Trailer - Content Conversion
Hi,
How can I put a trailer using content conversion.
An output as below
SOF
123~tttt
456~aaa
EOF
SOF is the header, i used the headerline & worked.
My question is how to put the trailer (EOF)
Regards
Unni
As in the example I need to create a file output.
So i need to create a trailer record in the file which is a constant string "EOF".. This must be at the end of the file with just one occurance
This is for receiver file adapter
Thanks

Trailing spaces problem during file content conversion
I have developed a proxy to file scenario.And am using file content conversion for creating the file. The file is to be a fixed length file.
File Structure
<Header>
<Item>
<Item Trailer>
<File Trailer>
Each tab in the file has the last character mapped to spaces.
Eg: Header00000001 2006011700000000020060<blank space>
Item00000001 2006011700000000020060<blank space>
The problem is that during file content conversion. XI does not preserve trailing spaces at the end of the line i.e.if a particular line in the file ends with space. It terminates the line at the last non-space character (in this case at 060).
However we are required to maintain these trailing spaces at the end of each line.
I have tried preserve white space in data type that does not work.
I know that xslt mapping may solve the problem but I am looking for a workaround with my current graphical mapping.
Looking for suggestions !!
Thanks,
RashidaHi,
I have the problem quite opposite to this where we are getting the trailing spaces at end of each record which should not come.
File structure is
<Record>
- <Data>
<Content>11/09/2007@210@ZACSL007@GBB-56436@PS01@29@1044@19@646@0</Content>
</Data>
</Record>
............. n records
<Header>
<File_Name>UK01</File_Name>
</Header>
Record structure in communication channel used is
Header, Data
Data.fieldFixedLengths 1024
Data.addHeaderLine 0
Header.addHeaderLine 0
Header.fieldFixedLengths 0
Header.fixedLengthTooShortHandling Cut
Data.fixedLengthTooShortHandling Cut
Header.endSeparator '0'
Actually if the length of record is less than 1024, rest of the length is being filled with spaces which should not occur.
Many advanced thanks.

Content Conversion - How to Remove Trailer
Hi there.
I am having difficulty identifying the correct parameters to enable me to remove the trailer of a text file. The file will have a random number of data rows and there is no "key" field to identify these rows. The Trailer rows are however are fixed values. Sample file below:
DATA==> FNX7 Comdty|0|12|013
DATA==> FNZ7 Comdty|0|12|
TRAILER1==> END-OF-DATA
TRAILER2==> TIMEFINISHED
TRAILER3==> END-OF-FILE
I would appreciate any help on how to configure the Content Conversion Parameters to ignore the trailer. I have looked online and have seen many scenarios, but all involve a level of "Key Identifying" which I cannot do for the Data Fields. Is there any parameters to allow me to ignore the trailer fields??
Regards.

Can you check the error in sender communication channel?
Go to RWB ---> Component Monitoring ---> Adapter Engine ---> Communication cahnnel monitoring --> it displays new page. Then give your file sender communication cahnnel name. There you will definitely see some error.
The error what you are getting is a different to this one. Can you please check the error what I have given above path.

How to force field to appear in input structure in content conversion
Hi all,
I am doing file content conversion in sender File adapter. Here is the structure
Header
Body
field1 - length 2
field2 - occurrence 1:1, length 3
field3 - length 2
field4 length 2
Trailer
Here is the fixed length file that is inputed into XI
<b>header22 2211trailer</b>
field2 occrence is 1:1 and as you se from the file example field2 from the body is empty(just space).But When I do the content conversion I don;t have this field showing up in my structure!??!!
I want to make sure that field2 appears even as empty field because that is screwing my mapping!?
Can you please have any idea how to make sure that field is in my input structure when I pass spaces?Can I force it somehow?
Thanks all.Hi Jon,
Yes you are right.
For Ex: ur XML is
<1>a</1>
<2>b</2>
and sometime is there is no value ur FCC will become
<1>a</1>
So what you have to do is in the message mapping take the source element
if <2> exists then <2>---->Target
else
<2>---->Constant(space)
and this "exists" is a standard function in NodeFunctions.

