Trigger an error from EXIT_SAPLMLSR_001

I've been tasked with detecting whether or not the reference number is being repeated for a given vendor in any previous Entry Sheet during sheet creation in ML81N.   If the reference number duplication is discovered the SAVE is supposed to be stopped so the user can potentially correct their data entry error or abort the save due to duplicate invoicing.
I'm new-ish to ABAP so I've been digging and discovered that user exit EXIT_SAPLMLSR_001 seems to best fit my needs; I get the EKKO and ESSR records for the transaction which allow me to implement my logic, and I can issue a message that the condition has been discovered.
My problem is stopping the SAVE.   I've traced a little beyond the user exit but things get confusing so it's time to ask for help.
Is there convenient way to interrupt the action without quitting ML81N entirely?   Should I be using another method, such as a different user exit or BAdI (but I don't know anything about BAdIs yet), to do this?

Here's the logic I injected into EXIT_SAPLMLSR_001. I am hoping there's a simple change I can add to the middle to alert the tcode to stop saving. I'm also aware the loop iterates a few extra times given more than one duplicate found, but baby steps!

Just in case anyone else stumbles upon this thread, the solution was for me to learn more ABAP!
I spent some time learning about Enhancement Points and how to use them, and then solved my problem by creating three implicit EPs. One to create a new "global" flag in the TOP include, another to intercept and detect my desired condition at a convenient place where all the required fields were available and toss the message and "set" the global flag, and the final one in the SAVE function to fail out of it if the flag was set.
I'm sure there is a more graceful way to implement this, and I'll be cringing if I ever have to look back at it, but this got it done for now.

Error in Action when CRM Order is updated as Error from R/3 update

Currently we are in CRM 6.0 SP04 and R/3 4.7 SP14
Process:
1) B2B user places order through ISA
2) Order gets replicated R/3 from CRM through middleware (Scenario A setting)
3) If there are any changes in order on either side, changes gets replicated.
Requirement:
We have a requirement from business to trigger workflow in CRM if order is in error. Following are the possible scenarios
1) Error while saving order in CRM
2) No errors in CRM. However, Order will get error in R/3 because of inconsistent configuration or master data between CRM and R/3. The BDOC will be green while replicating to R/3 and acknowledgement to CRM.
3) BDOC status is in error
Solution approach:
We created an action to trigger event when order status set to "Contains error". The condition for Action trigger are Order have error free flag NE X(BUS 2000115 ) OR Status = I1030 OR status = I1056.
Issues:
1) Scenario : Order is successfully create in CRM without any error. Order gets replicated to R/3 u2013 BDOC is green. However, the order gets error status in R/3 because of inconsistent configuration or master data. The acknowledgement BDOC updates the error status in CRM. However, Action does not get trigger when the order is updated as Error from R/3.
Pls advise possible solution and also suggest any other way to achieve the required functionality to generate workflow for CRM order updated as Error from R/3.

Hi Anil,
Try this, implement ORDER_SAVE BAdI. This BAdI is triggered every time an order is saved, you could put in your logic to see if the order has errors, if yes trigger your workflow.
I haven't tested but this should work for your case when the crm order is set to error status after the replication to R/3(the BDOC scenario).
This may not be the most efficient method of doing, but this would definitely work.
Make sure you use proper checks at the beginning of your order_save BAdI implementation as this badi would get executed on save of every 1-order object.

How to Trigger a Job from se38 Report

I need to trigger a job from an se38 report program.
Currently the code I'm using is:

But the SY_SUBRC return I get is 8 which stands for 'Error In job Scheduling'
Is the method used correct?
Or am i going wrong in scheduling the job? As far as Job scheduling goes, I used the Date/Time schedule and scheduled it at a time 20 minutes later.

Is it possible to trigger an error so that the running stored procedure is stopped?

Hello all,
I want to run an existing stored procedure and then I want to manually trigger an error/abort/interruption so see what happens and do some testing with that.
Is it possible to manually trigger an error/abort/interruption on a running stored procedure so that it is stopped?
If yes, how can I do that?
I hope someone has an idea. For me it sounds not really difficult, but I just do not get the idea how to do it.

I dont want to modify the existing procedure. I just want to run it and than stop it, but not with the button to stop it, but "kill" it somehow with an error (with not destroying the database).
Nope you cant simulate an intermediate failure inside procedure code from outside. For that you have to modify the actual sp code itself
Another way is by doing data manipulation in such a way which causes a error in procedure but for that you need to revisit the logic to ensure you do changes in such way as to cause an error

Report Error from Hyperion 9.3 Dashboard

I have created a button to process the query using hyperion 9.3 dashboard and encounter this error below.
This error only occur when i'm using in client but in the website itself no error but result of the report is incorrect.
Server Error [1003]: Failed to acquire access to database.
Oracle Error - 1: ORA-1007 : invalid username/password; logon denied
May I know what missing sript or additional script that may trigger this error? How to I ensure in future this error will not pop up again?

Start -> All Programs -> Hyperion -> Reporting & Analysis -> Utilities and Administration -> Service Configurator
Please note that- Restart of BI+ services is mandatory after DAS configuration to process the queries from IR web client !!!

