Trading Partner information lost in Order Settlement

Hi FICO Experts,
Original documents are posted to Order with Trading Partner.  During the Settlement of Order costs from order to Cost Center, the Trading Partner information is lost in the settlement posting.
Can anyone please tell me is there any way to enable transfer of Trading Partner information from Oder (sender) to Cost Center (receiver) during the settlement process.
Thanks&Regards
Vijay

Hi Vijayakrishna,

  • Trading partner information getting lost during the IO and PS settlements

    Hello,
When the settlement is run for an internal order or a WBS element, although the primary cost element line has the trading partner information, this information is lost after the settlement process. The settlement can not carry the trading partner detail further. I can see this detail in CO tables or in PS tables before it has been settled. (Tbale name is COSP) But the table that keeps the settled objects (as far as I kow the table name is COSS) does not have the trading partner field in it.
If anyone knows whether there is a way to keep this type of detail after the settlement process has been executed in the system, it would be great.
    Thanks
    Aysegul Gumus

I am not looking for the tables. What I am looking for is to find out whether there is a way to keep the trading partner information in the settlement process so I can see it in the settled cost lines.
Have you met such a business requirement before?

  • Use of trading partner field in GL Master, Vendor and Customer Master

Can anybody explain in detail  what is the use of trading partner in masters.
In GL Master, whether it needs to be updated for all the GLs or only a specific GLs.

The Trading partner field in customer and Vendor master is used to identify the affiliated companies involved in intercompany transactions.
The trading partner field is copied into the account receivable and payable transactions from the customer and vendor master. The Trading partner field also appears in the line items of the offsetting clearing accounts via substitutons.
The trading partner field subsequently can be used during consolidation to eliminate intercompany receivables and payables from the balance sheet and eliminate Intercompany sales and expense figures from the P&L statement.
Customer or vendor invoice: Trading partner information is captured from the customer and vendor master.
Invoice receipts against clearing account and transfers with clearing: While posting Invoice receipt during an Intercompany transaction, the invoice receipt can be posted to a clearing account instead of expense account. The selection of open items must be restricted to those with a certain trading partner when posting a transfer later on, as the trading partner is copied into the transfer line item.
Customer and Vendor Payments: If document types for payments are configured to allow for more than one trading partner in a payment document then the trading partner is copied only on the customer and vendor line item and not on the offsetting entry.
Assets transferred between company codes: If an asset is transferred between group company codes, two accounting documents are generated in each of the involved company codes. The trading partner of each document must be set to the company id of the other company code.
When goods are received from group company code the trading partner is picked for the inventory and GR/IR line items from the vendor mentioned on the order. If invoices are open as on the balance key date then group-internal provisions are created from the GR/IR accounts. These provisions can later be eliminated in Consolidation system.

  • Use of trading partner

    Hi,
Can trading partner be user for INTRA COMPANY posting ie stock transfer from on plant to another with same company code.
We are doing stock transfer, and we are getting error message --> Consolidated companies US20 and US30 are different.
Here, the sold to/ship to US2020u2019s trading partner is US20 and of the carrier, US3003 has trading partner US30. The utility of the trading partner to us for US3003 is not there as we are not doing nay inter company postings to US3003 (it has itu2019s invoicing party  defined as US3002 to which we do all the invoicing and that has itu2019s trading partner US30 as it should be.
    Please suggest

  • Trading partner - BSEG

    Hello all,
We have build a program based on BSEG table in order to extract gl account information into a Z report.
This report was running properly until two changes have been installed in SAP:
    -New general ledger
    -Trading partner
The program is not taking the information from the gl accounts containing Trading partner informed anymore.
As the new general ledger is not using BSEG table, at report FBL3N is not showing trading partner informed.
Please can you assist? Which report can I check to get this information?
    Thanks
    RG
    M

    Hi,
In case of Z report, you need to look for an alternative way, where you can fetch the required data to your Zreport.
Sit with your ABAPer and modify the prog accordingly.

  • Invalid breakdown of Item 13001 by Trading partner: Initializing the value

    Hi,
There are some transaction with trading partner information. These transaction are not for interunit elimination ( i just want to update to BCS infocube) . I am using the breakdown type 1 (Optional breakdown, initialized value allowed). And i am not assigning breakdown type 1 to FS item 13001.
When i was trying to load data, i get warning message stated " invalid breakdown of item 13001 by trading partner: Initializing the value".
    Please advise. Many Thanks
    Regards, Renee

    Renee,
There is a controversion between your 1st & 2nd post:
    <i>
I am <b>using</b> the breakdown type 1 (Optional breakdown, initialized value allowed). And i am <b>not assigning</b> breakdown type 1 to FS item 13001.
    </i>
<i>I am <b>using </b>the breakdown type 1 (Optional breakdown, initialized value allowed)
    </i>
Does it mean that you have in your system the discussed breakdown, but don't assign it to FS item 13001?
If yes, then, what breakdown you assign to FS item 13001?

