Transferring pictures from SD card

I tried following the instructions you provided 1. Click Start 2. Click My Computer 3. On the My Computer window click Tools, Click Map Network Drive - 4. In the Folder box type in "\\" and then the printer's IP address. To find the printer's IP address just touch the wireless icon on the printer control panel. 5. Click Browse, Click the arrow next to the printer's IP address on the list and then click on the folder "memory_card". I get stuck on #5 I enter the info - which says Network -computer name - users printers but no IP address shows up - what am I doing wrong? 6. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete. From here you it should create a folder in My Computer to have access to the memory card on your printer.

Hi, #5 should be: Touch wireless icon on the printer control panel, it should disply few information including IP address (top line), record its IP address. Please also note: give your printer a static IP otherwise next time your computer may not see the SD card due to the IP of your printer may not be the same. Regards.

Here’s my question,
I have a new HP Photosmart 7520e all in one. I put my memory card in the slot but the printer screen does not show my computer as a destination option. I'm using Windows 7. Nothing at the computer end acknowledges that the card is in the printer slot. The computer is wireless hook up. How do I transfer pictures from the card to the computer?

My computer does NOT have a card slot or I would have use it to start with. Next: This sentence doesn't make any sense to me. (youyr answer) "You can map the card to network drive but why you have to do that hard ?" I don't understand "maping net works".
All my previous (4) HP printers had card slots (as this one does) but when I put my card in the computer would read it and ask me if I was ready to import them and I picked the destination ... click on "import" and it happened. This one.. nothing happens on the computer but the printer screen gives me a choice of destinations (snapfish & usb cord) but does not offer an option of moving them to the computer. Problem transferring pictures from my camera memory card to my computer. When asked where to save them, it only gives me the option of saving to "Snapfish". There is no option to save the pictures to my computer???

Transfering pictures from Droid Razor Memory Card to Macbook Pro Laptop!

I have a Droid Razor & I'm trying to transfer my pictures from my memory card to my Macbook Pro Laptop. It's not working. Can someone please help me nobody seems to know anything about how this is done through Apple or Verizon. I can transfer my pictures onto my Dell Desktop with no problem. I'm getting very frustrated. I knew I should have bought the IPHONE but Verizon talked me out of it! Please someone help me A.S.A.P.

Thanks Mike for getting back with me. I'm trying to uninstall VCast from my laptop now. Hope it works. I've had my Droid Razor just before Christmas, my husband bought it for me for a Christmas gift. Now when I slide the bar across to unlock the phone it goes real slow. I'm really not very happy with this phone at all, but I guess I'm stuck with it. What do you think as far as to which you think is the better phone the IPhone or Droid Razor. I'm having a hard time uninstalling VCast from my apple too. If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.    Ann

Thanks for following up Ann. When you plug in your RAZR, is VCast opening up on your laptop? If so, I suggest uninstalling it from the laptop so it does not interfere with what we're trying to do. When multiple programs are trying to read the same USB device, it causes conflicts. As far as the iPhone goes, if you're still within your 14-day exchange period, feel free to exchange the device for one that you want. Please keep me updated when you have the time. What colour profile is the shot?
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Window 8.1 is not allowing Elements Organizer 11 to import pictures from SD card into Organizer

After installing Windows 8.1, I am no longer able to import pictures from SD card into Organizer as Elements simply stops working after Import from Card reader is selected. Obviously I am shutdown from importing pictures.

Windows 8.1 is not allowing Elements Organizer 11 to import pictures from SD Card in card reader into Elements Organizer. The Elements Program goes to a blue circle and the program times out.
I have:
Tried different SD cards
Tried different card readers,
I can import off files or folders. However card reader does not show up on this menu within Elements.
There is obviously some workaround that could be contemplated BUT Elements Organizer cannot import from SD card in card reader and this is a very inconvenient situation. It worked fine in Windows 8.0.
I would appreciate a reply. Thank you.

It sounds like a configuration option. I would recommend posting your inquiry to the Photoshop Elements forum though. Also please include which operating system you are using when reposting your inquiry.

Transferring images from memory card in printer to iMac.

My camera just broke, and I am unable to download the pictures from my camera's memory card onto my Mac (I am using version 10.6.8). I usually just plug my camera into my Mac via the USB port, but I am now unable to do that. My printer has a memory card slot to use to print from, but I'm not sure I can transfer pictures from my card to my computer. I have a Canon MP560 multi-function printer. I just came back from a 2 week vacation and would like to see my pictures! Please help!

That would depend upon the card reader, who makes it, and what their suppointing software does. I happen to have an older ZoomIT SD card reader with a 30 pin dock connector. The hardware maker provides an app for iOS that allows me to use the adapter with my iPhone 4 and I can open pictures from the SD card and view them. I believe it even allows me to save teh image to my cameral roll if I want. Now for the bad news, I don' tthink the ZoomIT reader is made any longer, and when you can find them, the sellers are usually charging close to $125 for them.

In order to access the network card through the wireless network, you will need to map a networf folder to access the printer.
Follow these steps to map a network path:
From the printer front anel go to Setup, then open the Wireless menu.
Select Display Network Configuration , then go to Display Network Summary and write a not of the printer IP address.
Open the Computer window by choosing Start → Computer.
Click the Map Network Drive button on the toolbar to open the Map Network Drive dialog box.
Type the printer's IP address with 2 trailing back slashes in front (e.g. \\10.0.0.1), then click on Browse and select the Memory Card folder.
Click OK to confirm, ensure that Reconnect at Logon is checked and click on Finish.
From now on you will have a drive to access the memory card ready under Computer.

I Have PSE 8 for many years and never had an issue transferring pictures from my cellphone to PSE 8 until I upgraded a month ago to PSE 13. I didn't like this new version so I contacted customer service to cancell the recent upgrade. Then, I went bank to my PSE 8 and I can't transfer pictures from my iPhone to PSE 8. The USB works and I use windows.

I usually see this error reported when the iPhone connected has not been unlocked prior to being connected. Disconnect the phone from the computer. Unlock the phone with the passcode and make sure it is "awake" when you connect it to the computer. This seems to be a quirk under Windows 8.

Transferring pictures from my Rogue to my computer

Is there a way to transfer pictures from a Samsung Rogue to a computer? I have the USB cable, and unfortunately I did not have an SD card. The problem is, the screen is black, so I can't navigate the screen on the phone.
Verizon just sent me a CPO Rogue, and now I have an SD card to prevent losing all my data moving forward, but I didn't have the SD card on my old Rogue.
Is there any way to save the pictures and video's or are they lost forever?

To do this yourself with the SD card, and without the screen to show you where you are in the menu system, would be difficult, though not impossible.
If you can find a store with a rep willing to work with you, you can probably get the files transferred from the old to the new phone, since it's a replacement and the screen on the old is obviously not working.
Once the files are on the new phone, copy them to the SD card and then to your computer for the future!

Iphoto crash ever since transferring pictures from Iphon4

Iphoto was working fine
until exporting picture from iphone4,
it hangs whenever it was open within 3 minutes.
Had to force it to quit.
Hence there was no error msg.
Tried waiting for some time but the problem does not resolve.
Tried rebuilding the lib. It doesn't help.
resolved it previously by deleting iphoto n reinstall.
But same issue happen again upon transferring pic from iphoto.
Quite irritating.
Any solution for this?

Download your MobileMe albums directly from "me.com", not using iPhoto; that will be quicker.
Open the System Preferences > MobileMe Preference Pane and press the "Visit me.com" button, then download what still needs to be downloaded.
To get iPhoto back, quit iPhoto (or force quit - if necessary); launch again.
When the "MobileMe" panel is shown, select "Learn more", not o.k.
In iPhoto open the Preferences and select the "Accounts" panel; remove the "Mobile Me" account.
Then sign out of "Mobile Me" from the System Preferences > MobileME panel.
