You can reset the original system of the objects
specify the package to which you want to assign the objects if the relocation involved a package change
specify the transport layer to which you want to assign the objects if the relocation involved a complete package
You can make the changes, for that use T.code SE03 ->Cancel relocation transport.

Field Exits problem in Quality system after trasports

Dear Freinds,
We did Field Exit changes in Developement system and the changes are working perfect when we tested.
Where as we transport the changes to QA(Quality system) the filed exit is not working. We checked the code, and the code was moved to QA. We set the flag for field by sitting Basis guys (field status as YES). Even though field exit changes are not working in QA.
Could you please suggest is there any other settings we have to make sure to work this feild exit in QA...? And in case any manuval settings in QA the same we need to do in prodcution manuvally..

the profile parameter should be set on ALL application servers & system should be restarted. If your exits do not work after that, just try to deactivate/activate your exits directly on QA system. It will certainly help.

Kodo 4.1.2 in Weblogic 10 Problem

I was told by BEA that Kodo/openJPA is included in Weblogic 10. However, now I have Weblogic 10 but I could not located much Kodo classes from Weblogic libraries. I searched all the JARs under BEA_HOME\wlserver_10.0\server\lib.
I also tried to migrate Kodo/JPA application from Weblogic 9.2 to Weblogic 10. My application depends on Kodo JCA deployment in managed environment. The application and Kodo JCA deployed fine into Weblogic 10. But when I test any application, the test failed when I tried to create EntityMaanger from EntityManagerFactory:

EntityManagerFactory:Interesting. I do not know what the status of Kodo JCA testing is in WebLogic 10, but it sounds like something is a bit wonky.
Basically, in a WLS environment, the default remote commit provider is automatically set to the new weblogic.kodo.event.ClusterRemoteCommitProvider, which uses the WLS clustering protocol to communicate cache notifications. The error that you're seeing indicates that cluster services are not available in the execution context. You can probably get around this by explicitly setting the 'kodo.RemoteCommitProvider' option to 'sjvm' (if you're not running in a cluster), or to whatever you had it set to in the past. (I'm guessing that it was unset in the past, as otherwise, the configuration should be picking up that instead of the new default.)
However, personally, I much prefer the new persistence.xml configuration file format, compared to JCA configuration. (You can trivially use the persistence.xml format with Kodo JDO, even though it's a JPA-specified feature.) You might want to look into moving away from JCA and to the persistence.xml style instead.
If you do this, you'll end up putting a META-INF/persistence.xml file in your EAR (and possibly a META-INF/persistence-configuration.xml file, if you want to use the strongly-typed Kodo XML configuration format), and replacing your JNDI lookups with java:comp/env/persistence/<persistence-unit-name>. (I think that's the right location. I might be mistaken, though.)
Also, I can't guarantee that WebLogic 10 really handles JCA configuration all that well; some bits of that exception make it look like maybe some resources are not available in the classloader, which is surprising. So, it's possible that there is some sort of more fundamental JCA problem here (and not just a problem with the new remote commit provider).

I have created one new parameter Group in existing area level and function .Other parameter group already exist for that function. Tried to trasport parameter group using UPC_TRANSPORT_BPS_ALL .
Filled following
PLANNING AREA
PLANNING LVL
PLANNING FUNTION
Trasport is moved successfully without warning or error.
But I did not get the the Planning Group in target system
Can any one help me in this ? Am I missing anything ?

Sometimes this kind of thing happens. In my earlier projects also I have faced this problem. There is nothing to worry about. Even though, the transports are moved successfully, sometimes the objects are not reflected properly. I would suggest, please create that parameter group in the target system itself. There is no harm in that.

Better transport Infoobjects and Update rules with DataTarget(If both are for same data taraget) otherwise, send all infoobjects with one request and update rules with one request.
Check out wether ther is any dependent objects(For update rules), because transport fails if those dependent obects not available in the Test sys.
Regarding the PC, creat one more request and send.
Once you done with this , if you get the objects in inactive mode in Test sys, then check the note number.I had the same problem long back and there was some problem with system(Has to install).