What you're missing is that diagnostics software doesn't cover everything in any laptop made by anyone.
Intermittent problems, and genuine hardware induced faults typically, or course, are hard to pinpoint.
jet fighter planes contain 1000s of sensors and multimillion dollar live diagnostics and still can't "see" more than 60% of hardware potential faults.
Lucky you, the Air however contains extremely few parts, there isnt much to diagnose on one.
The Air contains 90% fewer parts than a typical laptop from a mere 7 years ago.

You cannot load Java applets into the Flash movie display list. I was going to test if Java applets run in a HTML loaded into a StageWebView (AIR only), but never got around to it Another approach is to let Flash call javascript to write the applet embed code in the HTML.

Using HttpsURLConnection Error - from Web Dynpro

I have this case where I need to connect to a https site using SSL api.
I'd created a java class to connect to the https site using the normal "javax.net.ssl" package provided by J2SE api. And this work successfully.
However, there will be a problem if i trigger an action from the view to call for this java class, there will be an error.
One thing which i found weird is :
1.) If i use the normal java class to connect to the https site, it uses this connection protocol :
sun.net.www.protocol.https.DelegateHttpsURLConnection:https://server/test/test1.jsp (Works successfully)
But
If I call this java class from a view, it uses this connection protocol :
iaik.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection:https://server:443/test/test1.jsp (Unable to work)
How am i to make the web dynpro to use this "javax.net.ssl" api? I tried removing two of these library file :
iaik_jsse.jar
iaik_ssl.jar
but the error still occurs.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Error from reports from ZAM(Graph or PDF) - File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

I just noticed today that any Graph or PDF report I try to view I get the
following error - Error from reports from ZAM - File does not begin with
'%PDF-'. I tried to just save the file and then open it, but get the same
error. I can open other pdf files I have downloaded from other sites ok.
Anyone have any idea? I haven't done anything to that server that I am
aware of in quite a while.

Hey, I've had this issue for a while, and my work around for it was just not using iChat. However, I want to use iChat now so I need a proper resolution. Now I have mobile me with my [email protected] address, and I have my iChat account with [email protected] (created before my MM subscription).
When I log into iChat for the first time, within minutes I get an error from MobileMe saying "You've entered an incorrect password for MobileMe, please try again"... I didn't do anything though.
If I go to MobileMe in System Preferences, it says: "Your password has changed. Enter your new password.
If you have not changed (or reset) your password contact MobileMe support."
If I enter my password in and get that fixed, the next time I start up iChat it says: "Your login ID or password is incorrect"... soo I'm confused.
The password for my @me and @mac addresses are different, is it possible they are sharing the same keychain? I do have the check box ticked to remember the password.

I would not repair at this time.
In the list of password you should find the one for iChat Or possibly several for iChat if you have different Account/Screen Names list by their Account names.
Double click on the one that is causing you issue.
In the new window that pops up put a tick in the Password Box. You will probably have to confirm with your Admin Password to Allow Once.
Does this show the right password ?
If not change the Password.
If it does then click the Access Tab and see if iChat is Allowed (Or Allow All is being used)
Either change to Allow All or add iChat to the List.

Can any one please tell me How to Trigger an IDOC from SAP R/3 to two XI systems at a time.
My current production R/3 system sends a DELVRY03 IDOC to Production XI system ( Name : XIP) .
I would like to route the same IDOC from production R/3 system to my Quality XI System ( Name XIQ) .
Problem is production R/3 system triggers an IDOC once. We need to write a logic to route the same to two different systems

Do you have connectivity between your production & XIQ?
What does "connectivity" mean?
1. RFC destination is maintained.
2. Port defined for the RFC destination.
If no, create these. (Search in SDN for details).
If yes, proceed:
1. Define the logical system for XIQ.(BD54)
2. Define the same as your partner profile. (WE20). Add the message type SYNCH with the port for XIQ.(This is imp)
3. Create a distribution model view with sender as "your production" & receiver as XIQ.
3.1. Add the messages which you want to distribute.
3.2 Generate Partner profiles.
No coding is reqd. for this.

first run "ipconfig /flushdns" and then "ipconfig /registerdns" finally restart dns service and check the situation,also you can check dns logs computer management ->Event viewer->Custom Views->Server roles->DNS.

Smartform Printing : Error in spool C call: Error from TemSe

I am stating my problem as follows : I have to print a bar-code sticker of size 10 X 7 cms. I have worked on bar-codes before this also. This time the output from a smartform is to be given to a ZEBRA TLP 2844 printer. I initially encountered problems in printing. The data does not fit on to the page.
After a lot of searching I found that ZEBRA was a partner of SAP and that a special device type needs to be created for output from a ZEBRA printer. I did this two times. Each time my steps were as described under.
To create the device type I did the following :
1. I finally found the driver from the ZEBRA website from http://www.zebra.com/id/products/global/en/utilities/sap_device_types.UtilityFile.File.tmp/Zebra_SAP_Device_Types.zip From this I uploaded the driver for 203 DPI zebra printer with IBM code 850 font file name "YZB200.PRI" into the transaction SA38.
2. Then I created a new device ZEB10 in SPAD after assigning my format to the device.
Thereafter, I tried to print my sticker. During this procedure, on selection of the new device type, the fonts automatically changed to ARIAL in the print preview. When I give the print command (Spool request : Print immed = X, Delete after output = X & New spool request = X) it gives an error message Error in spool C call: Error from TemSe.
Since the output had not been issued, I opened the spool request to view its TemSe characteristics. Here I found

I hope this data helps you help me. Please ask for more data if you wish.
