Triggering a workflow from a adobe interactive form...

Hi,
I am new to SAP.
I hv to ceate a adobe form for creating CREDIT MEMO REQUEST...
on filling the data and submitting, it should trigger a workflow, in which, the approver may approve or reject..
if it is approved it should be updated in the database table
and if rejected it should go to the another person.
I know to create adobe forms.. On clicking the SUBMIT button in the form the workflow should be triggerd..
is there any standard wokflow for my requirement or should i create a new WF.
What is the code for triggering a workflow.... how to approach my requirement... can any one help on this please...

I would like to explain the scenario:
1.The form would reside in the SAP Enterprise portal
2.When the form is completed and the "submit" button is clicked, I expect a workflow in SAP SRM to be triggered.
3.The workflow is a developed three-step approval workflow. It was developed using the Hierarchical Approval workflow wizard.
Questions:
1. How can the workflow be triggered when the submit button is clicked?
2. How can the data from the Form be integrated into the workflow and vice versa?

Integrating workflow within an ADOBE Interactive form

Hi experts,
We have a Web-dynpro ABAP application which uses an Interactive Adobe form to enter personal and org data for HR. The form is now being used by HR personnel for new-hire- employee's personal, organizational, and payroll information. Eventually, the same form is filled out by three different person and one supervisor who validates and approve the new-hire. In this application, we want to integrate workflow so that the job can be passed to the subsequent personnel. One thing we need to make sure that the adobe document passed to next person remain online with the sap back-end because there are a number of back and forth data transfer functionality implemented in the form.
In the above context is that feasible to integrate workflow with adobe form? If its possible, what steps are required to implement it? If not feasible, are there any alternate in achieving the above mentioned objective?

Yes you can integrate your web dynpro applicaiton with business workflows.
The only thing you have to take care is the data. where you want to save the form data either it can be the workflow container or you can store in a custom table.
If you are using HR Application tables then you can directly read the data from those tables and populate on the form.

Control not going from Adobe Interactive form to ABAP WD Event handler

Hi
I am facing an issue with adobe interactive forms and WD ABAP integration.
The buttons in adobe interactive form when clicked is going round and round and the control is not going to the ABAP code(WD ABAP event handler code whatsoever). I have also set the debugger but the control is not moving to the ABAP code from the adobe interactive form.
Can anyone help me what can be the issue here and how can I resolve the same?

Hi Babi,
In the adobe form layout library Use the Submit(which internally means submit to SAP) button from the Webdynpro Native category.
Only this button action can connect adobe to web dynpro.
Whenever we click on this particular button the event will be trigger in the ONsubmit event of interactive form UI element in the webdynpro.There we can write our abap code.Hope this will help you.

Calling webservice in Adobe interactive form

Hi,
I have a webservice created for a function module which in turn calls the BAPI_PR_CREATE (purchase requisition creation) BAPI. I am trying to call this webservice from an Adobe interactive form I've created. Basically the user will enter all necessary data inside the form and when he presses a button the webservice should be called and the purchase requisition should be created.
My question is what type of "Control type" should I use for the button "Regular", "Execute" or "Submit" and how should the javascript code look like?
I have tried a lot of solutions that I've found on the internet but nothing worked.
The ADS service is not yet installed, I know that this is a big issue but could this affect the functionality or could this be the cause why nothing seem to work?

Unfortunatelly I was waiting for a long time from the BASIS team to install the ADS. Yesterday they've told me it's finally done.
Consequently I started to retest the solutions I've found but with no result so far.
I've tried to make the button an "Execute" control type and added the Connection inside the Execute tab.
I've also tried with the following javascript inside the xml file (inside the click event of the button) and all of the button control types:

I have a problem when reading attachments from online adobe interactive form in Webdynpro ABAP.
I have tried two options:
Option1:
Get FP reference.
l_fp = cl_fp=>get_reference( ).
try.
Create PDF Object.
l_pdfobj = l_fp->create_pdf_object( connection = 'ADS' ).
Set document.
l_pdfobj->set_document( pdfdata = lv_pdf ).
Set task to get attachments.

