Trigger Access Policy not Running

Can someone suggest me why Trigger at Access Policy is not running?
I try to make new policy, resource and role. But the trigger still not running?

are you using OIM BP06? if yes, then access policy won't trigger automatically. You have to run the "Evaluate User Policies" to trigger access policy.

Hello guys ,
i am getting the following error wen tryin to open the console The Data access service not running or not yet initialized. on scom 2012 R2 before it was working fine but once i closed the console and open got the error
OS : Windows 2012r2 patched and scom 2012 r2
sql : 2012 r2 enuff database size
tried few things as :
1. change the account to domain admin for system center data acess service still no luck
2. created registry keys for servicepipetimeout to 6000 bt still nit working
3. Refresh sql account used for sccom data aceess service still no luck
4. the service disappears as running after 30 seconds and the console is unable to open
kindly help if some perfect resolution as lot of time has been wasted and need to meet deadlines.

Check that following:
Verify permission of SCOM Account on sysadmin and OM DB.
Check firewall that is disable
Check antivirus that didn't block scom folders or services.
Check SQL services is running
Check Space of database at 5 GB as you configured. It is best practice to set the db size at a reasonable size and not to set to autogrowth.

OIM access policy not evaluating a boolean

I have a test for a boolean in Access Policy
booleanvariable == true
but it does not evaluate
I tried booleanvariable == 1
and this does not work either.
If I have a string field instead of a boolean, then it works
stringvariable == TRUE
this works.
Is there something wrong with booleans in Access Policy?

I'm currently using Boolean with access policies, though maybe a little different.
In the OIM Design Console, I've created a rule (Resource Management -> Rule Designer) named TestRule
Add Element:
- Attribute: booleanvariable
- Operation: ==
- Attribute Value: 1
I have groups that mirror access policies, so let's say that we've also created a group (User Groups->Create via OIM AU Console - Web)
- Under 'Membership Rules' in the dropdown box for group details, assign the rule you just created
- Then under 'Access Policies' add the policy you created under Access Policies -> Manage
Then when a user is in OIM with booleanvariable checked, the Access Policy is applied to that user.

WLS 10.3.0 - Scheduled Custom data retirement policy not running

I am trying to use a custom retirement policy and scheduling it to run every hour. When I run it manually from the console it works, (I can see log message about the policy being run) but the scheduled run never happens.
I have other policy for HarvestedDataArchive scheduled with the same parameters and that is running as exepected.
Here is the excerpt from config.xml file

Not able to get the AD organizations list while creating access policy

Hi All,
Had created IT Resource for AD server, and was able to successfully connect to it. And Now when I try to create a access policy, where I am not able to view any organization from AD.
Can someone please let me know how to resolve this.

Based on which I had checked the credentials I provided, and they are correct. I am able to connect to AD with same credentials when I create new IT Resource.

Diagnostics policy service not running on Windows 7 home premium

I'm unable to connect to internet through wireless connectionsr . it says limited access to wi-fi router. When i try to fix this it says diagnostics policy service not running. Checked services.msc While the type is set up to automatic Unable to start the
service. I had similar problem with my LAN connection. After resetting my LAN connection i was able to connect to internet. Tried this on wifi as well but the issue remains.

Go to your Device Manager and uninstall the network device, including the wireless network card, then restart the computer. Let the system automatically reinstall the driver for you. You can also manually update the network card driver to the latest one.
After that, check if you can connect to the internet.
For the Diagnostics policy service issue. please click Start, input regedit in the search box, press Enter to open your Registry Editor, navigate to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DPS\Parameters.
Right click this key, choose permission, click the user "Trustedinstaller", ensure the permission is set to "Full Control" and "Read". Then click OK to apply the change.
Restart the computer to check if this service is working now.

