TPT2 - System Interrupts process

Anyone else getting an unusual amount of system inerrupts?  Open your task manager and sort by CPU usage.  My System Interrupts process is always near the top, minimum 0.2% and frequently hovering around 10%.

I believe I found the solution :
 - The tablets use SSD and the automatic defrag option sets by Windows is not relevant.
From "Control Panel", "Administrative Tools", "Defragment and Optimise Drivers", I have turned off the "Scheduled optimisation" and now the "System Interrupts" CPU usage is between 0% and 0.2%.
So when my TP10 do nothing, it uses globaly between 1 and 5% of CPU (apart when the antivirus works!)
I did it for my TP8 several months ago after reading a newspaper but I didn't know the link with "System Interrupts".

  • System Interrupts, high CPU load

    Hello!
I hope you can help me: My "System Interrupts" process is at 15%-30% all the time. It just disappears after restart for some time. My System is Windows 8.1, all updates, nothing special new HP x360 notebook.
I know i need xperf and WPA to analyse. I am at the point where i do the XPERF -on Diag...whatever stuff and load the .etl file into Windows performance analyzer.
But in every forum they say "look for the cpu interrupts tab" and go on with "summary view" and look for highest spikes.
Well...i dont see INTERRUPTS section anywhere! Just DPC / ISR usage/blabla... under CPU section.
can you help me? I am SOOO close, i just cant access the damn interrupts data!!! :((
I have the newest version of this program.
    Thank YOU!

    Hey Checkoffoff,
If I understand your question correctly, you want to know what using a processor?
If you mean it, you can use the Task Manager and see breakdown by application (each application requires some CPU and memory).
Note that the processor will not be a state of 0% ever since working operating system and performs background.
If you mean the question about another topic would be happy if you explain it more clearly.
Please Mark This As Answer if it helps to solve the issue

  • Interrupt process chain 2004s

    Hi,
We are using three process chains which trigger events at the end of them those events triggered by them get collected in event collector in BI 3.5 (RSA1->Tools->Eventcollector).After collecting all the events event collector triggers the process chain. In 2004s this feature is not there. They have added the concept of interupt process.I don't know how to use it.Please help me
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi ,
ebent collcetor is still in BI7.0 the feature is not there but you can check it thoruhg RSA1 OLD transactiona and program se38 >>> RSABW_NEW_START ..
This Process type helps for interrupting the processing of a process chain up to the point at which a condition is filled.
if a process chain is only processed either in part or in its entirity if more than one start condition is filled, you use this process type to specify the additional conditions.
The chain is started when the condition of the start process is filled. However, the interrupt process will interupt the processing of the chain (as long as its status is "active") up until the point at which the condition of the interrupt process is filled. Should the start process condition be filled again before the interupt process condition is filled, the chain will start again and will only run up until the point of interruption. As soon as the interrupt process condition is filled, the system continues the last run of the chain only. The earlier runs remain unchanged.
interrupt is kind of a waiting time thing like we add in an infopackage or in  a process chain ..it can also be event based or time based ..
Go to the display varaint of it .. you will find wether its event based or time based ..if the event is the check that event in se16 >> RSPCchain >>> put the event in process varaint .. you wil find from were the event is coming .. it will give you the porgram name also and the corressponding process chain too ..

  • High CPU Usage from "System Interrupts" when enabling IGP

    Hi
Mainboard is Z87-G43 with bios version 1.5 - OS is Win 8.1 x64
I have screen#1 connected to a geforce 570 graphics card.
Then i enabled the IGP (4770k) in Bios, installed the newest VGA Drivers Version 10.18.10.3277 from MSI homepage and connected screen#2 to IGP (reason is that geforce clocks go to 3D Mode when 2 monitors are connected -> higher power consumption)
Now I have ~10% permanent CPU Usage (80% of CPU1) in Task Manager process "System Interrupts"
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks for help

Problem is gone after reinstalling Windows 8.1 again. (Both times clean install)
Things that have been changed before reinstalling:
    - I updated Bios again with Version 1.5 - this time with BIOS + ME update with M-Flash. I couldnt do this before because with Bios 1.3 it instantly freezed when selecting the bios file for 1.5 update. So i used the forums Flash Tool to get to 1.5 and the updated M-Flash. ME-Version is higher now.
Things that have been changed after reinstalling:
    - I did all windows updates before installing drivers
    - Nvidia drivers is now 331.65 from Windows Update instead of 331.58 from Nvidias HP
    - Intel VGA drivers is now 10.18.10.3316 from Windows Update instead of 10.18.10.3277 from MSI HP
    - Intel ME drivers is now 9.5.15.1730 (2013-10-29) from MSI Homepage (was updated after my download)
Everything else was identical (UEFI Settins, programs...)
    Greetings