Execute, call ADS.

Get result.
l_attachments = l_pdfobj->get_attachments( ).

option 2: in wdomodify method

Both options are not getting the attachments.
Our SAP Netweaver version is 7 and ehp 4, ADS configured.
If i save the pdf with attachments locally and then use the UI upload and read the attachments it works. But not when the interactive form is online and when i add attachments to it and click submit(where submit code is the option 1 code), it is not finding any attachments. I wonder whether pdfsource context stores the attachments or not.
When i check the note, SAP say that attachments are supported from ehp2.
What is that i am missing? Any direction would be good.
In worst case i will do webdynpro screens for attachments maintenance, wanted to check with all experts before taking this option.

That is correct. Attachments are supported as of NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 2.

Not possible. NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 4 doesn't even exist yet. In fact 7.0 Enhancement Package 2 won't start ramp-up until December 20th. I think you are confusing your ERP Enhancement Package level with your NetWeaver Enhancement Package level. I'm guessing that it is much more likely that you are on ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 4. This level of ERP actually runs on NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1.

Smartform to Adobe interactive form and triggering from print program

My requirement to migrate puchase order smartformto Adobe interactive form.
I have migrated my purchase order smartform to Adobe interactive form,
activated form and interface.
Question: How do i trigger or my adobe interactive form purchase order in R/3.
I want to trigger the form from me22n -> print preview..
I have configured in NACE (Output type customization) with same samrtform print program with adobe form and Type as PDF. But the adobe form is not triggering at all.. Can any know how do i trigger adobe form from ME22n.
Is there any special print program for this please let me know..

Change the form entry in NACE , use entry_neu_adobe and that will work.

Trigger workflow from ABAP webdynpro and attach an Adobe interactive form

I have a need to create an ABAP Webdynpro that will upload a completed Adobe interactive form and then route the form to multiple approvers thru workflow. I am having trouble finding any documentation or examples of passing the Adobe form in the workflow. Do I have to save the content of every field on the form to an internal table and then have every workitem call an ABAP webdynpro to render the form? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Web Service is not triggering using Adobe Interactive Form

Hello Experts,
I know this is a common topic now , but the problem I am facing, no thread help me to solve that.
Problem:--
My requirement is to create an adobe form , in which
-> an input field is needed,and some description is needed.
I used button to trigger my webservice.
Here , I want to clear that , I have made a proper WEB SERVICE using Remote Enabled FM.
My web service is working fine as I have tested from WS NAVIGATOR(Note: http://<source>:<port>/wsnavigator).
In Adobe Form (SFP), I have made a new Data connection using WebService WSDL.
All Request and Response parameters are availabe in Data View palletes of Form.
Button that is available from data connection is used.
I have used Button as an Execute button , under execute tab in connection , I had given DATA CONNECTION name .
But above things not worked so ,
I also tried with Regular Button , and under click written Javascript/FormCalc which is:--

Solved my self, converted PDF into image and used that pdf as a static image in Adobe Interactive Form.

How to display Adobe Interactive Form from ABAP (not WDABAP)

I have created a WD ABAP application that creates an Adobe Interactive Form (ZCI) and submits it for workflow. All of the data on the form is saved in custom itables in the SAP System. The end-users are supposed to save a copy of the form at the last step in the workflow before they "Acknowledge" the task in UWL. Once the acknowledge takes place, they can no longer display the form in UWL. They want an ABAP program that will read the data from the various custom tables and display a "print" version of the form (not interactive).
I am calling FM 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME' to get the function module for the form. I then call FM 'FP_JOB_OPEN' with the parameter IE_OUTPUTPARAMS-REQNEW set to ABAP_TRUE. The call to the form FM has the following EXPORTING parameters:
    EXPORTING
    /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS   =
      /1BCDWB/DOCXML         =
I understand the /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS but have no idea what needs to be done to for the /1BCDWB/DOCXML parameter. Can anyone offer any advice or assistance?

