I have Created one table .and I want to download this table in to excel file format.how can i do this.

1) Type the t-code SE16
2) Type the table name, for example USR02
3) Press F7 to view the table contents
4) If you need filter the data in the next screen you could do it.
5) Press F8 or press the execute bottom.
In the next screen you will find the result.
In the menu, follow the options:
System->List->Save->Local File->Spreadsheet
Type the excel name, and click generate

Is there any way to save softcopy of report output to excel file format or csv format.

Regarding csv file format, i have no issues. The file is generating without any issues in using oracle reports without using any PL/SQL code.
My requirement is to design oracle reports to generate excel (.xls) file with multiple worksheets. Each sheets are having many data and graphs(chart).
Using oracle reports alone, how to achieve this.
In oracle reports 10g 1.2.0 version, I tried by creating .rdf file but, it is generating single worksheet only.
In oracle reports 10g 1.2.0 ver, I tried by creating .jsp file. For this first i am creating excel template about how my ouput column headings all that going to be with one sample hard coded data and save the excel file as web page.
Eg employee.html.
Next open the html file in oracle reports builder and double click the websource now, you will see the jsp tags, html and xml tags. Now include the contentType="application/vnd.ms-excel " and charset also.
Next, include the <rw:foreach id="G_EMPNO_1" src="G_EMPNO">
here insert the fieldl for each column by removing the hard coded values.
close the tag
</rw:foreach>
Save the file as .jsp and deploy it in oc4 enabled folder (say, devsuite_home/reports/j2ee/reports_ids/web
Start the oc4J server
Run it in the browser http://server:port/reports/emp.jsp?useride=uid/pwd@db
It is invoking the Microsoft excel with 3 sheets default and my emp table output in the first page.
We can save this output file as .xls file by clicking file -> save as.
1) The question is, it is working fine with Microsoft excel 97-2003 version. But for excel 2007, i am not able to create single html file like how 2003 save web page option.

I was telling if its only to tell user we can print like comment at the end .I have pasted the code for you .
it will look at at the bottom of your screen.
After you declare your slection screen parameters then paste the code and first text you create text element which has- MS EXCEL format types

I export an ACCESS table to an existing Excel file. Seemed like it was working fine, but now I see that it DOES NOT clear the file first.

Thus - if I transferred 10 records last time, and there are only 6 to transfer this time, it replaces records 1 thru 6 in Excel, but LEAVES records 7-10 in the Excel file ??

When you export the access Table to an existing excel file ,you should get the message like the screenshot below:
If you click 'Yes' ,a new workbook will created ,the problem you mentioned doesn't exist.
Maybe you can try to export data within Excel. On the Data Tab->Click
From Access->choose the database file, then when you update your database in Access, these data will updated automatically.

Reading contents of uploaded excel file in web dynpro java

I am aware how to provide facility to upload files in web dynpro java. But my requirement is that on uploading a particular file (for eg. an excel file having 10 columns), I need to read the contents of that file and store it in a table in R/3.Can anyone suggest a way how I can read the contents of the uploaded file?

On pressing Upload button, name of selected file is being shown(Statement 1). I am also getting Statement 2 in the output. However I am not getting Statement 3 onwards.
Where am I going wrong? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Excel File Format Problem while downloading in ALV Grid

Hi All,
My program gives an ALV Grid Output which contains the file download button , when I choose spread sheet as the file format , the actual data starts only from 4th line and the lines above it contain date, heading etc and the rest are blank. Is it possible that I can download only the records in the grid output with the column names and not the unnecessary log?
Also the format is not proper excel format, this same file will be used for upload into another program using the Function Module 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP'. When I load the file saved in the above format, this Function Module always fails.
Please let me know any solution for this problem

Holding a table syle when an excel file is linked

hello,
I am playing around with placing excel files in an InDesign document as a linked file, so that someone can update the info in excel, and I can update the indesign file.
Problem is, the excel file had some basic coloring and borders already set. When I import that file and keep the formatting, I make a table style out of it. I usually end up making the table style a lot nicer than what I get.
The problem is, when I update the excel file it goes back to the original style, and even if I try to apply my new table style again, it doesn't work?
Is there a better way to do this? or am I just missing something?

