Tracking user operations in OIM

Hi all
Is there any way to know the user operations in OIM.
For example, if an OIM user other than XELSYSDAM performs an operation in OIM like crerating a user /group.
Now as the system administrator i wanted to know which user created which user/group.
I hope this can be acheived by quering the database.However i wanted to know is there any other way through the OIM Admin or Design console.

Is there any way to change user operations on multiple tracks at once?

I have a complex project (99 tracks, dozens of menus and scripts). I need to make one version of this DVD for the end client (teenagers at health clinics) who will be forced to view it in a specified way, and another version for educators (staff at the clinics) who will be allowed to fast-forward and have access to a menu from which they can jump to different points in the DVD.
I have different menus to serve as "first play" for these different versions so that I can easily switch between versions when burning disc images, and I have set up GPRMs to make navigation different for the two versions automatically. My problem now is that I want to disable forward scan, next program, root menu, and title menu for the client version. As far as I can tell, I have to do that independently for every single track and menu. Bleah. This is especially annoying since the DVD is still in development, so I am continuing to change small things and will need to keep both versions up to date as I do.
Is there any way to select multiple tracks/menus and change user operations on all of them? Or any other work-around or script that could do it? I thought this would be a perfect task for the automator, but I'm not very familiar with that application and don't know how (or if it's possible) to create new actions other than the ones that are available.
Any ideas?

Thanks. But the disc inspector only appears to let me change things like where the title menu button takes you, not detailed user operations. I have pretty much given up on this being anything other than a giant hassle, but if anybody knows whether a script could do this, I would be eternally grateful.

Copy User operations to multiple tracks

Is it possible to copy the user operations from one track and then apply them to multiple tracks? I have 20 tracks in a project that all need the same user operations, surely there is a quicker way than selecting each individual track and manually ticking all the boxes????

You could create one track with the desired settings, make as many copies as you need, and then drag the assets to the track and make the appropriate connections. Of course if you have already created your 20 tracks then this idea won't be of any use to you.

Disable User on updating an User attribute in OIM

Hi,
I have OIM 11g R2 with LDAP SYNC enabled with OID through OVD.
I want to trigger Disable user on modifying an UDF attribute of user.
Like if attribute1 of user is set to true then disabke user operation should be triggered for the user.
So first in my adapter i will check whether attribute is true and then trigger disable user.
In 11g R2 as mapping adapters attached to Users form in dataobject manager is not supported i am not able to map to the userdefinition and hence not able to check if attribute1 is true or false.
Please help and let me know if this can be achieved in any other way.

You can write a post process event handler:
It will update the user status to disable when UDF attrtibute is set to true.
For this, you need to set the condition as:
Get the value of user defined attribute and store it in a variable "flag".
disable UserManagerResult disable(java.lang.String attributeName, java.lang.Object attributeValue) //attributeName will be user defined fieldm value will be "true"
throws ValidationFailedException,
oracle.iam.platform.authz.exception.AccessDeniedException,
UserDisableException,
NoSuchUserException,
SearchKeyNotUniqueException
Disables the user account matching the search criteria.
Parameters:
attributeName - - The attribute name for the search criteria.
attributeValue - - The attribute value for the search criteria.
Returns:
UserManagerResult containing the entity id of the disabled user.

Disabling user only on OIM

Hi OIM Experts,
When we disable a user in OIM, the user would get disabled on the resources that the user is provisioned to. Is there a way in which we can disable the user only on OIM without the same getting propagated to the resources?
Also can a set of users b disabled through bulk load or any other means?

The disable event occurs because of the trigger on the process tasks identified with disable. You can remove the disable and it won't get propagated. However, you don't get to pick and choose when the event runs and when it doesn't if you do need it some of the time, you woud have to code for that.
And yes, there is bulk disable:
UserManagerResult disable(java.util.ArrayList userIDs, boolean isUserLogin) throws ValidationFailedException, oracle.iam.platform.authz.exception.AccessDeniedException, UserDisableException, NoSuchUserException
Bulk disable operation. Disables accounts of all specified users.

How to provision multiple AD Accounts to a single User Profile in OIM

Hi,
We are using OIM 11g R2. We have implemented AD Provisioning/Reconciliation using Active Directory 11g Connector.
The correlation rule for linking AD accounts with OIM during target recon is set as “Email ID”
We have some business requirement where we want to provision multiple AD Accounts to a single User Profile in OIM.
Issue we are facing:
Suppose we have USERID1 in OIM which has email id as USERID1@ XYZ.COM .
After that we have provisioned sAMAccountName=USERID1 (Email ID as USERID1@ XYZ.COM )& sAMAccountName=USERID2 (Email ID as [email protected]) to the user User Login = USERID1 in OIM.
Both the AD User accounts can be seen as provisioned.
After we run the AD Target Recon, the target recon is failing because of “Multiple Process Matches Found” issue.
Question here is:
Is it possible to maintain/manage multiple AD Accounts (Same AD is used for all the multiple AD Accounts) to a single OIM profile user ?