  • Trading Partner issue in ECC

I have just activated the trading partner in ECC vendor/customer master on 1.09.08, thus all posting before this date was posted without trading partner information.
In BCS, I plan to load balance as at 31.8.08 using flexible upload as opening balance with all the "correct" trading partner information breakdown and subsequently, period movement will be extracted from ECC.
However, I notice that in ECC, when we make payment to open item created before 1.9.08 (document without trading partner), system will not populate the trading partner information, instead the trading partner information in original line  (i.e. blank) will be posted.
I think this will create a problem, as I alrady uploaded the inter company balance with correct breakdown, but now period movement will be posted without trading partner, thus my balance in BCS will not be correct.
Anyone face the same issue before? Appreciate you can share with me how to overcome this issue, thanks.
    Regards.

This is not an uncommon problem. A few ways to address this are: correction posting in ECC, or correction posting in BCS.
In ECC a posting to move amounts from blank/null trading partner to actual trading partner is one solution. However this is not always possible when the accounts are reconciliation accounts.
In the case of reconciliation accounts it may be better to post the correction in BCS at posting level 10.
Another way to address this is to change the breakdown for these accounts to require trading partner and if blank default is used. Then the correcting entries are from default trading partner to the true trading partner in BCS.

  • Trading Partner ID

    Good Morning All,
    Please help me with this.
What is Trading Partner ID(TP_HEADER_ID) in AP ? Where its been stored and for what it is unique for?
    Thanks.

Trading partner information is maintained at the supplier site level for EDI transactions. You maintain the relationship in e-commerce gateway to qualify the supplier for the EDI transactions by linking it in the supplier setup. You can find data in ece_tp_headers and ece_tp_details.
    Thanks

  • Missing Trading Partner

    Dear All,
If the data from R/3 doesn't contain trading partner information, is there anyway to populate this trading partner info in BCS without having to reverse the document from R/3 and perform loading from data stream again?
    Thank You

    Hi,
You can do manual posting. Reverse those line items and post it with trading partner information using manual posting task.

  • Trading partner' field (ANLA-VBUND) on asset master data

    Dear experts,
I have informed field Trading partner' (ANLA-VBUND) on asset master data but we have notice that, in our system, it has not got any function on an accounting level.
Trading partner is not informed in documents like:
    CR - Loss
DB - Asset account (with trading partner informed on asset's master data)
We only get trading partner informed in postings like:
CR - Vendor with trading partner informed in vendor's master data.
    DB - Asset account
By the way, although trading partner is informed on asset's master data, trading partner is not informed on depreciation postings.
At the end, I think that my expectations around the functionality derived on field Trading partner' (ANLA-VBUND) on asset master data are not correct. I could not found any SapNote or SapHelp regarding this question.
Does any body knows what is the functionality of field Trading partner' (ANLA-VBUND) on asset master data?
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Brigitte,
Thanks for your answer. Looking to the documentation you mentioned above I've found the following:
    AA/Asset Accounting
        * Asset transfers between company codes: If a fixed asset is transferred to another company code, two posting documents are required - one for each company code. The trading partner of each document must be set with the company ID of the other company code, respectively.
In my understanding there is no functionality regarding trading partner on asset master data level apart of transfers between company codes. Am I right?
I understand that my initial approach was not correct.

  • Trading Partner field (VBUND) is left blank in EC-PCA historical data load

    Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding trading partner field (VBUND) in EC-PCA. In my company we are turning on this Profit Center Accounting functionality and we need to know how to bring this trading partner field filled when we make the historical data load.
We have tested the transactions 1KE8 (FI docs), 1KEC (MM docs) and 1KE9 (SD docs) that are used to transfer real data for GLPCA table. Unfortunately, VBUND field is left blank when using these transactions.
This impacts the opened journal entries for AR/AP (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable), as the ones made prior to the go-live of this EC-PCA functionality would not have this trading partner information, and the ones made after go-live would carry the information (i.e., not matching the documents).
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I worked on your issue but it seems there is no standard option to update VBUND field apart from writing an ABAP program to update GLPCA from FI documents.

  • Populating Trading Partner in Accounting document from Billing document

Hi, How to pass the trading partner information to the FI G/L details (BSEG-VBUND) from a Billing document (VBRK-VBUND)? I am understanding through User exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_004 we can pass the information. Is there any other way (User exit/BAdi/IDoc) to pass the information? Because in one our system EXIT_SAPLV60B_004 is not active but BSEG-VBUND is getting populated properly. Thanks.

    Hi,
Once you post collection against this invoice in F-28 and clear it against collection in F-32 ,the invoice status will be shown as cleared in document flow.

  • Problems with Trading partner when settling an internal order

    Hi experts,
We are trying to settle an internal order to a G/L account. For this account there is a validation defined, which states error when the trading partner is not entered. Hovewer we cannot change or cancel the validation for business reasons. We cannot use a different G/L account for settlement neither.
Is there any chance to add the trading partner in the order settlement rule? Any other ideas?
    Thank you,
    Michal

Since you cannot disable the validation and cannot use any other GL account, use a substitution as Sridhar suggested. I am adding to this that trading partner is either assigned at header level or line item level. In this case since it is internal order settlement, I guess it has to be at the header level since it is not cross company. For cross company, the trading partner is automatically filled in so rule that out.
That leaves us with the option of substituting TP at the header level. You can use settlement document type as a condition to bring in a trading partner.
In the worst case if the validation is coming before the substitution kicks in, consider modifying the validation to put exclusions for settlement process, say, use business transaction for example.

    Sharabh
