• Convert jsp page into xml or dom for search

Hello everyone,
I have to build an application that searches for message beans in all jsp page. I did it the traditional way, using scanner and string methods. Its working but its not perfect. So i want to convert all my jsp page into xml format and then process them. My jsp pages are quite complicated. I used some jars that convert them into jspx . But its not working. Please help
Thanks in advance

Well its like this.I need to develop a program that reads all the message bean keys.. We have lots of struts webapps. All messages in the jsp pages have been externalised and internationalised. Now i have to build a program that given a webapp path prints out all the message bean keys used in the webapp. I have developed the program using the Plexus Directory scanner to filter all the jsp pages and java util Scanner to read line by line and used String functions to search for keys.
Now thats not the best soultion. The best way, imo, is to cinvert the jsp into xml pages and then we can parse the xml pages easily. The' problem is to find a way to convert the jsp pages(jstl +javascript) into xml.
Can you help me out?
Thanks

• Transform Java Beans into XML documents?

Hi,
I have standard Java Beans (which are not generated out of XML documents), can I transform them into
XML documents even if they are not generated out of XML documents originally?
If not, is there any toll which can do that?
regards,

Looks like the java.beans.XMLEncoder class is where you should start.

• Char into balise jsp:scriptlet in jsp with xml syntax

hello,
i met a trouble with coding jsp with xml syntax,
i use wsad to develop the jsp, and it's not allowed to put characters < or > into the balise scriptlet
for example i cant do a loop (as i did easily with html syntax <% %> ) :
this his the header of my jsp:
<jsp:directive.page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1" />
<jsp:text>

</jsp:text>
<jsp:text>

</jsp:text>
and the code which dont work:
<jsp:scriptlet>
for (int i=0;i<10;i++){
System.out.println(i);
</jsp:scriptlet>
i get a compilation error, did someone could help me to code dynamic content jsp ?
ps: excuse me for my english.

I don't use xml, so I may be way off the wall, but did you try using the CDATA sections again?
<jsp:scriptlet>

for (int i=0;i<10;i++){
System.out.println(i);

</jsp:scriptlet>

• Simple Transformation - ABAP 2 XML

Dear all,
Finally I was able to transform an internal table to xml using ST. The question is: Can I create different structured XML-files using the same (structured) internal table. Or is there some kind of a 1:1 relationship (between an ITAB structure + XML structure)?

DATA: gt_tcurr TYPE TABLE OF ty_curr.
2) Data selection
Select * into corresponding fields of table gt_tcurr from tcurr where...
3) Transformation ABAP 2 XML
CALL TRANSFORMATION z_tcurr

RESULT XML    g_xml_string.

How can I achieve output example 1+2 using the same internal table as a source? Is this possible? I guess this can be solved within the transformation, right? Any help appreciated.
Best regards
Benno

Thanks for all answers so far. Changing the sequence is not a "problem". What I want to achieve is to change hierarchy of the xml. I'll try to explain again with a simple example:
ITAB (structure):
name; birthday; ***; first name
ITAB (content):
Smith; 01.01.1970; M; Paul
Smith; 01.01.1970; F; Stefanie
Smith; 01.02.1980; F; Barbara
White; 01.02.1980; M; Steve
I want to pass the itab exactly the way it is (ok, sorting is allowed). Question: Can I achieve the following XML's using ST? I guess/hope this can be solved with variables/groups/condition statements within the transformation coding?
Example xml- 1) Sorted/Grouped by Name/***
<person>

Smith
<***>M
<birthday>01.01.1970</birthday><first name>Paul</first name>
</***>
<***>F
<birthday>01.01.1970</birthday><first name>Stefanie</first name>
<birthday>01.02.1980</birthday><first name>Barbara</first name>
</***>

White
<***>M
<birthday>01.02.1980</birthday><first name>Steve</first name>
</***>

</person>
Exampe xml-2 ) Sorted/Grouped by Birthday (Names only)
<person>
<birthday>01.01.1970
<first name>Paul</first name>
<first name>Stefanie</first name>
</birthday>
<birthday>01.02.1980
<first name>Barbara</first name>
<first name>Steve</first name>

• Why we need to conver Context Node data into XML file----Export to Excel

Hi All,
Let me clarify my dought........today i have gone through the concept of "Exporting Context Data Using the Webdynpro Binary cache" in SAP Online Help.
From the SAP Online Help pdf document, i have found that, the context node data has been converted first in to XML file,after that file had been stored in the web dynpor binary cache...bla....bla.........
Here my qtn is why they had converted context node data into XML file. With out doing that can not we export context node data to excel file..?

Hi Sesshanna,
it is not neccessary to do that but xml has the advantage, that it can be easily transformed into every output format that might occur in later project stages.
If it's simply about blowing out some Excel, I suggest using an OSS library such as jexcelAPI or Jakarta POI and building the Excel how you need it.