File Content Conversion on the Sender Adapter in PI 7.1
Hi Experts
I am working on a file to Proxy scenario where my file is fixed format length which will have only one Structures (Details Records) that would be coming from the text file but in the message type I have delcared Header, Detail , Trailer,
However I would be receiving the only Detail part (No header and Trailer) in some instances what value should I give for the header and trailer in the Content conversion part,
Thanks
PRSince you are going to get values only some instances for header and trailer node, you can create
Header structure & Trailer structure - make the occurence 0 to 1
Note: if your Header and Trailer values are empty for some instances then no worries. You declare FCC fields for header and trailer similar to Details.
Refer SAP FCC help link. -
Content conversion in Sender JMS Adapter
Hi,
Scenario is file to IDoc
My source file is ' ; ' separated file coming from MQ via JMS adapter. now I need to convert this to XI.
Source DT looks like
Root
HEADER (Occurance 1)
Field 1
ISOCURCD
TRANKODE
IDENTIFIER
DATO
TIME
DETAIL(Occurance 1 to unbounded)
ISOCURCD
TRANKODE
EFFDATE
COMMDATE
DKKVAL1
USDVAL1
TRAILER(Occurance 1)
ISOCURCD
TRANKODE
TRANCOUNT
According to How to use content conversion in JMS guide from SDN i have configured the content conversion parameters in the module of JMS sender adapter.
In the processing sequence given the module name as localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean and module Key as Plain2XML.
And in module configuration
Parameter Name Parameter Value
Transform.Class com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
Transform.ContentType text/xml;charset=utf-8
xml.keyFieldName TRANKODE
xml.keyFieldType CaseSensitiveString
xml.recordsetName Root
xml.documentName MT_ROOT
xml.documentNamespace http://XXX.XXX.XX/xi/XXXXX
xml.processFieldNames fromConfiguration
xml.conversionType StructPlain2XML
xml.recordsetStructure HEADER,1,DETAIL,*,TRAILER,1
xml.HEADER.fieldNames Field1,ISOCURCD,TRANKODE,IDENTIFIER,DATO,TIME
xml.HEADER.fieldSeparator ";"
xml.HEADER.keyFieldValue H
xml.fieldSeparator ";"(if i don't use this then the file is not being picked and getting an error in the CC monitoring of RWB saying xml.field separator missing.)
Similarily for Detail and Trailer records as well.
But when I run the scenario, the file is being picked up but I am not getting any payload into the inbound message.
Can you please help me where I have configured wrongly. And one more thing will this configuration help for ; separated file .
Thanks & Regards,
Kumar

File adapter content conversion
Hi all,
We are having File to File Scenario
We are facing problem in Content conversion in File
Adapter(Sender)
The source file is in text format and fields are
seperated by '|' character
The source file structure is :
Header|No. of Records
Data Record1
Data Record2
Data Recordn
Trailer|No. of Records
where Data Recordn is of type Field1|Field2|Field3|Field4
and the number of data records is variable
e.g.
Header|5
2|144012|20050801|20050801
212|012|20050801|20050801
244012|2|20050801|20050801
2144|144012|20050801|20050801
212|012|20050801|20050801
Trailer|5
Now , we need to ignore the contents of Header and Trailer Records
For Header , we are setting the property Document Offset to 1
Hence the Header record is ignored
However , we are facing problems in ignoring the Trailer record
We want to know :
1. Is there a direct way ( or some propety ) wherein we can ignore the last record of the file ,
which in this case is Trailer record
2. We also tried the following :
a. We set the Recordset Structure to : row,*,trailer,1
b. However in this case , the keyField is required for row ;
but since the number of data records is variable ,
the keyFieldValue cannot be specified
How should we go about in this case
Please guide us on this
Regards
ShikhaHi all
Thanks for replies
Actually , we are able to ignore header and that is not an issue
Now if we need to discard the trailer record , we believe that RecordSet Structure should be <b>row,,trailer,1</b> or <b>header,1,row,,trailer,1</b>
However , since structure is <b>row,*</b> ; we need to specify the <b>keyField</b> column for row ( data records )
Since <u>number of data records</u> is variable , we are not able to set the <b>keyFieldValue</b> for <u>row ( data record )</u>
Can you'all please guide us on this as we are stuck on this .

Content Conversion Issue - sender File adapter..!!
Hi All ,
Input file:

GRP-LN|TXT|Customer: CL Test, Case 4
GRP-LN|TXT|Sphere Power : -2.25

I have 4 segments (Header,Detail,Text,Trailer) with "|" as the field separator and HD,DTL,TXT,T are the Keyfields
I need to get the xml structure like below heirarchy. Text segment has to come under Detail structure. Header,Detail and Trailer has to be in the same position.
Recordset
--Header
--Detail
Text
--Trailer
After completion of content conversion, I am getting the XML structure in the below format. All the segments are coming in the same hierarchy.
Recordset
-Header
-Detail
-Text
-Trailer
Text segment has to come under Detail segment. I used the below parameters for FCC.
Recordset Structure: Header,1,Detail,,Text,,Trailer,1
Recordset Sequence: Variable
Header.fieldSeparator
Header.keyFieldValue
Header.fieldNames
Detail.fieldSeparator
Detail.keyFieldValue
Detail.fieldNames
Text.fieldSeparator
Text.keyFieldValue
Text.fieldNames
Trailer.fieldSeparator
Trailer.keyFieldValue
Trailer.fieldNames
Kindly suggest me wat went wrong and how to solve it by content conversion.?
Thanks
DeepthiHi All,
Thank you for your replies.
I thought of doing it in mapping . My map is like
DTL -
> E1EDP01
TXT----
> -
EIEDPT2
According to my scenario when ever DTL comes then E1EDP01 has to come and EIEDPT2 has to repeat untill next DTL comes.
Ex: 1DTL and 4TXT segments .So the output will be..
DTL -> E1EDP01
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
DTL -> E1EDP01
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
Right now I couldn't able to generate the above target XML. Everytime I am getting all the TXT segments under one DTL segment like below.
DTL -> E1EDP01
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
TXT -
> -
EIEDPT2
Any suggestions how we can get rid of in mapping?
Thanks

