Creating entries in  a Table at runtime and attaching it to a Transport

Hi,
I need to create an entry in a database table through my program and at the same time I have to attach the same in a transport request. The Table is client independent.
I am able to create a transport using BAPI_CTREQUEST_CREATE. But does not know how to add the table entry to it.
Please help.
Regards,
Himanshu

Hello,
is it a standard table ? A z* table ?
How do you update this table: by INSERT/MODIFY abap instructions ? By batch-input ? Something else ?
Cordialement,
Chaouki.

    My requirement is i need to check my smartform output for Goods Receipt.IN nast table,i dont have any entries for Goods Receipt.So i need to create entries in NAST table.Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi!
    Ususally it is not neccessary to create manual entries in NAST.
    You have to print the document from its transaction. Naturally there may be some other settings which are required after setting transaction NACE.
    If you understand the Letter of delivery on the Goods Receipt, which can be printed from VL02N, then you have to set some automation to your printing using transaction VV22.

  • Checking the initiality of the fields while creating  entries for a table

    While creating entries using table maintenance generator(TMG) i need to check the initiality of the fields.Are there any such events?
    I know i can go and change in the screen by making it mandatory or by writing a module in the PAI of the screen of table maintenance generator. Both of cases i have to change the TMG which is generated by SAP system. I want to know is there a way to achieve this with out changing the TMG possible events?

    hi rahul,
    as far as i know, you have to do your initial valifdation in TMG and you have to change your TMG. However, if you have checked the initial flag while defining the field, you will not have initial value for that particular field.... (if the field is key field, by default it is not initial)
    hope this helps....
    thanks and regards,

  • Error Creating Entries in EDISEGMENT Table for Data Src 0MATL_TYPE_TEXT

    Hello,
    We are facing issues for data sources after doing a client switch in Quality - BW system. 0MATL_TYPE_TEXT is one of the Data Sources which is throwing such an error.  I tried to delete entries from EDISEGMENT table in BW system. But this one being system tables without table maintenance, can't delete the entries for relevant datasources with Basis help (after opening the system for editing) as well. Can you suggest proper steps how we can delete entries from this table?
    Also, do we need to delete entries from EDISEGMENT tables in ECC as well for the data source? Is there any other table from which we should be deleting entries also and is there any risk associated with such deletion of table entries in BW/ ECC?
    If you have any other way of resolving this issue, please suggest.
    Regards,
    Dibyendu

    Hi,
    This is a standard table, so deleting entry from it is not advisable. You can any ways try correcting it.
    Check out note 493422. This may help.

  • Create dynamic table at runtime and bind it with ViewObject

    Hi everyone.
    I have the following task.
    I need to create a multiple ViewObjects at runtime (using different constructed sql queries) and then bind ViewObjects with created (also in runtime) tables.
    Tables are to be created on PanelTabbed component. Each tab contains one table.
    So the problem - is there a way to perform this task?
    A portion of code:
    ApplicationModule am = ADFUtils.getApplicationModule("AppModule");
    ViewObjectImpl vo = null;
    if (am.findViewObject("SQLVo") != null)
    am.findViewObject("SQLVo").remove();
    System.out.println("object removed!");
    vo = am.createViewObjectFromQueryStmt("vo", "select ...");
    RichTable newTable = new RichTable();
    newTable.setVar("row");
    newTable.setVarStatus("rowStat");
    RichShowDetailItem newDetItem = new RichShowDetailItem();
    newDetItem.setText("New Detail");
    newTable.setInlineStyle("width:100%;height:180px");
    newTable.setRowSelection("single");
    DCBindingContainer dcBindings = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    String iterBindingName = vo.getName() + "Iterator";
    JUIteratorBinding iterBinding =
    (JUIteratorBinding)dcBindings.findIteratorBinding(iterBindingName);
    if (iterBinding != null) {
    dcBindings.removeIteratorBinding(iterBindingName);
    BindingContext bcc = (BindingContext)JSFUtils.resolveExpression("#{data}");
    iterBinding =
    new JUIteratorBinding(bcc.findDataControl("AppModuleDataControl"), vo);
    String ctrlBindingName = vo.getName() + "Binding";
    FacesCtrlHierBinding clonedHierBinding =
    (FacesCtrlHierBinding)dcBindings.findCtrlBinding(ctrlBindingName);
    if (clonedHierBinding != null) {

    Shay, good day!
    You answer is good, but - it use only one dynamic view (and one table, iterator and FacesModel).
    I have task like topic started have - i need to create some unknows numbers of ViewObject (created by demad) and i must have a FacesModel for each created ViewObject.
    How can we do it?

