Triggering IDoc from R3 using variant program

Hi,
I am using the variant program to trigger the IDoc from R/3 System.
It is successful in r/3 system but its not reaching in XI.
Help me in resolving this issue.

  • Re-triggering Idocs from SAP Communication layer

    Hi,
Our webmethods middleware went down for 4 hours. We are trying to see if there is a quick way to retrigger Idocs from SAP for around 3000 doc (various doc, PO, SO, Delivery, Shipment etc). Trying to see if we can change the status in SAP and retrigger (without writing a program). Is there a way to do it. Any pointers would be useful.
    Thanks,
    Anand

There is no quick way to resend IDocs that have already passed.  I worked at a client in the past that had written a custom program to change the status of an IDoc.  The report program had a similar selection screen to WE05, but current status and new status as parameters.  The program would retrieve IDocs based on the selection criteria and update EDIDC-STATUS to '30'.  You can then resend the IDocs using RSEOUT00.
You do not need to modify EDIDS.

  • Printing Purchase Order from ME9F using custom program and smartform

I was able to use my custom program which calls a smartform to print purchase orders from transaction ME9F. I did this using transaction NACE.
However, when I call "Output Message" from ME9F, the output always fails (shown by an 'X' icon after the checkbox). When I try to put back the standard program in NACE, it does not show an 'X' but a check which indicates that the printing was successful.
Do you know why this happens? What did I miss?
Here's my call to my smartform from my custom driver program:

    I have this problem though,
Whenever I try to provide values for CONTROL_PARAMETERS and OUTPUT_OPTIONS to the sapscript call in your code, the PO printing (even the preview) does not proceed. I do this because I wanted to suppress the printer dialog.

I tried to trace it to the function module generated by smartform. The error propagates this way: From the function module, there is a call to function SSFCOMP_PROCESS_DOCUMENT. Then inside that function, there is a perform operation to tr_ssfcomp_process_doc
    perform tr_ssfcomp_process_doc using startpage docstruc
                                           header.
Inside that form, it calls the macro tr_active which checks the value of ssfcstat-trlevel (tracelevel) against c_trlevel_document. In the macro, if ssfcstat-trlevel is less than c_trlevel_document, the smartform will fail. c_trlevel_document is 15 and ssfcstat-trlevel is 0, and so the smartform fails.
(you can see the macro tr_active in include LSTXBCMAC and the form tr_ssfcomp_process_doc is in the include LSTXBCFTR)
When I do not put values in CONTROL_PARAMETERS and OUTPUT_OPTIONS, everything is ok.
Do you know why this happens?
    Thanks in advance!
Edit: I have found out about transaction SFTRACE, but this is disabled.

  • IDoc delta loads using the program RBDMIDOC

    Hi ALL,
We are doing some delta loads for ALE-IDOC using the program RBDMIDOC and we are using the message type HRMD_A.Under this message type we have configured two diff distribution models with different infotype data.
So when we execute the program we have only one input parameter that takes the message type.based on our setup will the program send the delta loads for both the distribution models since they are using the same message type which we do not want.
How do we restrict the program to send the delta loads only for the intended distribution models even though they are using the same message type.
    Thanks
    Bala Duvvuri

    Hi Bala,
Assuming that based on IDoc content there is some way to determine which system should be the recipient, you could do the following (requires ABAP development as indicated by Mylène):
Define a new filter object type if required via BD95.
Assign new or existing filter object to E1PLOGI segment field FILTER1 or FILTER2 via BD59
Create BAdI implementation for HRALE00OUTBOUND_IDOC and implement method FILTER_VALUES_SET to set values for FILTER1 or FILTER2
Even without the BAdI implementation you'd see the new filter value appearing in your distribution model for message type HRMD_A. However, you need the ABAP logic for filling the fields with actual values that you can utilize.

  • Triggering IDoc from SE38

    hi,
i am triggering IDoc to XI from my report in ABAP.
when i am filling the control record in the report , the value for the RCVPRN i.e receiver partner should be determined from the partner profiles and should not be hard coded in the report.
how do i achieve this .
    kindly help
    very urgent
    regards ,
    loveena

    HI,
You can do this with ABAP report.
Please refer the table EDP21---Partner Profile: Inbound
Here all the message types for the Logical system are maintained.
From this you could get the RCVPRN values. The field SNDPRN contains the values of RCVPRN.
But here one Message type can be available with multiple RCVPRN values. So in ABAP code you need to handle as per requirment.

