Tree2 parent node  expand at client side

I have been trying to add the option to parent nodes so that the user can open each tree branch either by clicking on the plus or by clicking on the name of the node .
the node should open both by clicking the plus and by clicking the folder name. So far in order to open a node the only way is clicking on the plus.
my tree (myFaces tree2)is in request scope and can be used client side (JavaScript).
Is this possible? Does anybody have some sample code where this works?
thanks .

you can use JDBC thin URL in SQL developer.
Choose NEW/DATABASE CONNECTION, then put the connection type "Advanced" and then place the jdbc url as :
jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=RWCORA-cluster-scan)(PORT=1521))(LOAD_BALANCE=yes)(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=racdb)(FAILOVER_MODE=(TYPE=SELECT)(METHOD=BASIC)(RETRIES=180)(DELAY=5))))

  • ADF Client-side Tree

    Hi there,
    i want my tree component to be expanded in client-side. I don't want it to go to server by generating DisclosureEvent and come back after i click the expand icon. Can somebody help me to find some documentation on it?
    Thanks...

    I assume you're using ADF faces? If so next time please start the subject line with 'ADF Faces'.
    There is no support for this yet. We are working on rich DHTML client-side renderers, but they won't be available for some time.

  • Displaying leaf nodes at the bottom of a tree that has parent nodes

    I have a problem in that - leaf nodes added to the tree at the bottom appear with big spaces (vertically) between them. It looks as if the nodes are somehow expanded by default!
    Is this a known issue with leaf nodes that are added in below parent nodes?
    I notice in the normal hierarchy the leaf nodes are displayed fine. Also if I return false on isleaf() it displays the last 3 nodes as expandable icons but they're still lage gaps between them.
    this is an example of what i'm getting

    You got my interest with your topic subject as I'm working on a library which simplifies the development with Swing trees. However everyone here except you knows nothing about your "anormal hierarchy" which creates you problem.

  • Expanding one structure node expands all nodes

    I am running SAP 70103 in our test environment. I have a problem running an existing query (JAVA) that contains a keyfigure structure with multiple parent/child elements. The parent nodes are collapsed. When I execute the query through JAVA if you expand any of the parent nodes all the parent nodes expand rather than only the parent node you clicked on. Running the same query in BEx Excel (ABAP) the expand works fine. Is anyone aware of a Note for this issue? Thanks.

    Thanks for the response. The note doesn't cover my issue exactly but the related notes will help me investigate further. Thanks again.

  • How to use mathscript node in server side with the parameter from the client side

    I tried to develop a server/client system with some algorithms written in matlab. So I included a mathscript node on the server side. The client will send the parameter to the server. According to these parameters, the sever will call the matlab functions to do some computings and then send the results back to the client. The server has to wait for all parameters received before the computings. How do I know this since I only connect the parameter variables to the inputs of mathscript node on the server. The sever cannot know whethere these parameters are the new ones or old ones since the client may send parameters multiple times?

    It seems to me you have two perfectly good options to start with. You could send all possible parameters in a single packet from the client to the server. This could be in the form of a cluster or an array of values. If by server/client you mean you are sending data over the network, then you could flatten this data to string before sending and unflatten it on the other side. Since all parameters come in one packet, you know all the data is valid every time you send data.
    The other option is to send the parameters individually, but include some extra information such as a timestamp or iteration count. The server keeps reading and storing parameter values until a packet arrives with the next timestamp. Alternatively, you could include some information such as an end-of-parameter-list boolean that is sent with every parameter. It would be false until the last parameter packet.
    Give it a thought. There are lots of solutions.

