Unable to trap error on NAS drive mount failure
Following script works fine when NAS is on network but unmounted but fails to trap error when NAS not on network (it's on a wireless connection that drops out in heavy snow).
I want to build a loop so that it tries to bring up the drive every few minutes but can't prevent the error: "Connection failed. Server may not exist or is not operational at this time....... OK"
Any ideas why?

Error message without blocking Input fields
Hi,
I want to display an error message in the selection screen. The error is for input date validation. But the once error displays in the status bar, it blocks the input fields in the selection screen. I want to display the error message without blocking any of the input parameter in the selection screen. Where should i write the code?
Thanks in advance.
EzhilHi Ezhilhrh
I think you could have done a trial with different message types before posting this question.
Please try with success message(Type - S) and DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.
And also control the program flow using a flag or by checking the initiality of your internal table.

Developer Error: invalid window block name passed to set_window_position
Hi
I had Registered a Form in Oracle apps
After that i'm trying to open the form, then this message will be displayed
Developer Error: invalid window block name passed to set_window_position
in the PreForm Trigger I had written the code as apps.set_window_position('MY block name(MAIN_BLOCK)','MY window(MAIN_WINDOW)')
i had wriiten like that
but
After click on that Ok Button of the error message my form is Open
and My form is Also not having any Minimize,Maximize and Close Buttons
Please Tel me How should i resolve that Error and also how can i Get that buttons for the FormI agree with Francios, you should ask your question in the General EBS Discussion forum.
in the PreForm Trigger I had written the code as apps.set_window_position('MY block name(MAIN_BLOCK)','MY window(MAIN_WINDOW)')You are using a Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) framework procedure to set the window position, not the Forms standard Set_Window_Property built-in.
and My form is Also not having any Minimize,Maximize and Close ButtonsThese could be controlled by the APPS.Set_Window_Position procedure, but I'm not sure. It could simply be that you set (or neglected to set) the default properties of your Form's window the enable these buttons. More than likely, the APPS procedure is setting them. It's been too long since I worked with the EBS to say for certain. You really should ask your question in the General EBS Discussion forum.

Web Service - Invoke Web Service not trapping errors
Greetings All:
I am having an issue trying to trap errors coming out of the Invoke Web Service service.
I have a Fault Route set up for SYSTEM EXCEPTION, and direct it to an ExecuteScript service.
If the process I am developing fails, it appears to leave the web service "open". The next time the process is invoked, it will fail on the Web Service call.
When my process fails, this failure route is never taken.
I do not know why the initial failure does not "clean-up" after itself.
I also do not know why the Web Service call does not follow the failure route.
This is a turnkey 8.2 install on Windows Server 2003 running JBoss.
Any assistance on how to overcome these problems would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Mark
My process dies with the following ending up in the system log:

Trapping Error through PL/SQL
I was wondering if there is a way to trap errors somehow. I am trying a FOR..LOOP and I am looping through one table, through a cursor and inserting into another table. There some records that may not meet the criteria of the table that is being inserted, and I will not be able to tell which record it was or what column of the record it was, but currently when I run this procedure, it craps out because of some condition it did not meet.
I am hoping if I can maybe trap the error, and somehow use a âon error resume nextâ or âon error go to nextâ type of a function. Is this possible in PL/SQL?DECLARE

CMDTUX_CAT:1380: ERROR: Message queue blocking prevented delivery
Today, I changed a Tuxedo application (server) to the product systems(One master and two slaves). Only a small changes in code. But after a period of running, there are many errors in ULOG:
CMDTUX_CAT:1380: ERROR: Message queue blocking prevented delivery, Qaddr = 583902
And then, the server is died. After restart the server, this will happen again later.
I don't know why this happens? Thx.Hi Bill,
This is happening because the BRIDGE process received a message from the network and was unable to place the message on the intended IPC queue. This could be because the server handling that message is backed up, or the system IPC resource settings are too low. Please check the recommended actions in:

context switching - Your second 'select visit_id' query is actually parsed outside plsql, in the 'sql engine'. This sql engine has no knowledge of what v_numbers is, it's expecting an actual table name but it can't find anything called v_numbers in it's metadata. So it bombs out with that error. Google 'context switching plsql' for more info. :o)
- as v_numbers is a collection, you could just loop through the results:
for n in 1..v_numbers.count
loop
dbms_output.put_line(v_numbers(n));
end loop;- as stated above, a 'select' without 'into' won't work in plsql anyway.
- there is a way of getting round the context switch, by creating your Type in sql rather than plsql and 'casting' it to a table. Let us know if you want to know the steps to do it, but try reading up on context switch first.

CHILD form error FRM-30100: Block must have at least one primary key item.
Hi friends,
I have increased the DML array of the child block from 1 to 10, but it throws me error:
FRM-30100: Block must have at least one primary key item.
Block: CEC_ADJUSTMENT_RECON
Form: CEC_ADJ
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
How does a form know that the table does not have primary key? Is it referring to it?
Thanks a lotI dont understand why do you increase the DML array size..
Because it says in the HELP
Specifies the maximum array size for inserting, updating, and deleting records in the database at one time.
A larger size reduces transaction processing time by reducing network traffic to the database, but requires more memory. The optimal size is the number of records a user modifies in one transaction.
The FRM-30100 comes not because of the above property..
If your query data source type is other than TABLE, it is a must to set at least one database field's PRIMARY KEY ITEM PROPERTY in the block to be a YES.