  • Unable to locate existing  file from unix using java program

    Hi
    I have created a file in unix using java program, file.createNewFile();
And when i try to search for the same file using file.exists() it is returning false. Paths are correct. Can anybody help me out.
    Thanks & Regards,

    In Linux FC5 using JDK1.6, this code         File temp = new File(System.getProperty("user.home") + "/abcdefghijklmn");
System.out.println(temp.createNewFile());prints 'true' and the file is created with length zero.

  • Triggering idoc from ECC to XI

    I have a idoc-xi-jms scenario where
I have a matrial master, and whenever I change sth in it idoc got to be triggered from ECC with change pointer logic.
I have changed 2 materials and when I ran the RBDMIDOC Program manually, surprisingly some 20000 idocs are triggered.
Can somebody advise me how can I avoid this typical problem if I want to send only changed materials ( i.e only 2 idocs) ??
    Thanks
    kumar

the change pointer program ususally accumlates all the changes ad then sends them out....
chk the tables CDHDR and CDPOS for changes usually before you trigger the RBDMIDOC program.
Also you can create use the enhancement spot to create a custom code which deletes the changes caused by other criteria than wht you are looking for.
    Hope this helps!!
    Cheers!!

  • Getting the log files from client using java program

    hi
this is lalita...and i am doing a project in networking.... i am new to socket programming....i have established the socket connection between the client and server...with this site members' help....now i have to get the log files of the client system from the server.... via the created socket....i need it by tomorrow...i.e apr 12th ....as i have to show it to my guide...
i just need a core java program that will get the log information of the client from the server......
Can anybody please help me in this regard..... it would be of great help to me and my group....
    Anxiously awaiting for the replies....
    Thanking you and regards...
    Lalita.

    Simple.
Server is listening on a specific port for the connection from the clients.
Connect the client with the server on the above mentioned port.
Open the streams on both side for the connection and run in separate thread.
Define a protocol for communication between client and server.
e.g after connection with the server the server send a text message to the client (send log) now the client first should the log file name and size to the sever and then send the file. the server should save the file.
then disconnect the client or want to get another file or for other tasks define the other commands

  • Multiple IDocs to File using BPM

    Hi All,
I have configured a scenario of multiple IDocs to file using BPM.  In this scenario while I am triggering IDoc from R/3 system it is sent to the external program.    I am getting in the status record of WE05 as IDoc is sent to an external system with status code 03. But I am unable to view the same message in moni of the XI system.
Also I have checked the ALE settings on both the sender and receiver side and it is fine.
Also in SM58 nothing is there in queue.
Can anyone solve this issue of mine?
    Cheers,
    Neethu.

    Hi,
in many cases it's a problem with the RFC connection. You should try an authorization test in SM59 of the R/3 system.

  • Send IDoc from External System to SAP system

    Hi Folks,
I have a requirement to send IDocs from an external system to the SAp system. Basically the external system is a subsystem which is able to send & receive idocs. The external system is currently able to send idocs to SAP system through the ALE layer but now we have to replace it by PI. Now the external system has to send teh IDocs to the SAP ECC system through the SAP PI 7.0.
Kindly let me knowq how I can achieve it.
    Regards,
      Santosh

    Hi Satish,
    You can achieve this requirement
1)If your external system going to support web service cals then send IDoc from External system as a web service, in PI use sender side SOAP and receiver side IDoc receiver channel  to  send IDoc.
    or
2)Use proxy program ,implement the same ALE logic in PI.
      or
3)Copy the Extenal IDoc message in to file folder as XML,then use file adapter to pick up this message and send it SAP using IDoc.

  • Send IDOC from Business Connector to SAP faster

    Hi Developer!
I need to send a very lot of IDOC converted from XML files from the Business Connector to SAP. The XML files are in different directories pro business partner, but they have a same type (ISU_MSCONS).
My problem, that the import take a lot of time. Only in every 3 seconds (IDOC creation time) gets (or works up?) the SAP one IDOC. I start diferent services pro partner at the same time to import the IDOCs, but I couldnt short the 3 second work time in the SAP. So you can count it easy, that in 1 minute I can import 20, in 1 hour 1200, in 1 day 28800 IDOCs instead of 100.000.
It is really parallel import? Have anybody any idea to make the import more faster. I know (asked the SAP Administrator) so, one BC - SAP connection (Program_ID) has more pools (= threads) in the SAP at the same time.
    Thanks any help,
    Charlie

