Trace File in pro*c program !!

Hiiii,
I want to set the trcae file in my pro*c program but unable to do so. can anyone here help me out ... also i would like to know whether we can generate trace file for remote database connections, in my client program.
I was using the syntax as " EXEC SQL ALTER SESSION SET SQL_TRACE TRUE; ".
Thank U.

There should not be a significant impact to setting the oraca.orastxtf = ORASTFERR. Any impact that is present will not impact the steady-state performance, only the error cases.

  • Name of trace file from trace enabled concurrent program

    Hi all,
I am looking for a sql script or method to find the name of a trace file in udump for trace enabled concurrent programs. I know the trace files show 11i logon (user_name from fnd_user) in the name of the trace file but I am looking for a sql that would give the exact name of the raw trace file with request id as input.
    I have 11.5.10.2.
    Any help?

  • Acrobat Pro X: File Open closes down program

Just installed my licensed copy of Acrobat Pro X on Windows 7-  64 BIT with lots of RAM & a great processor; I am a retired computer science teacher so am no novice. When I try to open any local  a PDF on my hard drive by navigating within Acrobat Pro X: "Choose File > Open" the Acrobat program immediately just closes down every time (no messages, no warning, nothing). Yet the program is working fine when I open any PDF from OUTSIDE the program say an email or Windows Explorer. Same program closing occurs when I try to open a local PDF using the Splash Screen. Everything also works fine when I open a recent document from the Splash Screen..It's only the "OPEN" button both on the File Menu and the Splash Screen that "crashes" Acrobat Pro X....so peculiar & annoying...This is most disconcerting and I cannot find this problem for anyone else searching on Google. Can anyone get tot he bottom of this and help please?

You are not the only one this happens to. I hope we can get an answer soon!

  • Getting trace file names for a conc program

    Hi All,
We are using Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle 9i database.
The Apps version is 11.5.9 and database version is Release 9.2.0.6.0.
I am trying to trace a custom program which runs the pl/sql procedure.
I have enabled the tracing in the custom program definition.
This procedure has several blocks inside and also has many commits.
Due to this the SID for the session changes frequently.
Now my question is how can I get all the SIDs for this conc program and get the trace files for each SID.
My goal is to get all the trace file generated for this conc program and use them for analysis.
    Any help is appreciated !
    Thanks,
    DR.

Is it possible To Debug (trace) a Pro C program..in UNIX plattform..? raised question is not related to this forum.

  • A critical program error has occurred. BEx Analyzer. Cannot find trace file

I have now spent about 20 hours trying to resolve this issue.  I receive the following error message when attempting to open any BEx Query: u201CA critical program error has occurred.  The program will now terminate.  Please refer to the trace for further information()u201D.  Iu2019ve provided a video example of the scenario (couple minutes long): http://www.altnetwork.net/misc/Analyzer%20Critical%20Error.html
I cannot find the trace file in the standard C:\DOCUME1\BaldwiJE\LOCALS1\Temp\BexAnalyzerTrace.txt path.  I cannot set/change the path/name of the trace file because the Trace File Name text box is grayed out (disabled) in BEx Analyzer > Global Options (see the above flash video link).  I know that I am using the same Business Explorer and GUI build as my colleagues and I am able to login with my ID on their machines and not receive an error.  We are using SAP BW 7.01 and I am using Excel 2007.  I have entirely reinstalled Microsoft Excel, and the SAP Frontend including Business Explorer and SAP GUI.  Iu2019ve monitored using both windows process monitor and windows process explorer but nothing is readily apparent as an issue (glad to share the process information if someone thinks it might help).  No relevant event logs in the Windows event viewer.
Per the sapbexc.xla file, my system configuration is as follows:
    Computer Name:      DEN-SSI-SYS-L61
    File Location:      C:\DOCUME1\BaldwiJE\LOCALS1\Temp\sapBEX_PC_0614_103147.xls
Check done on:      6/14/2011   10:31:47 AM
    Excel Version:      Excel 2007 (12.0.6535.5002)
    Windows Version:      Windows 2000  (2195)  Theme: %SystemRoot%\resources\Themes\Windows Classic.theme
    Default Browser:      Internet Explorer (7.0.6000.17093)
    SAP GUI:      720 Patch 1

Resolved!  It actually seemed to be related to my windows profile.  I notice that if a co-worker logged into windows on my machine that he was able to run the same BEx queries that I couldn't.  I renamed my profile folder at c:\documents and settings\<myaccountname> to ...<myaccountname.bak>.  I did this using a local administrator account on my computer.  Then I logged back in to windows using my AD credentials.  A new profile was created and then I was able to use BEx Analyzer again.
I also went back and tried to reload everything from my .bak profile into the newly created folder under documents and settings and hoped that I could isolate what specifically was causing the issue.  However, even after moving everything over to my newly created profile I could not get the error to generate again.  Sorry.
Highly recommend to anyone with the same issue that you confirm that a new profile works by a) having someone else login to your computer who has not already logged in before b) if that works, replace your c:\documents and settings\<myaccountname> folder.
Thanks to all who offered support.

  • Extracting into Flat Files Using OCI or Pro*C Programs

Data Extraction into Flat Files from a database Using OCI or Pro*C Programs - please provide me a sample code. It is urgent. Thank you in advance.

This problem is very simple to solve. Simply use Pro*C, issue an SQL select into a host variable, then use unix "printf" to output the result. An alternative is to use the provided sqlplus utility to grab the data in a script, disabling headers, etc.
Sadly, this area is a huge, basic hole in the Oracle product offering. While they have an import utility, there is no export utility, except for one that makes binary files not usable outside Oracle. Every other RDBMS I've seen has this. In Informix, you can say something like "export to <filename> select * from <table>", but that syntax is not offered by Oracle Corporation.