Problem with maintanenec generator

We have a problem where we have regenerated the maintanence generator of a Z table due to addition of fields, the view looks fine in the Dev environment but when transported to Quality the 2 of the 4 keu field dont show in pointers as to where should we look up.

Hello. I don't know if this will help you much but just reading the posts there might be something wrong with the information that is being sent to your SMTP host. You might make sure that the string that you are sending doesn't have extra characters attached to it or that a timeout is not occuring during the transfer of your username/password information. Sometimes the '@' gets translated into something else.
A 550 error usually indicates that the mail server didn't recived a valid user on the system, this came into play I believe when people start abusing SMTP to SPAM a server using everything under the sun...so filters were put in place i.e. If you are not a Qualified Domain Name registered mailserver and someone has a filter in place your message will go kersplat because forwarding is no longer being allowed. Yopu might try a diffrent tactic.
1. you might trim your strings.
2. build strings in a connect method so that its a bit less amateur code.

Well hope that gets you started in the right direction, I would read the ISO standards published for SMTP, you might get a better grip on the error codes that are bound to come up.

Solaris 10 NFS caching problems with custom NFS server

I'm facing a very strange problem with a pure java standalone application providing NFS server v2 service. This same application, targeted for JVM 1.4.2 is running on different environment (see below) without any problem.
On Solaris 10 we try any kind of mount parameters, system services up/down configuration, but cannot solve the problem.
We're in big trouble 'cause the app is a mandatory component for a product to be in production stage in a while.

Anomaly description
The server side of NFS is provided by a java standalone application enabled only for NFS v2 and tested on different environments like: MS Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Linux RedHat 10 32bit, Linux Debian 2.6.x 64bit, SunOS 5.9. The java application is distributed with a test program (java standalone application) to validate main installation and configuration.
The test program simply reads a file from the NFS file-system exported by our main application (called VDD) and writes the same file with a different name on the VDD exported file-system. At end of test, the written file have different contents from the read one. Indeep investigation shows following behaviuor:
_ The read phase behaves correctly on both server (VDD) and client (test app) sides, trasporting the file with correct contents.
_ The write phase produces a zero filled file for 90% of resulting VDD file-system file but ending correctly with the same sequence of bytes as the original read file.
_ Detailed write phase behaviour:
1_ Test app wites first 512 bytes => VDD receive NFS command with offset 0, count 512 and correct bytes contents;
2_ Test app writes next 512 bytes => VDD receive NFS command with offset 0, count 1024 and WRONG bytes contents: the first 512 bytes are zero filled (previous write) and last 512 bytes with correct bytes contents (current write).
3_ Test app writes next 512 bytes => VDD receive NFS command with offset 0, count 1536 and WRONG bytes contents: the first 1024 bytes are zero filled (previous writes) and last 512 bytes with correct bytes contents (current write).
4_ and so on...
Further tests
We tested our VDD application on the same Solaris 10 system but with our test application on another (Linux) machine, contacting VDD via Linux NFS client, and we don�t see the wrong behaviour: our test program performed ok and written file has same contents as read one.
Has anyone faced a similar problem?
We are Sun ISV partner: do you think we have enough info to open a bug request to SDN?

I finally got it working. I think my problem was that I was coping and pasting the /etc/pam.conf from Gary's guide into the pam.conf file.
There was unseen carriage returns mucking things up. So following a combination of the two docs worked. Starting with:

Problem with TFRM table active indicator in pricing routine RV80HGEN

Hi experts,
I have created few custom routines in VOFM tcode, and trasported to Q system.
In DEV in program RV61ANNN and in VOFM tcode, i can see the new includes and new routines.
But when i check in Q system in VOFM tcode the new routines are not available, nor in RV61ANNN program(new includes).
I have run the report RV80HGEN . But its not working.
I checked the table TFRM and the active field is blank for the group number and routine number.
But in DEV TFRM table has an X value in active field for that routine.
I dont know how to do it.
I can retransport the request again, but i dont know what all the objects needs to be created a new request. its risky.
Plz help me out on this.
I have checked OSS notes, even it says the same.nothing else.

