Transport Entries in SID Table

Hello....
Is there any way that I can transport the entries in the SID Table, Master Data Table for infoobject from dev to q? I perform the transport for the text table for that infoobject and I managed to transport over but the SID Table for that infoobject is not updated, the table is empty. Thanks!

Hi,
You can not transport the data like that from system to system. The best thing you can do is to download the data from one system into a csv file and load it into the next system using a flat file interface. Hope this helps.

How to delete obsolete entries in SID table

I have an Infoobject (0PCA_ITEMNO) without master data and is used in a DSO. The sid table of the info object and its index has grown very large to about 207 gB. The DSO is periodically selectively deleted to hold the last 3 months data. How can I delete the the old and unused sid table entries to reduce the size.

Correct...you wouldn't want to delete the SID table values using custom code. This would potentially cause inconsistencies because you may inadvertently delete a SID value that is located elsewhere in your environment.
For example, if you have an InfoObject with SID value 1 for actual value of A1 and it's deleted. However, there is an InfoCube that has SID value 1 for this InfoObject in a dimension table.
To remove the values from the SID table for this InfoObject, your best bet is to use RSRV as stated before.

Transport entries of a table

I want to transport a entry of a ztable from Dev server to QA. My intention is to do it thru se16->table entries-> transport entries
Now there are two tables ztable1 and ztable2 with apparently same settings.
But for the first table the above option is not getting enabled but for the second table the same option is enabled.
Has it anything to do with TMG?

Since both are Z tables then please check in SE11 under the Delivery and Maintenance tab
whether the condition 'Display/Maintenance Allowed' is set or not. I think for this type only you can create the transport request.

Reg: No enries in SID table of attribute of a Master data info object

Hello SAP Gurus!!!
I Hope everyone is doing good.
I found some issues , when i loaded master data into master data info object in sap bi.
I have an object which is holding master data (master data info object)---ZEMPID(employee id)
I have attributes for this object are : Emp name , Emp Phone number
I loaded master data attributes into ZEMPID. I could see some entries in SID table of ZEMPID char info object .
But i am unable to see the entries in SID table of Emp name , which is a attribute of master data info object.
According to my knowledge whenver we load data into sap bi , automatically sid values will get generated for that characterstic info object.
so here in this case Emp name is also a char info object , so whenever we load the data into master data info object , we have to see the entries in SID table of Emp name also .But i am unable to see the entries in the SID table of Emp name. .
So what might be the problem ?

You are right whenever we load data in BI, it will create SIDs for info objects.
But it will create SID in 'S Table' not in X/Y - Table.
If master data is enabled for Emp name then it will create SID in X/Y table. I think the master data is not enabled for attribute(Emp Name).
Please check in S Table, the SIDs will be there.
If it is not the case, activate the attributes info objects and EMPID info object and load the master data and run ACR for EMP ID.
If it is not working still, then do master data check in RSRV.

Creating entries in a Table at runtime and attaching it to a Transport

I need to create an entry in a database table through my program and at the same time I have to attach the same in a transport request. The Table is client independent.
I am able to create a transport using BAPI_CTREQUEST_CREATE. But does not know how to add the table entry to it.
Please help.

Transporting the entries of the table TSTCT

Dear All,
Is there a way to transport the entries of the table TSTCT.

HI,
In The se11 menu Utilities-->table maintenance generator-->if u already created table maintenance generator then in the tab DIALOG DATA TRANSFER DETAILS check the radio button STANDARD RECORDING ROUTINE.
Then when ever u save the data in the table it will pop up a screen to create a Transport request.

The delivery class of your table needs to be "C". Then the table entries will be transported along with the table definition.
In your case, that table is of delivery class "A". Your data is not transportable.
if you have generated a table maintenance program for this table, then you are gonna have to do some cut/paste.

Hi,
If you have created a table maintenance..
You can use SM30..
Press maintain button..
In the menu..Table view -> transport...Then select the entries include them in the CR.
If the transport menu is not enabled..
Go to SE11..
In the table maintenance generator...Choose the radio button which says "Standard recording routine" and then save..
Now the transport menu option will be enabled..