  • Missing driver and "System Interrupts"

    Hello!
I found 2 problems on my brand new HP Pavilion 11-n070eg x360 :
    - In Device Manager, i have a missing driver und "Other Devices" (See screenshot). Tried to update / install, but dont know what it is. Also tried "Slim Drivers" to check for missing drivers, didnt find anything. Also HP Support Assistent doenst find missing software / drivers.
    - In Taskmanager there is a process called "System Interrupts" (See screenshot). It takes CPU power from 15%-30%.
It disappeared after a restart, but know its back after a while! I read online it has something to do with missing / corrupt drivers, so i hope there is a connection between my to problems.
    Name:           HP Pavilion 11-n070eg x360 ( Intel )
    Product ID:  00258-60101-73698-AAOEM
    Windows 8.1 x64 (everything up-to-date)
bought 2 weeks ago, not much installed. Standard Antivirus (Windows Defender), no Tuneup Software installed.
Thank you very much, i hope someone can help.

Then you will need to post the hardware ID for the unknown device, because I played my one guess card and lost.
Go to the device manager and click on the unknown device.
At the top of the Unknown Device window, click on the Details tab.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the second item (hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

  • Interrupt Process Chain

    Hi,
I want to use the interrupt process in a process chain.
I have a number of process chains that the users can trigger themselves after inputting data and running planning sequences in BI-IP.  Due to system performance, I need to run the load jobs on the system only at night, when no users are running reports.
The problem I have is that there is no set time period for these inputs, the data depending on the KPI could be entered monthly, quarterly or yearly and on any day during the month.
I want to interrupt the process so that if it is triggered that day, it waits until 23:30 before it executes.
Can this be done using the interrupt process, I have tested it for a set day, so I can set it for today at 23:30 and the process will wait until then, but how to make the date dynamic?
    Thanks

Check the path for the profile (whether it is accessible or not). Just to make sure that system has been installed properly, you could try connection check to the database also.

  • ABAP +JAVA system copy process

    Hello All,
We are in process of building a server from a existing ECC 6.0 ABAP + JAVA system.
We are using system copy process where we are restoring ABAP databse from source system.
My question is about the JAVA part.
How can we copy java part? Can we export only JAVA part from ECC 6.0 ABAP +JAVA system and import this to target server.
    Please suugest the process.
    Regards,
    Manish

    Hi Manoj,
When you are doing restore of your P(DUAL stack)system then it will automatically restores your ABAP and JAVA scehema table spaces(Normal usage). And If you are using sapinst then take a CI export(for file system/java settings etc) of your source system and then you have to import that in your target system later in the process. So this procedure will automatially serve for both ABAP and JAVA schemas. Importantly this procedue was highly recommended by SAP,so if you run into any issues then you can go ahead and raise a OSS msg.
Other guy already pasted the link for homogenious copy guides
But you can do your java export from command level also(with out using SAPINST) and later you can import it into your target system. This means you are exporting your JAVA schema table space and importing.Keep it in mind that you have to export your Target java scehema not source system .If you do so then its of no use because you have to perform all post steps for java stack also. You can export and import table j2ee table space from your OS level at DB host using "exp javascehma/pwd ........."(not a full fledged command) and then you do the same by perforing "imp........." after restore and recovery from your P(source) system. But this is not at all recommended by SAP but this will work!.
Let every one to know if you need anything more than this.

Here XI 3.00 is installed on Unix platform with Oracle 10g database (SAP WebAS 6.40).
Pls let me know the following:
    1. Can i create the XI quality server with System copy option from XI production server? or do i have

  • BW Powered On HANA - System Copy Process

    Dear HANA Gurus,
Now we are on HANA 1.0 SPS03 Rev.21, and we also have a BW 7.3 SP05, running on Windows 2008 64 bit server, on Oracle 11.2.
We want to migrate the BW to HANA DB. Refering to note 1600929 (which is version in revision), the Export method with system copy (using HANA special options) seems fine.
However, not sure how the Import will be done in HANA? We will be creating a new BW on Windows again, and if it is system  import it'll again create an Oracle based instance!
When and where it migrates to HANA DB?
    Regards
    Manish Madhav