    Hi,
Chk the following details which will be helpful:
A Summary of the Steps to be carried out to enable a SAP R/3 System send Idocs to SAP Exchange Infrastructure.
First - Maintain the Sender R/3 System:
SM59 : Create a RFC destination to XI
WE21 : Create a TRFC Port ->Specify the RFC Destination Created
BD54 : Create a Logical System for the Idoc Receiver
WE20 : Create Partner Profile ->Maintain Outbound and the Inbound Parameters
Second - Log on to XI System:
SM59 : RFC Destination for Sender System
IDX1 : Create the port to get Idoc Metadata from Sender System ( The Port Name must match the port name in the idoc header - Usually in format SAP<System ID>. eg. SAPID1 [Optional Step. Not mandatory]
IDX2 : Maintain the Idoc Metadata. This is needed only by XI, and not by other SAP systems. IDX2 is needed because XI needs to construct IDoc-XML from the IDoc. No other SAP system needs to do that.
Also chk the following link providing details of pushing idocs:

  • Creation of Idocs from the change pointers by the program RBDMIDOC

    Hello,
I'm Creating Idocs from the change pointers by the program RBDMIDOC.
The IDOCS Created using the message type HRMD_A are Correct but when i try to RUN RBDMIDOC for message type HRMD_B no Data is selected for distribution.
All the customizing are similar and i presume that all the change pointers are active (BD50 and IMG->Personnel Management -> Organizational Management  -> Basic Settings -> Activate change documents).
Can anyone help me with the necessary steps to create this IDOC types.
Do anyone know if the RBDMIDOC report is the Same for messages HRMD_A and HRMD_B.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Pedro Ferreira

If the setting is fine, there may be some code in exit or badi for program RBMIDOC. Check the Exit and BADI.
    check the exit EXIT_SAPLBD11_001 and
    check the badi IDOC_CREATION_CHECK.
Probably there may be some code on these exits which are stoping your code from getting generated. These are the two trigger happen once u execute the RBMIDOC program.for HR, we use RHALEINI program to generate the idoc. but even RBDMIDOC works. These 2 triggere will come with RHALEINI also.
If there is no code here, Then there is problem in the setting only.

  • Steps of EDI is used to transfer IDOC from R3 system to non sap system

    Hi Experts,
Can you provide me Steps to configure EDI is used to transfer IDOC from R3 system to non sap system?
    Full points will be assigned.
    Thanks in advance!
    Sapna

    Hello,
The EDI Configuration required to be done for Transfering IDoc to non SAP System is.
    1. First of all, we need to identify the Transaction Data which is required to be Transfered to external System.(Ex: Sales Order Data or Shipment Data or Delivery Related Data).
    2. Secondly, Identify the IDoc Type & Message Type. IDoc Type can be found in Transaction WE30 & Message Type Can be explored in Transaction WE81.
    3. After that, assign the IDoc Type to Message Type in WE82.
    4. Identify the Selection Program (Outbound) which is generally a Function Module in the Form of IDOC_OUTPUT_<Message Type>. Example, if the Message Type is ORDERS, the FM will be IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS.
    5. Assign the Function Module to a Process Code in WE41 (Process Code for Outbound).
    6. Configure Port Definitions in WE21 for which the RFC destinations are to be maintained in Transaction SM59.
    7. Maintain Partner Profiles for the Outbound Message Processing in WE20.
    8. Last, but not the Least, we need to Focus Mainly on Message Control Configuration which is nothing but maintaining the Output Type for the Outbound IDoc to be Triggered for the Sales Order Application or Delivery Application.
       i. In Message Control Configuration, we'll maintain
          a. Condition Tables
          b. Access Sequences
          c. Output Types
ii. To Create the above elements, we can go to SPRO Transaction and do the same depending on the Application Area such as Sales / Shipping / Logistics Execution etc.
iii. For Output Types & Access Sequences, we can go to the Transaction NACE or VK01 in which we'll maintain the Output Types / Access Sequences & Condition Records.
Please note that all the above steps may not be needed if we are using some of the Standard Elements provided by SAP such as Message Type, Process Code, IDoc Type & Selection Program as many of the Standard SAP Applications have their own Elements for different Application Areas.
For example, if you want to send an Order Confirmation IDoc when the Sales Order is saved, you can use the Message Type ORDRSP, IDoc Type ORDERS05 & Selection Program as IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP.
However, Message Control Configuration is the Key Factor and is required for all the Applications as per the Customer's / Client's Requirements.
Hope the above procedure was clear.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Venkat Phani Prasad Konduri