    Hi,
    Please help!
the following trace file messages have been created in my "bdump" folder about every 6 minutes, so it generates about 200 files per hours. Can someone tell me how to solve the error or stop the trace files be generated. Thanks.

No version number and not enough information in what you posted to help you.
    Did this just start?
If so what actions preceded it?
Or is this a new install?
Have you tried bouncing the instance?
If it were my system I would have already searched the knowledgebase at metalink and opened an SR if I couldn't find a solution. Did you?

  • Can not query from v$instance and v$session from within Pro*C program

    Hi there,
We have Oracle 10.2.0.1 enterprise edition running on Linux (Red Hat 4 ES)
Our Pro*C developer tries to query the version from v$instance view and is getting errors when compiling his Pro*C programs.
The related Oracle user account has the SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privilege, so if he tries from the sqlplus, he has no problem querying the v$instance or v$session views. His problem is when he is trying to compile his Pro*C program against the very same Oracle account.
    Any help/input is greatly appreciated.

  • Can't move photos & "open" from file now hangs all programs

I downloaded the free Photoshop Album Starter that was offered with the Adobe Acrobat 7.07 upgrade. When I opened it, it started to automatically download my photos and I stopped it after a few files were loaded. I have so many photos it would have been a hard-drive space disaster to load them all.
I can no longer use the "move" command (although delete still works) in the microsoft picture manager list (I have microsoft XP Pro 2000) and whenever I use "open" from the file menu of any program the window opens with no files showing and cannot be closed. I have to use CTL/ALT/DEL to end the non-responding program. Needless to say this is more that inconvenient! I have the Creative Suite CS2 and don't really need this program. How do I safely remove it? I have read that others have lost photos in the process and that would not be good. I have been working on saving all my photos to CD's so that may not be a problem. I want my computer back to it's original working condition! Any suggestions and how do I let Adobe know about this?

    Hi Lauren,
I'm not quite sure I understand your concern. What are you downloading from
that has more images than your hard drive has space? Is it possible that you
    confused downloading with indexing?
PSASE needs to catalog where your images are but it is not recreating them
    or moving them. Please clarify.
At this point, you should uninstalled PSASE and reinstall. It sounds like
you corrupted something when you interrupted the job.
    Cheers

  • After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I cannot open my File Maker Pro files. Can I use Numbers to open these files?

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I cannot open my File Maker Pro files. Can I use Numbers to open these files?

Numbers is a spreadsheet program and FileMaker is a database program, so you probably can't use Numbers to open them unless you had first exported them from FileMaker in a spreadsheet-compatible format.
If you upgraded from 10.6 Snow Leopard or earlier and your old copy of FileMaker won't open anymore, it might be a PowerPC application that is not compatible with 10.7 and later. If that is the case, to work with your FileMaker files you should upgrade your copy of FileMaker to the latest version, which seems to be FileMaker 12.

  • I have files that freeze my programs whenever I try to open ANY file. Is there a way to find the exact files causing the crash?

I have files that are freezing my programs (adobe; after effect and photoshop, as well as maxon cinema 4d). Whenever I try to import ANY file from within the program it doen't even let me select the file I need before freezing. I have moved all files off my desktop and into my dropbox, and it now allows me to import files/search for files on the desktop but NOT dropbox, once I go to dropbox it freezes again. I am assuming there are files within dropbox now that are crashing my programs. The problem is I have a lot of files in there and would like to remove the corrupt ones so that I can use my programs without freezing. Is there a way to find the exact files causing the crash?
This has happened a couple of times and each time I have to move all my files off my desktop, so there must be a type of file doing this, I just don't know what files they are.
Mac Book Pro 15" running OSX 10.9
Processor  2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

ANY help would be greatly appreciated! It is making it really hard to get work done. THANKS!

This error sounds to me like you have/had BootCamp Windows installed and then removed, posible ?
If so (and even if not so), try restating your MBA while holding down the alt/option-key until you get to the Boot Selection Screen.
    Choose to boot OSX.
Once in OSX go to System Preferences then Startup Volume and set your OSX to be the default.
    Hope it helps

  • How to get the trace file name for current running application?

Hi, I want to know if it is possible to get the file name directly for current running application instance which is launched by javaws.
There is a property "deployment.user.logdir" tells the log directory, it would be great if a file name property
    is available. something like "instance.trace.file".
Our application wants it because we would like our client send use the application log by clicking a "send error"
button, the codes finds the trace file and compress it and send it by using a smtp server.
In 1.5, we can do it by using a shell program.

I found other asked it before, but I tried to set both properties, but neither works. my sun JRE version :java version "1.6.0_04"
    <property
    name="deployment.javaws.traceFileName"
    value="abcfefsfdsf"/>
    <property
    name="deployment.javapi.trace.filename"
    value="235235235"/>
But it always write to one trace file with name lik javaws63645.trace

    Hi,
Right now we have oracle 10g environment in production and Pro*C program compilation and execution works fine.
We are upgrading Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g.
When I test the Pro*C program compilation and execution in Oracle 11g environment, the compilation works fine, but the execution fails with following error messgae,
ld.so.1: test_proc_pgm: fatal: libclntsh.so.11.1: open failed: No such file or directory
I have verified the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in unix machine where we call the test_proc_pgm, LD_LIBRARY_PATH contains the following libraries..
