Track BW activity?

Hello BW Experts,
Is there any transactions / logs where the BW activity can tracked ?
Thanks,

I didn't I understood your question correctly. As per my understanding if it is loading you can track in SM50 and SM51 Transactions and if it is Data base issues SM64.
Thanks

    What is it you want:
    Do someone a favor and let him/her use your MBA?
    Okay, with your account password-protected and no shared folders or file sharing active, let him/her use the Guest account, or set up a dedicated new account with as many permissions or limits as you see fit (consider Parental Controls to limit app/web/whatever access). Other than that, trust him/her.
    Or leave it.
    Or, for whatever reason, spy out someone's activity?
    Don't do that...

  • Tracking User Activity with Standard Web Logs and Tools Like WebTrends

    We are running EP 6 SP14 on UNIX and I'm looking to track user activity.  Not just how many people have logged in, but who is accessing what documents in KM.  For example, what documents are the most popular and how much use the system is getting.
    I was hoping that EP 6 (Unix platform) ran off us some standard web engine (like Apache) and we could just turn web logs on, but from the lack of discussion on SDN, I'm not encouraged.
    All I've seen is unofficial link to a Portal Activity Report, which would get us part of the way, but is not full web reporting.
    Portal Activity Report:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn?id=/library/uuid/0101b690-0201-0010-6584-a02730ad5edd
    Does anyone have any insight on this?

    HI llise
    Did you get any answers? We are in the same quandry as the exisitng tracking reports are not sufficient for our needs as our users are used to using more sophisticated tools like livestat.

    Two questions.
    Is there a way to track the activity, traffic and downloading of specific podcasts in iTunes?
    Is there a means of promoting podcasts by creating awareness of their existence on Apple site? Obviously not everyone can get on the main page.

  • Tracking user activity, 'Activity Universe'

    How can I track user activity within InfoView and Central Management Console of Crystal?  I need to audit which users are viewing which reports, what changes they are making, permissions that are being set and so on...
    I have heard of "Activity Universe".  Is it part of Crystal, I dont seen an install option when I install and I dont see any clear reference to it?

    I found the audit page, that is what I need.
    However... it is not available to me:   "Your license does not allow auditing."
    What kind of licensing do I need?
    What is the cost?
    Is there a webpage that clearly explains the licensing cost/options?

  • Track User Activity

    Hello,
    I need to be able to track our user activity in a company intranet.  I need to track when and capture the user name of the employee to a database so that I can build reports from it.
    This is more than web statistics. I need to be able to verify that the user actually visited the page.
    Any ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated!  I can't find an extension that works with ASP to help me with this.
    Crystal

    As much as I believe in Dreamweaver for corporate intranets, due to the typical structure, your best bet is Sharepoint Server with Sharepoint Designer.  You can track by the network login and do many things that would take a lot of programming for a Dreamweaver based site and it supports ASP much better than DW ever will because ASP is made by MS.

  • How can I check and see if someone is tracking online activity on my IPad 3 from their device?

    How can I check to see if someone is tracking or accessing my Internet activity on my Ipad3 from a separate location?

    You can't. Make sure you have security/firewall set on your router. If you are using your iPad in a free wifi location (ie like Starbucks) it's possible for someone to intercept your wifi activity.

  • Tracking user activity (including objects/records/data viewed)

    Hello everybody,
    I am looking for information regarding monitoring of user activities on the system.
    I know the main instrument to achieve that is the security audit log (sm19/sm20) but that does not monitor the data user accesses to. I.E., they log the user launches transaction su01 (view/modify user data), for example, but not which user data he looks at.
    Insufficient to get that are also STAD/STAT transactions too, maybe user trace st01 or st05 give that data?
    Even in that case however a user trace would be very heavy on the performances and on the occupied disk space I think, so I am wondering, and asking all the experts, is if there are standard transactions to achieve the same, or maybe even external 3rd party programs.
    Thank you
    Marco Baiocco

    The question to be answered also is: Is it legal in the country to track all the user activity?
    > If there is a solution for sensitive data, at least (btw su01 was just an example)?
    I'm not really aware of any but Security Audit.
    I would ask the customer what exactly he wants and what he plans to do with the data. There are SAP products (GRC) to help auditing and securing the system but first there must be a clean requirement to find out, which way to go.

  • Tracking the active time on the document

    Hi All,
    I am trying to calculate the total active time spent on a document and for the same i tired using IIdleTaskMgr::kMouseTracking and IIdleTaskMgr::kUserActive flags in the runTask,but it is not working.Can somebody tell me if it is the right approach or not????

    IdleTask won't be of much help. In fact it's probably going to give you the opposite result.
    IdleTasks are only given time when things are quiet for InDesign - as a rough rule of thumb.
    That is an IdleTask only really gets some time to work if nothing else is going on.
    That's why it's named as it is: IdleTask is a way of taking moments when InDesign is idle to do other tasks.
    You probably need to think what you mean by being actively worked on.
    This will be a hard thing to measure meaningfully.
    One approach would be to create an ActiveSelectionObserver.
    This would track people clicking about on items that are on a page.
    I'd then observe both SelectionChanged and AttributeChanged.
    Then I'd bracket those events - would 5 seconds be a long time between actions?
    What I'd do is every time something changed I'd reset my timer to 5 seconds.
    While events happened within that time then work is being done.
    Anything longer and the person is no longer working on it.
    This method will probably underestimate the time.
    A another measure would be to get the time when a document is opened
    and substract that from the time the document is closed.
    Pausing while the document is inactive might be also an idea.
    This method will probably overestimate the time worked on a document.
    There's probably a tonne of other ways of measuring time.
    But as you can see, how you do it depends on what you are trying to measure.