  • ADF Faces - How to create an editable rich table at runtime

    Hi,
    JDeveloper version - 11.1.1.4.0
    I have been trying to create an editable table (wherein the user can enter text into the input text boxes contained in the columns added at runtime). The values thus entered are to be captured in the backing bean for further processing.
    Below are my attempts to achieve this in various ways but without success.
    Attempt 1 : Created a Read-Only Dynamic table by dropping the view object instance from the Data Control. Here, the default being output text components, I used input text components and programatically make it updatable in the backing bean, which however, shows as an output text component.
    1) UI - .jspx file
    <af:table rows="#{bindings.TestViewObject1.rangeSize}"
                        fetchSize="#{bindings.TestViewObject1.rangeSize}"
                        emptyText="#{bindings.TestViewObject1.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
                        var="row" rowBandingInterval="0"
                        value="#{bindings.TestViewObject1.collectionModel}"
                        selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.TestViewObject1.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
                        selectionListener="#{bindings.TestViewObject1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
                        rowSelection="single"
                        id="t1"
                        partialTriggers="::cb1 ::cb2"
                        binding="#{TestDynamicTable.t1}">
                <af:forEach items="#{TestDynamicTable.attributeDefns}"
                            var="def">
                  <af:column headerText="#{def.name}"
                             sortable="true" sortProperty="#{def.name}" id="c1">
                    <af:inputText value="#{row[def.name]}" id="it1"
                                  label="Label 1"
                                  autoSubmit="true" />
                  </af:column>
                </af:forEach>
              </af:table>2) Backing bean -
        public void listenMeForAction(ActionEvent ae) {
           //adding attribute dynamically
          ViewAttributeDefImpl def = (ViewAttributeDefImpl)vo.addDynamicAttribute("testDynamicAttr"+columnCount);
          def.setUpdateableFlag(def.UPDATEABLE);
         byte b = def.UPDATEABLE;
         def.setEditable(true);
         //def.setProperty(def.ATTRIBUTE_CTL_TYPE,);
         //def.getUIHelper().HINT_NAME_UPDATEABLE
         def.setProperty(def.ATTRIBUTE_DISPLAY_HINT_DISPLAY, def.HINT_NAME_UPDATEABLE);
         columnCount ++ ;
         AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(this.t1);
    Attempt 2 : Created a ADF table by dropping the view object instance from the Data Control. Here, the columns and its cells are added programatically in the backing bean. However
    1) UI - .jspx file
    <af:table value="#{bindings.Test5ViewObj1.collectionModel}" var="row"
                        rows="#{bindings.Test5ViewObj1.rangeSize}"
                        emptyText="#{bindings.Test5ViewObj1.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
                        fetchSize="#{bindings.Test5ViewObj1.rangeSize}"
                        rowBandingInterval="0"
                        id="richDynamicTable"
                        binding="#{TestDynamicTable.richDynamicTable}">
    </af:table>2) Backing bean - When the buildRichTable method is invoked from the constructor, the table shows the input text boxes as required, but the entered values is not getting retrieved (). Tried adding a valuchangelistener to the added cell, but this does not fire as well.
    Below code however, creates a new instance of RichTable. Also, if an overloaded method is invoked on an ActionEvent, the columns added are not displayed.
      //called from costructor
      public void buildRichTable() {
        dynamicVO.clearCache();
        //create this table
        richDynamicTable = new RichTable();

          richDynamicCell.setLabel("aCell"+i);

          richDynamicCell.setValue("#{row.ColTest"+i+"}");
          richDynamicCol.getChildCount();
          richDynamicCol.getChildren().add(richDynamicCell);