AD Access Policy Update or Revoke Not Happening

Problem:
I am automating the AD user Provisioning through OIM Access Policy. I am able to provision user in AD, But the provisioned user is not visible in Resources tab. If anything is modified OIM attributes and that are not transferring from OIM to AD User Process Form. If I removed User from the Role, The user was not revoked from the AD.
Configuration:
I have created the following task to automate the user provisioning. They are
1) Rule
Name: ALL AD Users
Rule Criteria : User Login != NULL
2) Role
Name : AD Role
Member Ship Rule : ALL AD Users
3) Access Policy:
Access Policy Information Provided
Access Policy Name:      AD Access Policy
Access Policy Description:      AD Access Policy
With Approval:      No
Retrofit Access Policy:      Yes
Priority:1
Resources to be provisioned by this access policy
Resource Name: AD User
Revoke resource and entitlement(s) if no longer applies: Checked
Process Forms: AD User Details
AD User form details are populating through pre-populate adapter in create and Change <FieldName> populating in update Operation.
Role
Name : AD Role
I couldn't see any error in the AD Connector log file.
Do I need to do anything apart from AD Access Policy to view the resource in Resource TAB, and also Updating the user attributes ( Change Process Tasks are configured), and Revoke.

What do you mean by this statement :
But the provisioned user is not visible in Resources tabDo you mean that when you go to Resource Profile of a user then you can't see AD User is provisioned to that user ?
Check "Auto Save" check box on "AD User" Process Defintion
Add one user into that Role explicitly into that Role/Group
Resources to be provisioned by this access policyI hope you are giving values for AD Server and Organization Name on the process form in this section.
Enable the logs as well whether AD User tasks are getting called or not
And
For sending Modified Attributes to AD, have you create corresponding tasks like Change First Name, Change Last Name etc in AD User Process Defintion and made its entry in Trigger Lookup ?
If yes then it will work only when you'll see AD User in Provisioned/Enables status in User's Resource Profile

Help Required With Access Policy Trigger On Enable User In Oim 11gR2

My scenario is:
We have a created a access policy for the user.
Scenario1:
As soon as the role is added to user, the account is provisioned. -Working
Scenario 2:
As the user is disabled, the account gets revoked-Working
Scenario 3:
As the user is enabled, the new instance of the account should get provisioned.(It was earlier working in 11G r1)
"Evaluate User Policies " is running every ten minutes.Manually also triggered it. but the account doesn't get provisioned after the user is enabled.
Any inputs?

As the user is disabled, the account gets revoked-Working ----> ITS WRONG if you are using OOTB feature of OIM
-> When the user gets disabled, the accounts should get disabled. The result which u are getting above is not OOTB. Have you made any customization to any logic?

[OIM 9.1.0.2] RESOURCE NOT REVOKED BY ACCESS POLICY WHEN USER DISABLED

Hi Experts,
OIM Build Number: 1866.62 ( BP15 )
IHAC that faced an unexpected behavior on User disabling.
Some users were associated to groups that had access policies applied.
When those users were disabled, they didnt lose their associated groups and also the resource and permission associated thru access policy applied to those groups.
I saw that there was a bug reported to that issue. So I performed the action plan and set up the XL.EvaluateMembershipForInactiveUser System Property as TRUE. Now after disabling the users are properly removed from groups.
Customer problem: For those users, almost 1000, I did a recon just to estimule the identity, so the membership rule was applied and the groups were removed, but OIM didn't evaluate the access policies and didn't revoke the resources.
I ran the Evaluate User Policies task, and it seems to be stuck. Should the Evaluate User Policies schedule task work for that scenario? Should the resource after running that task be revoked?
Any help would be very appreciated.

I ran the task, but it seems really stuck. It displays the RUNNING status, but any effect is observed. I have to change task status to INACTIVE in the Design Console.
This task has 2 attributes: Batch Size= 500 and Number of Threads=20.
But I have noticed this task in another environment (w/ BP 18 applied), it has 3 attributes: Batch Size= 500 ; Number of Threads=20 and Time Limit in mins=1.
Is it any enhancement for this task in order to improve its performance, or something like that?
What else I can check?

Access Policy is not getting trigggered after creation of user through GTC

Hi,
I have an access policy for ALL USER role and that provision users to an RO after getting created in oim. I have a trusted source flat file reconciliation GTC for user creation. I am facing issue when user is getting created through GTC, access policy is not getting triggered. But while creating an user through web console the same access policy is working fine and user is getting provisioned with RO.
If anybody have any idea how to resolve this, please help me in this regards.

Hi ,
its good to know that its working. As per my experience it works for once (through reconciliation) but then stops working. Now to confirm try to revoke the user by changing the group member-ship through reconciliation and see if the resource is revoked or not (repeat it for 2 -3 times). Note that don't do it form within IDM web admin console, do it through reconciliation.