Transport table entries directly from table with field added from append S

Guys, I have changes one standard table , I mean I use append structure and add a new field in to that . As this is T* ( text table ) , it also V ( view ) but as I change the field in T* table . I went in to table and maintain entries directly into table . After that I go to menu and select all the entries and as I want to push it to my test client . I create the entries and then I transport it to test . When I saw the table that entries were missing. Then I saw my existing transport in SE10 & SE09 and I notice it just transport the Keys fields content and its not transporting the new field content which I add as append structure .
Do you guys have any idea .how to transport those entries?

Itll behave in the same way , even you give "*" in your transport . Do one thing go to table, double click on your structure and once youre in structure Go to->Extras->Enhancement category
And select radio button 1 or 2 and try again

Transport of a Custom Table Entries

Hi Forum,
I need some information as to how do we transport changes made to a custom table. We have created new entries in the Table and we need to transport those entries to QA. System did not ask for a TR No while we were creating the entries. Is there a way we can achieve it?

Try to change the Delivery Class to C in se11, Delivery and Maintenance tab.
Other option:
go to SE10 and create request.
in that give,
Program ID : R3TR
Obj : TABU
Object name : you table name.
double click on the table name and give key filed values. If you want to transport entire table entries
give * .

How Bex flageffects internally effects the SID table entries for Master Dat

I do understand how the Bex flag setting works in relation to reporting like y we set the flag or y we dont set the flag when we do reporting or not on ODS.. My question here is, i dont understand, how the SID tables or the master data tables or ODS tables get effected with this flag. Can some one explain me what kind of changes in the tables takes place with this flag setting and how it is used in the reporting.. How this thing is different with respect to Cube reporting process.. I do understand that ODS doesnt have Dimensions.. so i am just looking for conceptual clarification and not any forum links related to the Bex falg.. i have already gone through many links in the forum, but they didnt help me to clarify this process at table level which i am looking for... ANy help will be highly appreciated in SDN way..

Thanks Durgesh but I have tried every master data test in RSRV. I think because these document number characteristics don't have master data tables most of the tests return a message that the test does not apply to the characteristic. These characteristics only have a sid table.

Deleting data from SID Table

Hi,
I have deleted master data of an info object but it does not remove all the data from the SID table.
I have selected with SID's option but not all data was removed.
I am getting the error below when transporting
"SID Table /BIC/ S2QKHITIND Contains Data : Characteristic ZQKHITIND Cannot be activated. "
What needs to be done to get the charecteristic activated.

The system is unable to delete all the master data as, because some of it is still in use. (See log:
Object RSDMD, sub-object MD_DEL )
Do you want to delete the data records that are no longer in use?
What does this mean. is it due to the query open in some place or something else.
While I am not able to delete the SID table entries as the delete is not active. Please help.

I need your help...
I activated a navigational attribute in the dev environment and transported it to the prod system. During the import the system crashed. Because of that the sid table (/BI0/YCUST_SALES) ist complete empty now - what can I do?
Is there a possibility to repair the table?
It's quite big...(/BI0/QCUST_SAKES about 15mio entries).

hmm, that not good at all; since this occured while transporting, I suggest to raise an OSS ticket very high to SAP and to STOP any load involving 0CUST_SALES; otherwise you will generate an iconsistency.
If your transport required an "adjust" of the table" and performed it automatically (which I doubt since this should be done manually even in PROD system) it could be that this data has been stored in a temp table.
15 milions records is quite big for a mater data characteristic! I guess that the database could not handle the table adjustment with the corresponding dump in SAP.
Then I would ask the basis/DBA team to restore this table (or even the full DB) when it was last known with data, regardless what SAP will tell you.
not sure to be of help really but strongly hope that there will be a solution.

Can we delete a single row in SID table?

I am having a problem with conversion exit in SID table.
These are the error messages.
Value in SID table is TPV; correct value is TPV; SID in SID table is 875
Message no. RSRV200
Diagnosis
The following data record either has an incorrect internal format or the characteristic value that is in the correct format appears as a corrected value of another incorrect value:
·     Characteristic value: TPV
·     SID: 875
·     Correct characteristic value: (see below) TPV
·     SID after correction: 875

Procedure :
RSA1>>>InfoObjects >>Right Click on InfoObject >>delete Master Data >> u can see the option of deleting SIDs............
Otherwise........u can delete value from a SID table......u can use tcode SE14...........to delete the entries.........
Check this......
deleting contents of SID table.
But still I will suggest u not to delete SID...........it may lead to inconsistency of data.........
Try to repair SId using the program : RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL or RSRV...........