  • Parent node showing in schema when child nodes not present

    I had several folks answer my questions on mapping from a flat file to an EDI 835 schema and I am down to just a couple of issues before I finish up. I have a conditional mapping issue that I have to solve before I can map the rest of the document. I am
    mapping three fields in a single non-repeating line in the flat file to a repeating segment in the 835. Basically I need to create a separate AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation segment for each field in the flat file line. As you can see in the picture
    below I want to create a AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation segment for CDISCOUNT, CINELIGIBLE and CALLOWED.
    You can see I have quite a bit of conditional logic attached to the three fields, but I have all three connected via a loop to the AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation parent. I cannot attach the loop to the parent of the three fields because it only appears
    once in the file. And if I leave the loop out the AMT segments get stacked funny, like this:
    <AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    AMT1
    AMT1
    AMT2
    AMT2
    </AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    You can see how they should be stacked in the next pic.
    In some cases however, one of those fields may be blank so I will not need to create a AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation segment for it. I was able to use some conditional mapping ideas you guys gave me using the Not-Equal and Value Mapping functoids, and
    that works great to keep blank child nodes from being created. However, Since I have a loop attached to the AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation parent node it still creates an empty parent node even when the child nodes are not created. See the empty parent
    node in the pic below.
    Since looping functoids can only be attached to links I don't know how to make the parent node conditional.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Boatseller, thanks for the tip. I did end up going the XSLT direction. It's a bit of a hack, but I'm using the following XSLT to eliminate empty nodes :
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
        <xsl:template match="@*|node()">
            <xsl:if test=". != ''">
                <xsl:copy>
                    <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
                </xsl:copy>
            </xsl:if>
        </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    I created a new map with the 835 schema on each side. I then created an XSLT file and pointed to it in the Custom XSLT Path property. It seems to work well. I call this map right after my FlatFile_To_835 map.
    I was hoping to use the scripting functoid with inline XSLT in the map so that I didn't have to worry about deploying the XSLT file(just another thing to keep up with in the future), but when I compile it I get the following error:
    The "Scripting" functoid has 1 input parameter(s), but 2 parameter(s) are expected.
    I'm wondering if I'm connecting the schemas incorrectly in the map:
    In any case, I'm past the empty nodes issue for now, which was a big roadblock. Now I have to deal with the CAS segments which are, as you said, a real pain.
    Thanks for all of your input.

  • FTREE_NODE: Find parent node which has no child nodes

    Hi guys
    Does anybody know how to find a parent node which has no child node(s)?
    I couldn't find any build-in at the online help. Is there a trick to got this?
    Thanks in advance
    Remo

    Hi Remo,
    I misspoke, in my earlier post. The FTREE built-in has defined constants for the possible values that FTREE.NODE_STATE can have -- FTREE.COLLAPSED, FTREE.EXPANDED and FTREE.LEAF_NODE.
    If you wish, rather than testing for a value of '0', you can instead test for a value of FTREE.LEAF_NODE. Both are functionally identical, but using the constants can improve the readability of your code, eliminating the need for additional comments.

  • Display Parent node in a separate column in BEx

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement to display parent node of a node in a separate column in BEx.
    For e.g. If 'a' and 'b' belong to the parent node 'c,' I need to display 'c' in a separate column whenever 'a' or 'b' occur in the report.
    Any ideas how I can accomplish this? I already have a hierarchy enabled in the report. The client
    still wants to display the parent node in a separate column
    Thanks and points will be assigned.

    Hi Claus,
    You can use the following as table cell editor:
    1. Image -- just displays plain image
    2. Caption -- dislays image along with text or image only (or text only).
    3. LinkToAction -- same as caption, however provides you a way to have something like "onClick" action.

  • Using scan name in tns file not working at client side...

    Hi All,
    I have installed 2 node RAC -11gR2 on ORACLE VM Server 2.2.1.
    now, I want to give tnsentry to dev team to use this RACDB.
    I am using scan name in tnsnames.ora file. Also I have make scan name entry in /etc/hosts not in the DNS.
    I have below entry in RACDB server...
    RACDB =

    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = racdb)
    == now in dev user side, If I give the same above tns entry and make entry of this scan name and two VIPs in /etc/hosts file of dev user then SQL*Plus is successfully connected but not JDBC like SQL*Developer.
    I have make below entry in dev user's /etc/hosts file:
    10.40.0.51     RWCORARAC1-vip
    10.40.0.52 RWCORARAC2-vip
    10.40.0.50     RWCORA-cluster-scan

