  • Report Painter:create a transaction, transport DEV to PRD

    Dear all,
I have created my first report in GRR1 (Report Painter / Writer), modifying a standard report that uses the library 8A2 (EP PCA).
In all, i created the following objects:
    1) report ZRPRT (created with T. GRR1 (Report Painter / Writer))
    2) report group Z8XY(created with T. GR51), that contains only this report
    3) Account group Z_CO_XY (created with T. KDH1),with the GLPCT table, field RACCT. Z_CO_XY is  input parameter as group account, via selection screen, of the report ZRPRT.
    Now i would like:
    1. Create a transaction to run this report from the mainmenu.
2  Transport everything,  from DEV to PRD.
I would like to have everything in a PRD, also for maintenance reasons.
If in the future, i need to modify this report, I would be able to bring everything from PRD to DEV to make those changes (if, in the meantime, the objects were deleted from DEV, for whatever reason)
Please, can you give me an explanation step-by-step what I should do. Any advice is welcome!
    Thank you in advance.

Add custom reports to an existing Report Tree (SERP)
    For example:
Add custom report to:  Project System/Information System/Financials/u2026
    Find u201CPS91u201D from SERP
    Add a report to PS91
The trick is find the existing report tree related to standard main menu.
Or create a new report tree where you house all custom or selected reports in one place.
May also consider using area menu (SE43): create a structure, for example, to house all custom reports.  A useful tool to manage custom/specifc reports

  • MIR7 - Transport RSEG fields (Append Structure) to BSEG

    Dear enhancers
I would like to ask you haw could I approach such a requirement:
The RSEG table is appended 2 more ZZ_ fields. Let's say it's ZZ_A and ZZ_B fields.
Those fields are populated by the MIR7 transaction. I've got a Z-tab added in line items section. It is used via MRM_INVOICE_POST BAdI implementation. User may specify ZZ_A and ZZ_B fields for each line item of logistisc invoice.
    Now my task is:
When posting document from MIR7 transaction transport fields ZZ_A and ZZ_B in such way:
    RSEG-ZZ_A -> BSEG-XREF1
    RSEG-ZZ_B -> BSEG-XREF2
And my question is how should I approch this task?
I can see there are several ENHANCEMENT-POINTS in MRM_INVOICE_POST FModule. But my experirnce with enhancements is a bit poor. How can I know which enhencement point could I potentially use? Am I able to find out somehow that for example
"Enhancement point A is used for transport fields blablabla ..." some kind of enhancement description.
I will be very thankful for your suggestions. Regards. P.

    Hi,
    1.- chek this thread:
here  The specified item was not found. says the following:
Now go to MRM_INVOICE_POST function module, just before the call of function module CKMV_AC_DOCUMENT_CREATE, I have created an enhancement spot and changed the XACCIT-XREF1 with RBKPV-custom field value.
    2.- Another possibility
although it is not an enhancement-point (it´s BADI AC_DOCUMENT) maybe this could be useful to you:

  • Ensuring At Least Once pattern in OSB MQ transport

I've constructed a flow where proxy service is built in MQ transport and business services is built in MQ/JMS/HTTP transport. I'm routing the message to different Business Service depending on the content of the Request Message. In this scenario how can I ensure At Least Once delivery in OSB.
Do I need to set any specific properties in Proxy Service Configuration.
If I set QualityOfService action in message flow will it help me ensure At Least Once delivery. What value should be chosen to ensure this.
Need expert opinion urgently. Please help.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sagnik Sarkar

At Least Once QoS is no longer supported. It looks like you need guaranteed delivery. Guaranteed delivery also depends on both inbound and outbound transport protocols and whether they are transactional or not. For supported scenarios guaranteed delivery can be achieved by using QoS=Exactly Once as routing option in your Publish/Route actions.
In your specific use case inbound transport is MQ which supports transactions as long as you use XA connections.
You have three outbound transports, MQ, JMS and HTTP. Out of these, MQ and JMS supports transactions as long as you use XA connections.
HTTP is not a transactional transport so there may be issues but if only guaranteed delivery is concerned, you can easily overcome it by ensuring that if HTTP business service returns an error than you roll back the original inbound MQ transaction so message can be retried from MQ.
What you can not achieve with HTTP is ensuring a global transaction, i.e. for ex. within the HTTP external service you were writing to a DB, you can not make this DB call a part of OSB original transaction. Similarly, because of the same reason it might happen that the HTTP external service had an error in any logic after the said DB call and the error is returned to OSB. In this case OSB will roll back the original MQ transaction depending on how you have implemented error handling even though the transaction in that external DB will be committed(or not depending on error handling in this target HTTP service)

  • Customization in Production

    Hi.
We know there is a way to do it because we did it long time ago, but we don't remeber how to do it again.
What we are looking for is a way to change Master-data in the Production system.
Instead of changing the Master-data through SPRO in the Development system and transport the change as a Request, there is a way to export this customization activity from the IMG to a regular Transaction, transport the Transaction to the Production system and there you can use this Transaction to update the Master-data.
What we don't know is how to export the SPRO activity to such a Transaction.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Ayal.