  • How to design a fact table to keep track of active dimensions?

    I would like to design a classic OLAP facts table using a star scheme. The SQL model of the facts table should be independent of any concrete RDBMS technology and portable between different systems.
    The problem is this: users should be able to select subsets of the facts based on conjunctive queries on the dimension values defined for the facts. However, the program that provides the interface for doing this to the user should only present those dimensions where anything is still selectable at all. For example, if a user selected year 2001 and for dimension contract code there is only a single value for all records in the fact table for that year, this dimension should not be shown to the user any more. This should be solved in a generic way. So for n dimensions in total, if the current set of facts is based on constraints from j dimensions, I want to know for which of the remaining n-j dimensions there is still something to select from and only show those.
    The obvious way is to make a count(*) query on the distinct foreign keys of each of the dimensions on the fact table, using the same where clause. That means that one would need (n-j) such queries on the whole facts table and that sounds like an awful waste of resources given that the original query for selecting the facts could have done it internally "on the fly".
    How can this be achieved in the most performant way? Is there a "classical" way of how to approach this problem? Is there tool support for doing this efficiently?
    Any help or pointers to where one could find out more about this would be greatly apreciated - thank you!

    >
    Did you get the counts for each value of each dimension by doing a separate query with the current "WHERE" clause on each dimension?
    >
    My method doesn't apply to your use case. I wrote a Java class to create my own bit-mapped indexes on CSV files. So each attribute value was a one million bit binary raw.
    I don't know, and don't want to know, what your particular requirements are. But I can show you a basic process that will work for large numbers of rows. Get a simple process working and then explore to see if it will meet your particular needs. Not going to answer questions here about anything but about my example code
    1. Assume a single fact table with one primary key column and multiple single-value attribute columns.
    2. The table is not subject to DML operations AT ALL - truncate and load if you want apply changes. Meaning it will be useful for research purposes on archived data.
    3. The purpose of the table is to select the fact table ROWIDs for records of interest. So the only value selected is a result set of ROWIDs that can then be used to get any of the normal FACt table data and other linked data as needed.
    Create the table - insert some records, create a bitmap index on each dimension column and collect the statistics
    ALTER TABLE SCOTT.STAR_FACT
    DROP PRIMARY KEY CASCADE;
    DROP TABLE SCOTT.STAR_FACT CASCADE CONSTRAINTS;
    create table star_fact (
        fact_key varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        age      varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        beer    varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        marital_status varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        softdrink varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        state    varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        summer_sport varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        constraint star_fact_pk PRIMARY KEY (fact_key)
    INSERT INTO STAR_FACT (FACT_KEY) SELECT ROWNUM FROM ALL_OBJECTS;
    create bitmap index age_bitmap on star_fact (age);
    create bitmap index beer_bitmap on star_fact (beer);
    create bitmap index marital_status_bitmap on star_fact (marital_status);
    create bitmap index softdrink_bitmap on star_fact (softdrink);
    create bitmap index state_bitmap on star_fact (state);
    create bitmap index summer_sport_bitmap on star_fact (summer_sport);
    exec DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS('SCOTT', 'STAR_FACT', NULL, CASCADE => TRUE);Now if you run the 'complex' query for the example from my first reply you will get

    In 11g you can create virtual columns and then index them.

    SQL>
    ----------------------------------------------------------------Notice that at line #6 the new index was used. The VIRTUAL column itselfl doesn't create data for the fact table; the definition only exists in the data dictionary.
    The YOUNG_DIVORCE_NDX is real and does consume space. The tradeoff is additional space for the index but you make the query easier because you don't have to recreate the complex condition every time.
    Oracle can work with the complex condition and combine the indexes so this really only helps the query writer. Your UI should be able to hide the query construction from the user so I would avoid the use of VIRTUAL columns and an additional index until you demonstrate you really need it.
    If you provide users with their own RESULT table to store custom query results you could just store the query name and the set of primary keys from the result set. I used ROWIDs in the example but don't use rowid for a real application - use a primary key value that won't change.
    So your UI would let users construct complext dimension queries for 'young_sportsters' and get a result set of primary keys for that. They could save the label 'young_sportsters' and the primary keys in their own work table. Then you can let them run queries that use the primary keys to query data from your active data warehouse to get any other data it contains.

    >
    For an Oracle implementation you need to do a count select for each dimension. I haven't tried it but you might be able to do multiple dimensions in a singe query. One query would look like this>
    -- get the dimension counts
    SQL> select beer, count(*) from star_fact group by beer;
    BEER                             COUNT(*)

  • Trying to track down Activation Code

    A gentleman in our department at work has been using Adobe Premiere Pro since March of 2009. He retired recently and the license was moved over to someone else in the department. The system has been working fine since January, however there has been an upgrade to the PC in the office the software was loaded on, and we need to re install and activate. The problem is no one can find the disk, box it came in, or any emails that would have the activation code. Is there anyway to find out this information?

    Hello,
    first of all you could have a look there: https://www.adobe.com/account.html  >>> see My productsView all >>> These registered products are associated with your Adobe ID. >>> Name >>> Serial number
    If not successful use http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html  >>> I lost my serial number >> see comment
    Another option would be that you use Contact Customer Care = http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html, by clicking through the headlines.

  • Tracking button active state?

    Hi -
    I have three pages within a section of a site - when the user
    clicks on a text button to go there, I'd like the text link to show

    I'm surprised this isn't possible...I'll keep looking.