Even though report RV80HGEN was executed, the VOFM object is not registered in the object carrier. Why?
(02) Answer:
During the setup of the object carriers via RV80HGEN the system includes only VOFM objects which have set the 'active indicator' (refer to section 2.3.2). If the active indicator for the corresponding object is not set, the RV80HGEN does not process the VOFM object. Solution: Set the active indicator for the respective object and start the RV80HGEN again.
So I might suggest deactivating the object in development, transporting, then reactivating the object in development, and transporting again.

SLD Business System Mapping Problem

Hi Experts,
i am facing a problem in Quality Environment, we have imported the all ir and id objects in to QA ,
my problem is the business system showing on integration directory ECCSystem (QA1CLNT400) but actual Business System want to show on integration directory is ECCSystem(QA0CLNT400) , some where the SLD Mapping we got a problem. Please help me out how to fix this issue. ,
1. How to Map Exact Business System in SLD. ?
2. To refelect the SLD Changes in ID we need restart ?

Problem in picking up the data from queries in QA and PRD

Dear Experts
We have upgraded our Development server from 3.5 to 7.I have used Role Menu web template.As this template is default for all users,When i execute these reports in DEV,it gives this URL and gives the data from Dev.

My problem is after i transport these roles(with attached list of reports in Menu) to QA or PRD and when user executes these reports,That Picks up the query from Dev.I cant edit roles in QA and PRD to change the host name and port of QA and PRD respectively.IS there any way that when i trasport these roles then it should automatically pick up the host name and port of QA and PRD and execute the reports from respective serevrs.
I understand that this problem is coz of Java enviornment.If its ABAP enviornment then it will pick up the value defined in profile paramets in QA and PRD.This works coz there is http://<bsp...> extension in ABAP case.
Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Well as per your suggestion i will check OSS note.Yes, as you said i have hardcoded in Dev System i.e (http://ciBDM.ncsbe.eu.jnj.com:51200).But i see that if i use this place holders(<bsp_protcl>://<bsp_server>/sap/bw/BEx?cmd=ldoc&template_id=<...>) will work for ABAP enviornment.This place holder will read the profile paramater and change accordingly according to destination system.Do you say this place holder will work for Java enviornment also?.
If not for Java do we have any other place holder?.
Please let me know as am still workingon this issue.

Problem in SICF

Hi,
I want to have automatic logon into a bsp page (application)
ICF path: /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/
Everthing works fine in SAP DEV and when I transport it to SAP TEST there seems to be a problem because none of the fields in "Anonymous Logon Data" tab is filled out ??
Client, User, Password is not there....
Why do it have problem trasporting these fields ??

Importing problem in script

Hi,
I am facing one problem while transfering one script from one client to other. I have already one file in my desktop. Now I wanted to import that file to other client. I am using RSTXR3TR program to import the file from my desktop to 300. But while executing the program I'm getting message "ERROR: Invalid start marker: SFORM instead of TCOMM."
any suggestion???

For Transporting forms between different clients use RSTXR3TR .Use EXPORT to Download and IMPORT to Upload, and give the lower transport request number while uploading or downloading.
Note: you can trasport only between two development clients or QA clients....
also try this RSTXSCRP

Transporting problem to quality

Hi friends,
i'm receiving a problem while importing the requests to quality. imorting is ending with error : 8 i.e object has not be over written.
but the problem is i am receving errors when i'm transporting newly developed objects. how to come over it. do i have to copy and create new one.

the newly developed objects may he link with the previous developement..
like ztable ,zstructure,etc..