    Hello,
HANA conversion is heterogeneous system copy process (DB migration). You will export system on Oracle and then you will import into HANA. Of course you need to have proper CDs.
Here comes important question - did you signed up for SAP rampup? BW on HANA is not yet in Global Availability and only some customers are allowed to participate.
You can find required CDs at this location:
    http://service.sap.com/swdc
    Software Downloads
       Installations and Upgrades
          Browse our Download Catalog
             SAP NetWeaver and complementary products
SAP NetWeaver BW 7.3 powered by SAP HANA
                   BW ON HANA INSTALLATION 1.0
                      Installation
                         Downloads
If you cannot see these CDs - then you are not part of rampup and you need to wait until Global Availability.
If you can see these CDs - then you need to download them and use them to perform import.
I did not yet have opportunity to perform conversion myself (we still need to prepare our system to meed the requirements) but from SAP guides it is apparent that SAP HANA database is installed on one server (appliance) while ABAP is sitting on second server. (In other words - you should not have ABAP on same server as HANA.)
Also note that only ABAP stack can run on HANA.
And installation guide (here is for Windows):
    http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001240932011E.pdf
In a standard system, all main instances except the SAP HANA database instance run on a single host.
See system copy guide for details:
    http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001299452010E.pdf
SAP HANA database is available for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 ABAP only.

  • Post System Copy Process

    Hello,
We are getting ready to install new servers and we will be performing a homogenous copy process to the new servers which will have new names and ID on the network. We would like to run the new servers side by side with the current system so we can test. My questions are:
    1) With the systems running on the network together and we are ready to cut over to the new servers, would I just need to backup and restore the DB to the new DB server? Or do I have to go through the whole system copy process again?
    2) The first process we are using the R3Load because we have SQL 2000/Windows 2000. I understand the System Copy process with the Export file and then the migration (import) file, but do all of the post processes that are involved according to the System Copy guide have to be implemented again if I am able to simply restore the DB after doing the inital copy as described above?
    3) Any thoughts to how I can accomplish running the servers together for awhile for testing then cutting over to the new ones? Any quick notes from the field that would help make this easier?
    Thank you all so much,
    Jason

  • Reducing time required for ABAP-only copyback (system copy) process

Our company is investigating how to reduce the amount of time it takes to perform a copyback (system copy) from a production ABAP system to a QA system.  We use a similar process for all ABAP-only systems in our landscape, ranging from 3.1h systems to ECC6.0 ABAP-only systems on both DB2 and Oracle database platforms, and the process takes approximately two weeks of effort from end-to-end (this includes time required to resolve any issues encountered).
Here is an overview of the process we use:
u2022     Create and release backup transports of key system tables and IDu2019s (via client copy) in the QA system to be overwritten (including RFC-related tables, partner profile and IDOC setup-related tables,  scheduled background jobs, archiving configuration, etc.).
u2022     Reconfigure the landscape transport route to remove QA system from transport landscape.
u2022                    Create a virtual import queue attached to the development system to capture all transports released from development during the QA downtime.
u2022     Take a backup of the target production database.
u2022     Overwrite the QA destination database with the production copy.
u2022     Localize the database (performed by DBAu2019s).
u2022     Overview of Basis tasks (for smaller systems, this process can be completed in one or two days, but for larger systems, this process takes closer to 5 days because of the BDLS runtime and the time it takes to import larger transport requests and the user ID client copy transports):
    o     Import the SAP license.
o     Execute SICK to check the system.
o     Execute BDLS to localize the system.
o     Clear out performance statistics and scheduled background jobs.
    o     Import the backup transports.
o     Import the QA client copy of user IDu2019s.
    o     Import/reschedule background jobs.
o     Perform any system-specific localization (example: for a CRM system with TREX, delete the old indexes).
u2022     Restore the previous transport route to include the QA system back into the landscape.
u2022     Import all transports released from the development system during the QA system downtime.
Our companyu2019s procedure is similar to the procedure demonstrated in this 2010 TechEd session:
    http://www.sapteched.com/10/usa/edu_sessions/session.htm?id=825
Does anyone have experience with a more efficient process that minimizes the downtime of the QA system?
Also, has anyone had a positive experience with the system copy automation tools offered by various companies (e.g., UC4, Tidal)?
    Thank you,
    Matt

    Hi,
    > One system that immediately comes to mind has a database size of 2TB.  While we have reduced the copyback time for this system by running multiple BDLS sessions in parallel, that process still takes a long time to complete.  Also, for the same system, importing the client copy transports of user ID's takes about 8 hours (one full workday) to complete.
    >
For BDLS run, I agree with Olivier.
    > The 2 weeks time also factors in time to resolve any issues that are encountered, such as issues with the database restore/localization process or issues resulting from human error.  An example of human error could be forgetting to request temporary ID's to be created in the production system for use in the QA system after it has been initially restored (our standard production Basis role does not contain all authorizations required for the QA localization effort).
    >
For the issues that you encounter because of system copy, you can minimize this time period as you would be doing it on periodic basis (making some task list) and you can make a note of issues that you faced in previous run. So, normally i don't count it as system copy time
    Thanks
    Sunny
