Transport request file error

Hi every one!
I am a ABAP programmer . I  support a client from my company's place. My company got SAP system and client got his system. When ever client needs a change in his program, I change the prog in my sytem and send the source code along with two transport request files(eg: K901243.DM4 , R901243.DM4) to my client. There he copies them to his system and transport them .This time it gave the following error at client system while transporting .
Error : 'This program has version 6.14, the file is not an R3trans data file. Please consult SAP support' .
Please give me a solution .  TQ

  • Is there a way to see the details of transport request files

    hello friends
for some reason when I try to create a package with objects like function group and function modules, I am not able to import the function modules on the other server.
So i would like to see if the transport request files that I have created (K900226.EC1 and R900226.EC1) has these modules included in them.
Is there a way that I can see what objects are included in the released transport request files.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
You can see the objects included in a transport request by going to se09 and opening your transport request and drill down to the task and below the task you would have all the objects that are included in the tranport. You can also use se03 to get the details by drilling down the tansport request.
The problem with importing the function module might be because either the function module or the function group may not be active which may cause the tranport to fail. please check if both are active or not.

  • How to install transport request files into the SAP system

    Hi Experts,
I want to install transport request files into my SAP source and target system . I am from BW/BI background so can anyone help me out with the step by step procedure for the above installation.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Shiva

    Hi,
What I understand is, you want to transport request from one server to another.
for example, Development to Qualtiy or Quality to Production.
For this your transport system must be configured. Please search help.sap.com or google for "How to configure Transport System (STMS)".
If you want to copy transport request from one system to another system which is not in your landscape, you need to physically move/copy transport request (cofile and datafile) to the target system in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data
Then import that request using SCC1.
You can alos perform TEST import for result.

    Hi,
Check TMS configuration for your production system to domain controller.
Go to STMS_DOM --> select production system --> then from menu select SAP system --> check --> transport directory, connection test , transport tool.
Also check RFC (something like TMSADM@<SID>.DOMAIN_<SID> )between domain controller and production server vice a versa.

    Thanks a lot Friends
I followed your instructions and so far here is what I have done.
Since this is just a test server, I have given full permissions to /usr directory and all the files and directories below that.
The user account is a copy of J2EE_ADMIN. I have also added   'SAP_ALL', 'S_TMW_IMPORT' Profiles.
I am attaching the log which still indicates that there is permission problem.
Any other suggestion will be highly appreciated.

  • Unable to delete transport request

    Hi Team,
The Standalone sandbox with ECC 6.0
Im deleting the transport request , getting error unable to delete the tranport request
    Cannot open log:
    hostname\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000036.SID.
Kinldy assist me in solving the issue .
    Regards
    Kumar

    Hi,
Are you trying to remove the transport request from the STMS buffer? This only removes the TR from the buffer. It still stays in the system. If you want to delete the transport request altogether then remove from SE01.
    Check if the file
hostname\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000036.SID exists. If so, then make sure it has proper authorizations. It should be accessible by <sid>adm and SAPService<SID> if Windows host. Also the trans directory should be accesible by the two users.

  • Transport Reuest import error in BW Live System

    Hi,
I raised a transport request in BW Development system for the changes i made to the queries that are already avaliable in Live system.
I imported the request with out error in Quality System and the queries in Quality are updated with the changes i made.
When i import the same request to Live system it is failed with error RC 8.
When i checked the queries one query is updated with the changes i made in Dev system and other is not updated
    Error Msg:
Object ELEM 8HV3QPKGUZL61GQH00KRI7369 has not yet been imported successfully
    Diagnosis
The object R3TR ELEM 8HV3QPKGUZL61GQH00KRI7369 has not yet been imported without error.
    System Response
Import post-processing is not performed for this object.
    Procedure
Examine the import log for this transport request for error messages.
Repeat the import after removing the cause of the errors.
Please update me how to proceed
    Thanks

One of the query elements (e.g. Calculated Key Figure, Variable, et. al.) was not captured on your transport and has never been imported into your target environment.
In your development system, go to SE16 and query on table RSZELTDIR to determine which query element the thrown issue is referring to. Use the following parameters for your query:
    ELTUID (ID) = 8HV3QPKGUZL61GQH00KRI7369
    OBJVERS (Varsion) = A
The MAPNAME (Query) column will give you the name of the query element that you'll need to put on a transport and move through to your target environment.

Here is the short dump in the ABAP system.
    Short text of error message:
INTERNAL ERROR UPDATING REQUEST DESC OF RP1K900690
    Long text of error message:
    Technical information about the message:
    Message class....... "PU"
    Number.............. 601
Variable 1.......... "INTERNAL ERROR UPDATING REQUEST DESC OF"
    Variable 2.......... "RP1K900690"
    Variable 3.......... " "
    Variable 4.......... " "
I have checked the RFC destination in the J2EE Admin and that works OK.  This has me kind of stumped.

    Hello Anthes,
Please Check the things in following sequence :
1.Use latest SAPehpi, R3trans and tp versions.
    2. users/group authorization issue and/or ownersip limitations (set 777) .Reboot the server to make sure, that the authorisations are updated and there is no lock on a file in the EHPI dir.Repeat the phase.
Folders where permissions should be 777 are Upgrade directory, Data Directory, Cofile directory and .../EPS/in.
    3. Source file corruption can be ruled out by execution
R3trans -l /usr/sap/<SID>/..../abap/data/R-700BGINPLMWUI.SAP (The data file corresponding to the Package which is giving error). Check if this ends fine.
    Note 2050
    4. Confirm that your transport tool is 'healthy' by testing it in STMS. In SPAM in client 000 use the function Disassemble package and enter the package <Package name>.
    5. Try to update the kernel if it not helps.
    Best Regards

  • Error while exporting .epa file to transport request

    Hi Experts,
I got a problem while exporting the transport package to transport request. In the last step of the export process, I am getting a status message as
"Could not release BIPortalContent.epa to transport request ABCD900005; consult your system administrator."
Can anyone help me in diagnosing this problem? I could not get a solution for this and due to this, the export process is stopped. I have tried with different transport requests and different authorizations, but result is the same.
I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue.
    Thank You.
    Regards,
    Murthy J N.

    Hi Bala,
    Yes, I am using CTS
and I have tried all possibilities but the export to the transport request is not successful.

  • Error while importing a transport request

    Hi,
I installed two SAP ECC6 EHP6 IDES sytems and created a transport route between them.
When I try to import a Transport request I get the following error:
    HALT: inconsistent preview tables E071K_STR (size=344) and E071KS_PREVIEW (size=128)
Please help me find a solution to this problem.

    Hello Occoro,
There are multiple steps you need to do, I am not sure if the following note is applicable to your version of SAP.
1730009 - Import queue does not work
Downloading R3trans and tp is similar to downloading kernel.
Download the versions relevant to your SAP Kernel 7.20, the latest patch should be available at http://service.sap.com/swdc
In the same area where you get SAP Kernels, you should be able to get files such as:
    R3trans_xxx-xxxxxx.SAR
    tp_xxx-xxxx.SAR
Download these files, uncar them to your kernel directory typically /sapmnt/<SID>/exe
Refer to the following note for more details:
19466 - Downloading SAP kernel patches
    Good luck.