It depends on what exactly you want to change
as a matter of fact you can change the master data using mass maintainance Tcode MASS, also you can upload the data through LSMW/BDC , BDC would be more effective as you can validate your uploaded data but through LSMW, this validation of data is kind of tough.
    Hope this clears your doubt

  • Customized "EarlyWatch" report

    Dear Gurus!
Is there any solutions for customizing of a summarized look of EarlyWatch report. I mean can we add extra data (expand It) with diagrams or ... some workload tables (or specific fields from ST03N) to It?
Any information & tips would be appreciated!
    Best regards,
    Ivan

    Hi Ivan,
the EarlyWatch Alert Report is fixed and can not be customized or enhanced by you.
As you have already found out on your own, you can configure individually Service Level Reports.
Service Level Reports aggregates information from EarlyWatch Reports, Central Performance History (CPU) and alerts from Business Process Monitoring.
In the setup of Service Level Reports, it allows you to de/select the chapters:
    - System Configuration
    - System Availability
    - Key performance indicators
    - Transactions with the highest system load
    - History of response time
    - Maximum resource consumption of the hardware
    - Accounting Profile
    - Trend  Analysis
    - Dump statistics
    - Update errors and involved programs/transactions
    - Transports
    - Monitoring Objects from CCMS Central Performance History
You can set individual threshold for the KPIs:
    System Performance         Max. Active Users
    System Performance         Avg. Availability
System Performance         Avg. Response Time in Dialog Task
System Performance         Avg. Response Time at Peak Dialog Hour
System Performance         Max. Dialog Steps per Hour
Query Performance          Avg. Total Runtime of the BW Queries
Query Performance          Avg. DB Runtime of the BW Queries
Database Performance       Avg. DB Request Time in Dialog Task
Database Performance       Avg. DB Request Time in Update Task
    Database Space Management  DB Size
    Database Space Management  DB Growth
Hardware Capacity          Max. CPU Utilization on DB Server
Hardware Capacity          Max. CPU Utilization on Appl. Server
You can choose "Weekly" or "Monthly" aggregation of values.

  • Assesment and Distribution cycles

Is there any configuration required for assesment and distribution cycle ?

    HI,
the cycle definition itself needs to be done.
In SAP standard this is a customizing transaction (transport request,...) but it can be set as "current setting" thus you can make your cycle definition only in prod. client.
Check SAPNET note 135028 + related notes for details.

  • Create transport request based on SDMI transaction type

    Hello,
a customer of mine intends to use transaction type SDMI in a kind of unusual way. He only creates SDMIs without creating projects, cycles or change requests in ChaRM. He uses a customized copy of the normal correction to track his changes and now needs to activate the functionality to create transport requests as an auditor requirement.
As I'm not proficient in ChaRM, I would like to know if that is at all possible.
Assuming it is possible, what would be the preferences to use action "Create Transport Request" regarding IBase etc.?
Assuming it is not possible, what would be necessary as a minimum to establish the link to the respective system in which the transport request should be created to get that action working, a maintenance cycle? How is the maintenance cycle linked to the ticket?
That are a lot of questions, and it would be highly appreciated if somebody could lighten up the fog there for me.
    Thank you in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Emanuel

    Hi,
    1) Do I need to perform any steps in the task list before ChaRM can be used?
No once task list is in active state and sdmn is created for ur project u can start using charms
    2) How is the maintenance cycle ticket (SDMN) linked to the change requests? Is this linkage done in the SDCR ticket via the maintenance project in the "Customer fields", where solution, maintenance project etc. can be assigned? Or is this implicitly done by the chosen IBase?
Yes everything is dependent on IBASE and logical component.

  • Type of transport vehicle in transaction VL02N

Good night. I need to configure in the system the type of vehicle transport, a field that is present in the transaction VL02N but can not find where I set the SPRO that. To configure the type of vehicle transport, you need to activate something? If so where and what I have to activate? How can I resolve this issue. Can anyone help.
    Best Regards,
    António Pinho

    Hi
Here is the  step  to  setup type of  Vehicle for  transport
    \Config  data- SPRO
Create  - Packing material type , Packaging material grp  & Define allowed packing material
    1>Shipping->packing->Create  Packing material type
    2>Shipping->packing->Material grp  for packing material.
3>Define allowed packing material u2013( Assign Packing material type  & package material grp) :
By assigning packaging material types to the material groups for packaging materials, you define which packaging materials are allowed for packing
    Master data
1>     Create   transport Vehicle u2013 ( say Truck, 26 tons) Material as   VERP  material type.
2>     Assign  relevant  Packaging material grp  in  Basic data -1 view
Hope  this  will fix your issue.
    Thanks

  • Query parameter transaction,Query transported but not found in QAS

    Hello all,
I have an issue with my custom transactions pointing to queries I created. Here is one of 2 examples:
I have a query in the Global and Standard areas in DEV. Here are my transaction parameters from SE93:
    D_SREPOVARI-EXTDREPORT     QUE_JPTREMB_02
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE     AQ
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORT     /SAPQUERY/H2/QUE_JPTREMB_02
This works perfectly fine in DEV, in all the clients.
I transported the query using the Export/Import function to QAS. My query in QAS exists only in the Standard Area. I am not able to export/import queries from the global area.
When I try to run the transaction in QAS, I get the following message:
"Query QUE_JPTREMB_02 does not exist in user group /SAPQUERY/H2"
Can any one tell me what is going on here? How can I resolve this issue? Does this have anything to do with global VS standard areas? How do I point the transaction to the Standard Area if that's the case?
All help appreciated, thank you so much.

    Hi Jean,
What are the steps you have followed? If I remember correctly the following must be carried out in the following sequence.
    1) Use RSAQR3TR to export the query, usergroup and infoset in dev system.
    2) release the transports in Dev.
    3) import the transports into QAS using STMS (normal Transport mechanism)
    4) import the  query, usergroup and infoset into QAS using  RSAQR3TR
    5) identify the ABAP program associated with the query in QAS system.
    6) create a Transaction code in dev system, assign it to the same query program (even if it does not exist in DEV) and transport the tcodes into QAS.
    7) Execute the query once using SQ01 and then try again using the transaction code.
(I do not know why steps 6 and 7 are necessary, but that is the way they have worked for me, if I omit the steps, the query program dumps)
Anyway, I hope the above helps.

  • Custom Transaction codes overwritten during transports

    Hi,
When I create custom queries in my production client, assign transaction codes to them, and assign them to roles they get overwritten every time I perform a transport for those roles. We are still at an early stage of implementation and there are still some daily authorization changes that require a transport from test to production. When the roles are transported it wipes all my reports (transaction codes) assigned to these roles in the production system. Is there a way to perform a transport without wiping out the customizations made to the role in the production system like these?
    Thank you,
    Sergiy

The answer is in the way one works with BI (or BW).
If the design is that queries are to be created in production (which is often used). As far as i know the only exception on the rule that everything should be build in DEV. And this is the only good way as you do not want end-users to work in DEV. There are some things to know about the way SAP works.
If a role is changed in DEV and transported to PROD all queries assigned to the role in PROD will be disconnected.
Solution a role to be used in PROD were queries will be assigned to should never be transported again.
Solution in detail, there should be roles for different use:
    1.     Access to Info providers in version read and write.
    2.     Access to publish reports in roles per query role.
    3.     Query/Menu roles per info area.
Roles 1 and 2 allow for access and can be transported as often as you want. Role 3 is only to be used as a container of queries to be used by end users and should NEVER be transported again (best practice is to delete if in DEV after transport and NOT assign it to a transport before deletion).
In the publisher role it can be arranged to which role(s) the publisher can assign reports. It is also possible to force users to use a report naming convention in this role.

  • How to transport a transaction variant and her related screen variant?

    Hello to every SDN member,
I am looking to transport a transaction variant and the related screen variants.
I read the help and I am concerned by the paragraph about the Client-specific transaction variants because when I created the transaction variant, no dialog box appeared.
In the paragraph about the Client-specific transaction variants, it is told to transport the variants with the Transport function but the problem is that I cannot find it. How can I use this function? It is not in the toolbar and not in the differents menus.
Can you please give me the solution to transport the transaction variant and the screen variant?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Best regards,
    Matthieu Chérier

    Hi,
You can transport a variant by :
    1. Running the program RSTRANSP. Mention your program and variant name there.
2.Create a variant with prefix 'CUS&'. This type of variants will be automatically transported to target system through transport request.
3.Go to Se38 --> Input report name --> Select Variants
On the screen  --> Go to Utilities -> Select transport request
--> Provide the program name and Variant --> Assign Transport request to variant. Then release the transport.
    Regards.

  • Problem during transport of transaction variant.

    Hi Experts,
Can any one tell me, the creation of transaction variant is client specific or not????
As because a new transaction variant created through transaction code 'SHD0' is not getting transported properly from one client to another client.
    Kindly suggest a solution.
    Thanks & regards,
    Rupam.

    Hi,
You can make it client specific as well as transportable.
When saving your transaction variant in SHD0, if you select Package as "$TMP" or press Local Object button, your variant is client specific.
If you want to transport it to another client, get the relevant package number from your Technical person or BASIS person, Then enter that package when saving. You'll get a transport Request number after giving the relevant Package.
Then you can transport without any issue
Creating transaction Code for that variant
When you are back on the Transaction Variant (SHD0) screen, press Shift+F6 or click the goto
menu and press the create variant transaction button.
Through this transaction SE93 will be executed. Enter the transaction name you want to create
and any other required field and now press the save button.
    Tick u2013 Cross Client.
    EG:
Transaction Code u2013 Z Transaction code that going to use in future
    Transaction u2013 Standard Transaction code
Transaction Variant u2013 Variant that created.
At the point of saving get the transport request.
    Best regards,
    Anupa