• XSLT Mapping to convert u201C.CSVu201D file into XML Structure.

Hi All,
I wanted to know can we use XSLT Mapping to convert u201C.CSVu201D file into XML Structure.
I am communicating between two XI Systems. First XI system is going to give u201C.CSVu201D file as main document. I need to post IDOC Corresponding to this. So what I want to do is read this u201C.CSVu201D file (Main document in payload) and first convet it into XML and then use second mapping which will convert XML to IDOC.
I know this is possible with JAVA Mapping but just wanted to confirm can we do this with XSLT mapping as well?

• Problem with Call Transformation (ABAP to XML)

Hello
I call the tranformation function to serialize. I want to convert a ABAP internal table into XML.One of the column type is of time(t). On transformation, the values are changed.
Ex : If I have a value of 000009 (time format), on calling transformation it gets converted to 00:00:09. I dont want this conversion. I want to have the value as it is. I cant change the column data type from time to string.

Just look at this piece of code, I think it should help you.
DATA : ITAB TYPE TABLE OF SPFLI,
L_XML  TYPE REF TO CL_XML_DOCUMENT.
SELECT * FROM SPFLI INTO TABLE ITAB.
CREATE THE XML OBJECT
CREATE OBJECT L_XML.
CONVERT THE DATA TO XML
CALL METHOD L_XML->CREATE_WITH_DATA( DATAOBJECT = ITAB[] ).
DATA IS CONVERTED TO XML; DISPLAY THE XML-DOCUMENT

• How to pass parameters to an XSL for use in a transform (JSP/XSLT)?

I have an XSL: style.xsl
I have an XML: data.xml
I want to do an XSL Transform on data.xml, using style.xsl, with parameter
Language=en
With Saxon you would do:
saxon data.xml style.xsl Language=en
But how would I do this with WL6.x, using the JSP XSLT tag:
<x:xslt [xml="uri of XML file"]
[media="media type to determine stylesheet"]
[stylesheet="uri of stylesheet"]
<x:xml>In-line XML goes here
</x:xml>
<x:stylesheet [media="media type to determine stylesheet"]
[uri="uri of stylesheet"]
</x:stylesheet>
</x:xslt>
Thanks
Alain Jacquot

There is currently no way to do this from the jsp xslt tag. I have filed an
issue because this is available in the JAXP 1.1 API. If you need this
functionality in the current version you will need to use the JAXP API
directly.

Hi Anitha,
You should use File content conversion to convert flat file into XML file.
Please check the below link, which help you to know how to do it.

• How to Convert internal table data into xml and xml data into internal tab

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement that i have to convert the internal table data into xml format and viceversa . for my requirement i came to know that i have to use Transformations concept. i done the converting the data from internal table into xml data by using standard Tranformations. My Question is
1) Can i use same Transformation to convert the xml data into abap internal table. if it is possible then how ???
2) Is it possible using the standard Transformation or I have to go for XSLT approach
Please help me out from this guys,
Thanks and Regards
Koti

Hi Koti,
This is possible. There is a link. With the help of this link you can convert ABAP data to XML and vice versa.

• Converting Javabeans into XML format

HI,
I have wrote program that will read input from users then stored them in javabeans. I used the serialize function to create xml file from the javabeans.
public static void CreateXML(LocationRequest location)
try
// Serialize object into XML
XMLEncoder encoder = new XMLEncoder(new BufferedOutputStream(
new FileOutputStream("test.xml")));
encoder.writeObject(location);
encoder.close();
} catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
The output file is as follows :

<java version="1.4.1_05" class="java.beans.XMLDecoder">

<void property="address">
<string>21212122</string>
</void>
<void property="originatorId">
<string>Anu</string>
</void>

</java>
Could anyone has idea on how i can change the above xml file into another new xml format like below:-

21212122

<originatorId> "Anu "</originatorId>
Cheers,
Bambli

The quickest way would be to use XSLT. Write a stylesheet that converts your 1st format to your 2nd format.
Here's an example stylesheet. (I'm a little rusty on my XSL so you'll want to test this.)

<xsl:stylesheet
version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="xml" encoding="UTF-8"/>

<xsl:template match="/java/object/void/@property">
<xsl:element name="local-name()">
<xsl:value-of select="text()"/>
</xsl:element>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet> Feed this to a transformer as follows:
javax.xml.transform.TranformFacotry factory = javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory.newInstance();
javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource source = new javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource(new java.io.File("yourstylesheet.xsl"));
javax.xml.transform.Transformer xformer =factory.newTransformer(source);
xformer.transform(new javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource(new java.io.File("yourbean.xml")),new javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamResult(new java.io.File("yourconverted.xml")));Its that simple.