this is really simple - the reason you have that /1BCDWB/DOCXML is because you defined your form interface to have an XML based interface.
While this is great for ABAP Web Dynpro, because the XML is generated for you, this is NOT the case with regular ABAP.
You should choose ABAP Data Dictionary-Based Interface. You will then be able to add tables, structures and fields to your interface.
For instance, here's code from a program where I call the form in regular ABAP
data: ls_worksheet TYPE Zxxx_structure.
* Fill the ls_worksheet structure here.
* Call the generated function module
CALL FUNCTION ls_function
    EXPORTING
      /1bcdwb/docparams = fp_docparams
      worksheet          = ls_worksheet
    IMPORTING
      /1bcdwb/formoutput = ls_form_output
    EXCEPTIONS

Notice I do not have the /1BCDWB/DOCXML Exporting parameter.
Just change your interface to a Data Dictionary Based, and add the tables/structures/fields to it.
then, go to your calling program, fill them, and pass the data through the Exporting parameter.

Update table after filling an adobe interactive form inside a workflow

I have the following workflow problem:
I made a webdynpro application that incudes an adobe interactive form. An user fill this form. After filling the form he will press the submit button. The data will be introduced in the custom table and a workflow will be started.
Inside the workflow, I attached the form filled by the user. After attaching it I introduce a user decision step in order to see the content of the pdf attachment, modify it and send again. So, the person that will execute the workitem has to open that pdf and fill some additional fields. The information should be updated in the table and then send to other persons. I don't know how to update the table with the new values that are inserted in the form in that decisional step and send the updated form to the other users.

You cannot do that through decision step with attachment. You have to do with task registation in t-code SWFVISU. so the work item will come to UWL once the approver clicks the work item it opens and entered his comments, You have to caputer the comments and pass these comments to the workflow container element from there you update to your custom table.

Calling BAPI from Adobe Interactive Form

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement from my client to work on interface using BAPI for creating Service notification. Idea is that users will fill an Adobe interactive form (AIF) on company INTRANET and as soon as user press a SUBMIT button on the adobe form, BAPI should be called to create a SERVICE NOTIFICATION (Tcode IW51). I have work with BAPIs and I know the BAPI name (BAPI_SERVNOT_CREATE) to create SERVICE NOTIFICATIONS, but not with this kind of interface. Please advice me how to go about it and if some one can share any documentations to accomplish this task.
Another developer is in charge of developing the AIF and I am responsible for ABAP side .

Kindly check the webDynpro ABAP section of Intercative form homepage. at - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/adobe.
You can create a portal application and call your BAPI. Other options include - webDynpro Java, calling webservice (if the call can be unsecured). You will be able to call secure web services from adobe forms from future versions afaik.

Calling RFC from Adobe Interactive Form

After creating and calling Adobe Interactive form from ABAP web dynpro, within the form designer is it possible to call RFC or Business Object method from the form script to get the data back from SAP for specific Click events?

Yes,
this is possible, but not through pure RFC, but using webservices and webservice enabled function modules within SAP.
Technically it is quite simple. Create a functionmodule, and create a webserve from that (all SE37 or SE80 but from WAS 6.40). Generate a WSDL (with the Java tool) and import that into the form that you are designing. From there you can bind the data from the dataset (as defined in the WSDL) to screenfields or treat the data any other way Javascript can.
BTW. I only managed this so far by using anonymous logins, so with a password and username bound to the webservice (in SICF).

Using Adobe Cycler Designer you can design an interactive Form (fields to be filled by the client, buttons, etc.) and you can integrate this with webDynpros ABAP and JAVA. I want to make an iview that connects with this webDynpro and also generates this form to be filled by the user, so it can send the data back to the sap system.