  • Htmlb:tree differentiate between nodeclick and tree node expander click

    Hi,
    how can i differentiate between nodeclick and tree node expander (to get to its children) click in my event processing in htmlb:tree element.
    <u><b>What i am trying to achieve?</b></u>
    Onload just load root node and its immediate children.
    On node expand get the children of the current node and modify htmlb:tree table2 with additional node inofs.
    on node click  call some client function.
    But my issue is that i am not able to differentiate between node expander click and node click in my event handling. Any help on this is appreciated.
    (I am not using MVC)

    After reading your weblog I think I understand better. I did some testing with my example.  I am using the toggle = "true", so that the page returns to the server each time an expander is selected.
    <htmlb:tree id          = "myTree1"
                  height      = "75%"
                  toggle      = "true"
                  title       = "<b><otr>EQI Reporting Tree</otr></b>"
                  width       = "90%"
                  onTreeClick = "myTreeClick"
                  table       = "<%= application->selection_model->itview                             %>" >
      </htmlb:tree>
    However I have not added any coding in my event handler to respond to the expander event.  I only respond to myTreeClick (which loads some data for the given selection).  The BSP tree element itself must be doing the hard work for me.
      if event_id cs 'tr_myTree1'.
        data: tree_event type ref to cl_htmlb_event_tree.
        tree_event ?= htmlb_event.
        if tree_event->server_event = 'myTreeClick'.
          clear appl->message1.
          appl->selection_model->get_chart_data( appl = appl
                                                 node = tree_event->node ).
        endif.
      endif.
    I pass my entire tree defintion to the element.  It appears that it only sends visible nodes to be rendered. When the expander is selected, I don't have to do anything, the tree re-renders with only the newly visible rows.
    I tested and turned off the toggle (toggle = "false") and my page took forever to load because it was sending all the nodes to the frontend on the first load.

  • Client side configuration

    Hi Everybody,
    Thanks to all of the oracle experts.
    We installed oracle 10.2 RAc database on the server side using 2 nodes on solaris 10.
    Raw devices are used for clusterware installation.
    ASM is configured for database shared files.
    Now i want to configure on the client side as they should be able to connect to this database.
    would anybody kindly provide me how to do this.
    i am in very need of it.
    thanks and regards
    suresh

    You need to install Oracle Software Client and configure tnsnames.ora with something like
    ORCLTEST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = oraclerac1vip)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = oraclerac2vip)(PORT = 1521))
    (LOAD_BALANCE = yes)
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = orcl)
    (FAILOVER_MODE =
    (TYPE = SELECT)
    (METHOD = BASIC)
    (RETRIES = 180)
    (DELAY = 5)
    You must view oraclerac1vip and oraclerac2vip using DNS or you add this host to host table.
    Regards.

  • Parent node showing icons or symbols like - though it does not have leaves

    Hi,
    I created an adf tree using a view link between region -- countries-- location .. when i see the tree it appears as if all the parent nodes has child nodes as all the nodes indicate an icon or symbol in it... when i expand the nodes i find it does not have any child nodes... how to overcome this... I want symbols or icons only for those nodes that has leaf nodes .So that i need not expand all the nodes . How can it be achieved . Can someone tell me.... I have seen samples but still encounter same problem ...

    Hi,
    for performance reasons, ADF does not query all data from the database and instead uses deferred data fetches when the node is expanded. Because of this optimizations, all tree ends show as nodes. There is a bug I filed to make the performance optimization optional after which you get what you want (by the cost of slower tree rendering if large data sets are involved)

  • Parent node mapping

    Hi
    During message mapping normally we do element to element mapping. But could you please tell me when we will go for root node to root node mapping ??
    Is it like that when the target root node's cardinality is greater than 1 we will go for root node mapping. Are there any other situations where we will go for root node mapping ?
    thanks
    kumar

    Hi Kumar
            We can have the root node mapping in the following cases:
    1. If we have a field on the target side that needs to occur as per the business requirement but the root parent node is optional i.e. with occurance 0...n, then we can map the target root node to an empty constant so as to make it occur.
    2. If we have a source field that can occur many number of times at runtime and we have the corresponding target field that occurs only once at runtime but it's parent node can occur same number of times as of the source field then in that case we map the target parent node to the source field with the following condition as if the source field exist create the target parent node.
             I think that it helps you with some scenarios.
