jdbc url : jdbc:snps:ldap?ldap_url=ldap://<server name :port/&ldap_password=KLLEJMNLKFLBKLKODDGPGPDB&ldap_basedn=dc=css,dc=hyperion,dc=com
[ for you it will be *jdbc:snps:ldap?ldap_url=ldap://ten.mydomain.com:636/&ldap_password=<encoded password>ldap_basedn=dc=oracle,dc=com* ]
Here the Default Ldap password for ROOT is SECURITY and if its changed or you are using for some other user . Please use that .
you also need to encode the password using this command
java -cp C:\OraHome_1\oracledi\drivers\snpsldapo.jar com.sunopsis.ldap.jdbc.driver.SnpsLdapEncoder <enter password here>
Later test the connection and you should be able to connect successfully.