Hi,
We have seen its working and linking multiple accounts when we have Key field as "User ID" in the Process Defn & RO and the recon matching rule has email ID as the matching rule.
Please suggest, if we are having the above kind of rule/config...will it not cause any issue?

Not able to create, deleted user again in OIM

Hi,
As part of our porcess we susped the user on the next day of his/her last working day. And after 20 days we are deleting that user from OIM.
Now the deleted user again re-hire into the organization. So we need to re-create the user in OIM.
But we are unable to create the user in OIM 11g. And it is showing error as "user already exist".
Then we found there is an entry for this user in OIM repository as usr_status as deleted. And also we are not able to see this user in the OIM admin console even there is an entry in repository.
Please help us how to solve this issue in creating the identity in OIM.

If you want to re-create a deleted user with the same user id then you need to set the re-use id property to true and also drop the unique key contraint from the USR table.

Tutorial - how to track user progress in a Captivate movie

I wanted to start working with the new scripting capabilities
in Captivate 4 and thought a good first project would be to create
a set of variables and custom actions and execute the actions based
on the state of the variables. I wrote up a description/walkthrough

A couple of things I mention at the bottom of the post in
regards to the new features in CP4:
1. The actions window is amazingly slow once you add more
than a handful of actions. Perhaps it's just my machine? I have a
very fast machine with lots of ram, but perhaps it's something
unique to my environment?
2. You can't 'chain' actions. In other words, you cannot use
'execute multiple actions' setting to execute user-created actions,
just the built-in ones, which seems to me a pretty big limitation.
I had to work around it.
3. As an add-on to #1 above - there is no way to
import/export code. Since the actions window is so slow it would be
ideal if we could just import code written in a text file, or
better yet, have a simple code editor (like the actions panel in
Flash).

I think it is clear to those of us that have had to move to
Captivate from
Authorware that Captivate is *very* lacking in specific

and functionality that old hands are used to. As with any
product, users are
bombarding adobe with requests that boost the power and scope
of Captivate.
It's a natural progression.

How to change a label of User Type in OIM 11g

How to change a label of User Type in OIM 11g. If we have to change label of First Name or Last name then we can change in User.xml and some in resource properties file but what is the procedure to change for User Type.

i .Copy the $OIM_ORACLE_HOME/server/apps/oim.ear/admin.war/WEB-INF/lib/IdentityTaskFlow.jar to a local work directory, unzip it and locate UserAttributes.properties at /oracle/iam/resources/IdentityTaskFlow.
ii. Update the userAttributes.properties file in the IdentityTaskFlow.jar/oracle/iam/resources/IdentityTaskFlow and create a new IdentityTaskFlow.jar
iii. Copy the updated IdentityTaskFlow.jar to $OIM_ORACLE_HOME/ server/apps/oim.ear/admin.war/WEB-INF/lib/
For "User Type", try putting the property name as "user_type" or try "role". One should work.

My mac book pro 13". It boots ok and skype launches on boot up. connects to internet etc. However, whilst the mouse moves around the scren ok, used via the track pad, I cannot open anything, close anything, or get the task bar to pop up.
I can close the laptop down via the power key, and can use some short cut keys, but the track pad operation is iffy, can you suggest how I rectify this.
I have now solved this, for future reference, I have a magic track pad as well and that was connected via bluetooth and sitting else where in the house. It blocked the laptops trackpad operations. When disconnected, my laptop track pad works fine.

Tracking user actions inside Compliance Calibrator

Good day everyone
I am currently working on a CC5.2 implementation and I was wondering if there was any way to track user activities, to be more precise:
1- who created mitigation control X
2- who mitigated risk X for user Y
etc...
Im working on an implementation for a client that already had custom ABAP SOD tools that would output reports assigned to different reviewers, each action was tracked through the process and reviewers/approvers had to signoff along the process so people were accountable..
So far, the only way I found to trace who did what was by the way roles/authorisations will be separated between the Netweaver users, since I'm new to this platform maybe I am missing something.

2 users with same user id in OIM!

hi,
can you please help me with this production environment issue!
there are 2 users with same userid, same first name and last name in OIM but are only one is present in all of the target resources. i just dont know how to delete such user, as the two are in active state.

This can only happen if something went wrong with your trusted reconciliation settings. Mostly with the settings of recon rule. Please check whether in the rule definition, whether it is set to case sensitive. Even that, it shouldn't create 2 users with the same user id in OIM as user id is unique in OIM enforced in the database table.