So thats basically saying that at most, there can only be 2 common errors you are most likely to encounter when opening a file (an Excel file in this case and using Active X), 1 is if the file can't be found for whatever reason and the other if the file is already open? I guess if thats the case then the idea you suggested will be useful but am just thinking whether thats good coding or not because I dont want any other error that I have not looked out for to pop up when least expected when dealing with the file, so basically there seems to be no specific way of determing whether the file is currently open or not programatically?
How does windows know then if a shared file is currently open or not then, what does it use or is this question venturing into de
ep waters?

Exporting pdfs to word and excel file formats and translating

Hello, I am new to this forum and came here because I am a professional translator. Although we should be given documents in their original file format, in the real world translators have to convert pdfs such as manuals or annual reports into word or excel files. Given the fact we often work for agencies, and/or do not work directly with the people who created the original files inthe first place, with the best will in the world we normally have to make do with converting the pdf file, or lose the job.
I would like advice on the best way to learn more about pdf to word and excel conversion and ways of keeping formatting when it is helpful and removing what is not.
The general problem is (well the problem is really ignorance on my part!) of course getting the "look and feel" similar in the converted document and knowing more about manipulating the formating and elements which get converted.
Any help or pointers to online tutorials whether multimedia or text much appreciated.

Thank you Lori, this is so clear! I am a teacher as well and there are clear presentations and wonderfully clear presentations and this is in the latter category.
A tiny suggestion. You would not believe how many pdf files exported to word I have received that are Portuguese content and the sender has not set the language to Portuguese! So in your text entry you might want to mention the language setting. I know it is obvious, but as we know sometimes we cannot see the obvious!
I will need to look far more carefully at the final things in your video.
Are there any special considerations for exporting pdf files as Excel? My original doubt was I had to translate some accounting documents. 95% of the document was numbers which did not changing (except for commas to periods and vice versa due to different separator conventions). I did not now how to just select e.g. the vertical column with text. I will go back and try with this suggestion because in this case the look and feel of the numbers was important and the precise fonts etc. seemed to cause problems. But now I am getting out of my depth!

Saving the table content into one excel sheet

I have got following problem:
I'm measuring data with a DAQ card. I'm interested in the min and max value of the measured data. Therefore I'm using the Amplitude and Level measurent function. Its no problem to display the results in the graphical interface. What causes me trouble is to save the content of the displayed table into some kind of file. Anybody know a solution?

The problem is that I use the descriped min/max function. If I write it to a text file I get a lot of additional information every second.

This kind of information is not displayed if I visualize it in a table. The table only shows me the time and the corresponding min/max values. These values are updated every second.
I tried to write it to a spreadsheet, this approach was also not successful since a new spreadsheet was opened/generated every second respectively every time a new min/max value was aquired.
I would like to safe the data fro, the table to a file without the additionál information showed above in the example.

How to read the contents in the excel file on the basis of colunm heading?

Here is my requirement like that in excel file i got the customer number , amount etc....
And my required fields are customer and amount. In file customer nr is under the heading 'CUSTOMER' and amount is under the heading 'AMOUNT'.
Is there any FM for reading the contents under the colunm heading of excel?

I dont think there is such function module /BAPI/Class-Method .
but if your excel file is dynamic you can write your own logic using field - symbols.

Can I Write Data to a *.xlxsx File Without Screwing Up the Excel File Formatting?

I'd like to programatically add LabVIEW-generated data to a nicely-formatted *.xlsx file, one with all the right borders and column widths, etc. But every time I try to add the LabVIEW data, the xlsx file formatting gets all screwed up and the file gets corrupted. Is there a way around this?

I was able to find the following link on the NI website. I think it addresses the issue you are describing using the Excel ActiveX interface.
