Touch showing lines of code

Hey,
Alright so my ipod touch 8gb is showing various lines of code. Right now it's dead or i would give you some examples. I have it connected to my computer (windows vista) but it does not show up on itunes. If i try to reset it, it just comes up with the lines of code again similar to file cannot be found.
Alright it just started up again this is the last few lines:
If you wish to boot the system:
exit
Apr 15 10:35:39 lauchd[5]: can't exec / bin/sh for single user: no such file or directory
So can you please help me fix it? i really love my ipod
Note: any info i left out just ask for.

The last time this subject came up, the following seemed to do the trick:
Do a forced restore.
1. Connect iPod to computer
2. Hold all buttons
3. Let go of the top button when you see the Apple logo
4. iTunes should see a recovery device

Thousands of blank lines in code view? Where did they come from?

I have an older DW site, that for some reason when I open certain pages in code view show literally thousands of blank lines. So line 1, code, line 2-15 are blank, then what used to be line 2 of the code, is now line 16. All the way down the line. This one page literally has THOUSANDS of blank lines in it:
Aurora Prom Corsages, Boutonnieres, Flowers, School Dance Flowers-Yorkville, Osego Illinois
page renders, edits and looks fine in DW, browsers, etc.
My client edits it with Contribute. I use DW.
There are certain pages he opens regularly, never saw the lines, other pages, just opens once a year, lines all over again.
We can't find any rhyme or reason to it.
Has anyone ever seen this?

Try opening one of those pages in DW and then go to Commands > Apply Source Formatting and see if that cleans them out.
I've heard of a bug where adding html comments can cause added blank lines in certain versions, I've never seen it myself though.

Dreamweaver not displaying last 30 lines of code, GoLive does display them

My issue here is that Dreamweaver is displaying lines 1
through 71 of an .html document but there are 124 lines of code
when opened in Go Live. Here are the undisplayed lines of code...
any suggestions on how to reveal them in Dreamweaver CS3?

And the file is corrupt turns out to not be the answer....
Again I try a different fresh file that follows the same
guidlines and the code is cut off at line 92, there are 133
total.... I've provided the code below with a line to show what
shows up and what doesn't - Any suggestions?

How to show lines in my matrix reports??

i want to show matrix lines in my report. if an item code has data then it shows lines otherwise it shows null value with no lines....

Anyone know of a way to find the number of lines of code, number of class, etc... for a Flex project?

Also check out CLOC just download cloc.pl stick it in your project directory open terminal cd into the directory where you put the cloc.pl and run (without quotes) " perl cloc.pl " it will show you options. For your first time just use " perl cloc.pl --quiet /somedirectory/otherdirectory "

Converting vi's to lines of code

All,
In order to review and grade our code we would like to use 'lines of code'
as a basis of measurement (ex. 2 defects per 1000 lines of code). Since
labview is graphical this provides an obstacle. Is there a standard for
converting labview vi's into lines of code for measuring quality?

Make sure you're using the correct code. For most iTunes cards, the code is under the scratchoff area on the back of the card. For more information, see this support article:

TS4062 my ipod touch shows up in left column but i get messages like we see you but can not connect

you want to click on summary tab and click on the restore tab this will reset the ipod back to factory settings and let you set on the ipod again

this usually means you either have a screenshot or a saved photo, go to the photos app and make sure that there isn't a section that is titled "Saved Photos" or "Camera Roll" if there is delete the photos from this section by clicking the picture, click it when the photo goes full screen and a menu option should pop up, push the icon that looks like a trash can and press "delete photo". I was having the same problem for ages. I followed a apple advice section telling me to check the processes for apple mobile device manager, and check for the applusb.sys driver, and they were both there and working. I would advise you to do this. If they are not showing, then the article says to re-install itunes. here is the article by the way. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1852
However this did not fix my problem. So I decided to try re-installing the actual driver, instead of the whole of itunes. Try this, as it worked for me
(I don't no how good with computers you are, so I'll put simple steps, sorry if it seems patronising!)
1) Go to start, and Run
2) Type "devmgmt.msc" without speech marks
3) A screen with your computers name at the top, with seperate sections for things like keyboards and moniters should have come up. At the bottom you should see Universal serial bus (usb). Expand it and look for apple ipod, or somthing similar (there's prob only be one by apple) If it's not there make sure your ipod is plugged in!
4) Right click and go to properties
5) Click the 'Driver' tab
6) You should see 'Roll back changes' as an option. Click that and accept/press yes to the prompts that pop up.
7) Wait for a few seconds (may take a min or two) until your back to the previous screen described in step 3
8) Now Under 'portable devices', apple ipod should be listed. Right click that, and choose 'Update driver software' Choose to automatically search.
9) Again wait, and when it's complete Apple iPod should show under universal seriel bus (usb) section again.
10) Exit out of device manager, and open up itunes. Your ipod should now be there. You may need to un plug it and plug it in.
What this effectivly does is re-install the device used to search for iPods by itunes. For some reason, mine and probably yours ran into problems.

As I mentioned earlier, you have to decide which calendar you want to use. You can either use Google or iCloud, but not both.
If you want to use your iCloud calendar, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Calendar section) and set this to your iCloud calendar. After doing so, all new events you add to your calendar will be added by default to your iCloud calendar, and as a result, will appear on icloud.com and your computer (if it is syncing calendars with your iCloud account).
If, on the other hand, you want to use your Google calendar (as it sounds like you are doing with your iPod), simply add the same Google calendar to your phone and your computer.

Mail attachments show up as code, not document

Hi all,
I've got one client, also using Mac Mail. When they send me attachments (zip files, psd's, etc) the attachment show up as code, not an attachment. If I open the same mail in gmail, it's an attachment. Other clients sending me attachments seem to work fine. Any ideas on a fix, either for me or my client?

I am having this problem but it is not caused by spaces in name of attachment. It happens with attachments that have no spaces.
Contrary to theories in another thread, it is not caused by Outlook, either. I can send myself an email with an attachment and it comes back showing the encoded contents of the attachment (or just the contents if it's a text attachment) and raw mime-related text, such as:
--Apple-Mail-26-789943242
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=US-ASCII;
format=flowed;
delsp=yes
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Someone else blamed it on a corrupt preference. I have fixed it this way before but it came back pretty quickly. Was hoping for a more comprehensive fix or workaround.