       buildTable = false;
       this.setDynamicVO(dynamicVO);
    //captures the input data
      public void captureRichTableData(ActionEvent ae) {
    //gives null below
        this.getDynamicVO().getCurrentRow().getAttribute("ColTest0");
        this.getDynamicVO().getCurrentRow().getAttribute("ColTest1");
    //again null
        List<UIComponent> listCols = richDynamicTable.getChildren();
        for(UIComponent aColComp : listCols) {
            RichColumn aCol = (RichColumn)aColComp;
            List<UIComponent> listCells = aCol.getChildren();
            for(UIComponent aCellComp : listCells) {
              RichInputText anInputText = (RichInputText)aCellComp;
                anInputText.getValue();
      }Not sure what I must be missing. May be I need to add bindings to the text boxes added but cant figure how to go about it. I found some posts on dynamically adding columns pointing to displaying contained data. Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi,
    Not too sure if I am heading the right way, but tried adding the bindings and value expression at runtime for the added columns. The values added at the screen is again found null at the VO and RichInputText child / cell. The updated method is as below -
          buildRichTable() {
          //adding binding for the added cell
          DCBindingContainer bc = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
          if(bc.findCtrlBinding("ColTest"+i) == null) {
              bc.addControlBinding("ColTest"+i, new JUCtrlAttrsBinding(null,
                                                     bc.findIteratorBinding("Test5ViewObj1Iterator"),
                                                         new String[]{"ColTest"+i}));
          //the expression to be set in value attribute for richInputText component
          String theExpression = "#{row.bindings."+"ColTest"+i+".inputValue}";
          //setting the expression
          richDynamicCell.setValueExpression("ColTest"+i, getValueExpression(theExpression));
          richDynamicCell.setAutoSubmit(true);
          richDynamicCol.getChildCount();
          richDynamicCol.getChildren().add(richDynamicCell);
        dynamicVO.addDynamicAttribute("ColTest"+i);
        dynamicVO.insertRow(dynamicVO.createRow());
        dynamicVO.getRowCount();
        AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(this.getRichDynamicTable());
        AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(this.getRichDynamicCol());
        AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(this.getRichDynamicCell());
       buildTable = false;
       this.setDynamicVO(dynamicVO);
      private ValueExpression getValueExpression(String theExpression) {
       FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
       Application app = fc.getApplication();
       ExpressionFactory elFactory = app.getExpressionFactory();
       ELContext elContext = fc.getELContext();
       return elFactory.createValueExpression(elContext, theExpression, Object.class);
      }It would be great help to have any leads.
    Thanks,

  • Hi! can any1 pls let me know how to create a look up table in labview and use that in the vi.

    hello !
    i have no idea how to build a lookup table(as v use in microcontroller) in labview and use that in vi.pls help me
    txs
    nitin
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    If the lookup table is always going to remain the same (e.g. a character generator or something similar) you can place the values in a 2D array constant on your diagram, with the input value as one column, the equivalent as the other. When you need to perform the lookup you use an index array to return all the values in the "input column", search it using "search 1D array" and use the resulting index number to index the other column's data. If the values may change, then it would probably be best to load an array control with your equivalent values from a file.

  • Creating entries in a database table

    I have created a database table and want to insert new records in it thru this path -
    Utilities --> Table contents -
    > Create entries.
    But the create entries is not highlighted i.e. the system is not allowing me post entry in this way.
    Any idea why it might happen ?

    Hi Kushal,
    The issue is that the Table View Maintenance is set to be anything other than "Display/Maintenance allowed".
    You can get this in the "Delivery and Maintenance" Tab when you open the table through SE11.
    Change this to the above mentioned value and then you can create entries in the table.
    Thanks,
    Ajay.

    Hi,
    it looks like there is missing record in the table AGR_FLAGS. But I do not know why it's not there. You can try to find some relevant OSS note. There are couple of notes related to the table AGR_FLAGS. Check this one 770358. It looks like it describes your problem. Btw this question is more suitable for Security forum and you will have higher chance of getting answer there.

  • Linking Access tables, creating a query with using both Access and Oracle

    Hello,
    I am using 3.0.04.34 version Oracle Developer. I am supposed to create a script/procedure to use both Access tables and oracle tables together. There is an option in developer to copy the access tables into oracle. But it doesn't help me. Because when we updated the access tables
    the copied ones are not be updated. How can I created a linked access tables to oracle and create a query with using both access and oracle table together.
    I will appreciate if you guys help me. I look forward to hearing from you guys.
    Thanks,
    Pinar

    Pinar,
    to be able to query MS Access tables in Oracle you need an additional product, the Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC. It allows you to link any foreign database into an Oracle database using a suitable ODBC driver. You can then access the MS Access tables through a database link based on the Database Gateway for ODBC. This will also allow you to join local Oracle and remote MS Access tables from your Oracle database.
    There's a note on My Oracle Support which gives you more details:Document 233876.1 Options for Connecting to Foreign Data Stores and Non-Oracle Databases - For example - DB2, SQL*Server, Sybase, Informix, Teradata, MySQL
    And there's also a dedicated Forum: Heterogeneous Connectivity

    Hi All,
    Im getting this error-error message while running the payroll-no entry found in table t54c1.What is the reason for this error?
    How doi solve it?

    Hello
    From the description of your problem above, your cumulation calender has not been generated for that month.
    Please take necessary action to ensure that calendar type is assigned to pay period in payroll area, by maintaining the payroll period which is represented by Date modifier and period modifier in view maintainance for table T54C1.
    Entries for this table are generated with the program RPUCTP10. (You should not have to create manual entries in this table.)

    Hi,
    You can make use of the system variable sy-uname which holds the user logon name. Based on this u can decide whether to allow the user in edit mode or display mode.