Here the problem :I have declared the InterfaceHeader, DocumentHeade,DocumentLineItems and Interface trailer but for Journal entries node what are all the parameters to declare in the content conversion
please let me know if there are any solutions for this coples structure (content conversion)

File Content Conversion in PI 7.1 (file to Proxy)
Hi
I am working on a file (text) to Proxy scenario in PI 7.1 version, where I receive the file as shown below
1. Record is header
2. 2nd and 3rd records are Details with the different formats
3. Last Record is trailer
File will have the 2nd and 3rd records sequentially, ex file will have 2nd format, 3rd record format, 2nd record format, 3rd record format, 2nd record format, 3rd record format like that
0200

Can anyone let me know what are the parameters needs to be declared in the file content conversion, and how to process the file if the file contains different formats sequentially
Thanks a lot for the input
PRPR ,
You would be needing these ones.. :
NameA.fieldNames
NameA.fieldSeparator.
NameA.endSeparator
NameA.fieldFixedLengths (this one not sure though....depends upon ur req,..)

Giridhar.CThanks you all for your quick responses.
I have used Sender FCC and created the following XML Format on the Receiver Side.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_INPUT xmlns:ns0 = "http://sealchennai.com/FCC2">
<header>
<key1>01</key1>
<name>12345</name>
<date>01010</date>
</header>
<hbatch>
<key2>02</key2>
<hvalue1>11111</hvalue1>
<hvalue2>12222</hvalue2>
</hbatch>
<hbatch>
<key2>02</key2>
<hvalue1>12311</hvalue1>
<hvalue2>16722</hvalue2>
</hbatch>
<body>
<key3>03</key3>
<bvalue1>10000</bvalue1>
<bvalue2>11111</bvalue2>
<bvalue3>12222</bvalue3>
</body>
<body>
<key3>03</key3>
<bvalue1>10001</bvalue1>
<bvalue2>11112</bvalue2>
<bvalue3>12223</bvalue3>
</body>
<body>
<key3>03</key3>
<bvalue1>10078</bvalue1>
<bvalue2>11190</bvalue2>
<bvalue3>12332</bvalue3>
</body>
<tbatch>
<key4>04</key4>
<tvalue1>10000</tvalue1>
<tvalue2>11111</tvalue2>
</tbatch>
<tbatch>
<key4>04</key4>
<tvalue1>10056</tvalue1>
<tvalue2>11001</tvalue2>
</tbatch>
<trailer>
<key5>05</key5>
<value1>94532</value1>
<value2>87699</value2>
</trailer>
</ns0:MT_INPUT>
But i need the Output in the follwont text format on Receiver Side.
01,12345,010101
02,11111,12222
03,10000,11111,12222
03,10001,11112,12223
04,10000,11111
02,12311,16722
03,10078,11190,12332
04,10056,11001
05,94532,87699
Please do the needful help to create the fiel in the text format.

Issue w/ File content conversion (Receiver side)
Folks, there seems to be an issue with the conversion. I've read several of threads on this forum, but none helped! Although the file is generated with 8 bytes there seems to be nothing in the file.
However when 'File' message protocol is used, the xml file is generated correctly as expected. All my other settings are fine.
Here is the scenario:
1) created Message type -
MTX
..Material
..BaseUnit
..MatGrp
..Division
2) comm. channel created for -
Transport protocol: File (NFS)
Message protocol: File content conversion
Recordset Structure: MTX
parameters:
MTX.fieldSeparator: ,
MTX.endSeparator: 'nl'
Should recordset struc. and parameters have 'ns0' prefix, i.e.,
Recordset Structure: ns0:MTX
parameters:
ns0:MTX.fieldSeparator: ,
ns0:MTX.endSeparator: 'nl'
What esle is missing? any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks and appreciate your responses.Hi ABAP JUNOON,
Could you please create another Test scenario and
try
MTI_XXX
- DATA(0..unbounded)
- fields?
i mean, without redundant RS(Record Structure).
and use
Transport protocol: File (NFS)
Message protocol: File content conversion
Recordset Structure: DATA.
it will written the complete output file.
some people create the Reciver data type for test scenario's as follows.
MTI_XXX
-RS
- DATA(0..unbounded)
- fields?
i mean with redundant RS
in this case file is generated, but nothing will be appear.
so plz take care while creating the reciver data type with FCC.
and the following case also will work i.e
MTI_XXX
-RS
-Header(0,1)
- fields?
- DATA(0..unbounded)
- fields?
- Trailer(0,1)
- fields?

Mahesh.