SCOM 2012 Issue The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized

My SCOM 2012 console all of sudden stopped working when I changed the size of the SQL database for the SCOM server.
The setup is all on a virtual machine running windows 2012, with SQL 2012 running SCOM 2012 SP1. Everything was working until I made the SQL server database size change.
Now I am getting an error when I try to open the SCOM 2012 console. It just says Failed to connect to server servername.internaldomain.com The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized. Check the event log for more information.

I tried to reinstall the console and some of other mentioned things from the other posts but I think that there is a SQL issue here that I am not seeing. Can someone please help.

The issue got resolved after refresh the SCOM Data base access service account in SQL 2012.
Unable to launch the operations manager 2012 R2 console after extended the C drive of the SQl server ,getting error "The Data
Access service is either not
running or not yet initialized.
Got to your SQL server -->databases-operationsmanager--security-users--locate the daa service account and refresh.issue fixed and am able to luanch.

Hi,
I upload a video file to a new Asset. I then attempt to create a streaming URL by creating an Access Policy and then a Locator, which I use to generate the URL used for streaming.This works great. Until the 6th time you execute
that code against the same Asset. Then you receive this error:
"Server does not support setting more than 5 shared access policy identifiers on a single container."
So, that's fine. I don't need to create a new AccessPolicy everytime, I can reuse the one I've created previously, build a Locator using that same policy. However, even then, I get the error about 5 shared access policies on a single container.
Is this the Lmitation of media service? or am I missing something?

Hi.
When this happens, please press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and see how much RAM and CPU Firefox is using. If they're sky high, then... Well, that kind of issues are, unfortunately, more common and the we'd like. Thankfully, 99% of the cases are very easy to solve. However, you do need to diagnose what your exact problem is. Do this:
#run Firefox in safe-mode to disable all extensions and plugins. If this fixes your issues, be them with RAM or CPU usage, then you know it's a problem with plugins or extensions. Proceed to number 2. If safe-mode doesn't fix the issues, then read bellow, after this list;
#update all extensions and plugins in your Firefox. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
#disable all extensions and plugins in your Firefox (not running safe-mode). Being certain that, as in safe-mode, the problems you're having have gone away, enable one plugin at a time. You should be certain that you WANT that plugin to be enabled, so keep your overall number of plugins as low as possible. When you encounter the problems, you know you've found a problematic plugin, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all plugins (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all.
#enable one extension at a time. Again, be certain that you WANT that extension to be enabled, so keep your overall number of extensions as low as possible. Ok, if disabling all extensions and plugins through safe-mode didn't work to bring Firefox's CPU and RAM usage to good levels, then you have different issue. The most likely scenario is that you have a third party software running on your computer that is messing with Firefox. Do as follows:
#do a virus/malware check on your computer. If this doesn't fix it, proceed;
#disable all software running in the background that you don't want to have running in the background (in windows, this is done by pressing WINDOWS+R in your keyboard, typing "msconfig" (without the commas) and pressing enter. Now, under the "Startup" tab, you can uncheck the software you don't want, and reboot your system for changes to take effect. If you're unsure of what software you want running, ask someone with more experience). If this doesn't fix you issues with Firefox, proceed;
#check your firewall/antivirus/security suite for enabled functions/features that you don't want and/or may be conflicting with Firefox. You'll find that these features are most likely tied to Internet Security features, such as link scanners or URL checkers and the like. If you're not sure they are conflicting with Firefox, simply try to disable to see whether or not that's true. As long as you don't browse the web with your antivirus completely off and your firewall completely turned off, there should be no problems. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
#check your operating system security options, mainly advanced options that are not configured by default. While it's very unlikely that this may be the cause of the problem (after all, it's the last item on the list), it's remotely possible. If this doesn't do it, I'm out of ideas. Except make sure you've followed my instructions correctly.

Not run script in policy

hi i have a bach file run .bat
this is in network \\dc\data
but wen run this file of this way , not run
i must map this way and run it to correct
now i create setup.bat and it whole

now i create a policy and in script shutdown place the file setup.bat
but when shutdown pc,the shut down is very time and script not run
of corce a later 6 moon befor update windows , this policy work ok

Please check if the System Center Data Access Service is running.
If it is SCOM 2012, please check if this is the issue:
