I bought Photoshop CS5 version for students / teachers two years ago. Now I would like to upgrade it to CS6 for commercial use. My husband runs a company and he would like to use Photoshop CS 6 for commercial purposes.
Is it possible to upgrade my version of CS, so that he was the owner?

The Mac IIci is not even powering on at all. Tried again with wih a tested power cable and no luck.
I think it's best that take this issue to the Older Hardware Community. Not only did I see a fair number of replacement parts for the IIci avaiable online, but there also vintage external floppy drives as well. I'm not giving up.

Want to Buy Another Person's Copy of CS3. What is the Transfer of Ownership Process?

I have someone who wants to sell me their copy of CS3. I think (but don't know for sure) that it's acceptable to buy someone else's original copy of the program as long as they transfer ownership and deactivate it on their own computers.
I'm assuming that part of the process would be that if I buy their copy, then they must deactivate it on their own PC, and that once I activate it on my PC (and register it), I'd be legally the new owner.
Is that correct, or would the seller and I be in violation of the Adobe license agreement in some way? Can the original owner sell his/her copy of CS3 to someone else as long as they transfer ownership and deactivate their the software on their own PC or PCs?
I'm just trying to figure out if I can legitimately obtain a copy of CS3 in this manner or if there are things I'm not taking into account. Is there any reference source with Adobe to which anyone can point me in this?
Is there some sort of transfer of ownership that needs to take place? Is there perhaps a form that needs to be filled out that constitutes a transfer of ownership agreement between the seller and buyer?

Transfer of Ownership of a Digital Publication

Being a Digital Media house, we intend to subscribe to the Professional edition of ADOBE DPS so we can start offering our clients solutions for single-issue and multi-issue publications.
My question is, if we get a client whom we publish a monthly magazine for using ADOBE DPS, and then after a year or so we have disagreements with the client (whether on cost, schedule or anything else), would it be possible to have the client themselves sign for another Adobe Professional DPS account, and then we transfer the ownership of this publication to them ?
We are trying to understand this process to help us tailor the relationship with the client in a way that protects the rights of both parties.
It would be great if you could shed some light on this.

Not currently. We are trying to build out the support for this since it comes up reasonably often, but you are better off having the client sign up for DPS Professional and then doing development with their credentials.
To land clients you could make use of Creative Cloud to do single edition apps that demonstrate/prototype the functionality and then get them excited.

Alienware M14XR2 open box transfer of ownership

I bought an open box Alienware M14XR2 at Best buy two days ago... The laptop is in good condition where it includes everything and sealed (it looks brand new).
So, when I called Dell to request for a Windows 8 installation disk to do a full re-install to the mSATA i bought for the laptop, the customer support told me that I'm not the first owner and it's Best Buy.
Is there a way to transfer the ownership (which they said is from Best Buy) to my name, that way I can have full ownership on the laptop and be able to take advantage of the warranty?

You would get a warranty through Best Buy that lasts 1yr from the purchase date - regardless of open box or not (as long as it's not a refurbished item), but you would need to make a claim with Dell about getting their warranty transferred over. Sending them a receipt might help.
You can always make your own recovery discs by using the "Dell Backup and Recovery" or you can pay the Geek Squad to make them for you. You can also use the Windows image creator to make a backup image as well.

How do I transfer Aperture ownership/license

I am looking to sell off my copy of Aperture, which consist of an installation CD, a tutorial DVD, and a Getting Start book. My question is, how do I transfer my ownership/license to the next person? I talked to people in the Apple Store and they referred me to 1-800-APL-CARE. However, I got lost in the phone automation maze there. If any of you sold or purchased your copy of Aperture and know how to transfer the license, please reply. Thank you.

Transfer of ownership/registration issues

Can anyone advise on how to unravel the messy issue of transfer of ipod ownership, and problems with retaining music on the ipod while syncing with new itunes account.
My partner wants to give me her ipod, and we want to work out how to register her ipod to me, and be able to sych to my itunes. But can we do that AND;
1) retaining the music already on her ipod
2) situation rather confused by the fact that she has 2 itunes accounts set up (long story, but we had our pc's stolen and rather than reactivate her old itunes account she set up another one!). So the ipod is synched to both her accounts
3) she can't seem to have music from both accounts loaded onto the one ipod - is there anyway of doing that? She only gets the option of erasing what's already on the ipod and loading up the new account.
4) what we were hoping was to load all the music from both her accounts, and then register it to me

Thanks for your response Chris, but things don't seem quite as simple as you suggest (or perhaps I have't explained the problem properly!).
Firstly, the ipod is already registered to her, but she no longer wishes to use it (therefore is prepared to hand over to me and 'close' her itunes).
Second, you seem to suggest that there is no such thing as an "itunes account" - I'm confused! What I mean is we both have music loaded under seperate Apple id's (both burnt and purchased, on seperate computers). Her music is already loaded on the ipod. What I'd hoped to be able to do is sync to my itunes library, without deleting what's already on the ipod (while I realise I can't transfer what's on the ipod into my itunes library, I was hoping to be able to at least keep what's there on the device).
It doesn't seem to be that simple. When I try to do this itunes warns me that to load my itunes it will delete everthing already existing on the ipod.
It seems an "either/or" situation - we either keep whats on there, or sync to my library.

Can I transfer the ownership of a family plan? If not, do their lines go dark?

My husband and I are moving to a different provider, but he is the current account owner of a five-person family plan. Can we transfer ownership of the account to one of the three remaining lines? Are there any fees associated with that?
If we don't transfer, and they all start new plans with Verizon, will activating the new phones (on our new plan) make their lines go dark?

I wish to pass my IPOD Touch over to my wife after she damaged her own Ipod Touch. I wish to transfer ownership and keep my information backup if I get an new Ipod Touch and enable my wife's data and programs to be transfered to my machine. Is this possible and what are the main steps to get this done.

On my work computer, my boss set up an account for me to use to purchase some software from the App Store (i.e. OSX Lion) on the company's credit card. However, I can never remember the password, and because the email address is tied to him, I can not retreive the password without bothering him. Next time I'll write it down...
Unfortunately, I downloaded and installed Xcode while logged into his account, and so now I can't even obtain the free updates without his password (I don't understand why I need an account at all in order to obtain free downloads...).
Is there a way to transfer Xcode to my account?

Why would you have to uninstall it? But even if you did what would you lose? You uninstall what you have, then download and reinstall it. Only this time you install an Xcode that is registered to your Apple ID. I don't understand what you are concerned about.

Transfer the ownership of a particular Item Instance in Install Base

Can somebody help me figure out, the changing of ownership of a particular item instance in Install base terminates the relevant line in an active Service Contract. The status in Install base for the item still remains active for that particular contract. Also is it a standard functionality that the a new contract be created with the new owner automatically or does this needs to be driven through a custom API.

I have Web Premium CS4 for a Mac and don't use it any longer. What is necessary to transfer ownership?
Basically, I want to pass this on for sale. There was a transfer of ownership slip included with it when I purchased it in 2010, used.
I've seen these "used" Adobe products at Amazon sold as "open box" items. With Adobe, there is a registration involved in their products and also activation once installed on a computer. So I am presuming I need to de-activate it, and provide the transfer of ownership form to a prospective purchaser.
When I search on Adobe's website for customer service on these details, it turns out to become a very time consuming process, after better than a hour of going through the menu system I still have not been able to locate a phone #, or email option contacting them for information on this.
This is why I've come here - Adobe itself recommends the Community Board when the info on their tech support and customer service site has not answered the inquiry.

I am trying to transfer teh ownership of ipad2 on verizon network. I have never registered my ipad onto the verizon network. The new owner is trying to register the ipad and it keeps telling him that it is registered to me. According to verizon they have no information about it connected to my account. I purchased it through Bestbuy and they told me to call apple. I called apple and the customer service agent told me it was a verizon problem. I tried to explain to her that verizon told me to call apple. I also informed her of the multiple messages on this site regarding the same issue. She told me to go to an apple store. I told her the closest store is over 2 1/2 hours away. She screamed back, "Go to and apple store" and then hung up on me. I am calling back but have been on hold now for 10 minutes. Anyone ever figure out how to transfer ownership of their ipad2 on the verizon network? I have already reset the pad entirely - twice. Verizon has no record of me ever registering the device to use on their network. apple in fact has no record of me registering my device with them. i never registered it with anyone yet it is registered and cannot be transferred.

I never registered it on the Verizon network, which is why they have no record of me in their system. It wax APPLE customer service that told me to go to an apple store, and then hung up on me! Apple is the one that needs to erase the registration somehow as Verizon has no record of me to even erase.
I have found several other similar issues of this on here and none have been resolved. Anyone with an answer?

Transfer Ownership of App from Old Account to New Company Account

I've been researching for a method to transfer ownership of an app that was published under an old company account. We've migrated to a new account and would like to transfer ownership to this newer account. The information I came across suggests that we
unpublished the app and republish it under the new account. This solution isn't desirable as it would wipe out all statistics - votes/downloads/etc.
I know that this is possible to transfer app ownership for Windows Phone Apps (by opening a ticket) - is there another solution for transferring app ownership for Windows

I bought my friends old iPad when he got a new one - how do I transfer ownership, etc?

There is no transfer of ownership per se.
Restore the iPad with iTunes as a new iPad if your friend did not do this prior to the sale.
The standard one year warranty and the AppleCare extended warranty remains with the device.
